Holly Bobo Missing: ATV Tire Ads Tied To Case- Search Sets Up Roadblocks- Blink Discuss Case Tonight On Dana Pretzer Show
Parsons,
Mark Gwyn, director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, announced the current reward offered has tripled to $75,000 thanks to a $50,000 commitment from Tennesee Governor Bill Haslam at a press conference yesterday at the command center.
Also during the press conference, Gwyn stated that Clint Bobo, Holly’s brother and witness to her walking into the woods with a man dressed in camo he thought was her boyfriend, was NOT able to provide a description.
..”As you know, at this time, we have one eyewitness, that’s Holly’s brother, and he was not able to give us a description…”… Mark Gwyn, TBI
Yesterday, Holly Bobo’s cousin, Whitney Duncan, appeared on Fox News and Good Morning America, thanking the public and asking folks to keep searching. She also appears to have lost her patience with speculation about her cousin Clint, possibly being not only an eyewitness, but a suspect.
Duncan’s sentiments were echoed by newly appointed family spokesperson Kevin Bromley as he appeared on the Good Morning America Show this morning:
“Clint is a wonderful young man and as a character witness for him, I would rule out any kind of rumors on Clint and the family would feel comfortable with me saying that as well,” said Kevin Bromley, a spokesman for the Bobo family.
The 7th day of the search began again today, at the new command center, The National Guard Armory located at 256 West 9th St, Parsons.
Kristin Helm, spokesperson for TBI announced yesterday they were choosing to move to this location due to the amoung of evidence that has been collected, and their need for enhanced security.
TBI has decided on a new tactic today, as reported by Will Nunley, of WBBJ-TV there is a roadblock set up on Myracle Town Rd and twelve new investigators from TBI have been added to the case this morning. (Editors Note: Nunley has been doing a stellar job in the field on this case, kudos, follow his tweets.)
This investigation is beginning to sound very much like how Canadian Air Force Colonel Russell Williams was nabbed – by a roadblock where the tires on his vehicle were spotted by an eagle-eyed investigator and were visually consistent with tire treads found at the scene of one of the murdered women.
Speaking of tires, www.blinkoncrime.com has uncovered what has been determined to be “materially relevant” to the case of the disappearance of Holly Bobo, by a source inside the investigation speaking to blinkoncrime.com on the condition of anonymity.
While our source will not comment on whether one or both ads are a part of the case or who they might be tied to, the ad from Parsons, appeared at 12:33AM on April 17, before the public was asked to notice who may have replaced tires or cleaned an ATV or vehicle.
Two ATV tire ads, one from Jackson, TN and one from Parsons, TN appeared on Craigslist on April 17, 2011.
As the search perimiters in previous days were located 6 and 8 miles away from Bobo’s home, where items of hers are believed to have been recovered, it begs the question, why would the focus turn to nearly 2 miles away from the Swan Johnson address of the Bobo’s, to Myracle Town Rd, in the opposite direction? Do investigators think the suspect has been trying to send them in the opposite location by planting evidence?
Police are interviewing neighbors in this Myracle Town Rd. and Box Rd. area today, as well as stopping motorists, of which there are very little. A different tactic indeed.
Searches in this rural terrain are daunting to say the least, however, the community outreach and response to requests for assistance has been nothing short of astounding.
While speculation that the suspect responsible for Holly’s disappearance is indeed a member of the very small town of Parson’s, and is well known to Holly and the Bobo family, many close friends of the Bobo’s are participating in searches of their own properties vowing to continue until she is located.
Many long time Decatur County families own large tracts of land near the Bobo residence.
Some of them for generations – including the Todd family, as an example, who owns large tracts in the Myracle Town Rd, Box Rd, and Gilbert Rd area.
Jason Todd, a former schoolmate of Holly Bobo’s as are MANY of Holly’s friends, will unfortunately end up searching for her in each other’s backyards.
The search for Holly Bobo continues, follow my tweets.

It’s troubling me that the tracking dogs did not pick up a trail from the carport into the woods and beyond. I know nothing about them, but have talked to a few people who do. They state that the conditions should have been good for picking up her scent. It’s my understanding that they brought dogs in early on. Do you Blink or fellow readers have any ideas about this? Thanks.
I don’t believe there has been any information released at to canine findings.

Some reverse lookups show the numbers as landlines, some as cell. With portability for numbers, those listing are easily inaccurate these days, and would explain the inconsistencies.
I’m not buying that the name/FB linked to was just a random example of a friend. That would be out of character.
I find it interesting that the specific page linked to was the friend’s list, not the main profile page. Could be unintentional, sure. But it made me look closer at the friend’s lists.
Holly is linked to her brother, the presumably current/most recent bf, and the one listed above. Holly has many mutual links with her brother and current bf. The brother and the bf are linked, and have many mutual links.
But Holly is the only one of the three that links to the Facebook account in the article. While she is connected to him, and what appears to be relatives of his, neither her brother, nor the current bf, appear to be connected to any of that family.
Doesn’t necessarily mean anything… but since so many of the profiles of that area seem very interconnected, it caught my eye. Have to admit I’m very curious if there’s some particular reason for the non-friended-ness.

Blink I am sure you must have seen this. Please note that his location in Holladay is just on the other side of US40 from Parsons. I think it is also interesting that the location of the interrupted abduction attempt is so close in proximity to US 40.

This suspect profile is not even in the same zip code as the suspect who abducted Holly Bobo.

Per tonight’s Nancy Grace episode, LE has re-interviewed Heather Sullivan the young woman mentioned in the above article. The m.o. sounds eerily similar.
Everyone follow Blink’s twitter and link to Will Nunley. His tweets about tonight’s vigil for Holly will fill your spirit. It is good to know that people do still care about others and do not abandon them in their time of need. Just like Blink and her never ending search for the truth for these victims.
Sorry….Blink has a connection to Will’s tweets at the beginning of this article. Thanks, Blink.
He is doing a fantastic job covering this case locally. Truly.

Do we have a stalker playing “The Most Dangerous Game”? It would answer so many questions and meets the creepiest criteria. “Say it ain’t so” Blink. Love this website. Such talented people. Prayers for those in so much pain over this tragedy.
I don’t think so poppy. Btw, love your name, it is one of my fave flowers, seeing them grow wild in the French countryside a few years ago made me think that might be a slice of heaven.
B
B,
Why is the profile of the Sullivan attempted abductor not “in the same zip code” as the profile of the perp in this case? There must be something obvious that am missing. On the surface, I was willing to consider that the Sullivan matter may have been an early trial for a gradually more bold and determined predator. Why are you so quick to discount this possibility?
This is an excellent question.
There are many reasons. Some of which, if I address, I have a concern for compromising this case, which I will never do.
Again, I encourage the question. In no way am I putting you off.
On a basic level, Sullivan did not know this alleged perp. He was not successful in abducting her. He does not fit the physical description, and imo, le has had a beat on this guy since the 911 call.
I am struggling for the words to articulate this so it does not sound smug or disrespectful.
In terms of the cases we cover, this is among the “simplest” in terms of profile and probable outcome.
It does not change the fact, that with a 5 case backlogue of folks we are set to present and cover, I stopped everything because my analysis of this case told me there was a window. While I pray this is the case, and man, I would love to be due for “a miracle”, an egregious error, I sadly and with a heavy heart, do not believe that will happen here.
I have 2 nieces graduating from school next month.
I want to help them celebrate the promise of their future studies and life, not lecture them again with a new name.
In almost every case, there is a point where I abhor this work. I know that is coming for Holly’s case.
Please extend your kind thoughts, prayers and energy to the Bobo family, their friends, and this most courageous community.

The Goose Pit Club Facebook page is a bit creepy. I didn’t even know goose hunters build and use pits. The pictures of the pits remind me of “The Lovely Bones”.
http://www.facebook.com/pages/City-Limits-Goose-Club/136307953046994#!/photo.php?fbid=136310396380083&set=a.136309249713531.23718.136307953046994&type=1&theater
I hope TBI has checked all goose pits in the area.
JMOO
So much rumour and speculation it is very hard to even begin to think what might have happened to this poor young woman. Did the neighbour hear her scream? Was she dragged or did she walk? DNA results are back from the blood drops found, Holly`s lunchbox, phone and purse have been recovered? Ms Bobo`s brother passed a lie detector test? The search on Thursday has been called off, why on earth call off the search? I hope it is because LE suspect she is alive and being held at some location. Blink your recent posts give me the impression you believe this poor girl is sadly no longer with us, hopes and prayers this is not the case.
Thank you Kim for the link to the Goose Pit Club FB page. What exactly are these Goose Clubs and what are the pits used for? I agree that that page is creepy. Are there many of the pits in the area where Holly is from?
I found this link on Google for goose pits for dummies, which I guess I am, since I hadn’t heard of them. There’s a pic of the inside of one down about halfway on the page. I too, hope these have been checked out.

This was a Nancy Grace Facebook post…

DNA results back on blood found – does it belong to Holly Bobo? Nancy Grace live on the scene tonight with the latest in the desperate search!
So, I went onto the Nancy Grace show’s website and pulled up the transcripts from last night’s show and it says…..
“The DNA results are back, and they are not releasing those results to us, though. They`re keeping this investigation very close to the chest, Deborah.”
If the search has in fact been called off and not due to weather, then it just tells me they have everything they need already and know way more than we do at this time. Which looking at it from that perspective well, does not appear to be a good outcome. Hope I’m wrong and will be sending prayers for the family.
TandT…the search Tuesday was called off due to predicted severe weather. I have not heard that the search was called off completely
yes they have a sex offenders list and codis
The search was not called off….today is only for cops, the public will resume with the search tomorrow. I want to know the DNA results, I am assuming since they aren’t releasing it yet that they possible have a criminal match and its not HB’s blood! I cannot stop dreaming about this case, but I feel it is getting close to the end, too Blink!
There are 5 different road blocks up today, a week later, a day after blood results are in-

Hmmm…wonder if LE will be asking for voluntary buccal swabs next?
Yep. Me suspects there is a writ in someone’s back pocket with just that permission slip.
The amount of roadblocks concerns me. Let me say this to anyone that is reading, as a hypothetical message to the family of a suspect.
One way or another, this is going down, maybe someone could spare this family and this community another day of this anguish and do the right thing.
B
B
If the suspect knows there are roadblocks set up in every direction, I doubt he’ll be trying to drive anywhere soon……….unless he’s stupid.
Maybe he will try to move out of the area by ATV and/or hiking. Hope TBI also has men posted on trails that may be used as an escape.
I guess my previous hope that Holly was being held in a Goose Pit is sadly, not the case.
So sad. Prayers to Holly and her family.

They have the blood results. Don’t they need a “base” sample from him in order to test against the blood found at the scene?
If they do have those two samples to compare – through whatever capacity, and know who it is, does this mean that he’s in hiding. Otherwise they’d storm over and arrest him, right?
I’m confused. I would love enlightenment, if you could say a little more. I can’t link road blocks with blood results. Is there legal criteria that needs to be met in order to bring someone in for questioning/testing from a stop at a road block?
graceinthehills comment was posted as I was writing my last comment; swabs make sense. I’m sure the suspects family knows, and is terrified of the consequences they’ll all have to face as a result of what this man did.
There will be much more respect from the community if they come forward with nobility, as opposed to being flushed out like cowards.
Becca, I just had to copy these words from your post. “There will be much more respect from the community if they come forward with nobility, as opposed to being flushed out like cowards.”
Well spoken!. Holly’s community is such a close knit community. If the family of the perpetrator doesn’t come forward the community, and Holly’s friends and family will feel so betrayed by not only the perpetrator but his family as well. I doubt very much if the community or her family could ever forgive them.
Are any of the goosehunters missing right now?
I assume The roadblocks are a questioning platform for people driving in the area.
If they had positive ID on the blood they would be silent and deadly looking for the culprit.
I assume everything and I know nothing ..Hope they catch the culprit soon and find Holly and bring her home to her family.
jmho
The LE were looking for Holly in a pond. I think we can safely say that the items of hers they found, as well as other items or evidence led them to believe Holly was no longer with the kidnapper, or sadly, alive.
Blink, It sounds like you have a suspect in mind but I have been unable to piece togehter the clues as to who you might think it is. You do not have to tell me who (as I know you won’t) but do you in fact think you know who took HB?
Thanks. I’ve followed you since the beginning of the Caylee mess.
D
I cannot comment on that directly, but i have stated that LE and Holly’s family knows exactly who this is.
B
why do you think they know who this is? I am assuming the roadblocks are because the “kidnapper” is not where they believe him to be….and are questioning everyone one their whereabouts?!?
Why can’t Holly’s parents call the parents of who they suspect?
Why can’t they go to their house?
Can’t they beg them to talk to their son to bring her home.
If I knew who had my child, I could not stand by and do nothing. This is so hard to comprehend.
I am supposing the families know one another since this is such a small
community. I know this is a stupid question……
Well ,for one, LE would absolutely not allow that.
Vigilanti-ism is not an answer for their missing daughter.
I did get an email that we are vetting as we speak, that is indicating that there is a property owner known to this family that is denying access to have the property searched.
B
This whole situation is hard to comprehend…
wanted to explain my statement above
God Bless Holly and her family..
Blink, is there still a chance for Holly coming home alive? If the LE knows and her family knows, then it would seem their attention is focused on getting the perp, then retrieving Holly.
Please, I hope I am so wrong about this :’o(
I personally do not believe this very lovely young lady is with us any longer.
The adrenaline and mental state with which one perpetrates an act like this, is very, very toxic to both that individual and of course Holly. Once a person “fragments” that way, it is near impossible to turn that around, especially when they blame that state on the victim.
Given the evidence that has been recovered, it’s location and the timing, I think this is a recovery operation at this point.
I would not be surprised if this case ends up a murder suicide.
B
…also, was it the ATV tires, after all, that lead LE to this property?
Blink, I understand your need for ambiguity and I know all of us here respect the way you research and cover a story in addition to preserving the investigation. I would just like to know, if you can say, did Holly’s parents know she was in fear of someone and they knew the identity of that person? Or is the individual known to the family after the fact based on a physical description or some other evidence recovered?
I am going to answer that in a general way. There was no emergent threat to Holly that anyone was aware of.

In the link above is a an article with a picture of the Bobo Family mailbox. It shows, that as you enter the Bobo property before traveling down their long driveway, there is a very prominent Neighborhood Watch Sign clearly displayed and tacked below said mailbox. Given the way this town is described, I presume this family had that sign posted as a message to one individual. Either that or something sinister occurred prompting the sign. Why else in this rural, tight knit, everybody knows your name and bad stuff doesn’t happen here town?
I hope this is resolved quickly as Blink has indicated it will.

B
Pardon my naivete’ but if the family knows who the perp is, wouldn’t their statements be enough probably cause for a search warrant?
Unless they are only piecing the puzzle together after the fact and no solid witness account.
Confused as to how/why LE could i.d. the perp and still have their hands tied. Also, how are LE able to question/search with a road block and not go directly to a property and do the same?
I hope and pray that she is still alive and is found in time. Sounds like they are very close and it’s all about to come down. Praying hard for a good outcome.
Meanwhile, OT, sadly the body if missing Phylicia Barnes has been found. Such a shame.
P.S. I do realize, however, that her being found alive is probably unlikely….. but I keep wanting to believe that this person is someone who was obsessed and/or in love with her and that he didn’t kill her but rather took her for his keeping, and that there is still a chance of finding her alive.
Blink, do you believe this was pre-meditated or in the heat of the moment?
From a legal perspective, it was pre-meditated.
That said, i do believe there was a trigger of some kind that precipitated it.
B
I hope she is safe and I hope they hurry up if they know who might have her, ever minute counts.
Praying for Holly since she went missing.
Blink I posted my comment on the first Holly thread and meant to put it here instead. This is the comment:

I have thought about that angle too, but a little differently.
———-
What if Holly’s brother knew in advance that a past friend or ex boyfriend of Holly’s was coming over that morning to see Holly. Maybe the person had asked him if he could stop and talk to Holly and Clint said sure-go ahead-I’ll give you guys some privacy.
So that wouldn’t make Clint guilty of anything but trusting the wrong person and believing that this was going to be an innocent conversation to attempt to get Holly to agree to go out with that person again, or maybe just resolve some disagreement they had.
That would keep Clint from truly paying attention to whatever was going on outside the house, and it would give the bad guy time to grab Holly and take her into the woods.
He may not have heard the screams(as did a neighbor). He may have just seen the camo guy with Holly, as expected by him, and then headed to the bathroom to jump in the shower.
He may have not gotten worried until he left the house, saw Holly’s car was still there, and saw the blood-which necessitated the checkup calls to several people, including his mom-then to 911.
I believe from what I have read that Clint did some calling around to try to find Holly before he finally called 911.
He would have been hoping against hope that nothing bad had happened-and that he wasn’t inadvertently responsible for his sister being hurt.
Clint would still be looked at by LE as cooperating with the bad guy-even by simply agreeing to give him and Holly a little space to talk. LE would be checking out if Clint knew, in any way, shape or form-just how bad this bad guy could get.
If this happened the way I just proposed, then Clint would feel agonized by what he “allowed” to happen-even if there was no way he could have foreseen the end results.
In this case-LE would know for sure who they were looking for-but would have to tread lightly in what info was given out, to try to keep Holly alive until they could find her and her abductor.
——————–
JAT—-Just another theory….
________________
Interesting interview with Sheriff Wyatt on April 13, the day Holly was taken. Mentions neighbor hearing Holly’s screams-as in plural. Thanks to Cranky Crankerson again!
Made me think that Clint must have been in the shower or had the music cranked up as he got ready for his day. When I get ready to go out, I always have the music up loud-I would not hear anything in a situation like this one.
Also mentions that Holly always left the house between 7am and 7:30 am to head for school.

She probably thought she could talk him out of it..
Sad.. I hope they find them.
Holly knew her brother was in the house. I believe she was abducted by someone she knows well and believed she could reason with this person and ultimately convince him to release her. If not, I think she would have fought harder and made more noise to get the attention of her brother. Of course these are just my thoughts and I’m basing them on what I would do in that situation.
really people who can’t think of who it is pieces of the puzzle r eazy to put togather its not the brother
I wonder if it was an abduction — or a set up. What if someone was in the car port when Holly came out. He appeared injured and said, “Holly help I was in an accident with …….. (her boyfriend or someone she knows). She may go willingly — thinking she was going to help someone realizing later she is in danger.
I know the investigators have said she went in to those woods fearing for her life; but I just wonder if maybe she was tricked.
le has to establish a motive they probey don’t have one yet the evidence is probley starting to paint a picture for them maybe the abducter is on drugs and going crazy cutting himself he takes her because he is obsessed with her kills her comes down from his high relizes what he did goes home tells dad they plant the evidence in the woods directing tbi away from their house just a scernio
ok, good theory. What else?
B
Do you think the perp is scattering Holly’s belongings or is Holly trying to leave a trail? I know if someone snatched me, I would leave a trail of my things if I could…a shoe, sock, a ring, my phone, my purse, keys, earring…I would drop these items enroute. The duct tape, I think Holly ripped it off. Because if the perp put it on her because she screamed, he wouldn’t have been the one to tear it off. I think she did and dropped it as a clue to “hey someone grabbed me, please help me” …just my opinion. I live not too far from the Morgan Harrington case in Charlottesville and the Harvey Family case in Richmond VA.
I hope they find her, please find her safe.
Blink, do you actually help with the investigations or do you do your own research and investigating? And if you do your own, do you give your information over to the authorities?
You do a difficult job in an awesome way.
D
Yes and Yes and Yes.
I have different investigative resources for different case specificity, but our core group I am most proud of.
I am not permitted to disclose “who” but we have several curriculum’s following our casework here, and in a few different areas of concentration.
Thank you for the kind words.
B
From what I am gathering from Blink’s generous commentary:
- Crime of passion.
- Perp known VERY well to Holly.
- She felt sorry for him. Thought she could “help” him.
- If he couldn’t have her, no one could.
IMO, the family knows who it is already. The ex-boyfriend.
l-
Is it ok if I email you?
B
There was so much talk that was all over the internet early on with this case about the ex-boyfriend with a restraining order against him. Since then the deafening silence about any ex-boyfriends or any restraining orders against anyone would leave us to believe that would be the person that the family and LE would have been suspecting from the beginning.
I am surprised no one has gotten or maybe been able to get any info on file about a restraining order.
I can only hope that their reasons for not mentioning a name, or a picture, or a drawing or anything makes sense when this is all said and done. I can see them doing that in the hopes that she is still alive and wanting to keep it that way, but it sure makes it hard for anyone locally to be on the lookout for him.
