After 550 plus pages of what amounts to discovery in a likely criminal case, Friday afternoon yielded a window to the world of the investigation of missing 6 year old Isabel Mercedes Celis.
Isa, according to the document release consisting of 6 packets of PDF files of police incident and timesheet reports was last seen by her Father who kissed her goodnight and dimmed her bedroom light after showering and braiding of her hair by her Mother Becky in anticipation of her baseball game the next morning with the Diamondbacks.
Isabel’s baseball Jersey number is #4.
The “goodnight kiss” was the first time the public has heard the actual version in his words containing the account that he was the last person to see Isabel before her disappearance as well as confirm that her window was closed when he closed the door.
Certainly not unexpected to hear a loving father’s tender goodnight detail to his baby girl, but most unexpected was the revelation that on Isabel’s bedroom floor was an obvious area of blood.
While it has not been disclosed whose blood was located on the floor of the southeast middle bedroom located on E 12th St, Sergio and Becky Celis were required to provide blood samples under a warrant obtained a few days later. (more…)
In custody currently for Sierra’s murder is Antolin Garcia-Torres, 21, of San Martin who was booked at Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of murder and kidnapping, said sheriff’s Sgt. Jose Cardoza.
The suspect attended Central High School in Morgan Hill and does not have a serious criminal history except for a 2009 arrest for resisting arrest, KTVU-TV reported. He had worked at a Safeway store on Tennant Avenue in Morgan Hill where he was arrested at about 6 p.m.
In early May, Santa Clara County Sheriff detectives released a picture of a red Jetta with a black hood in order to generate tips, but the vehicle had already been impounded. Sources inside the investigation have confirmed forensic tests indicated Lamar had been in the vehicle.
A news conference is scheduled for this morning. Please check back to www.blinkoncrime.com for updates.
In the latest development in the April 21st disappearance of missing Tucson child Isabel Celis, her father Sergio has been stripped of his physical custodial rights of her brothers.
There has been no confirmation from Tucson Police about the children’s removal and placement, and CPS has only confirmed the boys have been placed with one parent.
Sources inside the investigation have confirmed to www.blinkoncrime.com that evidence gleaned in the investigation has warranted alternative placement of the couples oldest children in the wake of the disappearance of their daughter, Isabel.
The boys, whose names have been reported previously elsewhere but are being intentionally withheld by www.blinkoncrime.com have been placed together, not separately.
Breaking News- Wanted FBI Fugitve Adam Mayes found with a self inflicted gunshot wound, Alex and Kyliyah Bain found safe.
From Fox News:
Adam Mayes, 35, on America’s Most Wanted Fugitive List, was caught in Mississippi, Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards confirmed.
Guntown Police Chief Michael Hall says a SWAT team located Mayes in New Albany, Miss., with the help of a tip. When they moved in to apprehend him, he shot himself.
A law enforcement source initially told Fox News that Mayes died after the shooting, but Edwards says he’s still alive — in critical condition — from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Now facing aggravated kidnapping, first degree murder and felony flight charges, Adam Christopher Mayes has been named on the FBI Most Wanted Fugitive List.
Earlier this week, the discovery of Jo Ann “Jodi Bain” and her eldest daughter Adrienne Bain, buried on the property Mayes recently rented in Mississippi resulted in the arrest of his Mother Mary Frankenfreak Mayes and his matrimonially status- challenged wife, Terre.
All In The Family
This afternoon Scarey Terre’s charges were upgraded to include first degree murder.
Adam Mayes, who was a prior brother in law to Jodi’s husband and father to the girls, Gary, is allegedly responsible for abducting Jodi, Adrienne, Alexandria and Kyliyah from the home in the early morning hours of April 27th.
Adam does not have a criminal history.
Gary Bain did not hear the family leave, and assumed that the girls were in school. When he did not reach Jodi later in the day, he alerted police.
The cause and manner of death of Jodi and Adrienne Bain have not been released, although murder charges have been filed.
However, probable cause warrants for the arrest of Adam and Terre Mayes, say Jo Ann and Adrienne Bain died at their home in Whiteville, TN.
Warrants say Mayes killed Jo Ann and Adrienne in an adjacent garage to the property at 8590 Whiteville-Newcastle Rd in Hardeman County because Mayes believes Alexandria and Kyliyah are HIS DAUGHTERS and they were set to move to Arizona.
A multi-state and multi-agency manhunt is under way for the location of Alex and Ky Bain.
In a press conference this afternoon, the award for the location of the Bain girls and the whereabouts of Adam Christopher Mayes has topped $170,000.
Mayes’ mother-in-law told The Associated Press that Mayes thought he might be the girls’ father and it caused trouble in the marriage to her daughter, who’s jailed in the case.
“She was tired of him doting on those two little girls that he claimed were his,” Josie Tate said in an exclusive phone interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday. In an earlier interview, Tate’s daughter Bobbi Booth said Teresa Mayes suspected her husband was having an affair with Jo Ann Bain.

Tipsters are warned NOT to approach Mayes, but to call the tipline:

On the heels of the appearance of Sergio and Becky Celis first public interview this morning on the Today show, sources inside the investigation have confirmed that Pima County detectives are scrutinizing the prior arrest and prior living arrangements of Justin Mastromarino, Isabel’s cousin. Although Justin was the initial spokesperson for the family immediately after Isabel’s disappearance, he dropped out of sight when investigators could not exclude him as a person of interest.
Mastromarino lived with the Celis family for some time in 2011. The image below was taken in front of the Celis home in June 2011.
