Holly Bobo Missing And Endangered: Are Suspects Naming Themselves- Odd Dodd?

Darden, TN–

On the eve of the 4 week anniversary of missing Darden, TN nursing student, Holly Bobo, new investigative details are being learned about the case. Two unofficial persons of interest have taken their case “public” in a way.

While blinkoncrime.com was aware of this information, a decision was made to withhold it in the interests of the cases “active” status previously.

That was, until today, when one of the known person’s of interests in Holly’s disappearance, outed himself publicly.

Jonathan Dodd, son of Bradley Grafton Dodd, and Dena Logan Dodd, chose the Parsons topix forum to “defend” himself against what he termed “death threats”.

Blink, Editor In Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com, was able to confirm the poster on the topix forum was indeed, Jon Dodd.

Speaking exclusively to www.blinkoncrime on the condition of anonymity, an extended family member of the Dodd family, sheds more light on Master Dodd’s claims.

“.. Yes, that is definitely him. I have no idea how he can say he does not know the Bobo family, he went to Scotts Hill with Holly for a short time. Karen Bobo, Holly’s Mom, worked for Grafton Dodd, his grandfather, when he was the principle of the Parson’s junior High when it was still there, Brad and Grafton are on the school board, there is no way that is true what is said.

Jon Dodd High School List From His myspace

When he is saying something was stolen from the property, he is talking about the ATV you wrote about before, when I saw that, I knew you were aware of him.   Sandy  called the sheriffs department before she knew that Holly was missing to report that their ATV was stolen. Sandy is also the cheer leading coach at Riverside High, since forever, and she got into some minor trouble a few years back because she got caught rigging the tryouts. Nothing major, but everyone knew about it. Dena, his Mom, was a teacher at Riverside shortly after he got transferred, which is weird again.

Everyone in this family has been covering for Jon since he was a kid. I could not believe when he stabbed Brad with a scissors when he was about 8 1/2, there was a big cover up. Last year Dena moved to Gwinnett County because the grands let him get away with anything. He has a baby with Shelby Sellers and nobody really even knew about that until after.

Jon went to the great-grandparents for a while in Arab, Ala in 2006 after the girl was killed in the car accident that got his ass beat up when he said she deserved it, and again, nobody said a word. Brad and Dena started up that Boy Scouts thing for him and (redacted by blink).

What is he talking about? What does donate DNA mean? O that is totally him, I can tell by the “I get paid to hunt” or whatever. Speaking of hunting, the abandoned cabin that volunteers found, when Grafton was told, was when he refused permission for any other searches and they got a warrant. Grafton and Sandy were seen removing a mattress from that part of the property, the one they found in the place where the outhouses were used recently. (redacted) saw him in WalMart, he looked at her and said he did not do it, I swear. Really scary.

He (Jon) did not donate DNA, it was taken from him in the parking lot of Tuckers Diner, he did not have a choice. The LE came there and showed some papers. Grafton’s was taken too, but I don’t know were, I heard it was at the area of the Pugh property, by that Shayne Austin’s parents house.

Another doozie…”

The X Factor

A former boyfriend of Holly Bobo’s, Blake Barnett, is also doing nothing to avoid being scrutinized. It is clear from his facebook postings that he is aware of his “celebrity”, and that folks following this case, are reading.

While it does not make him a bad guy, we have confirmed that he has had a background of  alleged violence, in a former relationship with Holly Bobo.

He was the first name utttered by Holly Bobo’s parents, Dana and Karen, when they learned of her abduction.

That said, there is no known evidence linking Mr. Barnett to Holly’s disappearance.

Barnett is no stranger to violence, unfortunately, Blake, his brother and sister lost their parents Timothy and Janice in a brutal murder in 1993.

John Robinson, with actus reus assistance from his wife Kimberly, murdered both of the Barnett’s because they were after him for bounced checks.

Amelia, Blake’s little sister, was left in her crib for 48 hours before police found her while looking for the Barnett’s.  She survived.

There have been no official suspects or persons of interest named in the disappearance of Holly Bobo in 4 weeks.

There has not been a LE update to her case since May 2.

The search effort for Holly Bobo continues.

TR, I’m sure that it could although I really don’t understand…. What would be the political motivation for upping the reward? I guess I’m just not thinking that Holly’s parents were that much into politics…but maybe??? As far as the Governor…I’m sure not everyone is pleased about using state money for this reward when there are so many missing. I don’t think J.D.’s family is pulling any string to find Holly…this is all moo…. Sorry if I’m missing the point…I am born and raised in TN *wink*

I meant no offense to anybody from TN :-) I was just suggesting that sometimes politicians make gestures that help then gain favor in the community or state. If there is a slump in their popularity, they may rally behind a situation to gain public approval. Honestly, I have ZERO idea if that’s the case…I just sort of put it out there as a possibility for why. Regardless, if it helps find Holly, the reason isn’t important.

Just a thought here…thinking about those “recently used outhouses”. Our family has a hunting camp (not in TN though) with an outhouse. I apologize in advance for the “gross” factor here, but I’m wondering if LE has or can get a search warrant to check those outhouses. The chemicals used to maintain one, not to mention the ability to hide something or someone down one, concerns me. I sincerely hope I am really wrong on this.

@ISpy that’s an interesting suggestion. I assume the chemicals used along with the smells in general might throw off scent dogs. I will have to look that up. It’s certainly an out of the way and private place for disposing of a body.

@daydreamer – the misguided belief that a psychopath can be fixed is a large part of what creates that problem. No amount of therapy, counseling, or punishment can change was is born broken.

Though this may be true, there is no excuse for allowing a kid with an issue, like torturing animals, to go without some kind of intervention. Beat their butts, go see a doc, do SOMETHING. It is just plain irresponsible. You either suck up and do your job, or you are totally useless as a parent.

i do think if holly is not alive there was a preplaned place or way to get rid of the body. However that being said with the fact that clint bobo was there i think it messed up the perps plan. Now why you would keep any evidence on you after u commited a crime is just crazy in itself. Personally i don’t think the perps had enough time to dispose of the evidence and thats why some of it they found later
I also think they thought they had more time so more then likely the body has to be somewhere close to where they abducted her in my opion. Thats if she is gone which i dont like to say because you never want to think that.

TR, I apologize if I seemed offended…I really wasn’t at all. Just had to throw that in there and it was meant very lightly. I was really curious as to whether or not I was missing the point to you saying that it could be political. Now I get it…I can just truly be thick skulled sometimes.

I just still feel that if it had anything at all to do with politics that it would have to be more on a local level…I personally don’t have a problem with state funds being used…but I know a lot of people that don’t think that it was cool to raise the reward with state money for one women and not in other cases…ex. Shelley Mooks that dissappeared Feb. 28 of this year. This is very close to were I live. I just feel the difference is that while Holly may have been alive for quite awhile after her abduction, they used it as an incentive to get people to talk…where as Shelley… sorry but it never really looked promising from the beginning… in my opinion.

I don’t think anyone is going to collect the reward money. Surely if anyone had any useful knowledge (outside of people that are in some way involved, either during the actual abduction or in covering it up afterwards)…it would have already been reported. Maybe it has though and we just don’t know????

As I ponder this case I keep thinking about Joran van der Sloot. Entitled golden boy who gets away with one murder, then goes on a gambling junket to Peru and randomly commits another. Just because he could. And then blabbed all over the media in both cases…

Who knows what the two brothers in Aruba who were his friends are covering up? Who knows what his now deceased but well-connected father was hiding? A small island in the Atlantic, a small town in TN.

Wow, the article in the below website link really illuminates the mental disorder afflicting these freaks; describing different catagories of psychopaths. I think the family is not speaking because the guilty would get off on it. They enjoy the pain of others and watching the drama they’ve caused.

I’m curious if they fall into the category of feeling stress and guilt, or feeling nothing at all. I hope we find out soon.

    http://www.cassiopaea.com/cassiopaea/psychopath_2.htm

Snipped from the above website link:

The psychopath is a manipulator, who knows exactly what makes us tick and knows how to manipulate and influence our feelings. They have the talent to spot “kind, caring” women.

Mimicry is often used to convince others that the psychopath is a normal human being. He does this to create a false empathy with his victim. The psychopath will try to make you believe he has normal emotions by spinning some sad tale or professing profound, moving experiences; the truth is, most psychopaths go through life as in an incubator, touched by few and having no real compassion for others; but they will lie to convince you that they have normal emotions.

Hi Jeff, of course we’re hoping for the best outcome but fearing the worst. All I was thinking was that after the fiasco of being seen by Clint, I wonder if there was an accessible, yet private, field that had been plowed for planting — someplace where the earth was already disturbed.

I agree that they must’ve thought they’d have more time with her. Just wondering if there’s a place within a perp’s comfort zone and near the trails, shacks, sheds, outhouses, where plowing for crops might have just been done. This thought seemed much more important last night than it does now! I just figured other posters were already carefully exploring shacks, wells, tunnels, etc. in the area.

They talk and feel each other out as to what their moral boundaries are. They are loose, and a plan is born.

i think the abandon cabin is where they slept to come down and pull this crime off i don’t think they took her there i think they parked at a friends house and went up there and stayed walked or road the atvs up there. You got to think if they used an atv how long can u keeping in unwilling person on one or if u knocked one out ur not going to be driving around in the woods for long like that. They rode on the outskirts of a clearing by the woods to whatever was close They might of even had prepaid phones they got just in case someone needed to contact them More then likely they left her there and came back later after they planted the evidence away from where they stashed her end of story i hope they end up in jail its coming they know it its closing in

There are supposedly uninhabited cabins throughout the Parsons/Darden region where certain young men take young women to rape them. Those cabins are referred to as “rape houses.” Yes, unsavory to say the least.

  39. jeff says:

i think an arrest needs to be made then maybe holly can found

  40. Ragdoll says:

    @jeff,

Blink has indicated a few times that arrests WILL be made. I believe that to mean they know who is involved. Evidence is crucial and that takes time to build a case against the abductors. Doing it right the first time means no getting out of loopholes because of a shotty investigation. That’s exactly what we want!

They’re on it and we need to trust that they know exactly what they’re doing. Keep the faith, as Blink always tells us. :)

Thought I would tell you all about a case here in MI that has SOME similarities to Holly’s. The victim’s (Venus Stewart) estranged husband murdered her in 2008 and was sentenced to life in prison yesterday. He abducted her from her parent’s rural driveway at 7 AM, leaving a tiny amount of blood at the scene. To establish an alibi he got a moron he met on XBoxLive to use his cell phone and credit cards at businesses out of state, after carefully cultivating a big-brother relationship with him. Despite massive searches her body has never been found unfortunatley. However the State Police were able to untangle the complex web of this case and secure a conviction without her body. Like all of you I pray for Holly and the Bobos.
