Kyron Horman Missing and Endangered Sources: Terri Horman Hired Landscape Lover
Portland, OR- Like a Roman Candle will light up the sky in most of our neighborhoods today, the Portland Community is aflame with this mornings breaking developments.
As reportedly leaked to The Oregonian, one of two media outlets booted from the recent press conference hosted by Kaine Horman, Desiree and Tony Young, sources say Terri Horman, step-mom to missing 7 year old Kyron Horman, attempted to hire her landscape lover to murder her husband, Kaine Horman.
Last Saturday, June 26, Multnomah County Detectives advised Kaine Horman that his wife had hired a landscaper without his knowledge, and the expert in landscape services admitted he was offered a large sum of money by Terri Horman to off Kaine, allegedly after discovering his affair with a colleague.
Remniscient of the blockbuster black comedy hit FARGO, MCSO detectives attempted to ensnare Terri Horman into a conversation about the murder for hire plot with the cooperating landscaper and an undercover officer, but Horman ended the conversation quickly.
While Terri Horman was undergoing her second polygraph on that Saturday afternoon, detectives informed Kaine Horman of the confirmed finding, and advised him to remove himself and the couples 18 month old daughter from the marital residence. Within 48 hours Horman filed for divorce and an emergency restraining order which was granted and subsequently sealed to protect the integrity of the investigation.
Sources speaking to blinkoncrime on the condition of anonymity, have confirmed that the landscaper, whose identity is being withheld as he is a material witness in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Kyron Horman, met Terri Horman on the grounds of Skyline School.
Skyline Schools Garden and Habitat Project kicked off Last August, and it was not unusual to see white landscaper trucks in the parking lot, although it is not known if the landscaper witness is involved in the project.
The project, funded by a grant from West Multnomah Soil &Water Conservation District, is one of many funded in part by WMSWCD. Recently, on Sauvie Island, the focus of the intensive search efforts, the “Healthy Streams” initiative kicked off.
The objective on Sauvie Island agricultural land is to reduce invasive plant species and tillage directly adjacent to waterways, which may contribute to erosion and sedimentation. WMSWCD will pay to install and maintain non-invasive herbaceous buffers, or woody plants if consistent with canal maintenance needs. These should be easier for farmers to maintain, better protect livestock drinking water, irrigation and drainage canals, and offer pollinator habitat.
On Friday afternoon, following a Thursday plea from Kyron’s Mom, Desiree Young for Terri Horman to cooperate fully with investigators to bring Kyron home, Multnomah County Sheriff Dan Staton attempted to repair the riff caused by Kaine Horman’s abrupt “off the record” rules to the press which was not disclosed until arrival.
“..There have been 2,877 valid leads and about 60 percent of them have been covered. Each lead takes detectives in a new direction, making it difficult to pursue the remaining leads faster, he said.
“Everyone is a person of interest,” Staton said in response to questions about any specific individuals…”
Blinkoncrime.com attempted to reach Terri Horman attorney Stephen Houze for a comment on the latest rumors surrounding his client, but was told he is unreachable on the East coast. My media contacts are telling me that Houze is shopping imaging and licensing rights to fund his clients representation, should she be charged of any criminal offenses. Terri Horman has neither been charged in Kyron’s disappearance nor the alleged attempt to contract for her husbands death.

It cannot be a ko ink y dink that this information was leaked to the largest paper in the state, following the snuff by Kaine Horman. The landscaper lover was well known amongst us media folks, but not the plot part.
Where is started to go cattywampus for me was where we see the new John Deere tractor aquired by the Horman’s recently, would seem somewhat unnecessary if they had contracted a landscaper/lawn service.
Another oddity which could be completely unrelated, stays with me.
Intel colleague and Horman family friend Michael G. Roten, was arrested last August on suspicion of menacing charges in Clackamas County the day after an Intel bag with a Sony computer, prescription Gucci glasses was taken from a vehicle on Country Club Rd. It is not known if the 2 incidents are related. Roten posted on Terri Horman’s facebook offering any help they could, a few days after Kyron’s disappearance was made public.

Let me reword my question: Was there ever any confirmation that TH contacted the school during the day to ask when the science projects needed to be removed? And, if so, at what time? Phone or email makes no difference.
Any contact would draw unnecessary attention to her. Attention would be unwanted if she wasn’t in on K’s disappearance.

Last fall, landscape designers, Patty Hune Florio, Terrie Stubbs, and Carole Senna, created the pictured concept plan for the front of the school that would enhance it’s ecological and educational function. The recently installed path and other changes that you now see happening at the school are examples of the plan becoming reality. While we have had to make some adjustments to the initial design, such as reducing the timber-and-gravel stairs from three to one poured-concrete set, the intention and feel of the concept design remains intact. Parents, Jil Denver (Biesemeyer), Skip Benton, Nora Schreiber, and Melanie Templeman will be working on choosing specific plants for the slopes shown and the mezzanine slope not shown. I for one don’t buy that the landscaper is a jilted lover and he abducted Kyron on his own. SM is definitely involved. Remember Occam’s Razor – the simplest explanation is usually the correct one. She was the last one to see him, there are glaring inconsistencies in her accounts, and her internet postings since the incident as RDSQL, HopeinVA, and other various pseudonyms have been nothing short of bizzare and frightening.
Moreover, while sex may be involved, this is not a “sex-driven” crime in my opinion. No offense, but SM is nothing to write home about in the looks department. Sounds like she and landscaper met after the birth of the daughter and after she put on some serious weight. I’m not trying to be crass, but just realistic. I’m not suggesting there wasn’t an affair (in fact, SM is probably quite “fun” and into some kinky stuff) but I can’t imagine any man agreeing to kill OR kidnap for her attentions in the bedroom only.
No, this is about money. Insurance or ransom or divorce proceeds but definitely about money. SM may have been abused emotionally by KH (which contributed to SM’s decision to take revenge/psychotic break) but I believe the landscaper (if he is even involved) is in it for money. Most likely he was supposed to get a cut of the ransom — which was demanded in a note which has yet to be made public. At this point, something seems to have gone terribly wrong and I’m afraid the boy is probably dead. Somebody probably panicked and killed him. I’m hoping I’m wrong but after reading SM’s posts we are dealing with one sick individual who most likely had no problem murdering her stepson to get back at her husband for his real or perceived wrongs.
I think most are assuming landscaper would get his own hands dirty, I do not.

I have come to respect your objective opinion in a short amount of time. I took a break from everything computer related this weekend and came back to all this mess. My hope has now dwindled to next to nothing that we will find him alive. My head is spinning from all the theories and I’m curious what you think, if you’re willing.

I said that my opinion was well established early, so did not feel the need to reitterate, because I think there are many that due to the possible scenarios believe Ky is alive.

Just have a comment about the Horman’s living in a rural area. They do live in a rural area but it is very close to the city. Skyline Elementary is only about 13 miles or just over a 20 minute drive from the heart of downtown Portland. They aren’t way out in the countryside. I kinda had a coniption (sp?) when I heard/found out there was no security cams/surveillance, check in/out for the science fair because of the school’s proximity to the downtown area. I live less than 15 miles from Skyline School and according to the last time I checked the State of Oregon Google Sex Offender Map, there were 58 SO’s categorized as “predator” living within one mile of my home. That is just a one mile radius. Skyline is not that far away. Why would a school be so lax? It is actually not the first time a kid went missing from a Portland Public School. It has been a long time now, but a girl got snatched from inside a middle school here several years back, dragged across the street to a motel and raped until she got away.
Kids need to be safe at school from harmful people. Anyways off that soapbox.

I do not believe LE would have allowed the info about the hit request by TH to LS to get out if they hadn’t confirmed it was accurate via some route, my guess being polygraph of the LS. Any little smidgens of info we get are not “leaks”. LE is allowing them out slowly very deliberately.
Also wondering… is the use of sodium pentathol (sp?) legal? If so, why haven’t they used it? If not, why isn’t it? And could it be used with permission from the person they want to use it on? I am so DAMN tired of perps having more rights than victims it makes me want to scream!
My theory is that TH was pissed off because JM moved out due to “problems” between him and Kaine. He’s a teenage boy, for heaven’s sake, of course there were problems! Who doesn’t have a problem or two with their teens? I believe it’s on their job description. TH blamed Kaine and wanted revenge. First she tried to have him offed. When that didn’t work out because her BF LS wouldn’t take the bait, she thought she would let Kaine know how it felt to be w/o his son, as she was without hers.
I believe she hasn’t been arrested yet because right now, it’s just TH’s word against the LS. That’s why they tried to get her on tape with the undercover officer. They are without proof. I still think polygraphs should be admissible in court. Ridiculous. Plus, if they arrest her, how will she lead them to Kyron?
I wonder if JM thinks TH is guilty? If so, I wonder if they could use him to bait her into confessing? I had a dream of the police setting up a sting using Kaine and JM as “actors”. LE made it appear that Kaine had snapped and kidnapped JM. JM appeared to be very scared and bloodied. Kaine appeared psychotic (I know I would if it were my kid missing!). Kaine made a plea with TH to let LE know where Kyron was or he would torture JM. What pissed me off was that I woke up before she gave up where she had him! At any rate, I sure thought it could possibly work. Who knows?

Actually, I disagree. The early story I read (nothing verified, just comments from locals on an online news story) was that TH emailed the teacher that afternoon about when to pick up the project. IMO…if I were involved and wanted to look innocent, I’d very possibly initiate ‘normal’ contact with the teacher during the day to both 1) establish the fact that I was going about my life with no knowledge that nothing was wrong with Kyron and with the assumption that he was at his school. I wouldn’t want to call the school…too risky, too much ‘acting’ on my behalf. But yeah, I would certainly email as though everything were A OK and as though I thought Kyron were at school…not to draw attention to myself but to draw attention to how I was totally unaware/innocent of what was soon to be discovered.
heh, realized I didn’t add my #2…I would want to 1) establish that I was going about as though it were a normal day and my child were in school and, 2)check to see if anyone has noticed anything strange about Kyron not being at school.
I’m of the opinion that TH took Kyron away that morning, but I’m not sure if it was premeditated (i.e., I’ll refer vaguely to a Friday appointment during the chaotic science fair and hope the teacher assumes it is this Friday and I can say it was the next) or if she really did take Kyron away for a perfectly innocent reason and after something happened, thought that the chaos of the science fair was a cover for pretending that she’d left him there and that there had been a misunderstanding. Whatever the case, I can see her wanting to contact the school after whatever happened happened to see if anyone had noticed something amiss. And as I said earlier, email would be a ‘safe’ way for a guilty person to ‘act normal’ in the immediate aftermath of a crime.

I hope I’m wrong for losing hope. People really need to take a test before they procreate. It’s much less of a right, and more of a privilege, than driving.
It makes me sick that people think it’s fitting for a child to pay for their guardians’ mistakes. If this was retribution, everyone loses, because looking from outside the investigation it doesn’t seem as though TH gives a damn. Even if he’s found alive, he will be so wounded and hurt by this, his already fragile state may never recover.
Haunted by demons – just goes to show, the boogey man in the closet or under the bed aren’t the ones to fear the most.

Blink…I perfectly understand if this is not published, either for it’s possible irrelevance or for the implications….But there was a Jesse Mittendorf from Roseburg High…class of 89…and I believe TH was class of 88….as it may or may not pertain to tractor discussion.

We know that the searchers and dive teams spent a lot of time looking in the quarry, the water and the land on Sauvies Island. That brings me back to BP whose houseboat is in the center of the Sauvie Island search and central to the phone pings. Could we have our third person?

I’m still trying to determine if there’s anything to suggest that, just maybe, TH wasn’t in on it. (ya know, that she draws the moral line somewhere). If the Horman marriage was nearing divorce anyhow, I can see Kaine’s death working out well for TH financially, assuming there was insurance $ going to Kiara & K, if no longer to TH. Given her situation it looks like her getting a job and splitting custody with Kaine post-divorce had to look pretty bleak to her.

I’m just trying to brace myself because I’ve been hoping against hope that one of these “TH kidnapped him to keep him safe” theories was right, even though I knew there was nothing to support the idea.

In Canada the kidney transplant list is 5 years long. DY would have needed to be on the list for 3 years
BEFORE Kyron was born. Therefore, she would have been on dialysis before, during her pregnancy, and for two years after delivery of Ky.

Someone even suggested that Kurtis might be the son of a new love interest because of his mentions in the photo section of the TH FB photos.
For about a week, I’ve felt a vibe from Kaine that I’ve hinted in my posts. I expressed it more clearly on this thread because I realized a couple of others had made the same connection – I realized I wasn’t alone in my mental leap. Right or wrong, I’ve formed a profile of him in my head; it’s only my opinion. It wasn’t to demonize him at all or to imply that he was involved in what happened to Kyron. His own marriage record does that. Kaine must suck as a husband or have seriously bad luck to have his first wife leave him while pregnant and his second wife want him dead. I’m more disgusted that he would have an affair at all than the gender of the person he may have had it with. But, Terri may have felt differently, which could go to motive in getting James out the house and doing something with Kyron.
It seems to me that in these cases, the LE look for affairs. Well, great, both the custodial parents are involved in affairs. So what else is there? The MFH plot has got to trump any other “lifestyle issues” these two had. However, with this case who knows what else is to come to light. I’m sure you have an inkling, Blink.

I am confused and drained. So, what I understand that we have so far, correct me if I am wrong, and also I am going off of a messed up hybrid of what Blink has said and the “general” concensus (ok, the tiny bit that I understand)…
1) TH has/had a landscape lover (and no, I don’t think her looks or weight would prohibt that, I think that her behavior could lure anyone in, nor do we know what mr. LS looks like! maybe he’s no looker himself.)
2) money is a big factor…one that could entice someone(s) beyond what they would normally do or be attracted to.
3) There COULD be/IS a third person involved. Say, LS likes money idea but not getting his own hands dirty, finds someone else more “removed” from the situation and willing to play along.
AND ultimately, TH takes Kyron from school, hands him over, perhaps THIS (3rd) person gets greedy once news breaks and plants note and glasses, Kyron suffers fate regardless either b/c it was already done or he didn’t get his demands met by TH/LS. TH and LS communicate about plan going south. LS tries to stay under radar but LE finds out about him via cell phone pings and computer. LE talks to LS tries to set up TH but she’s already tight lipped & denies everything, hoping no one will rat her out banking on the fact they all have to protect themselves too, obviously.
Is this about where we are with all this?

Did TH try to hire LS to off Kaine? That fell through, over the last 6 months TH/KH relationship becomes even more threatened and TH just finally breaks, takes matters into her own hands? The fact that James was sent away, well, I am not convinced that it is part of the reason that TH snapped, or if this was just part of her premeditated plan…I tend to think the latter. IF TH is having affairs, socliciting MFH’s, one would think your 16 year old son may be a kink in the master plan.
Did Kyron see something? This continues to haunt me as a plausible reason for her to “remove” him. I also continue to think that it is a possibilty that while TH was apparently plotting to kill KH, perhaps when this fell through (and maybe she was being harrassed/threatened and she felt like she could shake it all if they were suddenly in the throws of the worst thing that could happen to a parent, a missing child) she realized the only way to continue to have control was to save her marriage and a staged kiddnapping was a way to do this. Although, it’s obvious that Blink doesn’t think that Kyron is alive. And, also, obviously Blink keeps A LOT of info from us, so what’s put out there I tend to believe. And it’s really difficult to think about where he could be, who would still have him, there’s just not a senario, (and I’ve thought of a lot) where I see this happening, sadly.
Lastly, most of us firmly believe TH set the whole school thing up and took Kyron herself? I sure do, but am I projecting here? I just have to agree with FLgirl and Jackie on that one for sure. I just can’t see it any other way. BASTARDS all of them!

Okay, well, TERRI, you should send Blink a PRIVATE message, or go to LE (that’s law enforcement) and tell your story. No way you that you twist this in your own mind will it alter the truth. I say you should start on the path to find peace now, too, and lead the dectectives to Kyron. If you are worried about your image I guarantee people will think better of you for coming clean and sharing the truth. We just want Kyron home : (

This is part of my comment from another post, but I’m going to post it over here as well. I’m surprised by the comments that “explain” that Kaine must be an awful person and/or a terrible husband since TH wanted to have him killed. I don’t get that.
Maybe, TH is a true sociopath and Kaine didn’t do anything to “deserve” being murdered. Just a thought. The women who were murdered by their husbands–did they “deserve” it? NOPE. JMO but it sure seems like no one would be saying Lacie Peterson must have been a bad wife if her husband murdered her. So would that logic apply to Kaine based on the very little we know about him? And even if KH were a total jerk, as well as a cross-dresser who was having an affair with Madame Nicole, would he deserve murder? And what would make it okay for Terri to try to find someone to murder him? And if Kaine had tried to have her murdered, I’d be saying the same thing, not putting it off on Terri for being an awful wife. I also posted a link with a criminal profiler, and the profiler didn’t say “Gosh, that Kaine must’ve been a really bad husband.” The profiler said what a psychopath the wife must be.
Seriously, I don’t know Kaine, and there’s not been much info re: his personality, and what has been put out there has been interpreted differently. Some see control-freak, others don’t; my personal opinion is that it has as much to do with the projections & experiences of the person interpreting as anything else, since we have few hard facts about him really. And if he were that awful, would he have been on such decent terms with Desiree and would she be standing with him and hugging him now? Only Desiree can answer to Kaine’s husband performance during their years together, but you know, it’s possible she just didn’t want to try any harder or fake it and decided it was better to end it then. As I recall, they had planned to split before she got pregnant, but then decided to try again. That means mutual decisions. So I think it’s unfair to assume that he was just a bad husband and that is why Desiree left him and TH wanted him killed. If it is true that TH wanted him killed, it’s because she’s a sociopath/psychopath, not because he was a bad husband.
Okay now you’re really freaking me out. It’s going to be that effing bad?!? Blink please tell me you don’t have any inside information that indicates this is true. I just don’t even comprehend the world these people were in (supposedly). But I look at both TH & KH early on in the press conference photo and they both have that “what have I done” look, like they are both guilty of contributing to this mess somehow, IMO. I think landscaper is in this up to his eyeballs just like TH. And Kaine could be too, who knows?

I am almost certain these court cases belong to Kaine’s brother.
They are court cases in Washington state–looks like he has/had a lot of stuff going on

I have heard that allegedly TH took Kryon’s backpack and jacket to his classroom on the morning of June 4th, the day of they went to the science fair and he later disappeared. Is this just a rumor or is it true, and if it is true where did the information come from?
