The authorities are checking out the area that Major Ed Dames mentioned. It was mentioned on KPTV news. So no need to put on your walking shoes and leash up the dogs. LE is handling it.

I watched our local new tonite. Before they showed the video of Kaine Horman at the wall of hope, the news was reporting LE is now focusing on the Drs. appointment Terri told the teacher about on June 4th. Why can’t they verifiy with the Dr. if and/or which date an appointment was made?? That should have been done long ago and they throw that bit of info out tonight. I don’t understand!!

I’m very curious as to why LE has stated this could go on till October; that sounds very specific; like a deadline. Is it because of some kind of forensic tests they are waiting on the results of? Or what could be the reason? I’d tend to believe this could go on for weeks, or indefinitely, but October sounds kinda odd.

That would be the end of the Quarter. Then they said they might have to go back again for more money if the case requires to go forward from that point in time.

Possible confirmation that TH told Kyron’s teacher he had a Dr’s appointment that day.

    Video link:
    http://www.katu.com/home/video/98977869.html

    Taken from Video:
Kyron’s teacher marked him absent because she knew he had a doctor’s appointment on the Friday Kyron disappeared.

A friend of Kyron’s who eats lunch with Kyron every day told his mom that he knew Kyron had a doctor’s appointment, and that he saw Kyron leave with Terri.

I’ve long thought that Terri may have been alerting someone specific about where she would be when she posted “hitting the gym”. I’ve also thought that her husband, like so many of us, saw her strange behavior and realized from the first that there was something wrong with her story. If I were him, I’d have watched her every move as well, she wouldn’t have left the room without me, let alone the house!

  6. Jackie Bauer :) says:

Here’s what I don’t understand–if TH is innocent, why did she fail the polygraphs twice and walk out another time? Why isn’t her attorney out there on the press junket to end all junkets declaring her innocence? if she’s innocent, why can’t she account for her time that day? Why has she not cooperated with investigators? Why would she not say “I AM INNOCENT” and defend herself and do all she could do to help find Kyron? Why would she behave the way a guilty person with something to hide would behave?

There are so many areas that have to be explained away in order to get TH to not culpable. The doctor’s appointment, the truck, Kiara who knows where, the email about the project, the lies she’s told, the time she was last seen? Independently, each one of those issues can have a plausible explanation, but in order to get TH to remotely innocent, you need explanation after explanation after explanation, and that just raises too many red flags to me. Even if I disregard the MFH and sexting and photos, she still has lots of ‘splaining to do and she is not doing that. She’s not helping herself, she’s certainly not helping Kyron. I just do not understand that.

Yes, I know, I’ve read the theories– her possible fear of KH, or of LSL, or some gang that’s after her–but really, Kyron is out there, so if she really cared about him, wouldn’t she risk all to help? Wouldn’t she trust LE & the FBI and confide in them? Wouldn’t she put Kyron first? Would she really be sexting and worrying about her hair foils being too orange?

And for those who think that LE & the FBI are just putting the focus on TH to fool someone, would they really ruin a woman’s life this way if there weren’t some evidence? Short of donning a wonder woman outfit and saving Kyron from the bowels of hell singlehandedly, there’s little TH can ever do to be innocent in the eyes of much of the public, so really, would LE & the FBI allow all of this to focus on her if she weren’t seriously involved?

I am looking forward to the pc and questions from LE coming soon. Hopefully there’s something of substance about to break. I have to say though to those who think KH was grilled for 3 hours and this is a turn in the tide towards him, it’s hard to imagine that if that were the case, he’d have then gone to the wall where press would follow. JMO but I think he’d do what TH is doing and hide away if there were any suspicions re: him. He also passed his LDT “with flying colors” as DY said, and could account for his time to LEs satisfaction. Certainly something may have changed re: KH, but I just don’t see that in his behavior. JMO, JMO.

@ Hets: Regarding burning a body…yes, I’ve heard of instances in which a murderer burned the body of his/her victim(s). In those cases, enough of the bodies remained that they were discovered, and later identified. And the perps were linked to the crimes and arrested, tried and convicted.

  11. Cathy Bickel says:

@beejay, Sometime ago I threw out there that I think TH had something to do with this by her life style, I, like you, am not thinking she killed this boy. I think Kyron has paid a price for something that TH did or said. I look at his pictures and his eyes are so full of life, children that are abused look dead in their eyes. I have no link to prove this, just over 20 years working at a Children’s hospital where I saw abused and murdered children on a daily basis. If I remember right when asked if TH harmed Kyron while taking the polygraph she answered no and passed, what the questions were that she failed I have no idea.
It was obvious she was having affairs with other men and if the questioning turned to that then she may have failed. You have to remember they had Sanchez locked up very quick after Kyron disappeared so LE knew alot of questions TH didn’t expect to be asked about.
Do I think she’s innocent? No. Do I think she killed Kyron? No Do I think she is some how the reason he’s missing? Yes.

    ######################################################################

I remember reading that, too, FLGirl.

Also, since working out at the gym has long been a routine for KH & TH, they would have a social network there. During a crisis, people need routine to keep some sense of normalcy in there lives, plus social support and a physical release for their tension.

Nothing suspect in going to the gym wihtin days after Kyron went missing, especially if KH & TH used that opportunity to get the word out about Kyron. IMO

There was a facebook quiz that Terri answered (it was posted prior to Kyrons disappearance)that was posted here at one point. Does anyone have a copy of that quiz? Does anyone know who tagged Terri in the quiz to have her answer the questions?

#17: I have been following this story since day 1. Not everything the media reports that Terri says is going to be true. Are you truly believing she is telling the truth? From a woman who, at the least, hooks up with Michael Cook – the man who was instrumental in putting together the first candle light vigil for Kyron – on June 30th and sends erotic pics of herself? Are you basing your speculation on what the media is reporting? As Tony Young said “Connect the dots” and as Desiree Young has said, “I’ve known Terri for 7 1/2 years and she’s lied during that time.” Go back through this thread. Look at all my postings. And yes, I know some other stuff too that I can’t say.

Till something breaks, looks like we all need something to occupy our minds re: Kyron, so I’m going to start a list, inspired by Midwestmom’s question to Snap o.o.i. re: THs lies (“I can’t help but notice that you keep repeating that Terrie lies. What has she lied about?).

Since I’d just cited “the lies she’s told” (she=TH), I thought about the ones I was thinking of, but if anyone has any others, please add to my list:

–put online that she’s got a master’s degree (she doesn’t) (that was in writing, online)

–lied about how she & Kaine met (both Kaine & DY verified that one)

–lied about being friends with Desiree (from DYs account)

–was obviously living a lie if the MFH has any substance to it (if LE & FBI & courts were convinced of –the veracity of the claim based on their evidence, I am, too)

–I call having affairs living a lie, and if you live a lie you are, therefore, a liar

–lied or was evasive during polygraphs (lies of omissions are still lies, and if someone tells lies, they’re a liar)

DY says TH has lied about little & big stuff for 7.5 years (and I believe DY)
What else? I know there’s more.

Re #4: Well, that is interesting. I had heard several weeks ago that TH had given confusing/vague doctor’s appointment information to the teacher. Now, it sounds as if it is true. I suspect LE has many more inconsistencies and other evidence, but not quite enough to make a case at this time. But, I also sense LE is still working very intensely behind the scenes. I am hoping they will find that critical lead very, very soon and bring Kyron home.

Jackie: Regarding the “failed” or “inconclusive” polygraphs, I have actually seen innocent people “fail” for various reasons, so I do not put much weight on the polygraphs alone. Like many of you, it the other behaviors/inconsistencies/possible MFH, in addition to the polygraphs, that lead me to think she may be involved.

Thanks, Blink, for all you do!

“A spokesman for Portland Public Schools told the news station that every school employee must pass a criminal background check that includes being fingerprinted before they’re permitted to work with children.” (http://www.aolnews.com/nation/article/f/19507837)

I have been rereading some of the earliest news stories and comments to see if anything stands out now, but didn’t then. I came across this statement above. I worked for PPS for over 15 years, retired, and then did temporary and some volunteer work. The key phrase is “permitted to work with children”. Unless it has changed VERY recently, a background check would be considered unnecessary if you do not work directly with students in a supervisory capacity (which includes tutoring, reading, etc.), particularly if you are not permanent staff. When I retired, the district “filed me” somewhere and I had to totally reapply to take a temporary job requested by the principal at the very same school. As long as I ran the switchboard and did filing of records, I was not required to have a background check. Later, when I assisted in the counseling department and met with individual students, I had to pay $50 for a background check and wait to start until I was cleared.

This may not be an issue in this case, but I didn’t want anyone to assume everybody working or volunteering at a school has automatically had a background check. The same was true for volunteers in my experience – sorting books in the library after school hours vs tutoring students on computer math games, for example.

I do not know whether this was a written policy or administrative discretion – my guess is that it is not written as such now, if it ever was. But I do know it’s the way things have worked at PPS.

  33. Cathy Bickel says:

@Jackie I will look for it, and maybe Blink could help out here. I know it wasn’t on FB because I don’t go to the support TH thing there. I want to state that just because I “read” it doesn’t mean it’s true, it may have been stated by someone else thinking outside the obvious…ie: what “if” TH was asked did you harm Kyron, she answered “no”, then followed up by a question about MFH later and either failed or walked out.
Like all of your I’ve read so much that it gets confusing and I sure don’t want to be the one to start another rumor, so yep I’ll be lookin’ for what I read and let you know.

  37. ElizabethinOR says:

Regarding PPS background checks: I am on the PTA board for our school (PPS). Everyone who comes to the school to do anything while children are present must be background checked. The PTA pays $75 for each one. Last year we had a piece of equipment installed outside at the school and although the workers never entered the school or had any contact with the children, background checks were done for each person. I can only speak for our our school and our principal’s commitment to following policy however.

Sorry if I offended anyone with my suggestion of adding a FAQ section. I thought that may make it easier for Blink. I have been reading here for a long time and I have kept up with the info that has been posted on here just fine, but I know for someone just finding this blog things can be confusing.

This was my first post and it seems like everyone immediately jumps down my throat for me trying to be helpful to new readers. It was just a suggestion.

  43. LPB says:

To comment on the background checks:

Very typical to run background checks on everyone who is affiliated with the school, no matter the position. At the school (*ISD) I teach at, I know for a fact everyone is screened/background checked. They don’t ask for a drug test though. Thought that was strange?

  44. LPB says:

@Macy: and a good idea too. I don’t think they meant to jump down your throat, everyone is very protective here :) But, I thought you had a good idea..just sayin.

Also, I will say we are regurgitating alot of info already discussed in the comments, ie. glasses, dr. appts. Somethings we just don’t know for certain and won’t know for certain until LE makes it known.

Its hard to keep moving forward in conversation when we are constantly rewinding, but maybe that will help us too? IDK. I just want this little boy to come home.

  45. Jackie Bauer :) says:

@Cathy Bickel, thanks for the link! Believe it or not, I’d actually read that one. I do understand that LDTs are not 100% accurate. **************************************

@Macy: I think your suggestion was a fine one, just not for Blink to do. I did a list of what we know that we don’t know and Blink posted it. I bet if you put one together based on what we know or good ?s asked, it would be helpful and used. Then you can just update it as info comes along. That’s what I’m trying to do, too. It helps me keep the list straight and maybe it’s helped some others. Anyway, please don’t be discouraged. I’m sure the posters weren’t jumping down your throat as much as they were speaking up for Blink because everyone knows how busy B is with three cases going.

This was my first post and it seems like everyone immediately jumps down my throat for me trying to be helpful to new readers. It was just a suggestion.

Hi Macy. Please don’t feel bad about your suggestion. I thought it was a good idea to try to reduce the number of repetitive posts over and over again (ie. I notice people ask about Kryon’s glasses frequently, and that the answer is always pretty much the same – we have reasons to believe that the replicas shown are his actual glasses, this is why we believe that etc.etc.).

Your idea could be like a single thread of Points of Regular Interest or FAQ. Then there could be a note from blink on whatever the most current thread is, asking readers before posting a question, to please visit the frequently asked questions thread to make sure it has not already been answered previously. Alternatively if someone asks a questions that has already been answered many times blink could just respond by saying, please see notes in the FAQ thread on this topic.

I do completely understand if people felt that was a lot of extra work or if it isn’t logistically feasible for this site at this time or wouldn’t work because of X, Y or Z, but I honestly don’t think that that makes it a bad idea. In fact I thought it was really good one.

We should all be open to feedback and ideas from others. This is how cases, websites, science, business, and many other things evolve, by people producing ideas and making suggestions. Some suggestions work and some don’t, but without people putting forth ideas and making suggestions, cases like this one don’t get solved, websites don’t improve their efficiency and user-friendliness, business don’t create new products or processes that improve their profitability.

So if you have reasons to believe someone’s idea or suggestion can’t or won’t work, or even that their idea on this case doesn’t add-up or make sense, feel free to say so and even say why you think so, but please tread gently and remember that most people on here are just regular individuals trying to be helpful and don’t deserve to be snipped at for their ideas or for having a different view point from yourself.
