Holly Bobo Missing: ATV Tire Ads Tied To Case- Search Sets Up Roadblocks- Blink Discuss Case Tonight On Dana Pretzer Show
Parsons,
Mark Gwyn, director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, announced the current reward offered has tripled to $75,000 thanks to a $50,000 commitment from Tennesee Governor Bill Haslam at a press conference yesterday at the command center.
Also during the press conference, Gwyn stated that Clint Bobo, Holly’s brother and witness to her walking into the woods with a man dressed in camo he thought was her boyfriend, was NOT able to provide a description.
..”As you know, at this time, we have one eyewitness, that’s Holly’s brother, and he was not able to give us a description…”… Mark Gwyn, TBI
Yesterday, Holly Bobo’s cousin, Whitney Duncan, appeared on Fox News and Good Morning America, thanking the public and asking folks to keep searching. She also appears to have lost her patience with speculation about her cousin Clint, possibly being not only an eyewitness, but a suspect.
Duncan’s sentiments were echoed by newly appointed family spokesperson Kevin Bromley as he appeared on the Good Morning America Show this morning:
“Clint is a wonderful young man and as a character witness for him, I would rule out any kind of rumors on Clint and the family would feel comfortable with me saying that as well,” said Kevin Bromley, a spokesman for the Bobo family.
The 7th day of the search began again today, at the new command center, The National Guard Armory located at 256 West 9th St, Parsons.
Kristin Helm, spokesperson for TBI announced yesterday they were choosing to move to this location due to the amoung of evidence that has been collected, and their need for enhanced security.
TBI has decided on a new tactic today, as reported by Will Nunley, of WBBJ-TV there is a roadblock set up on Myracle Town Rd and twelve new investigators from TBI have been added to the case this morning. (Editors Note: Nunley has been doing a stellar job in the field on this case, kudos, follow his tweets.)
This investigation is beginning to sound very much like how Canadian Air Force Colonel Russell Williams was nabbed – by a roadblock where the tires on his vehicle were spotted by an eagle-eyed investigator and were visually consistent with tire treads found at the scene of one of the murdered women.
Speaking of tires, www.blinkoncrime.com has uncovered what has been determined to be “materially relevant” to the case of the disappearance of Holly Bobo, by a source inside the investigation speaking to blinkoncrime.com on the condition of anonymity.
While our source will not comment on whether one or both ads are a part of the case or who they might be tied to, the ad from Parsons, appeared at 12:33AM on April 17, before the public was asked to notice who may have replaced tires or cleaned an ATV or vehicle.
Two ATV tire ads, one from Jackson, TN and one from Parsons, TN appeared on Craigslist on April 17, 2011.
As the search perimiters in previous days were located 6 and 8 miles away from Bobo’s home, where items of hers are believed to have been recovered, it begs the question, why would the focus turn to nearly 2 miles away from the Swan Johnson address of the Bobo’s, to Myracle Town Rd, in the opposite direction? Do investigators think the suspect has been trying to send them in the opposite location by planting evidence?
Police are interviewing neighbors in this Myracle Town Rd. and Box Rd. area today, as well as stopping motorists, of which there are very little. A different tactic indeed.
Searches in this rural terrain are daunting to say the least, however, the community outreach and response to requests for assistance has been nothing short of astounding.
While speculation that the suspect responsible for Holly’s disappearance is indeed a member of the very small town of Parson’s, and is well known to Holly and the Bobo family, many close friends of the Bobo’s are participating in searches of their own properties vowing to continue until she is located.
Many long time Decatur County families own large tracts of land near the Bobo residence.
Some of them for generations – including the Todd family, as an example, who owns large tracts in the Myracle Town Rd, Box Rd, and Gilbert Rd area.
Jason Todd, a former schoolmate of Holly Bobo’s as are MANY of Holly’s friends, will unfortunately end up searching for her in each other’s backyards.
The search for Holly Bobo continues, follow my tweets.

What about the high tech devices that “see” through walls with thermal images? Or “hear” through walls? Would these be legal if used by TBI or FBI?
I am HORRIFIED by these parents!
The Anthonys all over again.
What about HOLLY? Can a mediator help?
It seems like if it is a small community there would be mutual friends,
and one of them could persuade the parents to do the right thing.
I do not understand how there can be dissension. There is
only one right thing to do. How could anyone not be on
Holly’s side, regardless of relations, friendships, money….????
I am from a small town and very naive obviously.
So what I am getting is ex boyfriend, possibly on drugs at the time, comes down off high, realizes what he did, family is protecting him, property of family refuses search, belongings scattered to devert police and search.ex boyfriend is attemtpting to be flushed out by road blocks etc? Holly’s family did not realize the extent of danger he was to her, but knew he was causing her problems, but in no way knew this could ever happen! is this the right track? However, I heard exboyfriend was in custody last Monday along with 2-3 friends, and one of them squeled. Evidently no Holly found so far because no charges? Sadly looks like Holly no longer alive.
Do you have any knowledge of a family member having a recent injury and sporting a cast at the time of the alleged abduction?
I am aware of the rumor, yes.
B
Sounds like from Nunley’s tweets that they are closing in on something/someone. I hope this is resolved soon. Bless Holly and her family. And bless all the law enforcement and any others working on this case, including volunteers searching.
If somebody squealed they would have probable cause for a search..
Blink
I work in this town. Do you think he will/would do this again? Are we dealing with a serial killer or someone who was upset at Holly for some reason. This town is so small and close knit. Everyone is devestated, sad, praying and hoping she is found and found alive. Very scarey and words can not describe the sense of helplessness and yet still praying and hoping….
No, no and yes.
B
I am thrilled that in the process of investigating Holly’s case, that other serious offenders are being questioned AND arrested.
A strange little silver lining in a big, black storm cloud.
This article is from April 19th.
I am curious though about the way they worded the first sentence I have posted below. Makes it sound like Holly’s abductor is a sexual predator?
____________________________
Helm also reported that as investigators “run down leads”, it may have serious consequences for other sexual predators in the area, even in cases “unrelated to this one.”
It was confirmed with the TBI spokeswoman that just yesterday, the arrest of Jason Everett Nickell in Madison County came about based on leads that the Bureau had played out while investigating Holly Bobo’s disappearance.
Nickell, a registered sex offender in nearby Benton County, was arrested by the Jackson Police after allegedly stalking two teenage girls on separate occasions in Madison County.
The Dickson County Sheriff’s Office also has pending charges on Nickell for indecency in public, simple assault and attempted kidnapping.
The TBI and the Jackson Police Department were able to coordinate efforts, bringing about the arrest of Nickell.
According to Helm there has been no connection made to Nickell in the Holly Lynn Bobo disappearance.

B what do you make of tonights developments? Would appear to me we are getting closer with some indication of a search around the campus – perhaps the stalking portion of the event and again another search around an old factory as tweeted by Nunley. Not sure where the major find was made but it would seem they may now have found the transfer station or perhaps final stop. Fingers crossed.
As difficult as it is to say this, I do believe the evidence and subsequent investigative info is not good.

B
aww Blink…..I hate to hear that…..but appreciate your candor.
Do you believe someone deliberately gave a false lead? What defines evidence and subsequent info as “not good”?
Saxey-
I so appreciate your diligence.
Please do not take offense if their are questions I cannot or will not answer.
B
That’s my take too. Seems they got a phone tip while simultaneously finding a critical piece of evidence or finding it because of the tip. Searches near her school lead me to believe they’re looking for perp evidence there, maybe her schedule etc.
The second location is a straight shot east from her home and appears to be a defunct concrete plant. Calling in search and rescue along with firefighters leads me to believe they’re expecting the need to search buildings and grounds.
Your feeling is the manner of evidence and the followup to that tip/evidence is leading to a less favorable potential outcome?
Yes, with much respect to Holly and her family, it is.
B
I think they may still have some hope just based on the comments and speed at which they moved tonight but the problem being even if she were left somewhere alive 10 days ago without water it’s not good. Who knows as we still dont know if we’re dealing with 1 or more perps.
What I find interesting tonight is the phone tip leads to searches in the lawn area near her school presumably where someone would stalk her schedule and then at probably the one place someone could easily have transferred someone from one type of vehicle to another…or worse. That said it’s not a straight shot there when things like the lunchbag are taken into account.
Please let this next period of time bring her home. I believe there’s some small chance we’ll find her alive tonight or Monday but I do believe we’re getting very close now to the final solution. I sense you feel the same.
Can you clarify whether your “not good” is in regard to the outcome of the case or the quality of the phone tip/evidence found?
Or is that something you’re choosing to leave deliberately vague?
B said:

B
Of course no offense taken. I am but a guest here due to your generousity and heart.
I was feeling a bit too bold in asking questions. I know the things you can disclose you will share with us without prompting. And at the same time, you must exercise restraint to preserve the integrity of the investigation.
But I do hope you can vent and download with SOMEone especially in a case like this where signs are pointing towards a dreadful ending. Knowing awful things and feeling helpless to change the outcome has got to take a toll.
Please take good care of yourself Blink…not just physically, but emotionally too.
That is very kind, thank you.
B
starshadow in my words – I just meant any person left without water for more than 3-5 days won’t do well. I was speaking in general.
The numbers are pretty solid in that abductions at this time range rarely end with a victim returning alive. BUT there are cases that it does happen.
Up here we had a missing man from a few weeks ago. They found his car near a cemetery. They searched all around for days, no sign of him. Last week they found him a mile away from the car in the original search area. I have a suspicion that they will find her not far from where they’ve already searched.
News conference supposedly this morning. I really hope it’s positive news.
This is the first time I have read this about the duct tape and blond hair so I am sharing:
Some of that key evidence includes the 20-year-old nursing student’s lunch box found miles from her home. The other evidence being analyzed was found in the woman’s driveway and includes blood on the ground and duct tape with blond hair stuck to it.

if the rumor is true to what they found i i don[t know how that is a significant piece of evidence
This article identifies the location of the find, but not the item. http://www.jacksonsun.com/article/20110425/NEWS25/104250317/Authorities-New-leads-propel-search-Holly-Bobo?odyssey=nav|head

TBI spokeswoman Kristin Helm said investigators are “pretty sure” the item found in the ongoing search belongs to Bobo but it’s not certain it will help.
another article link on item found: says item was found on the side of the road:
http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/04/25/us-tennessee-bobo-idUSTRE73O3Y920110425
Blink, are you hearing the search is going to be called off soon? I’m seeing some locals saying this online and am wondering if it’s accurate.
The item is rumored to be a cell phone and the reason it “may not be of help” is the SIM card is missing. Someone is providing them with tips but wonder if they are planting the evidence or trying to help or perhaps both? They possibly know of the crime and “who” but can not/will not directly turn them in.(alot of family ties I assume) I feel they are closing in but wish it was alot sooner. Anything new?
I have not found the idenity of the item. Having found it along the side of the road suggests it was thrown from a moving vehicle and of course a form of communication is not something that the culprit would want the victim to have in there posetion. But it could be anything including jewelry or clothing as we have seen various items thrown from vehicles in abduction cases.
In recent cases..
Kristi Cornwell …HER phone found on a lawn.
Morgan.. HER shirt found on bushes..not sure if it was thrown of placed.
just saying..It could be anything.
One thing.. It appears that there is a licensed road worthy vehicle involved and cameras from homes, businesses and public places should be investigated. People who traveled on that road in the time period in question should be thinking back for unusual situations that they may have discounted before.
Twitter from Fox13 news says their reporter was told it was a cell phone
I am aware that LE have already obtained security tapes from surrounding businesses and this was early on in the case.
The SIM card missing – the geolocation data is stored on the phone itself. The SIM card just identifies/locks the phone to a network in most cases. If the perp thought removing the SIM card was going to save him….
Ive been keeping up with developments on Holly’s search and praying for her, her family, whatever family is witholding info and to all of the searchers. Please stay strong.
From my observations (out of state) it seems that TBI and others know whats up but obviously cant say anything (for good reason). Which leads me to wonder which family it is.
IMO, all of the criticism on the family regarding the proceeds from tshirts, is kinda crazy. When I read that, I read it as a mother thinking positive that they wont need more $ for the search because they’ll bring her home soon and alive. And that they’ll be able to spoil her when she gets back alive.
I always hate it when people criticize family members during times like these.
If it were me and my daughter or any family member was missing like this, you bet some bizarro words would come out of my mouth. Id be speaking jibberish and likely be heavily medicated (not saying her family is) but I WOULD BE TAKING VALUM.
Anyhow, I am simply baffled by which family is not cooperating.
To whoever the family is (if you’re reading this, which it is very likely you are- because you want to keep up with what LE is finding out)
-The longer you wait this out, the worse it is going to be. Whoever you are protecting is unprotectable. Holly has over 17,000 followers on her Help Find Holly Facebook page.
This isnt something that is just going to go away. Be honest with yourself and face the truth.
In the end, once the truth comes to light (which it will)…you’re just making yourself look worse and worse.
Missing 20 year old’s car found running with flashers on, door open and toddler inside. Mother is nowhere to be found.

Blink, can you identify any attorneys and/or their client(s) that are related to this case? Also, could you comment on criminal law as it pertains to relatives being charged as accessories to a crime? Thanks for the public service by you and associates. We owe you much.
Poppy-
to my knowledge, there are no charges pending for any person relative to this disappearance, so how could I possibly?

So what are we potentially dealing with then–that a person actually phoned Holly’s Mom and tipped her off on where to find Holly’s phone?
So many things ran through my mind upon hearing that.
I remember Will’s tweet yesterday that Holly’s Mom called LE with a message. So that must have been what he was referring to?
It is.
B
This article states that the most recent discovery of evidence was her cell phone. However, nobody in the investigation will confirm that rumor.

I agree Capp I think she was incorrect. She even said it was confirmed. Was the blood on the carport or In the garage? I think from what have gathered from reading comments from people close (or say theirclose to the case) say it was a small amount of blood on the carport was that right??
And what about the car and camo clothing found, that was rumor too? What I gather about yesterdays finding is Hollys mom called LE.. le said tip from a call and I hear there rumors from that vol website say a cell phone was found. Do you know if its true or not?
We don’t know the number that was called and Caller ID is blockable. The technology exists that one can really make a call from any “number” one wants. Not saying that is the case here, just saying we should be careful to form conclusions.
Holly’s cell was found at the Tri City Cement Plant due to a tip received by Karen Bobo via phone, that she in turn gave to LE.
It is missing the SIM card.
B
It is me and that is accurrate.
B
Why would anyone call Holly’s mother to report finding a phone at a deserted location? This is getting confusing. Wouldn’t a searcher deal directly with authorities?
What is deserted?
B
Info on the SIM card and GPS.
http://www.ehow.com/list_6945354_uses-sim-card-gps.html
Interesting that mom recieved such a call. It really opens up the mind to what might be possible. Lets hope LE is able to use ALL of what has just occured in there efforts to find Holly.
Oops. Please don’t post last post. I thought you were being impersonated on SM. Just started reading there.
What is deserted?
B
Maybe I’m getting my wires crossed…I thought I read the phone was recovered at a deserted factory. Trying to backtrack and find that source. It appears it was found on the side of the road. My error.
@ TR–the Eaton Concrete plant being discussed yesterday IS deserted, but the Tri City Cement Plant where Holly’s phone was actually found–is a functioning plant with employees.
From other sites, locals have reported that the Eaton plant has been vacant for years. Here is the info on the Tri City Concrete plant that happens to be ON Eaton St and is still an operating business.
Tri County Concrete Products
100 Eaton St
Parsons, TN 38363
————————–
The concrete plant is deserted. I work near it, this just keeps getting stranger. Looks like all people at Fairgrounds where the Local police and TV stations were, are all packed up. 3 TV vans there when I went by and that is it. This is just more strange to me as time passes. Are they close perhaps to resolution?
Blink, are you trying to confuse us? Ok I step away to cook a fast bite for my husband and things start popping…not here…but that is ok since it is all in the family. I take it are perp who is probably not a master criminal kept the sims card because he knows that he and Holly had been in very recent, probably texting, contact. I am sure those text are very interesting. When her brother, mother or boyfriend starting calling him he took out the card and tossed the phone. Maybe he thought the battery in the phone is what can be traced by GPS. Hopefully the can get those records pronto. The mother’s call has me stumped. I can not come up with any reason she would know of a tip unless a family member of the perp privately contacted her. Possible. O how I wish that this person really was in love with Holly and has here somewhere alive waiting to come home. I am praying tonight that she is returned alive to her family and wonderful community.
@Zeus Thanks for clarifying that. I did indeed get the two places mixed up.
Please excuse my misspellings in above post. Hopefully the grammar police are not reading.
I found this article today. Link is below.
Even though LE has not released the info about Holly’s phone being found-it is being written about in many places and Blink has also said that this info is true-so I feel confidant this is an accurate piece of news.
______________________________________________
Reportedly, the cell phone was located on side of the road on Hwy. 69 in Parsons, near Holly’s father’s place of employment, as well as Kolpack, a nearby factory, and the Tennessee Technology Center, where Holly was attending school.

this is getting odd who would know karen’s bobo’s phone number to call and give her a tip to the cell phone reports are they found the sim card which i don’t know why it really matters if they found the phone anyways unless its got the perps picture on it or their trying to say the perp works at that plant or she was taken there to be disposed of why aren;t the parents out looking anyhow i can understand not talking but why aren;t they looking this is getting confusing
Do they really not know who is responsible for this??? Please please say they do!
Blink, do you think there’s any chance she’s still alive? As this case gets weirder tonight I feel maybe there’s a smidge more hope but I don’t know.
I certainly hope so, but sadly, no that is not my belief.

No problem TR! I got it all confused too until I read on the Scared Monkeys site and some locals cleared it up!

Exactly..
Somebody was able to dial her because it was in the list of phone numbers that Holly saved.. “MOM” but why would they call her ? Why not just throw that phone in a river and be done with it?
So strange that I have to consider that Holly could very well be alive.
