Portland, OR- The tangled web that is the life of Terri Horman continues to weave.
In an Exclusive development to blinkoncrime.com, a Portland local, declining to be identified, provides the bombshell revelation that Terri Horman was behind the 5:16PM call to 911 last June 26th.
The object of her “threat based” call to 911 requiring officers response?
The Landscaper, in his white truck, on her property, demanding his payment for $10,000.
The same Portland source confirmed that an undercover detective, playing the role of an associate of the landscaper turned alleged assassin, was present. It was also confirmed a bulk of the incident was overheard on the police scanner. The Truck registration and plate were called in on an open channel as well.
What they did not count on, during the surreptitious meeting, was that Terri Horman would shut down the brief meeting and call Police; thwarting what they were hopeful would end in an arrest.
Kaine Horman had been advised to remove the couples 18 month old daughter in advance, for their safety, earlier in the day.
Upon deputies arrival, as informed by Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office about the sting, detectives were forced to tell Terri Horman she was a suspect. Horman hired Stephen Houze, prominent Portland defense attorney by Monday June 28th.
The identity of the landscaper has been withheld as this is an ongoing investigation, but blinkoncrime.com has learned that it is contained in the sealed portion of the restraining order obtained by Kaine Horman.

This is the very first time I’m hearing about this. So was it supposed to be after school? That’s a 2.5 hour drive? A six hour round trip with just one stop? WTHell? When was this supposed to happen? After ice cream? What about the baby? Is that why Kaine came home early?
Was Kyron lured out of the school with the promise of fishing with Tony? I am speechless.

I may be way off base, but I wonder if Kyron wasn’t payment to someone for a hit on Kaine. There are surely people involved we’ve heard nothing about.
I also wonder if TH was having an affair with the landscaper she met (through the school or elsewhere), before her plan transpired. It’s often the lover that offers, or is asked, to kill the spouse in a “normal” hit on a spouse. So maybe she was having a fling with this guy and then says, oh my husband is dreadful, I wish he we’re dead, and the plan is created from there. The relationship with the landscaper lover could have soured on it’s own accord and then he’s angry at her, out of her pants and her pockets. Could also explain why she contacted another landscaper, she may have actually had a need to have landscaping done at the property and not wanted this ex-lover back at the home. I’m not implying that the landscaper has something to do with Kyron’s dissapearance, just trying to think of the most logical (in my own mind) series of events in regard to the landscaper, the affair, the hit, etc. JMO
I wonder who CovertCCW might be and why this person has such an interest in evidence and charges in this case.

Very few people who continue to post on here (often), I believe at this point, are saying that KH was a mean and abusive husband, I think those of us on here that are discussing that are discounting that at this point. Where it has fit in is mostly with TH giving that as a reason to LS, in the MFH plot, which I read in an article somewhere. There’s speculation that that was the excuse she was using to justify her actions. Whether he was or not, it doesn’t justify a MFH or the kidnapping/murder of a child. It has been brought up in previous threads that people were feeling like KH was controling or they were getting a “bad vibe” from him. It’s a moot issue at this point, unless we find out differently. But just for the record, contolling behavior is the root of abuse, and also a parent can very much love their child, but if they are abusing the other parent, they are not a good parent. I speak as a former director of a domestic violence shelter and feel the need to clarify that. And abuse comes in many forms.
“Susan,” Yes, that’s EXACTLY what I thought when I heard of this MFH plot…what if she was going to try to off him and call it a suicide?
“Mackiezmom” My thoughts about the MFH plot still being part of the plan, I only see it as IF it were on the same day…(unless it was the whole suicide idea) anyway, maybe he got home a little earlier than expected…again, it’s just so hard to imagine what the hell she was planning. And I am not good at it all.
I am a little slow on the uptake, working a long time in social services it’s easier for me try to speculate on the events that “lead up to this,” but once we start trying to guess at what actually happened, well, I get completely lost. Who she was trying to get rid of first, when, why, how, OMG it’s impossible for my brain to think of how a person could even entertain these ideas, let alone go through with them, and then how stupid a person has to be to think they can get away with them.
So, all, correct me if I am wrong. But gleaming from what Blink says, and it’s all super cryptic to me : ) Blink, feel free to correct me yourself, too, but I think that Blink speculates/knows that TH was plotting against, KH, and LS or other hit-man, retaliated for reasons unknown and took Kyron. I know it’s not important but what I am missing here is, does anyone know, or does blink know/think that TH was behind Kyron’s disappearance? For example, what many of us are saying, “she took him, dropped him off…” or that this was a complete “surprise” to her? I am not asking for info that hasn’t been “reported” I am just asking if anyone has insight into this, that I may have missed…Because I really prefer basing my theories on facts, and what Blink has shared with us
One more thing, that I just kind of “connected,” that others probably did A LONG time ago, but TH was living with KH and Kyron and working (?) when she got her DUI. And it has been reported that around the time Kyron was 2 or so (a toddler) TH quit her job to “stay home with him;” well, maybe she was forced to b/c of DUI. This doesn’t mean much, other than MRS. Horman hasn’t been such a perfect mother to Kyron the whole time, which I know has been discussed. But, it further indicates to me that things have probably been less than perfect in that household for a long time. Also, it hints to me that this may have been a factor in her feeling like she “couldn’t” leave KH or HE couldn’t leave her. They say that the DUI was dropped from her record by going to classes, but not sure about that “child endangerment” charge. Seems like it’d be pretty hard to get a job as a teacher with a “child endangerment” charge on your record. So, this certainly gives me the logistical “why’s” of why she’d need KH’s insurance money. And I tend to think that things were bad and she thought, KH would leave her. She needed to protect herself and her daughter (whom on another side note, I think she feared KH would go for custody of if he did leave – which she would likely use to justify her actions).

Do we KNOW there was a May 9 9-1-1 call from the Horman house? Seems like reading back here I now see that “info” came from a forum where it was posted, possibly by TH or her friend.

beejay: I originally saw a post on another forum claiming that TH called 9-1-1 on May 9 after LS attacked her. There were at least two different posts about it. She suggested that LS had abducted Ky in retaliation for calling the police. Of course, who would know what happened except TH? I’m quite sure she was the one posting, and the one who posted here as slvrchrm.
Do you suppose that version could be true and TH is wanting badly to vindicate herself? Or, do you think she only trying to transfer public indignation onto someone else?

This making my head hurt, too. And on this same day or the next morning, James is coming back from a camping trip and going to spent the week with Terri and the rest? Why wouldn’t Kaine be the one driving Kyron, and Terri staying home with Kiara and to meet James?
I’m new but what does the initials LE stand for on these blogs of Kyron? I’ve been to several and have seen that and I don’t know what they stand for? Help!
The female that originally posted the 9-1-1 May 9th “story” and continues to “flame its fire” is schizotypal and having delusions of reference. Look it up and then all check all her posts.
A skeptic would wonder why bio dad said Kyron was going to Ca on an “extended” vacation and bio mom claiming he was going somewhere else.
Could be an honest mistake I guess. Seems an odd thing to be confused about.

The “substitute” (may have been a teacher’s assistant or a volunteer) was with a group of students all day.
In regard to TH or KH taking Kyron to Eugene on that Friday after school — Eugene is only a 2 hour drive from Portland. It is definitely shorter than driving him to Medford. They could probably get ice cream on the way to Eugene.
I am curious why every time I mention anything about DY going to Canada for kidney failure I get my questions removed and get timed out on other sites.
I have only known one person to have kidney failure- my ex. He was a hardcore alcoholic and drug user, and was used to taking handfuls of Tylenol a day for hangovers (the label says they cause kidney damage). I’m sure there are other reasons someone might have kidney failure, I just don’t have personal experience with that. My ex had to have his kidney removed, and he never tells anyone it was for drug/alcohol problems… he says he had ‘cancer’ on his kidney.

@minima- Suicide following the loss of a child is a real risk for bereaved parents and siblings, so you may be correct. It would be plausible, explainable, if they staged it correctly.
As for the allegations and insinuations of abuse (of TH, by KH), abuse is verrrrry seldom a secret. If that had been occurring, there is a very great chance that her friends and fam would have mentioned in, already. Ever been a police call by her? Ever a well check conducted, after concerned relatives called the police? I see no indications of abuse. I do not think it’s reasonable to take “control issues” out of context, and infer them as an indicator of abusive tendencies. Here is a man whose entire life has been blown up by an emotional nuclear bomb…I think it’s reasonable to expect that one would exert control in areas where it is possible, and one just *might* be a little on edge.
Something that I don’t get…what makes anyone think that TH sent Kyron of to some “safe place,” because she was “protecting him,” when there is NO indication that she wanted to protect him, and every indication that she did something sinister. I just don’t get it. Mebbe I’m a little dense, I dunno.

Three different things:
1. My heart just breaks for Desiree. Hearing her, omg. So, so sorry for her.
2. JMO but I thought that she addressed Kaine’s absence so that no “bad” rumors would start about him since when TH was missing, it was not addressed and it was for negative reasons.

TH was supposed to drive Kyron to Eugene for a planned weekend? What about Kaine’s special treat, errr, ice cream stop, or Wii? Doesn’t Kaine do the hand-offs, or at the very least, participate? He came home early, why? AND, if Terri knew there would be a hand-off that day… why pick that day? To make it less obvious–I do not think so.. it would complicate matters and raise concerns… Odd that this is now coming out– a month after the fact. (Then we have Kaine’s initial *we* went to the bus stop, to a now, I got kitty’s shoes on & her and I walked to the stop with Terri following…)[Hmmmm, just how long does it take to put shoes on and walk a 19 month old to a bus stop?]
I live in a blended situation and make no mistake, from the get-go I would have said that we were going to squeeze in an ice cream/ special treat before we had to get Kyron off to his mom’s for the weekend– a long delayed special weekend. Even if I didn’t say it.. The bio-mom would have…
Instead, Desiree and Kaine talked about FUTURE special trips… not the immediate.
ADD to the mix that TH’s Bio was away for a planned camping weekend and due “home” for a planned week stay, and know we learn that Kyron supposedly was scheduled to be gone for a planned weekend… Opportunity doesn’t add up IMO.
Then we have LE interviewing TH and LS simultaneously on 6/26; potentially set-up to see each other in order to invoke panic; TH was questioned and denied knowing anything about MFP with LS, only to come home from an exhaustive day… and LE & LS go undercover to try and trap TH into a MFH plot??? If TH KNEW that LE KNEW about LS and the MFP, why would she engage herself in conversation?? Even if LE had to do what they did in desperation to find Kyron… it was doomed to fail from the get-go. This is too weirdo to have ever worked.
TH has a lot of unexplained and suspicious behavior… so does Kaine, IMO. What if: Kaine (his girlfriend) orchestrated the MFP and set Terri up? Crazy thought? Maybe. Any crazier than the rest of this story? I do not think so.
I am new here, but have read about everything published on here about this case. I agree it is a huge mess, but after listening to the Young’s press conference to day and noticing that Kaine wasn’t there even by satellite or whatever. This is starting to seem more and more like a custody dispute. Their wording makes me wonder could this be the case. There is just too much that LE has to know about this case that they are not releasing. People are complaining, but if you just wait and see I am sure everyone will be thoroughly surprised to find out the details when this case breaks. As I read on here somewhere before. This is a chess match and the new player was when TH brought the lawyer in to the picture. I am sure he already knows the whole story and that’s why there hasn’t been any comments from that side. If it turns out that Kyron is being hidden somewhere (most likely) and the lawyer knows and doesn’t tell, I think he should be arrested for endangering a minor. Kyron will be found and I am about 95% sure he is still alive. I will maintain that position until proven otherwise. Only then will I admit defeat. Great site!

BlinkOnCrime.com just made local news in Portland, Katu channel 2′s lead story was this case. They showed this website and basically stated that they had confirmed the information through their own sources… Congrats and Good Job on the reporting!!

Abuse comes in many forms not only physical it also comes as mental abuse which is part of the ‘controlling’ issue.. Not saying that KH used that but those that have been mentally abused would understand how controlled they are in those situations.. Hey everyone. Again I make my stance. Kaine is not completely clean nor innocent in this situation. Don’t know how the Dots will connect, but I’m guessin computer forensics, cell phone logs, lifestyle activities and family/friends/associates of Terri and Kaine have been interviewed and the picture is coming into focus for LE and the Youngs.
I never felt comfortable nor did I believe for one moment all of Kaines “story” of that mornings events throughout the afternoon. Too much overly compensating loving attention and “Praise” for Kyron coming from Kaine. I saw him, “Praised” him for his science project, telling him how very “Proud” I was of him. When Kaine knows darn well Kyron didnt do that neat project. That was a lie told right up front in the beginning of this case. Then all the hugs, the praises. Then many days later the “We’re going to get some ice cream after school celebrating your science fair project”. Celebrate what I ask? The project Kyron may have done what to prepare? Too much information.
We have two red tree frog science projects presented at the Fair. One looks created by a second grader naturally on their level. Another one looks like an architectural design. I dont know if Terri and Kaine did it together. Surely Kyron watched some of it. What exactly did Kyron do on the projects creation? I bring this up because of the obvious lies from the very beginning indicating to me the great dis-connect and dis-honesty on behalf of T and K.
Hope I’ve not offended anyone. I’m just not buying what comes out of T or K’s mouths. Sorry.
A couple of notes:
1. It seems odd to me that in the family press conference of 7/2, Kaine would discuss the state of Kyron’s room at home, saying ‘they had not made any changes, and they all played in there making happy noises, etc’, when he had moved out on 6/28.

2. the purported photo of Kaine in drag, which was posted on another website, could have been photoshopped by Terri, and that could be the evidence she used to LS that Kaine was a bad husband.
3. VERY ODD that ONLY NOW we are hearing about the plan for Kyron and SM to visit bio- Mom on 6/4. Something is fishy here.
4. The issue as to why TH is still ‘on the loose’, possibly she interviewed many LS’ers in her MFH plot, and talked about big sums of money, perhaps one of the rejected LS hit men got mad he did not get the job, figured she had the money, and sought ransom.
Who knows what other hit men she solicited, but it would be an unsavory group, and someone of that ilk could have taken Kyron for the money.
Perhaps LE is waiting for the kidnapper to approach Terri. (again?)

i definitely have two theories based on whether I want to be hopeful or depressed, in both scenario’s though I see her being arrested.
She should do whats right for Kiara, thats her brother, she should tell anyone what she knows

This doesn’t sit right. Dropped off? That seems like a strange way to describe what TH and Kyron supposedly did that morning. Also hinky: the phrase repeated ad nauseum: “Terri was the last KNOWN person to have seen Kyron” (or something to that effect).
Do we know that TERRI was the one who took Kyron to school that day? Whose accounts confirm that she was actually there? (The Facebook pics of Kyron in front of his exhibit don’t confirm anything for me.)
@lizzy: here is another video with a different view. she is not wearing long sleeves but a sweater type dress. Still in all, a turtleneck in the summer? The dress is all white.

I thought I would chime in on the Kaine suspicions. I will admit I am on the fence on this. But, being naturally suspicious, some things do bother me, and I am a watch and see person. As Kool Look pointed out:

I agree with assessment, especially since it has changed over time.
I felt that it was a little overdone, differing at each presser and overly mushy, personally. Particularly in light of the fact that it really wasn’t something he accomplished on his own.
I was also thinking this plan Desiree laid out would definetely NOT have Kyron and James together at any point. Was that intended? You would think a few days of overlap for two brothers might be included naturally.
Lastly, I do believe DY intentionally spoke about Kaine’s absence, she came across sincere. But, that may be based on what info she has. And what is the police working on with KH individually about?
This morning I couldn’t find my eleven year old girls this morning for just a matter of minutes and was consumed with panic. I saw that their electric scooters weren’t connected to the chargers on the sidewalk and jumped in the car to look for them. I didn’t see them on the first pass because they had gone down a cul-de-sac on a side street. I was seconds from calling my husband and police when I saw a glimpse of them. I thanked God they were there then scolded them for taking off without letting myself or a sibling know. In those five minutes I felt a crushing, breathless pain and panic that I never want to know. My heart goes out to Desiree, Kaine and Tony. God bless you and give you strength. My hope is that Terri Horman will stop this and bring peace to so many who are hurting.

If Kyron was leaving to go to either A) on a fishing trip with Desiree and Tony, or B) back home with Teri, Dad and Kiara for ice cream and Wii, why no mention till now? When was last day of school? Why was she fixed on that future Dr. appt. if he was going to be gone on a trip? How long was the fishing trip going to be? And the trip to California, just Dad and Kyron? No Teri and baby? Why would she make him disappear if he was leaving anyway? The time line for Dad being home, saying he was going to take him for ice cream, and play games isn’t working anymore-was he alibying his wife at first?
For goodness sake, did anyone know where Kyron was supposed to be and with who? Like, ever? No wonder it was so easy to make him disappear! There seems to be no chain of custody, poor little boy. Something is just rotten to the core here.
