Portland, OR– The developments in missing Portland child Kyron Horman are enough to give a person whiplash this week; It is only Wednesday.
I absolutely believe that Terri Horman is responsible for Kyron’s disappearance-
Tony Young, stepfather to Kyron Horman.
During their interview this morning on the Today Show, Desiree and Tony Young did not mince words.
The sexual overtones to Mr.Cook, resemble the former exhanges between the individual Terri attempted to hire to murder her husband.– verbiage contempt motion
Are investigators any closer to finding Kyron Horman?
Sources inside the investigation have confirmed to blinkoncrime.com that both the FBI and Multnomah County Sherriff’s Office have been back on the scene in areas near the Skyline School, where Kyron wet missing on June 4th., and on Sauvie Island, the focus of intense search efforts including several dive teams today.
Of particular interest, is source confirmation that the landscaper Terri Horman hired last fall, who worked on the Horman property, had met Kyron at the residence as well as the Skyline School, where his firm had been contracted to do some work.
Rudy Sanchez, of RS Landscape Maintenance since 2008 has told MCSO that Terri Horman attempted to hire him in a murder for hire plot against her husband Kaine. Sanchez then agreed to participate in a surreptitious sting that included a body wire and a 911 call where patrolman had to be told by detectives this was an “on the job” non-threat. As fairly isolated areas go, this one has had a fair share of 911 calls.
No charges were filed by Ms. Horman against Mr. Sanchez.
A search for Multnomah County arrests under the last name Sanchez, show a United States Marshall arrest and hold of a Anselmo Sanchez since July 8th. It is unknown if this individual is held in the disappearance of Kyron Horman.
Blinkoncrime.com was unable to confirm through the Multnomah County Jail the nature of the “hold” for Sanchez, and all persons are presumed innocent.

While I”m at it, a few things that continue to bother me in this case, in no particular order:
1. Allegations of a history of sexual abuse in Kristian and Kaine Horman’s family. To be fair, Kristian Horman made the claims against his (and Kaine’s) grandfather as he was prosecuted for molesting his girlfriend’s teenage daughter. Has the legitimacy of these claims ever been verified or confirmed by anyone else in the Horman family? This kind of legacy affects everyone involved in one way or another. Is this why KH seems so controlling and protective of his kids? (See #2 below…)
(NOTE: I am *not* at all suggesting that KH is involved in Kyron’s disappearance or sexual abuse. Just that people tend to repeat relationship patterns in their choice of friends, spouse, etc.)
2. Desiree Young’s RO against Kaine for fear that he would take both of her sons — one of which wasn’t even his! What’s the deal with that? Why wouldn’t he let Kyron go back to Desiree’s when she returned from Canada?
3. Michael Cook. Everything about this self-proclaimed “straight shooter” gives me the creeps, esp. the fact that he inserted himself front and center into this family’s life at such a vulnerable time. Also the fact that he lives near them. And of course all of the info revealed by MC’s ex-wife. (Thx, lillor, for posting!)
This has become so convoluted, that you are listing statements as if what’s being said is normal occurrence: I.E.!, this astounds me, you list the LS as knowing Kyron at the school (and at home? really? even though Kaine knew nothing of LS? his son did?) I digress. Back to the LS at the school – if my child knew a landscaper at her school, I would bring down the fort with legal action against the school, etc., as NO LS is EVER allowed contact with students at school! so, do tell, as this tale you weave, pulling facts from silly speculation, how on earth you are claiming that LS and Kyron ‘knew’ each other at Skyline? Did they have lunch together? Did Kyron trip on out around the school’s property seeking out some chat time with the LS? sheesh. As a Portland mom, I ask that you clarify your comments, such as outlandish ones as the LS/Kyron connect AT SCHOOL!!!, leave the ‘I’m giving you valued info snibbet at a time, aren’t you grateful??’ behind, remember, this is our community, and we have someone awful yet accountable walking amongst us, who is responsible for Kyron’s disappearance. This isn’t solve-the-mystery game. As parents, we are horrified that someone allowed us to believe a predator had access to our schools. As parents, we struggle with the knowledge that no one has been made responsible yet. So let’s come back from the surreal weird place, please. For Kyron’s sake. And do clarify, for the love of Pete, how on earth your ‘sources’ can validate that Kyron and LS knew each other at the elementary school.

yes, Terri has accepted the situation for NOW because otherwise she’d have to appear in court and answer questions. I’m sure if her butt doesn’t end up in jail, she’ll go for custody, child support and probably the house too.

Okay, so while wasting time on the whole online ID thing, which is probably not relevant, I came across the following on http://www.terrihorman.com/:

Of course, this is all that’s been shared with the public but this shows no apparent pattern and seems to raise more questions than answers.
Former Multnomah County prosecutor Jim McIntyre offers some perspective on this and why he believes we haven’t seen any charges filed yet:
“You have to be able to identify specifically what crime you’re going to charge. You can’t simply say, ‘you’re under arrest because everyone thinks you did something.’ I mean, you have to have evidence, more likely than not, that you committed a specific crime.”.

The store videos:
It’s been confirmed that where TH said she was, and where she actually was conflict based on cell phone pings *and* bank transaction trail (future criminals, please take this advice: Cash, baby, Cash!) SO if LE wants to see if TH was at either of the two stores from which videos were requested, they may already know that TH was there based on a bank trail.
If she says that she was there and that she paid cash, LE may just be reviewing tapes to see if her story is true.
But if she was already using her bank cards, maybe cash transactions aren’t the issue, and LE wants to see the videos for other reasons–like to see who, if anyone, was with TH. To see if Kiara was with TH? To see if anyone with TH bought anything?
To check her clothing (like hipwaders would be a big fashion faux pas for her that day) and demeanor? Why did they need video tapes from those 2 stores specifically? For those who don’t know, some Fred Meyer stores have outdoor departments and hardware supplies.
The selection of these two stores bothered me for a number of reasons, and ormer Multnomah County prosecutor Jim McIntyre statement re: the lack of apparent pattern & no other comments re: the stores “You have to be able to identify specifically what crime you’re going to charge.” seems to me to mean that LE is looking for something *other* than just THs physical presence in said store. Perhaps who she was with, but if the ‘specific criminal charge’ is in question, LE might also be looking for specific items such as (stop here if you can’t go *there*) shovels, fishing weights/anchors, storage containers, saws, etc. as these are types of things that can be purchased at FM that might be indicative of foul play/type of criminal charge. On a much happier note, TH might’ve been buying a tent and tons of food so that there’d be adequate supplies on hand. But I’m guessing that LE would already know if that were the case.
Anyway, I think this is something to ponder re: Fred Meyer, at least. Can’t think of what shopping at Albertson’s would contribute to info re: type of crime (well, I can think of one thing, but you can get that at FM, too). So other thoughts??
Odd note: I had a dream last night that I was talking to Kaine about “pick up/drop off”. I’ve got to get a grip. I have to watch the link again, but the words “rough background” don’t bother me because I say things like that. Still, I’m going to watch with hindsight and open mind.

People are speculating that one of the poster’s on Oregonlive who’s name is HopeinVA is actually Terri Houlton. IMO, I think it is her. Below is a comment she posted today. If it is her, it says alot about her feelings for her hubby.

NOTE: Interesting, too, a few posts back Andy explained that there *can be* a connection between adoption and sociopathic behavior as a result of attachment disorder. A friend of mine is an adoption issues expert, and she confirms this is true. Also, oddly, the sociopath I know was also adopted several months after birth. And before anyone gets emotional about this, please know that I am *NOT* saying all or even most or even many people who were adopted are sociopaths. I am saying that this is one possible situation that can result from a lack of bonding in early childhood/infancy. In regard to the US Marshalls Hold just wanted to say that here in Texas, when an “Illegal” is in custoday it is listed as an “ICE” Hold. (Immigration & Customs) a US Marshall Hold is usually something much more serious, for example: My nephew, a convicted felon on drug charges out on Parole was arrested & charged with possessing Firearms & Pipe Bombs…he had a US Marshalls Hold. I do know that he got 40 years for each charge, he is currently serving a sentence of 70 years in a Federal Prison. I may be wrong but I do not think the Us Marshall’s have anything to do with Immigration issues, at least not here in Texas.
He is definitely not a US citizen, I can tell you that.

LPB- It is actually 11:50 A.M. here in Portland. It appears there is a 3 hour time difference between Blink and the west coast. The hearing is scheduled this afternoon, Friday, at 3 P.M.
I would think one of the biggest issues is for her to find a “safe place” for here to live. Which isn’t Kaine’s problem.
Yesterday, her lawyer made the statement that the media frenzy has basically turned this into a “witch hunt”. I can’t believe he would be so unprofessional. It makes me think she is a witch. I don’t think of it as such. This is a darling little boy were are looking for and SHE is the last person to knowingly see him.
His last famous client here was Dr. Death. Who is responsible for many, many surgeries where his patients later died. Dr. Death is, I believe, now in Australia with the courts where he practiced after leaving Oregon. So I believe I can say the Mr. Houtz certainly does represent the criminal element.
US Marshalls are involved in federal offenses. ie: selling heroin is a federal offense.

Just to clarify, HopeinVA is not TH and never has been. This person was repeating what I had posted on the Oregonian live and no one took it seriously, which is typical for people who would rather blame someone than wait until all of the facts are in. The problem with this case is there are so many different personalities, there is a broken marriage that is being tried in the public, a beautiful missing child who deserves to be found and perhaps other people wanting their fame by abusing their friendship. Also there are a lot of scenarios that have to be checked into. I think we should open our minds to what is really going on with this case and put away our tunnel vision. The professionals in law enforcement have to always keep an open mind. The twists and turns in a case can make a very seasoned professional doubt even the most obvious clue. So they take their time, incorporate everything they have gathered, and double check the facts again and again. Usually a clearer picture will present itself. I just hope the people in charge can open their minds and understand, this case is actually a little different than what their statistics show. Look outside the box also.
Coleen, why are you so angry at Blink? If you are sure no child would ever have contact with a LS at school, then why would you even worry at the thought?
But I think you are reading between the lines. Nowhere did I read that Kyron and the LS had contact IN the school or DURING school hours. There are other possibilities on the school grounds, especially if both Terri and LS were there at times.
Again, if you are sure that is only silly speculation, then I just don’t understand why you even care. If I post on a website that the sky was green with purple polka dots yesterday, and it was going to rain cannonballs today, would you get angry with me? Or just roll your eyes and go away?

Coleen – I also am from Portland and have read several places that the LS had been hired to work at the school and that is where TH met him. I would expect Kyron was somewhere around and would recognize him from working at the home and the school. Hence, Kyron would KNOW the landscaper. You are in such a huff that in your mind kids at the school may hang out with landscapers, or custodians, or cooks. Who knows? I see this was posted yesterday so hopefully you have calmed down. Throwing out the idea of a lawsuit is pretty over reactive.
A couple of more things re: the stores. TH may have left her bank trail by getting cash from ATMs and paying at stores in cash, so then LE might want to see what she was carrying to the register in order to match a cash receipt copy that the store would have on file with the person doing the purchasing. A number of people may have purchased a specific item that day and paid in cash, so then LE would have all the cash receipts, but if they had TH on film at the same time a cash purchase of the item in question was being purchased… anyway, I can think of several variations on that theme, but they all come down to LE needs some visual proof to match TH and/or TH cohorts to receipts on hand, evidence of physical presence and type of crime.
Also, I kept asking myself why TH & compadres would wait till the June 4 to do any shopping, and the answer I came up with was: what they had to purchase may have raised serious questions if anyone else had seen the stuff lying around.
Does anyone know if that FM sells hunting stuff, like for weapons? (Sorry, have to ask)

I agree with your “witch hunt” statement. Surprised. Maybe he is fighting fire with fire? Still, does that help the situation? Not in my mind. She needs to get off the Hormon’s couch and do something for herself, innnocent or not. There is no hiding anymore. Too many details have emerged. Where are her parents? I thought they were with her and I remember reading somewhere (I believe from DY’s statement. I’ll try to get that link) that her parents have strong roots in that area/state. IMHO, Freemasons as well as KH’s family member’s membership? She can’t pack up and live with them? Or would that mean she is then on the “defensive” and it can hurt her defense strategy? Bless her soul, but she needs to do what is best for her daughter, who is BEAUTIFUL by the way. Looks just like her mama.

@Fairwitness & Esther Townsend: Actually, Re: LSL, it’s not just his word against hers. Courts actually require something more than that before issuing the RO that was issued. –Since LE knows that the sexual lures used for MC were also used for LSL, this means that LE has LSL texts and photos to go with.
That means they know who the LSL is, so it’s the person in the sting, not another person.
That means they have TH in writing before Kyron’s disappearance, and if she trusted LSL, she may have alluded to something between sex photos. Just because LE is acting behind the scenes does *not* mean that there’s no evidence; it just means there’s evidence to which we’re not privy yet.
Re: HopeinVA – Doesn’t TH’s friend Shannon live in Virginia? I thought I’d read somewhere that “Shannon in VA” was “most likely” to reply to emails on some online quiz TH had taken.

I am 100% certain that LE and FBI have every screen name that TH has ever used and monitors all of them very closely. In fact, I’m quite sure that TH can’t so much as check the weather online without them knowing about it. Other than satisfying our curiosity, how is our knowing who is and who isn’t posting as TH going to help find Kyron? I don’t mean to sound snarky, but this has gone around and around and around. How will it help?

I do not think I ever implied that “HopeInVA” is the same as the one in the “HopeInVirginia” blog. Quite the opposite, in case you were confused by what I said. I never personally speculated that Terri was “HopeInVa” but it did raise questions for me the more I kept reading about it here on this site. I was not certain that it had ever been confirmed. Because I am curious and because it has been quite the topic here and other sites, I did a little search and reported what I found.
Based on some facts that I have read in this overall situation that I consider creepy, I also saw some creepiness in what I found. I won’t spell out in detail what came to me, however.

I just want to say that I do not think that the ‘hopeinvirginia’ blog is the same person as HOPEinVA. It’s unfortunate that they have such a close name and I hope that the true TMH haters don’t go after this woman thinking she’s the moron on oregonlive!
I do however think that the ‘hopeinva’ from plentyoffish.com IS the same person.
I do not think it is TMH but whomever it is, has serious issues which are not going to lead us to Kyron and may just send us crazy instead.

I just wanted to say thanks for writing that comment. You wrote something I wished I could have said many times.
I am a long time poster here at BOC and an even longer reader/lurker.
I have lent my thoughts and feelings to many of Blink’s covered cases. Always trying to help just like you and everyone on Kyron’s case.- I was extremely shocked to read/find out that there are many people out there, in the world wide web that get off on writing disparaging comments about our motivations and LOL, even our sanity.
At first, it bothered me immensely, how could someone turn anyone’s good intentions and contributions for good into something ugly and questionable?
Well, the truth is, they just can, and we can’t let that bother us or stop us from trying to help. We are all cyber neighbor’s now, and I would help my neighbor’s if I could- regardless of what some misinformed, person happens to think.
So in closing, I say thank you, and please don’t get discouraged, there are many times I thought of no longer posting- I am glad I didn’t. I like to think that mine, and all of our contributions have helped LE in some small way. Despite what the naysayers opinions are-

Over at “The Hinky Meter” folks have accurately posted that, in spite of LE requests, KATU refuses to turn over their videotapes of interest from the day that Kyron disappeared–seems they will only consider turning over tapes if they receive a subpoena.
