Holly Bobo Missing And Endangered: Are Suspects Naming Themselves- Odd Dodd?

Darden, TN–

On the eve of the 4 week anniversary of missing Darden, TN nursing student, Holly Bobo, new investigative details are being learned about the case. Two unofficial persons of interest have taken their case “public” in a way.

While blinkoncrime.com was aware of this information, a decision was made to withhold it in the interests of the cases “active” status previously.

That was, until today, when one of the known person’s of interests in Holly’s disappearance, outed himself publicly.

Jonathan Dodd, son of Bradley Grafton Dodd, and Dena Logan Dodd, chose the Parsons topix forum to “defend” himself against what he termed “death threats”.

Blink, Editor In Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com, was able to confirm the poster on the topix forum was indeed, Jon Dodd.

Speaking exclusively to www.blinkoncrime on the condition of anonymity, an extended family member of the Dodd family, sheds more light on Master Dodd’s claims.

“.. Yes, that is definitely him. I have no idea how he can say he does not know the Bobo family, he went to Scotts Hill with Holly for a short time. Karen Bobo, Holly’s Mom, worked for Grafton Dodd, his grandfather, when he was the principle of the Parson’s junior High when it was still there, Brad and Grafton are on the school board, there is no way that is true what is said.

Jon Dodd High School List From His myspace

When he is saying something was stolen from the property, he is talking about the ATV you wrote about before, when I saw that, I knew you were aware of him.   Sandy  called the sheriffs department before she knew that Holly was missing to report that their ATV was stolen. Sandy is also the cheer leading coach at Riverside High, since forever, and she got into some minor trouble a few years back because she got caught rigging the tryouts. Nothing major, but everyone knew about it. Dena, his Mom, was a teacher at Riverside shortly after he got transferred, which is weird again.

Everyone in this family has been covering for Jon since he was a kid. I could not believe when he stabbed Brad with a scissors when he was about 8 1/2, there was a big cover up. Last year Dena moved to Gwinnett County because the grands let him get away with anything. He has a baby with Shelby Sellers and nobody really even knew about that until after.

Jon went to the great-grandparents for a while in Arab, Ala in 2006 after the girl was killed in the car accident that got his ass beat up when he said she deserved it, and again, nobody said a word. Brad and Dena started up that Boy Scouts thing for him and (redacted by blink).

What is he talking about? What does donate DNA mean? O that is totally him, I can tell by the “I get paid to hunt” or whatever. Speaking of hunting, the abandoned cabin that volunteers found, when Grafton was told, was when he refused permission for any other searches and they got a warrant. Grafton and Sandy were seen removing a mattress from that part of the property, the one they found in the place where the outhouses were used recently. (redacted) saw him in WalMart, he looked at her and said he did not do it, I swear. Really scary.

He (Jon) did not donate DNA, it was taken from him in the parking lot of Tuckers Diner, he did not have a choice. The LE came there and showed some papers. Grafton’s was taken too, but I don’t know were, I heard it was at the area of the Pugh property, by that Shayne Austin’s parents house.

Another doozie…”

The X Factor

A former boyfriend of Holly Bobo’s, Blake Barnett, is also doing nothing to avoid being scrutinized. It is clear from his facebook postings that he is aware of his “celebrity”, and that folks following this case, are reading.

While it does not make him a bad guy, we have confirmed that he has had a background of  alleged violence, in a former relationship with Holly Bobo.

He was the first name utttered by Holly Bobo’s parents, Dana and Karen, when they learned of her abduction.

That said, there is no known evidence linking Mr. Barnett to Holly’s disappearance.

Barnett is no stranger to violence, unfortunately, Blake, his brother and sister lost their parents Timothy and Janice in a brutal murder in 1993.

John Robinson, with actus reus assistance from his wife Kimberly, murdered both of the Barnett’s because they were after him for bounced checks.

Amelia, Blake’s little sister, was left in her crib for 48 hours before police found her while looking for the Barnett’s.  She survived.

There have been no official suspects or persons of interest named in the disappearance of Holly Bobo in 4 weeks.

There has not been a LE update to her case since May 2.

The search effort for Holly Bobo continues.

It never changes for me, I suppose it never will. I can’t understand how a person can be walked to their death. Various cases where I have seen this happen. I have no idea why this happens and it will perplex me forever. I imagine She was probably trying to save her brothers life. “Come with me quietly or I will kill your family” but who really knows. Only Holly knows, and we may never know now. The finding of the phone really gave me hope and as time passes I realize it was false hope.

  8. chris says:

I’m with Edward…..the only thing I can believe (if she did not run away on her own volition) is that she was either lured away to “help” someone else she “knew,” or her family was threatened if she didn’t comply with the perp’s demands. If the timeline is true (and she wasn’t actually missing the night before)….. Nothing else makes sense.

I think the whole text thing was just to throw the investigators off. However it does tell me that whomever must have stayed in town or around town while the searches were going on. I also think where the phone was discarded shows the perp probley works around that area. just my two cents

  13. first-time says:

Imagine her Mother’s feelings when that text came through and she saw Holly’s phone number come up. Ugh. This perp is into torture, apparently. Only a very evil person would do this to a parent.

  15. Kim says:

Here are my thoughts on learning Holly’s mom received a text from Holly’s phone and the change in events since then.
Maybe it was actually Holly texting her mother. Think about it. If you’d been kidnapped and were able to get your hands on your cell phone for the shortest amount of time and had to be discreet, you wouldn’t call someone because you’d be heard. But you can text and possibly not be seen. And contacting her mother is the most obvious choice she would make. When the text was received LE could have immediately put a trace on the cell signal hoping to locate her. Unfortunately, her actions of texting were probably found out and the phone was discarded immediately. This type of scenario could be what has lead LE to believe she was still in the area. And if, in her text message she was able to relay information about her abductor(s) this could lead to LE having POI in mind and watching their every move. If they’ve been watching him/them LE would know if this person(s) has/has not traveled out of town/county/state lending more to the belief she is still “in the area”. This could also explain one reason why the public searches were haulted. Don’t want people unknowingly ruining evidence or the POI participating and purposly ruining or planting evidence. And if LE knows who the POI is they would want to lessen the pressure being felt by that person by calling off the searches and waiting for him/them to slip up or lead them to her. But this obviously didn’t work and it has put them back to square one in trying to locate her.
This scenario is completely MO only but the more I’ve thought about it the more it, or something similar, makes sense.

    “Was from Holly’s phone.
    B”

Was it allegedly from Holly herself or is that known? If someone wanted to let the family know that the phone was there, but wanted to do so anonymously, doing it from Holly’s phone would accomplish that. Of course, it would be very upsetting for the family, but it sure would be anonymous that way.

Was it possible it was Holly but she was taken further away/harmed after that because the perp caught her doing that?

  18. zeus says:

I am confused about the finding of Holly’s phone on or about April 24. That was 11 days after she was abducted. My cell phone barely keeps a charge for three days, let alone 11, so how did someone text on Holly’s phone that long after?

I know that you can put in another phones battery, but only if the phones match. In my family we have four phones on our plan and none of them match, nor would we be able to interchange the batteries if we needed to.

Now maybe Holly had her phone charger with her and the abductor kept her phone charged for some reason–but that sounds iffy at best.

From what I have read on this issue, interchanging batteries would not work between most phones, unless a lot of people have one particular phone brand/model in common in that area.

So what do you guys think about the cell phone issue and how it stayed charged for 11 days after Holly was taken?

  19. Cindy says:

    No. 18
Is it possible that the sim card was switched from one phone to another and that it “physically” wasn’t Holly’s phone but still showed up as her phone number?

  20. michvhf says:

Dunno what kind of fone she has/had but if it was capable of being tracked, the first thing whomever took her should’ve done is turned the fone off. Off it should hold a charge for easily 2 weeks.

  21. jeff says:

    zeus

I think if the phone was off for 11 days it would keep its charge from non-use. I too thought it could be holly texting her mother but in that case why wouldn’t you text the name of the perp. They found the phone on the side of the road so if it was Holly did she text from a car or was it a text from some kind of prison the perp had her in. I think blink said a while back this was an offensive move by the perp to get the searches out of an area of interest. just my two cents

  22. jeff says:

    zeus

My theory is the perp or perps were moving her around. I think the perp or perps where trying to stay ahead of the searches so they kept moving her. This is why I think evidence was ending up in odd places after the area was already searched. I think if one of the searchers stumbled upon holly these perps or perp would have turned violent. Thats why I think someone with some kind of search and rescue or le background may have been involved. Just my two cents

I think your looking for someone who has a personal grudge against holly that she wronged in the past. This crime to me seems a little personal with some revenge to it. Just my two cents

  25. MandyVZ says:

does anyone else remember a case some years back where a father decided to kidnap a “mountain bride” so his son would not go off to find someone and get married and leave his father behind? I saw it on an episode of notorious or american justice. IIRC, they took her hostage while she was either hiking or jogging along a path, took her hostage, kept her on the move as much as possible but did not make an attempt on her life. Father conceived the plan and son went along but some time later, possibly years, came around that it was totally wrong. Cant recall if he was a reluctant or enthusiastic participant at the time. This case has been on my mind since the start of holly’s case. In the first case, it was a premditated crime but vicitm was of opportunity and the captivity did not go on as long whereas this is clearly a premeditated and pre chosen victim but otherwise…. Gotta look up the specs on the other case.

  26. MandyVZ says:

it was the 1984 case of kari swenson, an olympic cross-country athlete who was kidnapped by don and dan nichols. She was only captive for 18 hours before someone stumbled into their camp. The men panicked and killed the interloper and accidentally shot kari in the lung and left her– she was chained to a tree but was released from her bonds– she survived but her would be savior did not. There was a huge manhunt for them that lasted 5 months before they were apprehended without a single shot fired. This was in montana but it has really tugged at my mind from the beginning of the bobo case.

    _______________________________________________________

Edward, I tend to think not, because usually the only weirdos who do things like that are mentally whacked and part of some cult-like religion. I believe that is what happened with Elizabeth Smart. I don’t typically see hillbillies as falling into that category, but I could be wrong! JMHO

This has been discussed on here before, but SIM cards can be moved from one phone to another, provided they are the same kind of phone. I’ve done it when I got a new phone. SIM cards are what have the phone number in them. So you could take the SIM card, stick it in another phone, and text away.

  29. chris says:

Again, just reading some of the theories on here which are intriguing….it made me wonder, what if the text to her mom simply said, “Holly’s dead,” and it was made from her phone as proof that it was from the perp. That may explain why the searches were almost immediately called off (if I remember correctly), but may also explain why the family continues to search the area themselves. Of course, it doesn’t necessarily explain why TBI didn’t make some type of announcement unless it was to wait in hopes of the perp slipping up. Again….just thinking out loud.

  30. chris says:

….and I guess it would not explain why the family’s interviews continue to say they “just want her home safely….” Although that can have a variety of meanings under these circumstances.

Does anyone think this family should become more proactive “vocally” in their hunt for their daughter? I believe that they’ve done what they were told to do by LE. My concern is that public interest will whane and once that happens it’s hard to keep the media interested. IMO LE needs all the tips that they can get to smoke the perps and their accomplices out.

    ————————————————————————-

Cindy, I agree that they should be more proactive vocally, but we don’t know why LE has told them, if they have, to stay quiet. It may be for their own safety, but since nothing is happening, I wish they’d say something. I wish LE would talk more. LE staying quiet in Kyron’s case doesn’t seem to be helping it at all and that seems to be true for Holly’s case as well.

Blink, any chance this is tied to Lauren Spierer’s case or is the thought still that Holly’s abductor is a local?

Are you sure were talking one bad guy or three bad guys. I think there was more then one person involved. I am sure there is going to be an outcome its just not going to be what the family wants. Holly’s ex-boyfriend’s father works at a marina in the area as does the son, LB, which may be near the Tennessee River. I don’t know if I have all the facts, but just reviewing some past statements. Could his father been his alibi for his whereabouts during this crime and if so, isn’t that questionable? MOO.

  42. Edward says:

Jeff, there could be multiple players. But when there is more then one evetually the truth may come out.
“3 People can keep a secret if 2 are dead”

I have no idea what this family or LE is thinking. In my mind Holly could still be alive if, she was walked off by somebody who had intension of inprisonment for purpose unknown. She could be held and by now suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

IF it was my daughter and I even thought the ex had anything to do with it, he would be disappeared and I would get the answer. What is my life going to be worth after a devistating attack on my child ? Not Much. But I grew up in a different time with harder moments and my mind works this way. That does not mean they should. One of the reasons I think this nation is having so many attacks such as this one is the lack of people willing to do something about it. The method of trusting the professionals is not working.. American people have been brainwashed and desire to wear blinders and ignore it. The truth is, It is happening and I am a realist. But I am not advocating anyone involve themselves in vigilante behaviors. There would be a tremendous price to pay for such actions.

I agree one person out of the group will eventually crack but they got to put pressure on them. I also agree people do need to protect their own against crazy nut jobs. However with that being said there are always going to be crazy nut jobs in society. Aside from putting tracking devices in everyone, which I don’t agree with there isn’t much you can do. All you can do is watch your enviroment and have protections. Either way it should be the publics and the le job to bring these missing persons home, I personally think it falls on both. I don’t see how the perps family or friends could live with themselves if they new what happened. Just my two cents edward

Olive hill is were a man named “bad eggs” used to live. He was killed by his wife becasue he abused her. Before he ws killed he was a known drug dealer and allegedly he killed a couple kids because they stole from him. He has the same last name as LB. He is one of the Baugus’. Topix parsons TN and Topix savannagh TN are talking alot about this Bad eggs character (his real name is Eddie Baugus). The teens he supposedly killed were either fed to pigs or thrown in the well on his property. Wasnt Kristy moon baugus also fed to pigs?? This may be why no one is talking..they are afraid of the baugus’, they sound like a messed up family. Holly has ties to them since she dated and supposedly cheated on Lee..

  47. Cindy says:

Is LB a member of the Goose Hunting club?

  48. Alex says:

    Dear Blink,

Today when I reviewed the files I found during this time about Holly’s case, I reviewed the media release by TBI on 13th. of April in here: http://www.tbi.state.tn.us/news_room/documents/Missing%20Woman%20Feared%20Victim%20of%20Home%20Invasion%20Kidnapping.pdf

The points are two: first stating “home invasion” and second “being drug across the carport”. Is it possible that the police has changed the real story so the captors don’t feel so much pressure? I am wondering about the Sheriff’s new interview in which he mentioned Clint has called his mother and mother called 911, so why? Is it because that Clint was hit by the abductor? Then that explains why Holly’s scream was being heard by a neighbor but no mention of scream in her own yard, and also, explains the reason of police protection of Clint because he has seen more than we know.
Hope you can speak more about these details or at least, allow them to be discussed. I know there has been many discussions but none of them hasn’t mentioned why Holly has not screamed in her own yard and screamed somewhere else.

    Looking for everyone’s opinions,
    Alex.

  49. Jack says:

  50. annie says:

Cindy, the only relationship among LB, BB and JD are they are all from Parsons. LB is the son of Will Baugus, whose brother Billy Joe, runs the Perryville Marina, they may all work there, I am not certain. I know Billy Joe and his son, Cody do work there. BB and LB are both exes. Not to my knowledge is JD an ex, but may have been a pursuer. I think the reason for interest in him is the lunchbox was possibly found on his grandfather’s property. NOT POSITIVE, but was in the area. BB and JD did reside 5 or so miles from each other, but BB has not been staying out there. He has never lived in Kentucky Jeff. He may have been there before but never for any length of time.
what classifies someone as a local. someone from the county, the next county or someone who owns a residence here, but only lives here part-time? We don’t have a castle wall around the town or border patrol. There is nothing to stop someone who isn’t from here from coming in a planting evidence. And then leaving again to wherever they have Holly held at or their hole that they live in. I agree with whoever said that the only way for 3 people to keep a secret is it two of them are dead. Especially here. Or someone they are so fearful of they would die for. It just seems like only one person is involved to me. I think she may have become involved with someone at the coon hunt and they came back and got her. I have felt that from the beginning and can’t change my mind on it. I don’t think this perp has any family or friends to speak of, I think they are a loner and they like it that way. So they can take whoever they want and abuse them how they want. JMO
