Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Brad Conway Quits George and Cindy Anthony
Orlando, FL– Brad Conway, counsel to George and Cindy Anthony, has resigned.
Has Jose Baez, the defense counsel for alleged child murderer Casey Anthony had his first good idea by providing more inaccurate information for a motion on behalf of his client? Seems to me rendering the object of your defense strategy, lawyer-less, works in her favor.
He is the 3rd attorney to withdraw from representation of the Anthony’s behind Paul Kelley and Mark Nejame, respectively.
The resignation comes following a week of terse publicly released emails between Cindy Anthony, Mark Nejame, Brad Conway and Jose Baez.
Who’s to Blame?
Not the Anthony’s, says Conway. In a letter appearing on Wesh:
With regret I am forced to resign as George and Cindy Anthonys attorney. The defense motion filed on August 9, 2010 contains allegations that are not in fact true. As an officer of the court I cannot stand idly by knowing allegations involving me have been misstated. I am now a witness to an innacurate legal pleading filed in our court system. As such, I cannot continue in good conscience as a legal representative. George and Cindy Anthony have done nothing improper, it is the failure of the defense to verify the facts alleged in their motion that forces my withdrawal. I will continue to support the Anthonys, will continue to attend hearings and the eventual trial and most importantly I will continue to search for the full truth regarding the killing of Caylee Marie Anthony.

I share your frustrations. I am begining to not like beth and yes I seen that show on HLN. Baez in the background like some big shot not wanting to come on air. Why not jane velez coddles him and nancy doesnt cover the story anymore ?? why did she get in trouble. She sure dont mind being mean to her panel!!

I do not think Casey will plea this case under Baez, I do not see how she could garner a deal he would allow given the pile of bodies behind their tractor now, imo.

Could it be that Baez’s forensic experts had nothing to offer in defense of the forensic evidence that points to Casey and only Casey having killed her daughter, leaving her lifeless body in the trunk and then disposing of her? Just asking….
His defense is that there is nothing forensically linking Casey to this crime, the burden is on the prosecution and he will refute any “findings” with his own experts.
Egregious mistake. Babies do not end up in a bog with their Mom’s making up all kinds of BS to all kinds of folks as to where she is.
That jury is going to see Caylee’s little skull, they will visit Suburban and she will be either be sentenced to death or LWOP.

I am so sorry to hear about your BIL. I am sorry for the children he serves now and could have served in the future, too, along with his family, of course. Prayers for all who loved him, he sounds like he was a wonderful man.
Imagine the cat fight that will ensue when Casey figures out Beth is hitting on “her man.” I would not want to be anywhere within a 3 mile radius. Shotgun Sally will grab her daughter out of the melee, change clothes with her under a bridge somewhere and they will join a circus doing the shows they have learned from the defense.

It will be momster’s own words that convict her (she is a liar), her lack of any kind of searching (she knew no reason to search), her irresponsible attitude (she is a victim in her own mind) — all of this will not bode well with any jury. Then given the desecration of beautiful Caylee’s body — the nail in a much deserved coffin.

BC – verfiied there were no ‘conditions’ for Anthony’s waiver to Mark Nejame. and further more the A’s didn’t have to agree to waiver to allow BC access to records. Mark NeJame did it as a consideration to the A’s to hopefully give them peace of mind that there was noting amiss with the TES records.
BC said he resigned as he might have been called as a witness to the falsifications (re: the waiver) in the Baez motion and he would be testifying against his clients.
Someone asked if obstruction of justice charges might be filed against the A’s?
Conway said, it’s always a possibility
Conway was asked why he though the defense didn’t go through the documents?
Conway replied, “I couldn’t answer that…if it were me and if it were my client looking at 1st degree murder charges…the first day the judge said ‘Conway, you can look at those records’ I’d get my ass down there and look at them”

The defense is not obligated to put a defense on, they may or may not.
BC says this will go to trial, defense has too much invested to step away at this point.
Will JB take this to trial? BC says he will take the high road and not answer. He chuckled and you could tell he would LOVE to answer…but he didn’t.
Watts says he surprised JB is still on the case, talking about brokering the network licensing deal.
BC speaking in general terms said it depends on the conditions was negotiated in the deal. ie made for tv movie contigent on this going to trial. JB won’t be disbarred about the deal, bar investigated already.

He said he will NOT submit a bar complain against BOZO because he will not do anything to derail this case.
Watts says there is extensive blood evidence in the trunk from when Furman was there in August 2008.

I was just on the caylee daily and saw where Cindy deposited 200.00 into Casey’s account…I notice that all of the money orders come form Amscot….does anyone find that weird sense that’s where Casey parked and abounded her care that smelled of death…..or is it Cindy’s way of thumbing up her nose at blogger taunting us by providing Casey snack money. by buying her money orders at the place which plays a very sad part of her granddaughters short life and the first place that served as little caylee’s coffin her trunk. I not sure why but every-time I see that name on the money order it makes me sad.

You are very welcome and Blink says IF BAEZ is still her attorney she wont plea.The plea is out now as the time to do that has expired and what it looks like from Conway radio show answers, the defense won’t get a movie deal (JBs payment) unless it goes to trial.
So unless Baez is removed it will go to trial as the law changed that wont let him quit.
Blink do you know anything about blood evidence that Conway is talking about. First I heard of it (leak? by accident?)

I didn’t think that monster mom saw the money order. I was just feeling like it icky creepy sindy’s way thumbing her nose at what her monster child has done. Sindy would be a creepy lady to meet in a dark alley on Halloween….Off topic but I often wonder if Casey had gone to her mother and told her straight up that something had happened to Caylee would she have sent Casey out of state and claimed that Casey and caylee moved away. Blink, you may choose not to post or answer this and that’s okay, but I need to ask about something that’s bothering me and maybe you could put me on the right track if this is completely absurd. First off, please understand I’m not trying to make trouble and I’d never believe for a minute that George would harm a hair on Caylee’s head, but is it at all possible that George knew that Caylee was dead some time before the 911 call and could he have assisted a coverup in something he did before that 911 call as well? I know there’s no evidence of this and I’m not trying to make trouble, but I just can’t shake the thought. Speaking of thoughts, wanting to protect Casey or not, how far would George be willing to go to keep Cindy from finding out that “gorgeous” killed Caylee.

Terry ~ I think that’s exactly what would have happened. Send KC away, let it die down, spin the answers for any who press the issue and eventually she & george would have left the area to reunite with princess. An insulated world where Cindy is master of all.
If she hadn’t lost control and made that last 911 call, we most likely wouldn’t be discussing this case.
She would have shooed the officers away with it being just a misunderstanding.
I haven’t said it in a while but that little one deserves justice and to have her name be remembered for being an innocent victim, not the family member of the Anthonys, she deserves dignity not infamy for being in that family.

I’m not politically active, but this is a subject I feel very passionate about. A small beautiful child was killed. In the Anthony circus that you’ve helped create, her memory and justice has been lost. As long as you continue to promote them, I will not view your shows.

man it’s really something to tell people you think your granddaughter is still live and then donate her shoes. That makes no sense. I said this before She flips from one side of the coin to the other.
Chica- I read almost every day- BOC is still the first place I read in the morning- You commented that it has been slow around here lately- I agree.
But- it has been slow in regards to real impacting information in Caylee’s case. Many of us that post and read here, do so because Blink does not allow name calling or over the top hurtful opinion filled posts.
There is much that some could say, and would say, IRT some of the garbage that has come to light recently- But would any of it have merit?
My grandma used to say if you don’t have anything nice to say- don’t say anything at all- Many of us are forced to keep our mouths shut- in fear of offending our elders who taught us this lesson. LOL
Also- life has a way of getting in the middle- I have been busy with back to school preparations and schedules. Blink has a family of her own, plus she is covering other cases- as she has said, that have not been solved, with the bad guy sitting safely behind bars, ordering cocoa and crackers- She is rightfully spending time on those cases.
I have faith in Blink that when something breaks in this case- or when there is something to write she will write it- until then- I’ll post when I can – and read often-

When you do something from the heart you don’t contact the media to let them know…Cindy calling the media or responding to the media is just a ploy…People knew long ago Cindy forgot about Caylee and made it her mission to lie, implicate innocent people anything to protect Casey. She will also use Caylee as a way to “finance” her life. Donating Caylee’s shoes is just for media attention, otherwise she would have done it quietly and completely anonymously, someone else could drop off the donation if it came from her heart…
That’s rich.

As a “Christian” she should know you don’t broadcast your “generosity.” I hope the agency that receives them gives them back. I will send lots of shoes if they will. They will forever be tainted. Interesting point that you made regarding Cindy’s gift Blink- I have to say that thought had not crossed my mind.
However, what did give me pause, is that little Caylee was found shoeless, despite the fact that George said she left the house with her mother wearing shoes.
Which shoes of Caylee’s are being donated?
Have the police looked at all of Caylee’s shoes as evidence?
Did they light each pair under blue light?
Could Casey have returned the shoes to their place in Caylee’s closet? Why did Caylee not have shoes on when found?
Casey’s pants, that George described as the last clothes he saw her wearing,on June 16th, were found in the car- was Caylee’s shoes also there and for some reason weren’t mentioned? Casey’s shoes were in the car…..
IRT Cindy’s donating the shoes, I hate to question Cindy’s motives but, given her previous attempts to “mistakenly” do things that could effect her daughter’s case (the hairbrush/toothbrush) I sadly can not help it.
I would like to think that Cindy is donating Caylee’s shoes because she wishes to help disadvantaged children, in her granddaughter’s name.
I’d like to think that she alerted the media, because she was trying to give the charity and the cause some air time.
I’d like to think that Cindy, if only donating one pair of shoes, did so, because she can’t bear to part with anymore. Many grieving people hold on to their loved ones things for much longer…
I’d like to think that Cindy did this as a way of making a positive impact, and did not do this, and alert the media, simply to insight people to post hateful comments inorder to further try and prove Mr. Baez’s claims of people’s hatred for Casey, and the media’s thirst for stories, somehow preventing Casey from getting a fair trial,therefore, setting up grounds for an appeal-

If I am understanding this correctly, given the fact that Judge Perry already denied such motions, this is Baez’s attempt to bring it to the court’s attention, making a continuous objection about the sunshine law, and its impact on Casey’s case- in essence setting the grounds for an appeal, if and when Casey is found guilty and sentenced.
Not sure, but, what other reason would Baez have for trying this again, especially when he should be spending his time finishing depos and such before the deadline?

– I wonder if George took your advise and retained part of the pair as his personal lawyer and not in conjunction with Cindy? I know that would be asking too much- the bus afterall is already in motion.
I don’t know why appeals are so scary (and therefore we have to not ruffle feathers kind of thing) in this case. It is my understanding that death penalty cases always have appeals to them, no matter what. And even the non-death penalty criminals have a right to appeal. Let them. They won’t fly and the “thing” will still be behind bars.
Just like I’m starting to believe that BC has something personally profiting for him in the works which is the real reason he resigned. Why? He felt it was his duty to resign when “falsehoods” about him were entered in a legal document and everyone with some legal background says that he is duty-bound to file a complaint with the bar but yet he won’t because he doesn’t want to derail. Heck, a few bar complaints have already been filed and it hasn’t derailed anything, they’re still there making a mockery out of the judicial system. And he states he will still be available to those things and attend hearings, so what’s the difference between representing and not representing them. I don’t see any. Maybe it was some sort of a ploy that the inmates defense and BC planned….for what purpose I don’t know yet.
Just read that CAYLEE MARIE ANTHONY’s so-called grandparents have 2 new lawyers, don’t know if it is one for each since both lawyers work for the same firm.
Why did that thing give away CAYLEE MARIE ANTHONY’s shoes (and notify the media that she was doing it)? She claims Caylee is alive, Caylee might’ve wanted them as a keepsake when she came home so that she can give them to her children when she grows up and have them (sarcasm). PUHLEEZE!
The suffering that poor child, CAYLEE MARIE ANTHONY, went through when she was being murdered. I hope and pray that her little spirit is playing and singing and having fun in heaven.
