Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Cheney Mason Predicted Casey’s Conviction AFTER Caylee Was Recovered

You can pretty well predict there’s going to be a life sentence, either a plea and get it over with or have a circus trial and then be convicted and get life,”

– J.Cheney Mason, counsel for Casey Anthony

Well now, there you have it. Words from J. Cheney Mason, co-counsel of the defense team via THE BAEZ LAW FIRM.  Was he co-counsel when he said it? No.  All the more reason to wonder why he would sign on to this case. Yet bet Ms. Simms is happy she did not have a TV when these aired.

Cheney’s prediction of Casey’s trial outcome comments were made the day after Caylee’s remains were located, and OCSO was still onscene, December 12, 2008.

Casey Anthony’s parents were still guests of the THE RITZ CARLTON thanks to ABC, and their Hopespring Drive home was being turned upside down by OCSO ater finding Caylee’s Winnie the Pooh blanket her grandmother conveniently forgot to mention was missing from her room.

“Hopespring” - now there is the boss of all oxymorons in this case.

Tuesday, in the news-less press conference, Mr. Mason forgot his former comments as an “analyst” for local 6 as invited by reporterTony Pipitone.

WFTV Reporter Kathi Belich asked Mason if he recalled being a commentator on the case and concluding that Casey would be convicted.

His Response In pertinent part:

“… I Don’t recall making any such statement..”

O No? We DO.

AFTER Caylee Anthony’s remains were recovered

…” All that talking and the press interviews.. the parents going on this show and that show, the lawyer (Baez) going on different shows established they have no credibility whatsoever..”

Reasonable Doubt – Smeashonable Doubt……unless the jury is a bunch of turnips, with a combined IQ of 10, casey is going down. You can’t explain away the “31 days”… she’s a KNOWN liar & thief. Now they’re saying that somebody may have been trying to fabricate search records to indicte the place where Caylee’s remains were found was actually searched – when we all KNOW it was under water…. I can only hope that if that’s true & they can prove it there will be charges filed.

    Keep the faith people!

I have faith there WILL be Justice For Caylee Marie!

J/K, say isn’t it interesting that ABC took the first photo ‘deal’ to get the A’s locked in, and JP Chatt was reported to have been one of those friends who tried to sell Caylee photos and story quotes etc. Does he still work for ABC affiliates?

    Chica my love-

You know there are hundreds of posts a day across 4 cases, right?

It hurts my feelings that you only come to see me on Caylee’s case; It is 1:21 AM and I am having to watch Joy Wray and that is not a punishment I, or anyone else for that matter, deserves.

Now, get off my a** and let me work.

I heart you and I am so totally kidding, but I needed to say that to someone badly and I knew it could be you.

    Deep breath.

Now that she has calmed down I back to feeling sorry for her.

Joy W is a virus, the hammering of the nail in the arm of that Angel was Uber Ugly, she (JW) holds no water….walking nightmare, just like the rest of the A Bunch…God let this trial begin already…

I will and forever hold out hope on those 31 days…nothing else IMHO will ever be as strong…MOTY doesnt call police for over a month??? NOTHING will ever compare…that is where and what I am banking on…

I will never care about what Cin-Sin says or does, I will never hold hope on George….I dont care about bro Lee….what I do know is that a Loving Mother would NEVER…EVER not report her stolen child if she truly wasnt involved in some way or fashion…

that is where I lay my money…I will not EVER again question any other evidence in this case..I dont care about Baez or Cheney, they are only doing the horrible job they can at this point..but in the end Justice for our Angel will happen….

    God rest lil Caylee…today

I am so sick and tired of all the analysis over EVERYTHING in this case…

Bottom line this helpless baby was taken by her mommy for many reasons we will never understand because we cant unless we are Casey, we dont know her demons, we can guess ( and we have a pretty good idea who it was) but we were not there years ago….

forgive her for what she has done for she knows not…none of them do, they claim they are saved….but those who claim truly are not…

after 2 years, we all know it is ok for Caylee because our eyes are wided open…and with that I take much peace…

Our lil Angel is right where she should be and in HIS time all will be made right….we dont like it but we know it is true…

Everything and I mean everything points in one direction, I laugh at times when people on blogs forget the simple facts and get all twitterpated thinking she will get off…in this world maybe, could happen because of her horrible DT, but, in the ultimate world never…

Anthony’s enjoy yourselfs, Baez keep up the Good work :-) someone else is watching and he knows ALL…

I will never get spun up in the doc dumps because I know they are the standby evidence….

Again no MOTY would ever never never ever not report her baby being taken if indeed she was not involved….

Moms are Lioness….Momma’s dont play that

CAYLEE RIP run laugh play with all those lil babies who were taken so soon and smile knowing you are in the hands of happiness

I am so sick of this case yesterday!

Author Ann Rule mentions Casey Anthony in new book

    ——————————————————————————–

Yesterday, I walked down to my local bookstore, and bought true-crime writer Ann Rule’s book, “But I Trusted You”, (from her ‘Crime Files’ series, Volume 14- copyright 2009, Simon & Schuster).

I was just reading along, when suddenly, on page 79 (of the paperback edition), I read,

“Infamous female criminals like Susan Smith, Casey Anthony, and Dianne Downs have devised similar schemes, building castles in the sky out of diaphanous threads hooked to weak foundations. They all murdered their own children, sacrificing them to get what they wanted, to find perfect love. And there have been scores more women without conscience who have killed people who trusted them to achieve what they think will make them happy”.

It caught me by surprise to stumble across Casey’s name like that, I guess because Casey has yet to even go to trial- and here it is stated as fact that Casey murdered her own child, and “sacrificed her” to get what she wanted. (Although I agree completely with Ms. Rule’s assessment).

I guess the way Casey would see it, is if Ann Rule is mentioning her in books, even referring to her as ‘infamous’, Casey has truly ‘arrived’.

Lewis, 41, is due to be executed by injection Thursday night in a case that has drawn much attention because she’d become the first woman put to death in the U.S. in five years and the first in Virginia in nearly a century. She is also borderline mentally +++++++, and many say it’s unfair that she be put to death when her co-defendants, who fired the fatal shots, got life sentences, The Washington Post reported.

Well I reviewed the newest documents/evidence release. I have to say that I believe that there is a GREAT DEAL of evidence against Ms. Casey Anthony.

Looking at the luminol pictures in the trunk was quite sickening and rather illuminating (pun intended)

What this innocent little girl had to endure at the hands of her mother is something that will haunt me each night.

The luminol pics highlight for me a rather BIG question.

Where was the blue bin in the trunk of the car? Were the clothes that George saw actually a laundry bag?

Reason I ask is that mess, and poor little Caylee seemed to take up some space… Maybe she had already disposed of Caylee and the mess and covered it up with clothes and the blue bin? Maybe Caylee was still there but hidden/covered with clothes and other stuff?

George never got in that trunk on 6/24. He never saw Casey that day.
It was a complete fabrication to demonstrate Caylee was not in the trunk and that there was no smell of decomp on 6/24. Which is pretty funny considering iirc, Casey herself began the “car smells” after Dad borrowed it drivel the same day.

She knew he called LE about the gas can theft, and started her BS already.

He never saw Casey/Caylee leave on 6/16 either. Casey never left that house until after 4:14PM.

These people. You would think the knowledge that your dead grandbaby laid in your backyard would make them want to tell the truth.

July 3rd people, what did Cindy find?

  21. cindeefromwisconsin says:

Blink…Regarding July 3rd did Cindy find Caylee’s shoes or Mama doll clothes? Trying to remember.

  22. cindeefromwisconsin says:

Its all coming back to me now. CA found Mama doll clothes, she started to panic. At this point she hadn’t seen Caylee in weeks and Momster was always giving excuses why she couldn’t see her. CA called Lee and Lee went down to fusion to find the momster and momster was alerted to Lee coming down and she took off. How did I do?

It has never been reported, or disclosed that I know of, by Cindy. It is strictly my opinion that drove her behavior that day, as well as Casey’s.

    Hi Blink,

I am new to this site. I was wondering about your comment regarding George making up the 6/24 incident and the 6/16 Casey leaving with Caylee. Is this after you looked at the cell phone pings? I agree with what you’re saying but I was wondering if it matched up with where she was located on 6/24 and 6/16. I think George’s detailed description of what Caylee was wearing etc. is a bit too detailed (red flag). Also he changed his story about the trunk and has two different stories. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

Blink can you give your opinion on what you think, mine is some article of clothing perhaps

  27. Anna says:

Anita. I think they found her clothes in a bag at the site. I just can’t remember if it was in the laundry bag or other bag. I need to read the evidence info again.

  28. NancyS says:

I would guess it would be more of a shallow grave and possibly a lock of hair? as George and Cindy removed a very large plant in the back yard and it seems silly that they would move such a big plant and I think George also put a bunch of lime back there too? the dogs hit back there in more than one spot on the 16th of July as george and Cindy were suspicious.

  29. Calista says:

    Dear Blink,

I agree with you that Joy Wray’s behavior has indeed calmed down. I do feel a degree of sympathy, as well, given Joy’s (IMO) untreated and/or poorly managed mental illness. It’s just like a person with diabetes…..the patient needs to stay consistent about treatment/maintenance/monitoring/meds and maintain regular, honest communication with their physician(s). I do wish Joy well and hope she does not insert herself further into the Baez circus. Peace. XO

  30. Terry says:

    Hi Blink,

I am glad to hear you say that about George because I have been of the same opinion for some time. You never heard the stories about George seeing Casey and Caylee leaving or the gas until a couple weeks into all of the story telling and the cover up by Cindy with George following suite.

Thanks Blink for this wonderful site.

  31. Susan2 says:

I agree that George did not see Casey on the 24th, but how did he get the gas cans back? Were the gas cans still in the trunk when they picked the car up from the tow lot?

    No.
Casey heard about the call to the Five-O and dumped off at Lee’s house.
    B

  32. cheryl says:

July 3rd/-Cindy’s letter to KC–she knows something is amiss. When was the date of their backyard work? July 3rd/ also rings a bell. I rem. finding it odd to have work done on a Holiday.

  33. Susan2 says:

July 3rd……For Cindy to be upset and have Lee try to find Casey, I think it would have to be more than clothes being found. I have two children and four grandchildren and finding clothes in the back yard would not scare me. However, NancyS, may be on the something. Maybe Caylee’s hair had started to fall out. If I found a handfull of hair of one of my grandchildren…….THAT would scare me.

  34. Susan2 says:

I was just sitting here thinking and whatever they found would have had to be in the playhouse or the sandbox or inside the house. I live here in Florida and there is no way you can go past a week, mowing the yard at that time a year. If something from Caylee was left in the yard, they would have found it the week of June 16th.

  35. Mom3.0 says:

Didn’t The Anthony’s lay concrete that day also?
    Not sure.
NancyS- could be- we know the ground was disturbed and missing some dirt from one area….wasn’t the plastic mesh disturbed?

Also if Cindy was telling the truth, about Caylee’s teeth, someone once pondered whether it could have been a baby tooth of Caylee’s that was found?

Right now- I’m thinking Blink is right and it could’ve been Momma dolls clothes, covered in dirt and ?

    Pavers. Yes.
    B

  36. Susan2 says:

Sorry, things keep popping into my head. Was the playhouse sitting on the ground or was it sitting on concrete blocks? If it was sitting on concrete blocks, I would bet it was on plain white concrete blocks as opposed to the decorative ones. They are cheaper and if the playhouse was on top, they wouldn’t be seen anyway. Wasn’t Dick Casey looking for concrete blocks in the woods when he was looking for Caylee’s body? Maybe Casey borrowed the shovel to “pry” concrete blocks up from under the playhouse. She wanted to mark where she put Caylee’s body. When Cindy and George were working in the yard on July 3rd, they moved the playhouse and noticed concrete blocks missing. While that may not have scared her, it would have pissed her off. Ok, never mind, that would explain the shovel, the blocks Dick Casey was looking for, but it wouldn’t scare Cindy. It has to be something that would scare Cindy…..I still like the “hair” idea.

  37. RubyRose says:

I never believed George’s statement about seeing them on the 16th. I agree, too detailed about their clothing and what tote bags they had since KC had so many.

I believe KC could have killed Caylee early AM on the morning of the 16th. The “Cindy choking KC” fight pissed KC off and after Caylee went to sleep she put duct tape on her mouth (so no would hear her struggle or yell) and then KC smothered her with a pillow.

My only question about that scenario is did George leave the house for errands? Did he not knock on KC’s door looking for Caylee? Did he just assume KC and Caylee were gone and he didn’t bother to open the door to KC’s room to see if they were in there?

Cindy did not hear them awaking through the closed door like she said, that is just another Cindy lie. I bet KC stayed in her room with deceased Caylee until George left. Then she started trying to figure out what to do with Caylee. Took her to the back yard, washed her body in the pool, then placed her on the ground and then in the trash bag. KC moved her to a couple locations in the backyard trying to hide her. Realized that was a bad idea so she backed her car into the garage and threw Caylee in the trunk.

So many variables and lies in this case that it leaves it open to a lot of self interpretation.

  38. Bam from Mississippi says:

I do not see it, if you did, I do not even know what it was for so thank you anyway friend :)
    B

  39. cheryl says:

So July 3rd was both the day of laying pavers down in the yard and CA’s chilling entry to KC?

  40. Pamela says:

    NancyS says:

I would guess it would be more of a shallow grave and possibly a lock of hair? as George and Cindy removed a very large plant in the back yard and it seems silly that they would move such a big plant and I think George also put a bunch of lime back there too? the dogs hit back there in more than one spot on the 16th of July as george and Cindy were suspicious.

Nancy – Could you tell me where you read about the large plant being moved? Just the approx date of the interview and who said it? That is new to me and I’d like to research. Thanks in advance
I live in Central Florida and know what a chore keeping a well manicured yard can be. Between the growth, bugs and weeds its alot of work and constant use of products. I know some people still use lime but there are far safer products that produce the same results. Cindy being an RN and concerned for her dogs and Caylee, I can’t imagine her allowing lime to be spread. Just a little powder on Caylee’s skin could cause extreme issues. What did Georgie Porg use the lime for?

  41. Susan2 says:

I agree that Momma Doll’s clothes might scare Cindy (Caylee didn’t like her doll undressed). There could only be two reasons to take Momma Doll’s clothes off. (1)One last torment for Caylee (2)Something “telling” was on the clothes and had to be discarded….blood, chloroform, grave wax……What is you thought?

  42. Anna says:

Blink, Where did you read about the paver’s covering mama doll’s clothes? Also, about George making up the June 24th gas can incident and her taking them to Lee’s? Is that your opinion or is that in the depo’s or evidence somewhere? Thanks.

  43. Anna says:

Why wouldn’t they just burn mama doll’s clothes? Isn’t that a little risky to bury them under the paver’s? That doesn’t make any sense. Why keep the clothes? JMO

  44. OutofOrder says:

Blink, I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone ask you this, but do you have your own theory of how Caylee died, just what Casey did to her? Accident has been 100% ruled out by me a long time ago for multiple reasons, but I’m also kicking around multiple scenarios of how Casey killed Caylee, more than one of them fit what we now know.

Would you care to share yours, please? TIA!

ANNA – where did this originate that the Mama Doll clothes were found under the pavers?

Who found them, Cindy or LE? And if Cindy found them, how do we know this, and, did she turn them over to LE WITH the admission of where she found them?
