Kyron Horman Missing and Endangered Sources: Terri Horman Hired Landscape Lover
Portland, OR- Like a Roman Candle will light up the sky in most of our neighborhoods today, the Portland Community is aflame with this mornings breaking developments.
As reportedly leaked to The Oregonian, one of two media outlets booted from the recent press conference hosted by Kaine Horman, Desiree and Tony Young, sources say Terri Horman, step-mom to missing 7 year old Kyron Horman, attempted to hire her landscape lover to murder her husband, Kaine Horman.
Last Saturday, June 26, Multnomah County Detectives advised Kaine Horman that his wife had hired a landscaper without his knowledge, and the expert in landscape services admitted he was offered a large sum of money by Terri Horman to off Kaine, allegedly after discovering his affair with a colleague.
Remniscient of the blockbuster black comedy hit FARGO, MCSO detectives attempted to ensnare Terri Horman into a conversation about the murder for hire plot with the cooperating landscaper and an undercover officer, but Horman ended the conversation quickly.
While Terri Horman was undergoing her second polygraph on that Saturday afternoon, detectives informed Kaine Horman of the confirmed finding, and advised him to remove himself and the couples 18 month old daughter from the marital residence. Within 48 hours Horman filed for divorce and an emergency restraining order which was granted and subsequently sealed to protect the integrity of the investigation.
Sources speaking to blinkoncrime on the condition of anonymity, have confirmed that the landscaper, whose identity is being withheld as he is a material witness in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Kyron Horman, met Terri Horman on the grounds of Skyline School.
Skyline Schools Garden and Habitat Project kicked off Last August, and it was not unusual to see white landscaper trucks in the parking lot, although it is not known if the landscaper witness is involved in the project.
The project, funded by a grant from West Multnomah Soil &Water Conservation District, is one of many funded in part by WMSWCD. Recently, on Sauvie Island, the focus of the intensive search efforts, the “Healthy Streams” initiative kicked off.
The objective on Sauvie Island agricultural land is to reduce invasive plant species and tillage directly adjacent to waterways, which may contribute to erosion and sedimentation. WMSWCD will pay to install and maintain non-invasive herbaceous buffers, or woody plants if consistent with canal maintenance needs. These should be easier for farmers to maintain, better protect livestock drinking water, irrigation and drainage canals, and offer pollinator habitat.
On Friday afternoon, following a Thursday plea from Kyron’s Mom, Desiree Young for Terri Horman to cooperate fully with investigators to bring Kyron home, Multnomah County Sheriff Dan Staton attempted to repair the riff caused by Kaine Horman’s abrupt “off the record” rules to the press which was not disclosed until arrival.
“..There have been 2,877 valid leads and about 60 percent of them have been covered. Each lead takes detectives in a new direction, making it difficult to pursue the remaining leads faster, he said.
“Everyone is a person of interest,” Staton said in response to questions about any specific individuals…”
Blinkoncrime.com attempted to reach Terri Horman attorney Stephen Houze for a comment on the latest rumors surrounding his client, but was told he is unreachable on the East coast. My media contacts are telling me that Houze is shopping imaging and licensing rights to fund his clients representation, should she be charged of any criminal offenses. Terri Horman has neither been charged in Kyron’s disappearance nor the alleged attempt to contract for her husbands death.

It cannot be a ko ink y dink that this information was leaked to the largest paper in the state, following the snuff by Kaine Horman. The landscaper lover was well known amongst us media folks, but not the plot part.
Where is started to go cattywampus for me was where we see the new John Deere tractor aquired by the Horman’s recently, would seem somewhat unnecessary if they had contracted a landscaper/lawn service.
Another oddity which could be completely unrelated, stays with me.
Intel colleague and Horman family friend Michael G. Roten, was arrested last August on suspicion of menacing charges in Clackamas County the day after an Intel bag with a Sony computer, prescription Gucci glasses was taken from a vehicle on Country Club Rd. It is not known if the 2 incidents are related. Roten posted on Terri Horman’s facebook offering any help they could, a few days after Kyron’s disappearance was made public.

Early on, there was a little girl that had a sister in Kyron’s class that was posting on Facebook. She said that some kids in Skyline had suspicions & had told le. I think the teen girl’s name is Jaime, not sure bc I didn’t save it. I swear I think some info came out in those questionaires that the police sent to the families attending the school on June 4th.
I wonder if there were any landscape trucks parked at the school the day Kyron went missing? Because it might have been a way to get Kyron
away from the school. Im not sure how they would have gotten him
into a van to take him away. We know either his stepmom got him out
or someone else, but how in the world did they get him out of the school with no one noticing.

Does anyone know if they had some remodeling work done in the last few months? Maybe involving someone that works in construction? Since she tried using hired help before, maybe again?
And thank you Blink for bring up the fact that there is no way you can get a RO based on some unproven claim by one person. That was bugging me. So, there is still so much more we don’t know.
Between this case and that of Morgan Harrington, the past few days have shown us that until we know what they know (LE) we are merely blowing in the wind. I respect you and everyone who tries to sort out fact from fiction and who think outloud and outside the box. What I would caution though is to make no assumptions based on unverifiable information.
This case certainly is rife with gossip and inuendo. I have no idea if there were affairs, solicitation of murder, drug use, atypical sexual or other activities. All I know for a fact at this point is that a dear and innocent child is missing and presumed harmed.
As all of you, I hope and pray that Kyron is found alive…
The reason I asked about his heritage is because a guy who works for Sherpa Landscaping has a child at Skyline Elementary and did some work at the school last fall. His name is Ang Tsering Sherpa and coincidentally he has a picture of his kid at the Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch. He lives close to the school.
This could be a scenario as could be taken from the above….TH searches out a complete stranger and want him to kill her husband…who is to say that was her first attempt to hire someone. I am not sure she was getting it on with the landscaper. If taken literally he could just love landscape. But one would think she was desperate if he was in fact a mere acquaintance through services oriented work ie.. the butler, the chauffer, “oh pool boy“….Perhaps she uses sex to add to $attraction. Maybe she reached out to someone she new more intimately ie…friends, relatives, neighbors, coworkers. Something went haywire at least 10 months ago. This grudge thing that began then against TH escalates until she sends James away for his protection. He is not as supervised as the baby, Kyron was somewhat closer watched than James so she felt he was fine and she could not explain to KH why she would want Kyron to go to DY early. I am sure he was scheduled to visit for the summer. He would be safe then. But the grudge seeker stepped up his game. Poor little Kyron. I will think he is still here until I know different. It makes me think of a deal with a devil.

I guess I don’t understand why she hasn’t been arrested yet on solicitation charges unless they don’t have enough proof.
What makes me sick is if the landscaper had gone to the police when this first happened, they could have prevented this whole thing happening with Kyron (if there is a connection).
Could the landscaper had made up this whole story just to put some blame on TH, or deflect blame from himself?

Where did you hear that Terri called 911? Are you talking about the calls last weekend? Because those coincided with Kaine’s getting a restraining order against Terri and leaving the house with Kiara. In fact media sources list the 11pm’ish call to be one about “child custody”. So I will assume that Terri was probably calling to protest Kaine taking Kiara, but when police told her the RO allowed him to, that was that. In the first 911 call, which was somewhere around 5 or 6pm I think, police actually did come out to the house. So that was probably Terri getting home from being questioned and finding Kaine packing his bags.
Otherwise, I haven’t heard anything to the effect that Terri called the cops about the landscaper.
As far is him being her bf or whatever, well AFAIK that’s just speculation. But, most people don’t just randomly ask the hired help to kill their spouse. It would SEEM in a situation like this, Terri had a friendly (or intimate) relationship with the landscaper; whereupon she tried to make him feel bad for her, claiming her husband was cheating etc. etc. That seems the more likely route to try and seduce someone into committing murder for you. Otherwise, I suppose she could’ve just walked right up to him and said “hey man, I’m looking for someone to murder my husband, you game?” But that seems highly unlikely.
IF you were going to commit such a crime, you’d likely want the person you’re asking to have some kind of loyalty or connection to you; otherwise, what prevents them from going straight to the police? And what prevented this guy from going to the police until recently, when the murder-for-hire thing was discussed months ago? The only thing I can think of, is he cared enough about her not to want to get her in trouble, and he didn’t really believe she meant it. Otherwise, Terri had something on him.
With regards to the timeline for the alleged murder request; how does this tie-in with when Terri’s son was moved out of the house? I believe Terri’s ex-husband (james birth father and current guardian?) said Terri was the one who moved him out, because he didn’t get along with Kaine.
So, motive? Her son “forced” to go live with his grandparents because he didn’t get along with Kaine? The timeline seems kinda right. Perhaps the murder would be in retaliation for moving James out? Or maybe he was moved out so that he would not be a suspect?

I don’t believe it’s been substantiated at all that Kaine was having an affair; only that that may have been what Terri told the landscaper in order to justify wanting to kill him.
I’m also not sure where the idea of Kaine being in a gay affair came from either; maybe the mention of the second Intel employee from this article. This Michael Roten was arrested on “menacing” and offered help to Terri post-Kyron going missing. So, I’m inferring that perhaps — and this would be a leap — this guy could possibly maybe have been recruited by Terri when the landscaper wouldn’t help her get at Kaine. So yeah, I don’t believe there’s anything to do with Kaine being bi or having an affair with this man. I think it was possibly something said by Terri to convince the landscaper that Kaine was a bad guy and it was ok to kill him.
Forgot to add that AFAIK it’s only speculation that Terri was having an affair. As I said in a previous post, it’s probably more likely to convince someone to do such a dirty deed, if you have an intimate/caring relationship with them.
Doesn’t mean she was having an affair; just that it’s a possibility; and one that would make sense as to why this landscaper kept quiet all this time.
I don’t see in the article where it references the claim of lover, to explain the claim in the articles teaser..or where it says it’s from an unnamed source. What’s timely about today?
Houze is on the verge of a public statement and this leak adds immeasurably to the questions which will be posed to him by the national media? Would this somehow force his/Terri’s “hand”?
It’s a National Holiday weekend when families are at leisure, watching media and also “out and about” at parks and waterways? Some of which have been relandscaped in the Healthy Streams initiative?
Terri’s lawyered up, in other words, dried up as a resource. So now, LE is directing the public’s attention to landscapers with an association with the school and/or any recent landscape excavations?
By leaking to The Oregonian in particular, LE is now playing hard ball with Kaine? Sort of like, Here now you’re already a bit public-image-tarnished. Time to get squeeky clean with us or you can start looking more and more public-image-tarred?

So TH has not been arrested for Kyron’s disappearance, nor for trying to have her husband killed. Exactly what does someone have to do to get arrested? I’m pretty sure that if I went out and peed on my neighbors yard that I’d get arrested!
Is it normal for a person such as TH, who looks to be obviously screwed up and potentially extremely dangerous to not be held somewhere at this point so she doesn’t hurt anyone else or herself?
I’m curious as to what else is known that makes her un-arrestable at this point. Is there still something even bigger on the horizon that we just can’t imagine? I think that whatever happens in the long run, it’s going to take down more people than just TH.
I sure would not want ANY connection to this family right now!

This case is like a big rotten onion, and all I want is to peel off all the yucky layers so I can get to the sweet little sprout in the middle that’s trying to get out. Poor sweet Kyron. What makes me so angry is that there are people involved who know exactly what happened to him, and rather than take accountability for their selfish behavior and the results of their actions, they let this drag on and on to protect their own interests. Horrible! I wish with all my heart that this would end and they could bring Kyron home.
I just hope he’s out there somewhere, eating ice cream and watching the fireworks, having a blast.

Just so you know, since you’re new here…Blink is an accomplished “everything” (I don’t know, sleuth, but so much more) as far as criminal activity goes. She has her connections out there. If she is saying “lover” and the paper isn’t reporting it, that is because she has it from a reliable source that that is/was the case. Blink only posts facts as she knows them (and believes the source), and if they are not reported publicly, it is only a matter of time before they will be. She gets the inside scoop so to speak – no rumors, no speculation. Love ya Blink!

There’s more to this than meets the eye, as Terri has stated.
IMO Kaine has brought all this on. Terri had to remove her son from the house because of Kaine. She called 911 because of threats from Kaine. She’s been living in absolute terror of him.
If we wonder where Terri would have gotten a ‘large amount of money to pay the yard guy, we could assume that money would come from a life insurance policy, with revenge served at the same time.
What monetary reward would there be with Kyron’s disappearance? If none, then she couldn’t have used money as a tool. She would be left with revenge only, and have to think she wouldn’t get caught.
If both sides of the marriage have dirty secrets then there can be husbands/wives of others that could have motive.
I wonder whose car that was that was broken into? I wonder who MR was arrested for menacing? He was quick to leave a note on TH facebook after Kryon went missing. I have no idea about the answers to these, but have to wonder how upset he would be at the person that got him arrested?
And, on a different note,
I also wonder if Mr. Villarreal might know Tanner’s father, houseboat guy, since they are about the same age?

Poor Kyron, what a mess he lived in.
Someone on one of the psychics website said she has been looking at areas connected with WMSWCD for some time now due to “unexplained information”. I’m guessing the affair with the landscaper isn’t a well-kept secret. If that’s the case, I’m surprised no one else has come forward with it, unless they’ve been asked not to by the SO.
We’ve all been looking for someone known to the family, familiar with the school and someone Kyron wouldn’t consider a stranger. Doesn’t the landscaper fit these criteria?

Anyway, a couple thoughts I feel a need to post. One, rumors abound that KH and TH are swingers. I think more like they are polyamorous and affairs don’t mean much to them.
Regarding TH’s attorney shopping media rights, there is something I have been wondering. The large release of pictures of Kryon, to CBS I believe, as they are on the CBS site, who released those and do you now if CBS (or anyone) paid for them? And if yes they paid, who did they pay?

I am just hopping this landscaping-lover-guy is not some illegal and LE can use him and his statements …In our area most of the landscping businesses are handle by illegals or ppl who are not employable due to previous/current records with police…I am not reffering a bit to the recent unemployed folcks…my example is for the once who never had jobs,never payd taxes and were never help to society in any way
I am divided as to how I feel about lawyers selling images to media outlets in order to generate funds for criminal defense.
It bothers my sensibilities. But on the other hand, most people accused of serious crimes are absolutely unable to fund a good defense. I am glad when the appearantly guilty have adequit defense attorneys. That way, when guilty verdicts are decided, we know that it’s been done fairly; he/she had good representation but was still found guilty.
Where else could the funds come from?

What a great article..it added the extra info that was missing to make all the connections.
I have a theory ..I’ll say that maybe the person involved in the affair with Kaine, in Terri’s distorted reasoning, made Terri feel that removing her son from the home, trying to entice her lover to murder Kaine, and finally removing her step-son was necessary.
This is the only theory that gives me hope that she has disappeared Kyron to a person and place she feels is safe.
You know me..you know where I am going with this. I know you can’t comment…just speculating here that something very pertinent about Kaine’s lover in his affair set her off big time.

Wafting in the air is some eau d’Anthony. Terri would become the ultimate victim if her stepson was kidnapped and possibly murdered and then (!) her husband, the poor boy’s father was killed shortly after–what a tragic nightmare for Terri! Wouldn’t the media have a field day? Her “grief acting” skills would be challenged with every talk show and interview and NG ‘grilling’ she would get. However, she would fool them all, have Kiara, the house, the money, and her freedom!

TH may have coerced the Landscaper (LS) into helping with her kidnap plot. If LE found out that he had agreed to commit the murder, in the beginning–maybe she taped their discussions–he’d be up on Attempted Murder charges. Now! If an about-face happened and *he* taped her talking about this, then he’d be free to go to LE, who then unsuccessfully tried to get her to cop to it once again with the undercover officer present.

@FLGirl & Minima, you guys pretty much covered it for me. All I can add is another “WOW” and a reminder that we don’t know that Kaine had an affair, we know that TH said he did, and you can’t bank on that in Denver.
The sheriff benefits from the leak. He has the newspaper to deal with long after this case is resolved. I think the leak also heralds pending events of significance.

I predict at least one arrest in this case this week, and I daresay I do not feel the first arrest will be Terri.
I think the threat call from Terri was about landscaper enounter under the guise of getting her to say something surreptitiously.
Here’s how this went down.
Subject Landscaper is in interview Room A, full view of hall traffic.
On way to interview Room B, Terri passes room A, and realizes it will not help her to pretend he does not exist anymore.
While getting statement from landscaper, LE informs Kaine, and advises him for his and his daughter’s safety, they are aware of a crdible threat to their person, by his wife.
During landscaper statement, they get him to agree to wear a wire, to confirm if he is in fact, telling the truth.
In Terri interview and polly, she admits affair, but denies murder plot, ends interview, specifying she will retain counsel before being interviewed again.
At some point, the “exhange of words to be recorded happens in some fashion. Possiby at the Sherriffs Office, while they are left alone. Perhaps he goes to the house to confront her:
“The cops know about us, and I told them the truth that you hired me to kill Kaine.”
She says, your crazy, don’t ever bother me again. Calls 911 says she is afraid for her safety based on that confrontation, as this person is unstable. Concern for breach of peace at her residence.
Wherever she is, she has been told or figured out Kaine knows and left her.
Call 11ish, welfare concern for her daughter. Is likely told that her husband and child are safe, and they will need to address custody issues in family court.

No wonder grandpa said Terri had a 50/50 chance of being arrested. I wonder if since he told that to the People reporter he found out about the landscaper. I would think the odds have gone up if that is new news to the family.

So TH has not been arrested for Kyron’s disappearance, nor for trying to have her husband killed. Exactly what does someone have to do to get arrested? I’m pretty sure that if I went out and peed on my neighbors yard that I’d get arrested!

I would assume that they’re holding off on an arrest in order to get her to tell them where Kyron is. IF Terri has an accomplice, it would seem it’s not the landscaper as he would’ve surely told the police about Kyron if he told about Terri wanting him to kill Kaine.
If there is an accomplice, well it seems LE doesn’t know who it is. Or else they’re putting this info out there now maybe to get said possible accomplice to come forward? Not really sure.

If we wonder where Terri would have gotten a ‘large amount of money to pay the yard guy, we could assume that money would come from a life insurance policy, with revenge served at the same time.
What monetary reward would there be with Kyron’s disappearance? If none, then she couldn’t have used money as a tool. She would be left with revenge only, and have to think she wouldn’t get caught.

Well, if she couldn’t kill Kaine, the best way to make him suffer would be to take away his son. So, it makes sense to me. I mean, if she hated him enough to want to kill him, she hated him enough to want to harm his child.

I agree that we don’t know if LS was a lover, but we do have some suspicion from the older students at the school. I’m guessing they were quite involved with the landscaping projects and are highly of aware of anything of a sexual nature. Not that they’d be right, but I’m leaning that way.
