Holly Bobo Missing And Endangered: Are Suspects Naming Themselves- Odd Dodd?

On the eve of the 4 week anniversary of missing Darden, TN nursing student, Holly Bobo, new investigative details are being learned about the case. Two unofficial persons of interest have taken their case “public” in a way.
While blinkoncrime.com was aware of this information, a decision was made to withhold it in the interests of the cases “active” status previously.
That was, until today, when one of the known person’s of interests in Holly’s disappearance, outed himself publicly.
Jonathan Dodd, son of Bradley Grafton Dodd, and Dena Logan Dodd, chose the Parsons topix forum to “defend” himself against what he termed “death threats”.
Blink, Editor In Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com, was able to confirm the poster on the topix forum was indeed, Jon Dodd.
Speaking exclusively to www.blinkoncrime on the condition of anonymity, an extended family member of the Dodd family, sheds more light on Master Dodd’s claims.
“.. Yes, that is definitely him. I have no idea how he can say he does not know the Bobo family, he went to Scotts Hill with Holly for a short time. Karen Bobo, Holly’s Mom, worked for Grafton Dodd, his grandfather, when he was the principle of the Parson’s junior High when it was still there, Brad and Grafton are on the school board, there is no way that is true what is said.

When he is saying something was stolen from the property, he is talking about the ATV you wrote about before, when I saw that, I knew you were aware of him. Sandy called the sheriffs department before she knew that Holly was missing to report that their ATV was stolen. Sandy is also the cheer leading coach at Riverside High, since forever, and she got into some minor trouble a few years back because she got caught rigging the tryouts. Nothing major, but everyone knew about it. Dena, his Mom, was a teacher at Riverside shortly after he got transferred, which is weird again.
Everyone in this family has been covering for Jon since he was a kid. I could not believe when he stabbed Brad with a scissors when he was about 8 1/2, there was a big cover up. Last year Dena moved to Gwinnett County because the grands let him get away with anything. He has a baby with Shelby Sellers and nobody really even knew about that until after.
Jon went to the great-grandparents for a while in Arab, Ala in 2006 after the girl was killed in the car accident that got his ass beat up when he said she deserved it, and again, nobody said a word. Brad and Dena started up that Boy Scouts thing for him and (redacted by blink).
What is he talking about? What does donate DNA mean? O that is totally him, I can tell by the “I get paid to hunt” or whatever. Speaking of hunting, the abandoned cabin that volunteers found, when Grafton was told, was when he refused permission for any other searches and they got a warrant. Grafton and Sandy were seen removing a mattress from that part of the property, the one they found in the place where the outhouses were used recently. (redacted) saw him in WalMart, he looked at her and said he did not do it, I swear. Really scary.
He (Jon) did not donate DNA, it was taken from him in the parking lot of Tuckers Diner, he did not have a choice. The LE came there and showed some papers. Grafton’s was taken too, but I don’t know were, I heard it was at the area of the Pugh property, by that Shayne Austin’s parents house.

A former boyfriend of Holly Bobo’s, Blake Barnett, is also doing nothing to avoid being scrutinized. It is clear from his facebook postings that he is aware of his “celebrity”, and that folks following this case, are reading.
While it does not make him a bad guy, we have confirmed that he has had a background of alleged violence, in a former relationship with Holly Bobo.
He was the first name utttered by Holly Bobo’s parents, Dana and Karen, when they learned of her abduction.
That said, there is no known evidence linking Mr. Barnett to Holly’s disappearance.
Barnett is no stranger to violence, unfortunately, Blake, his brother and sister lost their parents Timothy and Janice in a brutal murder in 1993.
John Robinson, with actus reus assistance from his wife Kimberly, murdered both of the Barnett’s because they were after him for bounced checks.
Amelia, Blake’s little sister, was left in her crib for 48 hours before police found her while looking for the Barnett’s. She survived.
There have been no official suspects or persons of interest named in the disappearance of Holly Bobo in 4 weeks.
There has not been a LE update to her case since May 2.

I don’t know if anything I say is right their all assumptions. There are a lot of unanswered questions in this case. I think there has been a lot of misinformations and a lot or rumors from the start of this case. The media end of this case has just been horrible. She could have been anxious because she had a big test that day. She could have been anxious because of threat she may have been receving. I do believe with the finding of her phone the tbi can look into this. I do however think they have some idea of who is involved the problem is the evidence. They might not have enough evidence to arrest the person. Just my two cents

Their looking at a sex offender in connection to the Holly Bobo case. However this guy don’t fit the description the brother gave. The guy is 5’5 130 pounds. Any reason why their looking at this guy other then he is a sex offender.
Alex … It is my opinion that LE was lost from the first moment and lost the edge.
They claim limitaion by laws and policy on investigation and are crippled by their lack of ability to respond like a calvary to abductions.
Where I live, LE responds with officers and Immediate news media as well as lighted signs on the freeway and for the most part situations are nicked before they get out of hand. Even still situations do happen and as such searchers are still looking for Michelle Le even though her car was found in 2 hours after and daylite abduction from a kaiser hospital in my area.
It has been 2 months. I have been out 3 times and will continue.
People need to continue searcher for Holly. Talking will get them nothing. She is there they just have to find her.

#2 – Jeff, I read the same description and I agree, the description isn’t even close. I’m wondering if this is a rouse to flush out the real perps, maybe, make them feel more comfortable hoping that the real perp(s) start looking for more attention as the perp(s) have taunted LE on this case from the beginning.

I have no clue but the description isn’t even close. It really depends on how close clint bobo saw the perp I suppose. It also depends on if they think more then one person is responsible and they were working togather. Maybe there was more then one person at that house that day. Perhaps clint only got the description of one of the guys but said there were two. Strange that they come out and say he might be connected now after three months. The guy must have been on their rader someway or somehow. Just my two cents.

Cindy and Jeff, thank you. I did find it. We got our Redplum advertisements in the mail today and Holly was the featured missing person on the back of the ad. Tore me up to see that. Glad they featured her, but so sad she is still missing. I hope this will somehow help the investigation with some kind of tips.

I think the law is really in weak position, yes I am agreed that evidence must found to make an arrest but here, a life is in stake. I don’t know law much and also, cannot understand the lawyers and courts but here we have Holly, whom has been kidnapped for more than three months. I have lost my own brother and I know how the hell the family is going through and the pain of the Bobos is something more than my family’s because we know and they don’t even know. If LE knows anyone suspicious and even that person is a very powerful one and LE has very little evidence, I think they must do an arrest for this arrest may lead some other people to come forth or maybe the LE can brokered a trade with the prep and using freedom and lack of his charging instead of Holly. This is what LE must do not just sitting and watching for what happens in the future.

I am completely agreed with you that LE has done this case very poor specially in the first days. It seems that although TN has a history of many abductions and cold cases and also, a very rural area with potentials for kidnapping and holding someone captive, both local LE and TBI have not adequate experience in facing such a situation and if they had any, they wouldn’t show any until now. I still wonder why they haven’t entered the woods just after their reaching the scene and why the Bobos themselves haven’t done anything. Why all the people be gathered in Bobos residence but done nothing? What all the people scared from? Could it be some kind of gangs for drug trade that people feared to go after them?

About that sex offender, I think maybe the LE just wants to weaken the pressure on his shoulders a little so they just say something, or maybe even the description of Clint has been changed!

#10 – LaurieO – we received our redplum ads yesterday, also. I was shocked to see Holly’s picture and said to my husband “that’s my missing girl” as he knows how I’m watching this investigation. I don’t know where you live, but I live in NE Ohio, so it appears that they are reaching out to a larger area than just Tennessee. I pray that she is found soon.
I live in California. Received my redplum ad today. The missing person on mine is from California. I was hoping to see Holly too!! Praying for Holly’s safe return.
LE cannot arrest someone just because they “feel” like it. Also, LE would not “broker” a trade with a perp in exchange for Holly and just let the person(s) walk away from charges. Things don’t work like that.

Cindy, I am in Southwest Ohio!! You must be in one corner and I am in the opposite. I hope her picture went out nationwide. I don’t know if it will help, but it sure couldn’t hurt. It will at least remind people of this case and not let it slip any further out of the public’s eye.

Just read they arrested the sex offender they were seeking in regards to the holly bobo case. They found him in minnesota at his girlfriends house. They also said this guy lived right down the road from her. It will be interesting has to what comes out. Blink any insight into this. Just my two cents.
His conviction was for child molestation in ’88 in WA state.
He is listed as an absconder on TN site, with a MO DL.
One would have to know what his probation/requirements were, but do to the location of his offense, I would be surprised if he had lifetime registration. WA is incredibly lax. He is not required to list his vehicles or employer, on paper, I am not sure he is not in compliance at all unless there are “sealed” areas of his probation, which I HAVE seen before.
I am more likely to think this guy is a CI, or was pointed to by a CI.

I agree thats why I was wondering what the interest in him is in regards to the holly bobo cases. Just kind of confused to why they say there could be a connection is all. Shouldn’t they have tracked him at the start of the case and not three months later. Just my two cents.

Anyone catch the interview with the family on Jane Velez Mitchell’s show? I don’t get HLN. Just wondering if anything new or significant came of it.
I have yet to post on this site but I have been following this case on here since the very beginning. I just can’t help but comment now regarding the interview the family did on Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell last night… We now hear from Dana that the blood was Holly’s, Clint’s story has changed again or atleast now he saw silhouettes kneeling in the garage where he saw the blood and this interview seemed to contradict the last interview’s time line. Clint stated last night that he called his mom to find out who was in the garage versus Karen calling home after a call from the neighbor at school. I am just curious as to anyone else’s opinions of this interview. I found their behavior and body language to be very very strange and why did the minister replace Dana half way thru the interview? Anyone else have any thoughts? Blink? Any comments? This case just gets stranger everyday!

Kinda of odd but clint bobo can see them kneeling down in the garage. Then he calls his mother and sees them walking into the woods. The only description he can give is 6 ft to 200 pounds. How can he see all this but not a better description of the perp. How can he not have a better description. Just my two cents

My sense of Clint and his behaviour that morning: I think Clint woke from the barking, heard talking, but was not alarmed. He was possibly not fully awake. He sees Holly with someone in the carport (perhaps as a passing glance, out a window, on the way to the bathroom or something…still nothing to be alarmed about. Who knows why, but he calls his mom. (This actually sounds like what my son might do, particularly if he is just awakened….he is not coherent for awhile.) What he is seeing is def out of the ordinary, but he has no reason to be alarmed. Who in the world would think his sister is being abducted from their somewhat remote country house? I think Clint wasn’t sure of what exactly he was seeing, he made some assumptions (Holly was with Drew), and that COULD have clouded what he was ACTUALLY seeing. He assumed he was seeing her boyfriend, so he glanced, saw Holly walking with the person he describes as being close to Drew’s size.
Some clarification on the timeline would be hugely helpful, especially as to the scream the neighbor heard, but apparently not Clint.

The family looked spent, all there enery has been thinking about Holly, searching for her.
Clint story has change, because he is sharing more information, and I think he has more to give, but cannot because of the ONGOING case.
I have said more than once the blood was hers, and the family had said, “they don’t think the ROS, has anything to do with it”.

I think the move to put the Ministe, was to show they are of God Fearing PPL or the mom was ready to break down, I thought it was a nice touch.
I’m not so shure, the so called Ex-BFs, are involved anymore, yes they have issue, but they have been small time crimes, examples. DUI, drugs, fighting, destruction of property. I find it hard to think that one of the move to, kidnapping/rape/murder! for no reason given yet, like, revenge or jealousy, plus these are 20 year old males, who were able to pull off the perfect crime, and not one of them has become a POI, after 4 months, I just don’t think this add up to one of them anymore, but I could be wround.
After this interview. I think it someone that she did not know, some how he met/seen/found her.
I think he follow her back to her house, the loction, is perfect to take someone. He could have sat, out in the frount of the house in the woods, and watch this house for days, even weeks, and moved to the back of the house to, in full camo, no one would have beenable to see him. I think he is a hunter, he is married, and has kids, he has no recorded, he might work thrid shift or is self employed, he has the time to watch the house, and can use hunting season for a cover stories, hunters will find and look for new place to hunt before the seasons start. Once he new, the family member house hold times, all he had to do was pick a day and time. Wed, 7:00 am.
LE said they think he was waiting by the car for her.
I think he was, might have been laying down, on the drive side, he could see, her coming.
Has plan would have been to move her away from the house as fast as he could, as he came out from behind the car, she would the been supprise, and drop the coke can, he would have try to get her to come with him, and they had words, she refuse, and he sucker puncher her, hard enought to put her on the ground, small amounts of blood on the ground, and it is hers, from Clints account, both are on the ground, he tells he know theres some one else in the house, and he will kill him/them, if she dose not do what he ask, he has a weapon, she not only in fear for her life, but her brothers to, at this point she in a fog, i think he had, place duct tape/rop/mask, at the end of the woods, for the reason to subdue her, when they get to this spot, the fog clear, no longer stunded from the blow, and she know shes in deep trouble, and she screams, he has transportation close bye, he takes all of her stuff with him, and is either dumpping as they move away, or brought it back ot through off LE, as I posted, he might have a hunting cab, far from the location. From here you can guss what happens next.

He didn’t know who the people were outside the house, but assumed, at some point, that it was Holly and her Boyfriend? When did this assumption occur, becuase it would not have occured after speaking with Karen Bobo, because she had stated that she told Clint it was not Holly and her Boyfriend.
The story itself and replay of events appears to be a bit irrational, and from an outsider’s perspective, simply illogical. I commend the Family for coming forward and keeping the case in the public eye, but if the end result is going to result in a further skew of information and further conjecture, what is the purpose of even discussing the course of events?
Something I find interest to think about.
Clint said he has not wavered about 5’10 to 6′ 200lb.
One of three exbf, has to match this, and if not then they won’t involved.

My thoughts in a nutshell-
Holly’s abduction was just an element of a much bigger issue.
The one’s who took her are local but it was facilited by another.
The brother isn’t a good liar in fact either are LE and the parents.
It appears that everyone is hiding something and no one can get there story straight
Its true they are hiding something and it has to be that way.
The truth won’t be revealed until Holly is home.
Imagine needing help but knowing something really bad could happen if you said exactly what you needed.
So you are forced to comply but also do everything you can to try and get help without crossing that invisible line.
Just think about this and respect that there is a damn good reason for the confusion and silence.

William, many have wondered that, but I tend to think that was not the case. I have never heard of Whitney Duncan until Holly went missing and I listen to a lot of country music. Of course, if someone THOUGHT Whitney was rich because they are assuming so or are ignorant, then it might make sense. My gut is that Whitney being Holly’s cousin is just coincidence. JMO

I haven’t been around for two days and now, I read about recent interview and it is obvious that they are all fearful from something. what about this theory: You know if there is any chance of finding Holly, I am sure that her parents will put themselves in any danger to do so, but we see that they are fearful, so there is a possibility and it is because that their only other child is being threatened, what if that Clint is being threatened so the Bobos remain quiet in many points or they are sure that Holly is alive and she would be alive until they remain quiet! I want to hear your comments on this.
The screaming being heard by the neighbor is not fitting in any of this story. Holly is being led towards wood with that person, Clint hasn’t seen anything abnormal about it so it means that Holly has not screamed until a far distance from her home where Clint could not hear it, then why she might comply with that abductor? OK, she was confused but how she came out of confusion and started to scream and the neighbor immediately called Mrs. Bobo. Why Clint has called his mom? Is everyone waiting for something bad happens to Holly? And again that disturbing question, why the LE has not entered the woods after they arrival?

I watched this morning’s interview on NBC Today show – I’m glad that the family is getting out there and speaking and asking for help in find Holly. Karen even asked that the President send more help to find Holly. It’s so sad, may God bless all of them and find Holly alive and well.

It is highly unlikely that the perpetrator(s) of this abduction are attempting to negotiate with LE. If there is negotiation, it would likely be between the family and the perpetrator, and hopefully LE would be involved to advise the family.
LE has a duty to arrest those involved in criminal activity…not bargain with them.
William said he thought LE should arrest the suspect or suspects, merely to force a confession. It doesn’t happen that way because there is something called Constitutional rights.

There is a lot of rumor and inuendo surrounding this case that “it is not what it seems” with the implication being that merely speaking about anything will make the situation worse and detrimental to Holly.
Now I have been under the belief that this beautiful girl is likely deceased; however, there are many who think she is alive but insist that keeping the case in the media will not help her come home. I saw the interview with the family and thought it was very strange…”off” and not particularly forthcoming. Their answers contradict previous information and pretty much all the information provided on this case contradicts previous information. I can understand rumors or info that wasn’t reported correctly at the beginning of a case…but this story is an ever evolving study in conflicting information and it has been nearly 4 months! What is going on here?? This is all very strange. Any answers?

I think the whole case is strange. Maybe there is something bigger going on in this casae that no one knows. Perhaps what appears to be a abduction is not even an abdcution. Maybe thats why everything from the family to the le seems off and odd. Just my two cents.

My thoughts are that LE is not telling the family anything because they just have no idea who did what to Holly?
Clints story is strange for a 25 year old man. Not believable. Has he ever been poly’d? Can’t find that he has. I am wondering. Is Clint a bit slow? Another thought could he be on drugs? His answers to JVM were strange and have bloggers…really talking.
Quite honestly I don’t think local forces and maybe even state are prepared for these missing and dead children and young adults.
I think in our country we need to set up special task forces to handle these cases. A lot is lost in the first week when LE is not able to handle the sensationalism of a case like Hollys.

I think LE has altered Clint’s account originally, and even asked him and the family not to repeat some things, and what you see is that hesitation process. I actually thought Clint’s account made more sense to me now, than had previously.
I am on record for years that I do NOT believe most local LE has the resources or the training to work abduction or missing persons cases and they should immediately be handed over to a qualified agency.
That team would include a victim’s advocate liason, to manage the relationship with the family, LE and the media.
Your correct, timing is critical, and I fear the first hour of Holly’s abduction alone made this case a tough one.

I take the Bobo’s recent appearances as a sign that the silence from LE due to the “ongoing” nature of the investigation is getting old.
