On the eve of the 4 week anniversary of missing Darden, TN nursing student, Holly Bobo, new investigative details are being learned about the case. Two unofficial persons of interest have taken their case “public” in a way.
While blinkoncrime.com was aware of this information, a decision was made to withhold it in the interests of the cases “active” status previously.
That was, until today, when one of the known person’s of interests in Holly’s disappearance, outed himself publicly.
Jonathan Dodd, son of Bradley Grafton Dodd, and Dena Logan Dodd, chose the Parsons topix forum to “defend” himself against what he termed “death threats”.
Blink, Editor In Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com, was able to confirm the poster on the topix forum was indeed, Jon Dodd.
Speaking exclusively to www.blinkoncrime on the condition of anonymity, an extended family member of the Dodd family, sheds more light on Master Dodd’s claims.
“.. Yes, that is definitely him. I have no idea how he can say he does not know the Bobo family, he went to Scotts Hill with Holly for a short time. Karen Bobo, Holly’s Mom, worked for Grafton Dodd, his grandfather, when he was the principle of the Parson’s junior High when it was still there, Brad and Grafton are on the school board, there is no way that is true what is said.

When he is saying something was stolen from the property, he is talking about the ATV you wrote about before, when I saw that, I knew you were aware of him. Sandy called the sheriffs department before she knew that Holly was missing to report that their ATV was stolen. Sandy is also the cheer leading coach at Riverside High, since forever, and she got into some minor trouble a few years back because she got caught rigging the tryouts. Nothing major, but everyone knew about it. Dena, his Mom, was a teacher at Riverside shortly after he got transferred, which is weird again.
Everyone in this family has been covering for Jon since he was a kid. I could not believe when he stabbed Brad with a scissors when he was about 8 1/2, there was a big cover up. Last year Dena moved to Gwinnett County because the grands let him get away with anything. He has a baby with Shelby Sellers and nobody really even knew about that until after.
Jon went to the great-grandparents for a while in Arab, Ala in 2006 after the girl was killed in the car accident that got his ass beat up when he said she deserved it, and again, nobody said a word. Brad and Dena started up that Boy Scouts thing for him and (redacted by blink).
What is he talking about? What does donate DNA mean? O that is totally him, I can tell by the “I get paid to hunt” or whatever. Speaking of hunting, the abandoned cabin that volunteers found, when Grafton was told, was when he refused permission for any other searches and they got a warrant. Grafton and Sandy were seen removing a mattress from that part of the property, the one they found in the place where the outhouses were used recently. (redacted) saw him in WalMart, he looked at her and said he did not do it, I swear. Really scary.
He (Jon) did not donate DNA, it was taken from him in the parking lot of Tuckers Diner, he did not have a choice. The LE came there and showed some papers. Grafton’s was taken too, but I don’t know were, I heard it was at the area of the Pugh property, by that Shayne Austin’s parents house.

A former boyfriend of Holly Bobo’s, Blake Barnett, is also doing nothing to avoid being scrutinized. It is clear from his facebook postings that he is aware of his “celebrity”, and that folks following this case, are reading.
While it does not make him a bad guy, we have confirmed that he has had a background of alleged violence, in a former relationship with Holly Bobo.
He was the first name utttered by Holly Bobo’s parents, Dana and Karen, when they learned of her abduction.
That said, there is no known evidence linking Mr. Barnett to Holly’s disappearance.
Barnett is no stranger to violence, unfortunately, Blake, his brother and sister lost their parents Timothy and Janice in a brutal murder in 1993.
John Robinson, with actus reus assistance from his wife Kimberly, murdered both of the Barnett’s because they were after him for bounced checks.
Amelia, Blake’s little sister, was left in her crib for 48 hours before police found her while looking for the Barnett’s. She survived.
There have been no official suspects or persons of interest named in the disappearance of Holly Bobo in 4 weeks.
There has not been a LE update to her case since May 2.

I infer “interference in this investigation” prolonging it comes from supervisory level with LE or DA based on external political pressures at the Srate or County level?
Prayers for Holly’s family and friends. I’ve been following and had no idea today was the anniversary. So sad.
Inexperienced individual like Calabrese (and others claiming to act on BOC’s behalf) are throwing themselves into cases like Holly’s are possibly motivated by the rewards HENCE, making it a catch 22, so to speak. That, or it’s as close to LE as they ever hope to become.
Indeed, it’s most unfortunate that motives like these interfere with the integrity of the investigations.

This broadcast just rips you to the core. I pray that LE gets the lead that they need to make an arrest soon.
Some cases are tough like this one. If people aren’t talking, what can the police do? Not that the police want the public’s help anyway considering they haven’t shared info. No sightings, no evidence in the recovered items, etc. I’m sure TBI has important evidence but obviously is not enough since there haven’t been any new developements in this case and we’re still here knowing pretty much anything new since last april. I really hope her case gets solved but I don’t think is going to happen anytime soon, there are cases that require years to be solved and some of them sadly never are. I feel she’s still alive which is weird but if it really was a local person there’s not much hope for Holly then, who could keep on hidding a local girl for such a long time? I don’t think her family has a clue either, this is so sad and it breaks my heart everytime I see her family’s pain, this case has touched me like no other and perhaps I am so hard on TBI because I want Holly to be found and soon.

Sorry if this has been asked before. Couldn’t the Bobo family use the reward money to hire their own PI? Not sure who the benefactor is, but I’d think they’d support a decision to use the $ for that purpose.
Also, do you know if Tim what’s his last name was ever asked to come do a search?

The segment was SO short last night. I’m worried because it is such a small town & I think there a likely less than a handful of ppl (in that town) who know what happened.

My opinion:
This guy either knows Holly personally or had been stalking her.
Either way- he is connected to family in that town & has someone close to him that a member or has direct access to local LE (hence bringing in TBI very quickly)
It is obvious that the perp was amongst searcher or had a family member searching.
I am assuming the perp left no DNA either.

•he either got onto a four wheeler
•continued walking to a vehicle
The vehicle had to have been waiting somewhere.
–how did the perp arrive there before he abducted her?
–how did he exit the woods–her cell phone ended up across town (either someone met him to take the phone -I doubt) or he got into a vehicle and left.
He either left her in those woods or left in a vheicle.
From the time she was taken-
How far could he have walked?
How far could he have driven a four wheeler?
Where could his vehicle has been parked & waiting?
Of course all of this should have been looked at THAT DAY

If a local- who was missing from work that entire day?

How does LE decide to withhold or release 911 calls? The LE investigating Holly’s disappearance has released very little information, in particular, the 911 calls. Would their be accusatory info on in these calls which is case sensitive?
You may have answered this type of question before, but what makes LE keep so much info “case sensitive” when a case like this goes unsolved for over a year with very little information released to the public?
In this case, I do believe there is a mention of a possible suspect in the opinion of a caller, so that would absolutely be withheld in an active investigation.
The bottom line here is if the wheel is not squeakin, it does not get oil.

I have noticed in some cases the families of the missing have persued civil suits against suspects. Could the bobo family go about this and force the hand of the le into nameing a suspect.

Why has this case seemed to come to a STOP? I check on Holly every day and have not got any updated information from BLINK eather. Has anyone got any other news on Holly
# 18, Hi Rob, Holly is the first case that I’ve followed and yes, I, too, check every day, it’s very sad and I pray that they find her and arrest the one (s) who took her soon. It appears that the case has not progressed beyond the initial searches and I can’t remember when the last release of info was from TBI.

Were College Girls Mickey Shunick, Lauren Spierer and Holly Bobo Abducted By a Serial Predator Along With 9 Other Petite Blonde Females. College student Mickey Shunick is missing, she is a white female with long blonde hair, she is 5′ 1″ tall and weighs 115 lbs, she is 22 years old, she went missing at about 1:48 am on Saturday May 19th, 2012. Mickey Shunick was riding her bike home after a night on the town, she was in an open area near the busy intersection of Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Congress Street in Lafayette LA. The location where Mickey Shunick went missing is only about 1 1/2 miles from I-10, see map click here. Cops in Lafayette LA have no new leads in the Mickey Shunick missing person case, no suspects, no clues and even cancelled a press conference for today, Saturday May 26th because, “There are no updates to the case at this time,” the email from Lafayette Police Department CIO Cpl. Paul Mouton began. “The Police Department has received a tremendous response in regards to the information released on the vehicle of interest. Detectives continue to follow up tips. I will notify all of you if we decide to conduct a press briefing regarding new information. “There is no press briefing today.”
THE Modus operandi (often used in the abbreviated form MO) is a Latin phrase, approximately translated as “mode of operation.” Over the last few years there has been several unsolved cases of petite blonde females who resemble Mickey Shunick in looks and size with a very similar MO. Eleven petite blonde females have been abducted and or murdered with no results for the families. These petite blonde females have all been abducted from open spaces away from their homes or apartments, there were no break-ins, there are no suspects, there are no persons of interest and there appears to be no DNA evidence.
Cops in Lafayette LA are looking for a 4 door white pick up truck with an exteded cab, the type used by guys working construction jobs, the truck was seen near where collge student Mickey Shunick went missing. There appears to be similarities between the 4 door white pick up truck seen in Lafayette La to the 4 door white pick up truck seen near where college student Lauren Spierer went missing in Bloomington IN but the Bloomington police were able to track down the white pick up truck’s owner who was 100 percent compliant with their questioning and other procedures. The unnamed driver claimed to work for a construction company, and was in the area to pick up a worker. Bloomington Police have cleared him of any suspicion in the Lauren Spierer missing person case.
Following is a list of unsolved missing, kidnapped or murdered petite blonde females from the last couple of years, they all resemble each other in looks and in size, see all their photos above;

Probably more accurately, Could this be a sicko who likes to SELL small blonde hair girls? The majority have not been found, not even a trace. Perhaps those murdered, fought back.

@Rob Bankert That’s an acceptable theory that has come up due to the lack of updates on those cases, but I still don’t see how Holly’s case could be related to the others, sure all the girls are blond, petit, pretty, etc but Holly was abducted at her home, daylight, on her way to school, it was well planned, the abductor took his time in the house and it seems like Holly knew him besides her house is kinda isolated and the terrain surrounding it is tough, I can’t imagine a serial abductor/killer looking for a girl to kidnap in such an isolated place. I just don’t believe that theory, but who knows in this case? we know nothing, in fact if it weren’t for the blood that indicates that she was attacked in some manner and the screams that were heard by the neighbor that morning I would believe that she left on her own.

She was assaulted in her driveway leaving a pool of blood- I would say her chances of being trapped somewhere are slim. It is my personal belief she is deceased.

The Community United Effort are organizing a search in neighboring Henderson County.
The CUE, an organization based in North Carolina, has been planning the search for over a month, and is expecting over 200 volunteers to help with the efforts this morning.
Holly Bobo has been missing since April 2011. She was last seen by her brother, who told police he saw a man dressed in camouflage leading her into the woods behind her home in Parsons.
Despite several search efforts and a $250,000 reward, law enforcement officials say progress in the investigation has been slow, and has provided few leads.
Law enforcement officials are still asking anyone with information about Holly’s disappearance to call the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
So is the CUE the same group discussed on the Morgan thread?

Do you think there is any connection between the megan sharpton case and this case? Both had mustangs and were nursing students. These two cases seem to have similar elements to me.
One of the glaring differences is that Ms. Sharpton was found. It is my experience that when an offender attempts to burn a victim, it is because their is a definitive connection to the offender- whether that means they are in the criminal system and unknown to the victim, or other.
It is my belief that Holly knew her abductor, so I cannot say, but I do not believe this is some beginning serial offender harming nursing students with mustangs, no.

I agree with everyone here that says she knew her abductor. I also believe that someone in this community knew someone had a disagreement with Holly in some sort of fashion. wheather that being a disagreement to date this person, a didagreement to not date this person …or a disagreement with whom she was friendly or not friendly enough with..maybe a girl- jealous….was it a man, are we sure it was a man….could have been a girl or a women….in these kind of huntiing type communities women wear camo too……MOO-i think someone got a little overly excited about either being ignored by her or her being nice enough to talk to anyone regardless of their personality and or reputation. She was either nice to the wrong person, or not nice to the wrong person…and they took it personal. We must understand, if you look at someone wrong or stare a little too long ( i know staring is rude) but most teens and the younger generation doesnt know these social queues anymore….unless they are taught by us old fashion folks….they are so unassuming, thinking things will not happen to them. Strangers cant be trusted, neither can people you know very well. Lets just say this, (completely off topic) but If someone can fashion a reason to cuss me out at a stop light for minding my own business and three lanes over…I didnt know these people, and i never ever seen them before…they turned right in front of me and just started cussing me. i graciously let them through the intersection and i still got cussed at. but if a total stranger has the audacity to cuss another total stranger for DOING NOTHING WRONG in fact being nice. The world has gotten to be a very reactive presumptious place..Did they assume i would be mad and cuss them, did they assume i would try to act crazy in some way for their actions towards me…i dunno, but i didnt…..This happens often in society. victims never see it coming and often just let things go…I did not go the same way they did.. i went on about my bussines and kept a close eye to my surroundings all day…and let that be a huge lesson for me..to be checking out my surroudings at all times… but things like this happen all the time in broad daylight. If they would have had a gun they would have used it. they would have shot at my car,something, they were mean and i could see the hate in their eyes…true hatred. EVIL. thats how mean they were to me. for no reason…they came from a side street cut clear across the traffic, i seen them out of the corner of my eye and let them pass..i had no reason to be mad or change my ideas, i just let them go, didnt look, didnt sigh didnt glare didnt stare or throw my hands up, i froze and just sat there at my little light…why they cut across ran a light and the whole time cuzzing me…nobody else. there was a car behind me thats it…nobody else around…..i was not in their way, not in their direction…i was nothing to them, no threat….NOTHING. Holly was either too nice or by some sick demented measurement not nice enough to someone that thought they were entitled to her or her circle. So let this be a lesson, yes it is rare but meaness happens to innocent people. Sweet, dearing personalities like Holly can attract opportunist. Just being human and ourselves perpetrates things. Just being.
Very sad. Prayers for her and her family. She seems through all i have read to be a great awesome person. Prayers Holly.
All these unsolved cases are so heartbreaking, and to think that there are so many more that we don’t know about.
About Holly’s situation:
I still don’t understand why they (the brother, LE, whoever) didn’t storm the woods as soon as possible, and definitely as soon as there was any indication of foul play (such as the neighbor saying they heard screaming, or when the blood was found in the carport/garage). If and when they did go into the woods, did they find any footprints or tire tracks to indicate how she was taken from the area, or at least in what direction? How much time passed between Holly being taken and someone entering the woods trying to locate her?
The family doesn’t seem to want to keep this out in the public eye either. It’s like nobody minds that this is now a COLD CASE.
Just my mind wandering…..wonder is she is in the witness protection program.
So sad…all these missing people & the cases just go cold….Baby Lisa, Baby Ayla, Isabel Celis, Kyron Horman, Holly BoBo, Haleigh Cummings.
It seems like if they can’t find a body the perp walks…..

According to the above story, if I understand correctly, people have been going out looking every week. Don’t know how true that is as I’m a bit of a ways from Parsons here in Memphis.
The list of suspects gets shorter if you think of it this way, who knew when dad and mom left for work, Clint was supposed to not be at the house (so who knew Clint not home), and boyfriend Drew is hunting with his father. She was abducted at this opportune time and it was planned as she would not have been missed for hours otherwise. It has to be someone very close to either Holly or her family. Pray that answers are found soon.

I read the above link and post from cindy in regards to the megan sharpton case. From my understand of the post the suspect is setting up interviews with nurses for his sick mother. Is it possible that an interview with Holly was set up for the morning she dissappered at her house. Besides them being nurses students that could be a possible connection between the two cases. Isn’t it going to look bad for the DA if they has this person or perps in their sight and they did nothing. Just wondering your thoughts.

No Jeff remember back at the start Holly had a big Test the day she went missing. And the blood on the driveway, I just hope we can put a end to all this and find Holly and what happened to her.
