Holly Bobo Missing And Endangered: Are Suspects Naming Themselves- Odd Dodd?

Darden, TN–

On the eve of the 4 week anniversary of missing Darden, TN nursing student, Holly Bobo, new investigative details are being learned about the case. Two unofficial persons of interest have taken their case “public” in a way.

While blinkoncrime.com was aware of this information, a decision was made to withhold it in the interests of the cases “active” status previously.

That was, until today, when one of the known person’s of interests in Holly’s disappearance, outed himself publicly.

Jonathan Dodd, son of Bradley Grafton Dodd, and Dena Logan Dodd, chose the Parsons topix forum to “defend” himself against what he termed “death threats”.

Blink, Editor In Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com, was able to confirm the poster on the topix forum was indeed, Jon Dodd.

Speaking exclusively to www.blinkoncrime on the condition of anonymity, an extended family member of the Dodd family, sheds more light on Master Dodd’s claims.

“.. Yes, that is definitely him. I have no idea how he can say he does not know the Bobo family, he went to Scotts Hill with Holly for a short time. Karen Bobo, Holly’s Mom, worked for Grafton Dodd, his grandfather, when he was the principle of the Parson’s junior High when it was still there, Brad and Grafton are on the school board, there is no way that is true what is said.

Jon Dodd High School List From His myspace

When he is saying something was stolen from the property, he is talking about the ATV you wrote about before, when I saw that, I knew you were aware of him.   Sandy  called the sheriffs department before she knew that Holly was missing to report that their ATV was stolen. Sandy is also the cheer leading coach at Riverside High, since forever, and she got into some minor trouble a few years back because she got caught rigging the tryouts. Nothing major, but everyone knew about it. Dena, his Mom, was a teacher at Riverside shortly after he got transferred, which is weird again.

Everyone in this family has been covering for Jon since he was a kid. I could not believe when he stabbed Brad with a scissors when he was about 8 1/2, there was a big cover up. Last year Dena moved to Gwinnett County because the grands let him get away with anything. He has a baby with Shelby Sellers and nobody really even knew about that until after.

Jon went to the great-grandparents for a while in Arab, Ala in 2006 after the girl was killed in the car accident that got his ass beat up when he said she deserved it, and again, nobody said a word. Brad and Dena started up that Boy Scouts thing for him and (redacted by blink).

What is he talking about? What does donate DNA mean? O that is totally him, I can tell by the “I get paid to hunt” or whatever. Speaking of hunting, the abandoned cabin that volunteers found, when Grafton was told, was when he refused permission for any other searches and they got a warrant. Grafton and Sandy were seen removing a mattress from that part of the property, the one they found in the place where the outhouses were used recently. (redacted) saw him in WalMart, he looked at her and said he did not do it, I swear. Really scary.

He (Jon) did not donate DNA, it was taken from him in the parking lot of Tuckers Diner, he did not have a choice. The LE came there and showed some papers. Grafton’s was taken too, but I don’t know were, I heard it was at the area of the Pugh property, by that Shayne Austin’s parents house.

Another doozie…”

The X Factor

A former boyfriend of Holly Bobo’s, Blake Barnett, is also doing nothing to avoid being scrutinized. It is clear from his facebook postings that he is aware of his “celebrity”, and that folks following this case, are reading.

While it does not make him a bad guy, we have confirmed that he has had a background of  alleged violence, in a former relationship with Holly Bobo.

He was the first name utttered by Holly Bobo’s parents, Dana and Karen, when they learned of her abduction.

That said, there is no known evidence linking Mr. Barnett to Holly’s disappearance.

Barnett is no stranger to violence, unfortunately, Blake, his brother and sister lost their parents Timothy and Janice in a brutal murder in 1993.

John Robinson, with actus reus assistance from his wife Kimberly, murdered both of the Barnett’s because they were after him for bounced checks.

Amelia, Blake’s little sister, was left in her crib for 48 hours before police found her while looking for the Barnett’s.  She survived.

There have been no official suspects or persons of interest named in the disappearance of Holly Bobo in 4 weeks.

There has not been a LE update to her case since May 2.

The search effort for Holly Bobo continues.

My heart goes out to the Bobo Family. I have heard very conflicting stories from locals. Everyone wants Holly to be alive, everyone. I here that contrary to talk they are seen in town and the cattle gate was put up for privacy no ulterior reason. Hollys disappearence has shook the community up. Its hard to understand a small town when your not from one. TBI had a reason to stop the searches, they didnt just “give up.” Now whether you believe she was found or still missing doesnt have to change the reason to call off the search. It sounds ridiculous and if she is still missing then it is heartwhrenting. If TBI felt the searches were hampering the investigation of the local suspects then they are stuck and have to make a call. Things can become very volitole in a small town when people of influence and trust are linked to something like this. Let me put it like this, probable cause doesnt cut it and arresting someone who has access to influence and trust in the community without a rock solid case is not only create a extremely hostile enviornment but also possibly setting someone up for the chance to get away with the crime. When I say influence I dont necessarly mean money. There is a lot more influence in positions of trust and authority.

I think Constance has said some very insightful things here. Everything seemes to have changed after the significant find on Easter. Whatever happened that day changed the whole investigative process. Searches were called off, basically. It has been suggested that Holly’s cell phone was found that day…proably was. I believe it was reported by LE that this was due to a phone tip. It has also been said that Karen was the recipient of that tip. So…someone called Holly’s mom with this tip. This tip was said to have brought the Bobo’s relief. Karen Bobo actually sent out a public statement thanking the community for their help. Without this phone tip the find(possilbly cell phone) probably wouldn’t have happened. Is it possible that the Bobo’s or LE actually spoke with the perp(s) that day? Maybe there was a message for them on the phone from Holly letting them know she was still alive and OK. I absolutely believe all the evidence found so far in this case has been planted. I believe these people are local and they will be caught. It’s important for all of us to lean on our faith in times like this. We will continue to pray for Holly ans especially her family…how painful this must be. Trusting God will help us all in this matter.

  4. constance says:

My belief is that the find on Easter was NOT as important as LE hoped it would be…I think they jumped the gun, so to speak, by saying it could be vital.

I think the searching stopped because they have no specific leads or reason to search one part of the county more than another part.

I am stuck on the fact that we are being told that Holly’s dad is searching on his own and do not believe he is searching for her keys, purse etc…he is searching for his daughter, in my opinion, because they are at a loss as to what happened to her.

I don’t know why her family isn’t vocal in asking for help, keeping Holly’s face on the front page, etc…I just hope it does not turn out to be poor decision to keep so quiet. Memories fade fast.

LE always says “there is someone out there who knows”-of course there is, the person who did it knows. And they always say “we are one clue away”- all unsolved cases are one clue away. So none of that means anything to me.

I’m at the point were i’m losing care for this case, if the family, shows so little care to kept this case in the media spot light, even to just give a thank you interview to the local outlet, which they have been ask to do so, why should I/we care, it sounds like, they know who did this, and are waiting for a break, at this point, i think she is onlonger alived.
    It’s either

    1. Ex-boyfriend
    2. Someone she meet somewere, she was stalk, and kidnap.

  6. Billy says:

Constance…again I go back to Easter Sunday. Isn’t it believed that the finding was due to a phone tip? In other words, without that phone tip they never would have found her phone or whatever they found that day. That means they heard from someone that was involved, correct? To me that is very significant because it tells me that the searchers were getting too close and the perps wanted them to be redirected. So as of Easter Holly was still with us, probably. Is it believed by the locals that some of their own are responsible? Could it be possible that the unofficial original 3 poi’s are indeed responsible and have so far have gotten away with it? It is hard to believe that everybody knows who did this and it’s not even being talked about out of fear. If that is the case it’s a very sad situation.

Loosing care in this case or any case is what any perp or perps wants you to do. The less someone cares the more they feel they got away with it. Sometimes you got to keep missing person cases in the spotlight even if the le isn’t going to. just my two cents

  8. Michigan says:

I don’t see why the phone or for that matters, any of the things they found, has not give any clues to who did this, it looks like all the things were planted, unless they have DNA or finger prints, which should have led them to arest, i go back to Clint account of what he seen, a tall man in camo, 6′ 200 lbs, who fits this profile, why LE, don’t come out and say who they have ruled out, tells me they know something, very importain, and are wating for the break in the case, the family would not be looking for her in the woods if they think she still alive. The stats that she is still alive are not good.

  9. Michigan says:

And having said that, not even Blink has come out and said anything new, so Blink, for those of us losing interest in this case because, no one’s talking, what do you think is going on, need a update about what you think????????????????

  10. constance says:

The phone tip could be anyone who happened across the phone, if that is what was found, and so they called it in. I am sure lots of people were out searching on their own, I don’t believe it had to be someone involved. It could even have been a hiker or hunter.

I think the item proved to be of little or no help in finding Holly or determining who took her. I think maybe her parents were intially glad that something new was found and that it would lead to Holly, but I think it is clear that has not happened. That week became a week of terrible storms in TN, calling of searches in any case and then the trail was cold, as it still seems to be.

  11. Cindy says:

Holly Bobo’s abduction is more than a tragedy. It’s gut-wrenching to follow as no news of her whereabouts or leads to find her have been found only speculation and rumors keep this on our radar. I know that cases aren’t wrapped on in an hour as we become used to on tv. But, the lack of visibility by her family and forthcoming information and updates by LE is saddening and will eventually lead to another cold case.

  12. Cnog says:

    To Constance,
Have you ready any of the posts/comments Blink has made? I’m just curious why you are so dead set on saying that none of the tips/evidence the LE has released, means anything? Some things you say are in direct opposition to Blink. Are you from Parsons? Do you know something that we don’t?

  13. Bonnie says:

Can anyone confirm that there is still a police presence providing protection at the Bobo’s residence? The police presence is interesting to me…

  14. constance says:

No I am not from Parsons…what am I ignoring? Did LE come out and say they found her phone? And that it was an accomplice who called it in?

Her phone was recovered, and that is not the only item belonging to her.

    ____

Wow! This is great news…maybe some evidence was recovered with the phone/other items? Maybe that evidence indicated that Holly was at that point still alive? That would explain the reported hope that her family felt after the ‘significant piece’ of evidence was found, and the apparent change in the direction of the investigation.
    Thanks for breaking the silence.

  16. Jane says:

What evidence could have been recovered that would indicate Holly was still alive?

  17. jeff says:

I think the signifcant piece of evidence is the fact someone called her mother. They told her mother where to find the phone was my understanding. They also said other evidence was found but didn’t disclose that piece of evidence. So maybe the way it was found was the significants of it. Just my two se

  20. Cindy says:

I admit I’m a closet sleuth and not a very good one, but I’ve been reading everything I can about this case and today I finally read something that made sense. Can anyone confirm that Clint normally parks his car in the driveway, but the night before the kidnapping, he parked in the garage and pulled the door down because there were storm warnings in the area? If this is true, it would make sense that the perp(s) did not know he was home as they had planned on him being gone since his car was not in the driveway.

  21. Sunflower32 says:

“Was not call, but a text, and I agree wholeheartedly.

From Holly’s phone? You still think this is a murder by a LE taunter, or might this just be a small town girl running off to start a new life?

Was the text KB received meant to mess with her head or for some other reason? If you can say……

Come on blink throw us a bone, down to a handful of post per day, we can not give up on Holly. Would like to hear something from your perspective instead of our clueless guessing game.

  25. jeff says:

Holly’s mom got a text from holly’s phone is my guess. My question is what did the text say. I am sure they traced the phone and found it that way. They also found the phone two weeks later in town. So that means they were in town for at least two weeks with holly or not with holly. I can see why they think its a local perp or perps now. just my two cents

  26. Cindy says:

Well, I was hoping that today being 10 weeks missing that something or someone would break this case wide open. Nothing since the text message, Pray for Holly and her family as this case grows cold.

  27. Becca says:

    The Text:

The only way the text could be taken as true is if it was a picture. Otherwise how could it change the whole direction? How could it have been taken as true and stopped searches? Words can be lies, pictures don’t lie. Holly’s mother, as a result of the “significant find”, was said to be relieved.

The only thing I can think is a picture with Holly and the day’s newspaper.

My only thought though, seems far fetched.

  28. Cindy says:

I read a statement that Holly Bobo’s family is being interviewed this afternoon by WBBJ TV station – ABC affiliate – must be a local news channel as I’m not from the area – to be shown at 6:00 and 10:00 tonight. Does anyone know if this is true?

  29. Jay says:

    @ Cindy

Yes, I’ve heard the same thing. That is a local Jackson, TN station.

  30. Jane says:

#27-Even so, Holly w/that day’s paper, doesn’t reel us forward to today. Could there also have been some type of threat towards the family. I would think either case would really get law enforcement moving. Why aren’t they?

  34. Kim says:

Cindy – regarding Clint’s car. Don’t know how that could be accurate about his car in the garage. If you look at all the pictures of the home and area around the home…there is no enclosed garage. There is a carport area in the back of the home where Holly was taken from.

  35. Jane says:

So, there will be “new eyes” looking at this case. I’m curious what the heck took so long for LE to think they needed “new eyes”. I think this is now so cold, we’ll never know what happened to Holly Bobo. I hope I’m wrong. Prayers for her and family and friends.

  36. perplexed says:

I spoke with someone whose family member had been missing for three years. When new eyes were put on the case, an arrest was made within three months. It is not easy to investigate a case like this, especially under the pressure of being under the microscope. The placement of “new eyes” does not necessarily reflect poorly on the previous investigators. When I write a paper, I have to leave it for a few hours or sometimes even days to edit out my mistakes. The “new eyes” will be able to take a fresh look at the investigation without the fatigue and saturation the previous eyes are experiencing. Let’s hope for the best.

  37. jeff says:

I hope the news eyes are not from the same agency with the same eyes. Didn’t seem like the old eyes had very much going on in this case. Just my two cents

  38. jeff says:

    oops that supposed to say

I hope the news eyes are not from the same agency with the old eyes.

  39. Harleycolt says:

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why LE cannot find out who did this. Kyron Horman, Haliegh Cummings now Holly Bobo…nothing, not a word….just goes cold.

  40. jeff says:

The lunchbox was found after they already searched the area where it was found. So if someone was planting evidence they would of had to come back after the searches were done. They must have known these area’s pretty well to come back in the dark and place evidence there. Either that or they lived close by to where she was abducted and sat in their house waiting til the searches were done. I really think someone who lived close by did this easier to access a atv or a vehicle also plant evidence later. Not to mention she was led into the woods by him which was just that, I think the real crime took place later with whomever he took her for.

  41. Jane says:

#40 Why do you say “whomever he took her for?

  42. jeff says:

    Jane

I say that because I think more then one person was involved. I think someone came up there for a family member or friend to get her. The other person probley never left his house or wherever he was. They probley were close to the bobos,so they would know everything about them to pull off this crime. Its just my theory Jane.

  43. Cindy says:

#40, #41, #42 – I agree that more than one person was involved and that someone came and got Holly for someone else. As she didn’t seem alarmed at first but then screamed when she probably realized too late that she was trapped unaware. Two or more friends or cousins, brothers, together planned this and others (probably family members experienced in cover-ups) helped plant evidence and cleaned-up and shut-up after the fact. JMHO.

Yup. Claiming you didn’t do it and having an alibi doesn’t mean you didn’t have anything to do with it. Also doesn’t mean you won’t be found guilty… people don’t just disappear. She will be found and those involved will be held responsible.

  45. Edward says:

    Thanks for posting the video.
That interview gave us no help and no hope. They know absolutley nothing and one more thing, LE is full of crap with their comment. If they do not know who this is then they “LE” have no idea where Holly is and she could be on the other side of the world by now..

People need to look out for that little brother for years to come for his mental health.

I think the tbi gave the bobo’s bad advice from the start of this case. I wonder if the family is now talking because of the new eyes put on the case. Hopefully the new eyes can get their daughter home to them. just my two cents

  47. chris says:

I really have nothing new to add, but after watching some of the TV reports of the bike ride, the “interview” with the family, and some other articles that were written recently…..the fact that TBI has “no reason to believe Holly has left West TN” perplexes me. In order for TBI to state that, and for the father/friends to still be searching nearby tells me that they have info related to these facts, but they have not released it. I’ve thought all along, that the easiest route for escape would be straight up to I-40 and then west. You’re out of TN in less than two hours, before the searches even started. Also, the fact they still have not brought in the FBI, (as in the Lauren Spierer case) means they have info that leads them to believe that the perp/Holly never left the state, but they haven’t released ANYTHING that speaks to those facts. Anyway, it’s just another “mystery” within the “mystery” of this case that jumps out at me as very unusual…..

  48. jeff says:

    chris

I believe they do have suspects based on the interviews they probley have conducted. I just think its hard to release that info when you don’t have a lot of evidence to back it up. There is just a lot of confusing info in this case that is throwing people up. Its very had to put togather what exactly happend but I am sure it well come out sooner or later. Just my two cents.
