Holly Bobo Missing And Endangered: Are Suspects Naming Themselves- Odd Dodd?

On the eve of the 4 week anniversary of missing Darden, TN nursing student, Holly Bobo, new investigative details are being learned about the case. Two unofficial persons of interest have taken their case “public” in a way.
While blinkoncrime.com was aware of this information, a decision was made to withhold it in the interests of the cases “active” status previously.
That was, until today, when one of the known person’s of interests in Holly’s disappearance, outed himself publicly.
Jonathan Dodd, son of Bradley Grafton Dodd, and Dena Logan Dodd, chose the Parsons topix forum to “defend” himself against what he termed “death threats”.
Blink, Editor In Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com, was able to confirm the poster on the topix forum was indeed, Jon Dodd.
Speaking exclusively to www.blinkoncrime on the condition of anonymity, an extended family member of the Dodd family, sheds more light on Master Dodd’s claims.
“.. Yes, that is definitely him. I have no idea how he can say he does not know the Bobo family, he went to Scotts Hill with Holly for a short time. Karen Bobo, Holly’s Mom, worked for Grafton Dodd, his grandfather, when he was the principle of the Parson’s junior High when it was still there, Brad and Grafton are on the school board, there is no way that is true what is said.

When he is saying something was stolen from the property, he is talking about the ATV you wrote about before, when I saw that, I knew you were aware of him. Sandy called the sheriffs department before she knew that Holly was missing to report that their ATV was stolen. Sandy is also the cheer leading coach at Riverside High, since forever, and she got into some minor trouble a few years back because she got caught rigging the tryouts. Nothing major, but everyone knew about it. Dena, his Mom, was a teacher at Riverside shortly after he got transferred, which is weird again.
Everyone in this family has been covering for Jon since he was a kid. I could not believe when he stabbed Brad with a scissors when he was about 8 1/2, there was a big cover up. Last year Dena moved to Gwinnett County because the grands let him get away with anything. He has a baby with Shelby Sellers and nobody really even knew about that until after.
Jon went to the great-grandparents for a while in Arab, Ala in 2006 after the girl was killed in the car accident that got his ass beat up when he said she deserved it, and again, nobody said a word. Brad and Dena started up that Boy Scouts thing for him and (redacted by blink).
What is he talking about? What does donate DNA mean? O that is totally him, I can tell by the “I get paid to hunt” or whatever. Speaking of hunting, the abandoned cabin that volunteers found, when Grafton was told, was when he refused permission for any other searches and they got a warrant. Grafton and Sandy were seen removing a mattress from that part of the property, the one they found in the place where the outhouses were used recently. (redacted) saw him in WalMart, he looked at her and said he did not do it, I swear. Really scary.
He (Jon) did not donate DNA, it was taken from him in the parking lot of Tuckers Diner, he did not have a choice. The LE came there and showed some papers. Grafton’s was taken too, but I don’t know were, I heard it was at the area of the Pugh property, by that Shayne Austin’s parents house.

The X Factor
A former boyfriend of Holly Bobo’s, Blake Barnett, is also doing nothing to avoid being scrutinized. It is clear from his facebook postings that he is aware of his “celebrity”, and that folks following this case, are reading.
While it does not make him a bad guy, we have confirmed that he has had a background of alleged violence, in a former relationship with Holly Bobo.
He was the first name utttered by Holly Bobo’s parents, Dana and Karen, when they learned of her abduction.
That said, there is no known evidence linking Mr. Barnett to Holly’s disappearance.
Barnett is no stranger to violence, unfortunately, Blake, his brother and sister lost their parents Timothy and Janice in a brutal murder in 1993.
John Robinson, with actus reus assistance from his wife Kimberly, murdered both of the Barnett’s because they were after him for bounced checks.
Amelia, Blake’s little sister, was left in her crib for 48 hours before police found her while looking for the Barnett’s. She survived.
There have been no official suspects or persons of interest named in the disappearance of Holly Bobo in 4 weeks.
There has not been a LE update to her case since May 2.

smiths, I guess that is my question. They did not have a publicly announced POI, but if they had a hunch who did this from the very beginning (and let’s just assume they did for the sake of my question), could LE legally keep them from participating in the searches if they had not publicly declared them a POI?

Cnog, here’s my guess. They are LE. If they didn’t want an unnamed POI searching, they could have found a way to stop it. I mean no disrespect, but I firmly believe they could find a way. BUT there is the other side of that coin-let the unnamed POI help search and keep a close eye on him. Ever heard the old saying, “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer”? Watching how this person behaves could be very revealing to LE. It may not give them specific evidence, but it might indicate some things. All JMO

I am thinking it might not have been the POI himself involved in the searches but a realtive. It would be a little odd if evidence just started turning up where the POS was searching or already searched. I am thinking the POS would probley would have not even been involved in the searching. I also would think the LE would be having people sign in and sign out so they know who searched what. Anyhow these are just my thoughts regarding that subject. Just my two cents.
I think I have read every post about here about Holly’s case, but I cannot remember if anyone mentioned whether Jon Dodd or Blake Barnett (two of the primary individuals mentioned on this site) fits the description of the person seen by Clint Bobo walking with Holly towards the woods. In other words, does anyone know if those guys are 5’10″- 6″ tall and around 200 lbs? Just another little detail that I don’t recall being directly addressed…..

I have tried and tried to make sense of anything about this case, but with the info that is public, nada. Guess my biggest question is. I get that the perp didn’t plan on Clint being home but Holly knew he was there, if it were me I would have screamed my head off at the house, so why did she wait to do it next to the neighbors house. No doubt this was someone she knew and trusted or the “shadows” clint saw in the garage were 2 attackers and they were leaning over holly and she came to when close to the neighbors house. This is the only way the presented facts make any sense to me.

#12 – Survivor just announced their cast for the next season and Whitney Duncan will be amongst survivors. According to the press release they been filming for a 2-3 months already. I believe that is the reason of her silence.
#11 – There is “rumor” or fact, depending on how you take it that Natalie was jealous of Holly and had been vocal about it in public. That’s heresay, so JMO.
If not directly implicated, Natalie Bobo file is chock full of open doors for a monster to gain access to Holly. Assuming that the cousins were close, this is a certianty.
I redacted past that, she is not a suspect, I am not going to out her work here in an open case, or the other stuff. Not what I do. Anyone with minimal research skills can develop that info, and it may have no bearing on this case.
That said, it is my personal opinion as an investigative analyst that she makes my short-list as the potential for interview- with a missing loved one, who is getting arrested really?

Blink – is it your opinion that Natalie and one or more of the young men mentioned throughout these posts may have been working together in the disappearance of Holly?
No, I think it is possible through her lifestyle and choices of associates she may have let the vampire in.
I have not found anything directly that leads me to an opinion that Natalie would be complicit in Holly’s disappearance.
She is definitely on my radar, and I am of the opinion that there is a parallel investigation occurring here.

There is at least one timeline over there suggesting Clint left the house and returned at approx 7:20-7:35 in a big hurry…they cited the neighbors son telling his mother (who were by then watching the Bobo res because of scream) that Clint must be in a hurry..fwiw

I’ve been catching up on comments and came across 4-5 pages (13-17 i think) with comments that on the surface were honey sweet southern style BUT the hidden message was nothing more than a “dig” at Holly. EX.everyones a suspect…not just boyfriends HOLLY HURT. Blake has been over his obession with Holly for sometime now. She stomped that sucker(heart)flat. They are using Holly for their sick enjoyment. I am so confused by this case its crazy. I don’t know if there is going to be a simple answer. This could be why so little info has been released by the LE. Seems like friends are feuding with friends, family is feuding with other family members etc… I truthfully don’t know what to think because something new comes out just about everyday. Just my two cents.

@ Jeff….I agree. I’ve been following the case since it started, but I feel like the public knows less today than it did 5 months ago. I had no idea this Natalie cousin existed until this week! But, given Natalie’s facebook and myspace pages, it is certainly feasible that whoever abducted Holly came in contact with her via Natalie. But who knows…..way too many question marks, not enough concrete info to make any sense of it…..

Almost like comments are suggesting that Natalie wanted to teach a lesson to Holly using acquaintances.. Instead found herself fully involved and now coersed to be quiet or go to prison forever.

Cindy, if the town is as small as everyone says it is, then I would think that would be very possible. And Natalie’s job has her dealing with the public, so that makes it more likely.

The rumors are off the charts. IDK everything but I will speak of what I do know. Natalie isnt thought to be directly involved but it is my opinion she is withholding information and through association has become involved and not in a positive way. I won’t say what she was arrested for only because it will just become more fuel for the fire plus Blink would most likely not post it. Both arrests are relevent to this case. I don’t think ya’ll realize the depth of opposition to resolving Holly’s case locally. People dont bring the topic up and that’s just known.
I can agree to the sentiment of some of the locals, it is tenuous. Natalie was arrested at least twice for harrassment and vandalism. It is my opinion based on conversations with locals that she has a substance abuse problem. The area around her employer was searched. That is all I am comfortable saying at the moment. I am confirming this because this information is factual and vetted it myself.

Sorry Blink, wasn’t sure where to post this…just curious if you have heard anything about the disappearence of Katelyn Markham? She disappeared from her home in Fairfield, Ohio (a suburb of Cincinnati). This is just a 5 or 10 miles from me so it has caught my attention. Apparently it’s getting national attention too as her father was on the Today show this a.m. So far, no leads, just curious if you have been following?
I have, and I think this one will solve pretty quickly in terms of identifying a suspect, but I am jammed through this week’s end.

Natalie was out of state until a couple weeks before Holly’s abduction. She had got into some trouble and was brought home.
This is real sad ya’ll the Bobo’s shouldn’t be having to carry guns when they are out searching and talking around town. These are real good folks and its just not right.

I don’t think anyone benefits. It is my decision based on case sensitive information, I am not the National Enquirer of True Crime, this is an active investigation. I am not being cryptic whatsoever, I published what I was comfortable with.

Ok, this case has always intrigued me, and supposing that a text message was sent to Karen from Holly’s phone I’ve gotta ask did the police check on the phone records? were they able to find out where the message was sent? if they did this maybe that’s why they’re so sure that Holly’s still on the state. This is just supposing this rumor is true. I also wonder why if Holly wasn’t the one who wrote and sent the message? maybe the message was written by the perpetrator maybe he wanted to mislead the police, he wanted them to believe that Holly was still alive, and if he had already killed her at that time, he achieved his mission, the police canceled searches. Maybe he does not want his remains to be found anytime soon, after all the more decayed they are less forensic evidence. Of course this is just my opinion, I do hope Holly’s still alive.

So far from some of the comments I have been reading it seems natalie did something bad. This triggered some kind of event with certain people and they might have taken or did somthing to holly instead of natalie. Now this could have taken place by accident or purpose. Thats what I am reading into some of the post that have been written. Just my two cents.
Gamer – why is it townspeople aren’t interested in solving this crime? I can’t understand how a community could turn a blind eye to someone’s child vanishing from their own home. Noone cares or has any compassion? Suppose it were their own? I just can’t believe someone within that community can’t find it within themselves to tell what they know…anything that could advance this case. Prayers for the Bobo family.
Jeff this is a small community and locals known to the family are suspected. Its a difficult picture to paint friend. Folks protect their own down here and leave the investigating to the law.
Gamer – So the family has its suspicians, and the ‘folks are protecting their own’….but what are others outside of the family saying? Are people talking, or mostly staying quiet? If they are quiet, is it out of fear? Are those being protected powerful?

Ms. B…Do restraining orders have automatic expiration dates?…Seems in other cases a request to renew, or some sort of review is common…so if no action is taken an RO may well just expire?
