Holly Bobo Missing And Endangered: Are Suspects Naming Themselves- Odd Dodd?

On the eve of the 4 week anniversary of missing Darden, TN nursing student, Holly Bobo, new investigative details are being learned about the case. Two unofficial persons of interest have taken their case “public” in a way.
While blinkoncrime.com was aware of this information, a decision was made to withhold it in the interests of the cases “active” status previously.
That was, until today, when one of the known person’s of interests in Holly’s disappearance, outed himself publicly.
Jonathan Dodd, son of Bradley Grafton Dodd, and Dena Logan Dodd, chose the Parsons topix forum to “defend” himself against what he termed “death threats”.
Blink, Editor In Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com, was able to confirm the poster on the topix forum was indeed, Jon Dodd.
Speaking exclusively to www.blinkoncrime on the condition of anonymity, an extended family member of the Dodd family, sheds more light on Master Dodd’s claims.
“.. Yes, that is definitely him. I have no idea how he can say he does not know the Bobo family, he went to Scotts Hill with Holly for a short time. Karen Bobo, Holly’s Mom, worked for Grafton Dodd, his grandfather, when he was the principle of the Parson’s junior High when it was still there, Brad and Grafton are on the school board, there is no way that is true what is said.

When he is saying something was stolen from the property, he is talking about the ATV you wrote about before, when I saw that, I knew you were aware of him. Sandy called the sheriffs department before she knew that Holly was missing to report that their ATV was stolen. Sandy is also the cheer leading coach at Riverside High, since forever, and she got into some minor trouble a few years back because she got caught rigging the tryouts. Nothing major, but everyone knew about it. Dena, his Mom, was a teacher at Riverside shortly after he got transferred, which is weird again.
Everyone in this family has been covering for Jon since he was a kid. I could not believe when he stabbed Brad with a scissors when he was about 8 1/2, there was a big cover up. Last year Dena moved to Gwinnett County because the grands let him get away with anything. He has a baby with Shelby Sellers and nobody really even knew about that until after.
Jon went to the great-grandparents for a while in Arab, Ala in 2006 after the girl was killed in the car accident that got his ass beat up when he said she deserved it, and again, nobody said a word. Brad and Dena started up that Boy Scouts thing for him and (redacted by blink).
What is he talking about? What does donate DNA mean? O that is totally him, I can tell by the “I get paid to hunt” or whatever. Speaking of hunting, the abandoned cabin that volunteers found, when Grafton was told, was when he refused permission for any other searches and they got a warrant. Grafton and Sandy were seen removing a mattress from that part of the property, the one they found in the place where the outhouses were used recently. (redacted) saw him in WalMart, he looked at her and said he did not do it, I swear. Really scary.
He (Jon) did not donate DNA, it was taken from him in the parking lot of Tuckers Diner, he did not have a choice. The LE came there and showed some papers. Grafton’s was taken too, but I don’t know were, I heard it was at the area of the Pugh property, by that Shayne Austin’s parents house.

The X Factor
A former boyfriend of Holly Bobo’s, Blake Barnett, is also doing nothing to avoid being scrutinized. It is clear from his facebook postings that he is aware of his “celebrity”, and that folks following this case, are reading.
While it does not make him a bad guy, we have confirmed that he has had a background of alleged violence, in a former relationship with Holly Bobo.
He was the first name utttered by Holly Bobo’s parents, Dana and Karen, when they learned of her abduction.
That said, there is no known evidence linking Mr. Barnett to Holly’s disappearance.
Barnett is no stranger to violence, unfortunately, Blake, his brother and sister lost their parents Timothy and Janice in a brutal murder in 1993.
John Robinson, with actus reus assistance from his wife Kimberly, murdered both of the Barnett’s because they were after him for bounced checks.
Amelia, Blake’s little sister, was left in her crib for 48 hours before police found her while looking for the Barnett’s. She survived.
There have been no official suspects or persons of interest named in the disappearance of Holly Bobo in 4 weeks.
There has not been a LE update to her case since May 2.

Although months ago, when I was on BOC and immersed in little Kyron’s disappearance, my husband asked what I was reading about. I was really just barely hearing him and I said “I’m on the case”

Posters are on here discussing and hoping holly comes home. The family should be aswering the questions posed on here so people don’t think this person is a suspect. Instead they want to bash the posters and blink for what is said or asked.

@ BlackPearl…If the rescue squad that J.D. was a member of is anything like the one that my brother was here in Middle Tennessee…It is a volunteer based organization that has some members who are medically trained. But it is my understanding from my little brother, that most were not at the time that he volunteered.

That seems strange, but I am not in LE nor have I ever been in the Bobo’s shoes. Are they being threatened? Why would they need protection?
This is a very volatile situation with what they consider a local suspect. I will be able to elaborate on this once there is an arrest.

There is something strange about a facebook page “Holly Bobo Search and Info”, I search and post messages in every related websites about Holly and all of them are about how people should not give up hope and pray for Holly. Last day on that page, I sent something alike and then I received a message from someone about that page is a hoax. When last night, I sent the possibility of that page would not be real, all of my comments on that page was deleted. OK, but the big deal is that message was saying something that “Holly Bobo Search and Info” facebook page is formed by “a registered sex offender”, now, I have two questions: first, I am from outside of US, could anyone please tell me what is this “a registered sex offender” thing? and second does anyone know if the authorities have checked the owner of that page? Maybe there is a connection with Holly.
Also, dear Blink, I have a personal request, could you please provide me with an email address? I want to send you something amazing which may lead to finding Holly but of course, I don’t want that prep see what mistake he has done.
At the end, I want everybody who is concerned about Holly, please just shut your eyes for 10 seconds and pray in whatever you believe in for Holly’s safe return to her home.
MY THEORY OF WHAT ‘MAY’ HAVE HAPPENDED TO HOLLY
After reading Thursday’s many comments on a half dozen forums, a plausible scenario is finally emerging. Granted it is based on unconfirmed reports from various blog commenters. Nevertheless it does all seem to fit with what we do know to be facts or undisputed media reports.
Some of you recall that JD claims to have spent the night with a friend in Lexington and therefore has an alibi. The first part may be true, but do we really know what happed the following morning.
I am suggesting that he and the unnamed friend either partied all night or woke up early to head from Lexington to Parsons in a truck – with, or without, stopping to “borrow” grandma’s Honda ATV along the way.
They parked as close to the Bobo house as possible and one, or both, walked to the edge of the woods to establish a hidden lookout post waiting for both of Holly’s parents to leave,
When a member of the pair finally saw Holly enter the carport to drive to school, he grabbed her and tried to silence her with his hand. But she bit down causing a small amount of blood to fall to the floor of the carport.
He then walked her to the edge of the woods where Clint saw them from some distance. Not long afterwards somehow her mouth became free and she was able to either scream or yell, “Stop! Stop! Stop!” It could have been when they tried to tape her mouth or tie her up for transport back to Lexington.
Sadly her brother Clint was in the shower and did not hear the scream
The FBI has a sample of JD’s DNA. If it matched the perps blood from the carport a reasonable assumption is an arrest would have been imminent. So I am hypothesizing that it was his co-conspirator that grabbed poor Holly and not JD. JD may have waited in the truck or possibly an ATV.
Their next step was to exit the crime scene ASAP. So they drove in the opposite direction of Lexington and dumped the lunch purse to mislead investigators. Afterwards they headed back to Lexington which is in Henderson County. This area has been a focus of heightened search efforts in recent weeks.
So what was the motive for the abduction?
It is known in the community that JD has several old houses in which he takes girls to have sex. Most people local know about it. Everyone within the age of JD know about it according to a commenter on topix..
For example, one of these old houses has a mattress in it rumored to have been placed there by JD. This leads me to believe that the motive from the beginning was some kind of planned sex orgy with one or more of JD’s friends. Whether Holly’s demise was deliberate or unintended is still unclear. Perhaps things just got out of control and maybe the perps were high on something. Just guessing here.
Sick, I know. But wasn’t JD’s grandpa seen hauling a mattress out of one of these old houses before the FBI search took place? Also, weren’t there reports of cleaning supplies being found?
In JD’s defense, he claims to have passed a polygraph test. But do we have confirmation of that? As to his cell phone, he could have simply left that at his friend’s house where he supposedly spent the ‘entire’ night.
If JD is not involved, there are certainly a lot of reports and blog comments from multiple sources that continue to point the finger of suspicion in his direction.

I’m starting to think that maybe the DNA from the grandfather could be in relation to other missing girls like another poster suggested earlier. I’ve posted before about the simalarities between Holly and a girl from Shepherdsville KY, this girl’s body was recovered eventually, as I’m sure Holly’s will be as well.
If LE is guarding the family of this girl then they must have a very good reason to do so. That’s just something you don’t see alot of where I come from.
I’m curious as who they are guarding them from, the perp or his family and friends. I’ve stated before if the perp or his family are part of the “good ‘ole boy” network this case could absolutely end without an arrest.
I can’t link you up with anything, because there’s no “evidence” to link up with…that’s the whole point when it comes to certain people/families in some parts of the South.
Another site says US Marshalls are now involved. Any truth to that?

In your opinion, is it best for us to stop talking regarding this case by following the lead of the TBI with the Bobos? TBI doesn’t want media attention, the media reaches the public, we’re the public and we’re just talk talk talking away. I guess my question is do you think our attention is harming the case and/or the family? Not that I’m very knowledgeable in missing persons cases, but the hush seems strange at best. I know a family that would love the attention and has done everything they can to get it but no is all they hear. Sad really.
Jennifer and Adrianna Wix vanished from Cross Plains, TN and still need to be found. Boyfriend Joey Benton dropped them off at a BP station, passing Jennifer’s mother’s home, and saw them leave in a 4 door mustang later changed to camaro then white car. Benton Family has refused to help search. Grandmother Benton explained “if their dead bodies were on this land, we’d smelled them by now” said directly to Jennifer’s mother and grandmother.
Just wanted to let people know of a case that welcomes and needs your attention while we wait for news of Holly’s return. Adrianna was only 2 years old when she vanished. God bless her.

To answer your question-(what is a registered sex offender?)
If a person in the States has been arrested and convicted of a crime that is sexual in nature (rape/sodomy/etc) they usually get a prison sentence and then probation when released. But then they are also classified as a “registered sex offender -” and must report this status to the authorities in whatever town/city they will be residing in once out of prison.
It varies from state to state, but it would be typical for someone like this to need to register with the address they’ll be living at within 10 days of their release from prison.
They must report to parole officer and they must notify authorities anytime they move or change address.
There are sex offender lists here in the states – and it allows anyone to type their zip code into a website and know the name/address/picture of any convicted sex offenders living in their area.
That’s the way it’s supposed to work anyway. Always will be bad guys that slink off into the night unfortunately.
But, when a new crime takes place, this is a useful tool for LE – to check the alibi’s of known sexual offenders in the area at the time of a crime.

here is a theory 3-4 people abduct this girl two think their taking her for a kidnapping/ransom one of the perps is obsessed with her so he wants to kill her The other two in the group don’t know this they leave the perp with her where she is stashed he kills her. the other two come back fou nd out relized their screwed so they panic they call someone else to help get rid of the evidence. They then stop talking to each other and r no longer friends One person can’t rat on the other because their part of it just has the other is part of it so they got to stick to their albi’s. This case is far more complicated then I realized. Some exchanges on another site between people I believe know each other, were alarming to say the very least. If any of it is true is another story. God forbid it is.
Whomever is involved in Holly’s abduction is dangerous and truly believedthey could pull it off. I have no doubt that more people know about it, but for whatever reasons, are not coming forward. I also don’t believe, from the exchanges, that Holly is no longer with us. This was personal and about power.
If I am out of line, Blink, call me out on it, please….or don’t post. I understand! I’m not sure I even want to know the details of Holly’s disappearance.

Yesterday’s news article (see link below) indicates that investigators believe they are only “one clue away” from cracking the case. Your comments above, coupled with the investigator’s comments, leads to the unfortunate conclusion that LE knows the “who” and the “how,” but need the physical evidence (i.e. Holly) to make an arrest.
Some alleged aspects of this case remind me of the Capano case, in which the brothers helped conceal the murder by disposing of key evidence – hauling away the sofa, etc. Sadly, the victim’s remains were never located, but prosecutors were still able to secure a prosecution based primarily on the testimony of one of the brother’s who ended up pleaing out to save himself.

I, for one, would like to know more about Mr. Barnett. How close is he to Dodd? Do they socialize often? Do they do business together, as in scrap metal? Blink would you elaborate on your statement of “no known evidence” connecting Barnett to Holly’s abduction? Does that include LE?
Much has been debated about Mr. Dodd’s knowing the Bobo family. Mr. Barnett certainly knows them all too well. If Dodd and Barnett are close, that is possibly the connection to Holly.

For what it’s worth, this article says the are VERY close to cracking this case. It also wants to dissuade people from making tip calls about the many rumors swirling around.

I can understand that LE is concerned about “rumor” calls coming into the tipline…BUT IME rumors sometimes can help in solving crimes…I certainly understand the hardship of weeding through these tips- perhaps they shouls set up a different hotline- inorder to capture these rumors and pour over them at a later time…IMO it is a mistake to limit the publics willingness to help and the chance that a simple rumor may lead to other more important info. JMO

One of the pictures is of a “google search” and two entries are circled in red. The entry on the very bottom is http://www.gfrevenge.com. I don’t recommend anyone go look at that link if you are at work. I did, not knowing what it was, but it is some sort of “sexually explicit” site and if I understand correctly, it is “girl friend revenge.” Not quite sure what to make of it. But I agree with you, those postings on the above link are odd.

I understand if u can’t answer…As much as I hate to admit it but, based on your posts and my gut feeling I think that Holly is no longer w/ us…Sure hope I am wrong though. With that being said, in your opinion only, do you believe it was the person(s) intent to kill Holly? Or, like I suspect, there was an ulterior motive, but when things didn’t go as planned at the Bobo house that morning they panicked and things got out of control?
The Dodds are probably hoping for a miracle right now. They seem quite familiar with miracles… seem to see them at work frequently.
Do you believe that le believes that the same person(s) are involved with holly’s disappearance that they initially believed in the beginning?
It sounds like it’s a possibility the one clue they are coming up on is Holly, and then will be able to make an arrest. I hope so.
LE, of course, is always “one tip away” from breaking a case, the indication by LE could perhaps be meant to “spook” the perp(s) into a misstep, which is quite a common tactic in high profile cases, “smoke them out” with the supposed impending fear of capture. If LE were close, I am fairly certain they would not be reporting that information widely to the press, considering what they have NOT released thus far. The concern, of course, is the possibility that they have centralized their efforts in an invalid direction, without the quick turnaround that everyone had expected, this could perhaps be the case.
The DNA they took from this fellow should have been back already. If it matches, then there will be an arrest.
There is probably 10 people within 10 miles of where youor I live that have murdered somebody and the police know it. They just do not have enough evidence to arrest him/her. The prosicutors office makes that decision.
So what about the DNA they have collected..
