Kyron Horman Missing: New Years Eve Settlement Ends Horman Marriage
Portland, OR- In a surprise court hearing, Judge Henry Kantor signed off on the agreement between Kaine Horman and Terri Moulton Horman to end their marriage this afternoon.
Details of the agreement have not been released publicly, but according to KGW, a financial settlement to include child support and a lump payment to Terri Horman has been reached.
In what can only be described as a bitter family court feud- the divorce matter was last in court on December 16th to decide if the Horman landscaper, Rodolfo Sanchez Estrada -who alleges Terri Horman tried to hire him to murder Kaine Horman at a lunch meeting – would testify.
Judge Kantor has not yet filed an order from that hearing but Attorneys for Terri Horman were granted a continuance from the pending temporary custody motion scheduled for December 19th and 20th.

Not implicating Joe Keefer, but he brings up a type of person who might pull off an abduction of a child at school. Someone who might be seen as a kind of fixture, someone that pops in and out and is related to a staff member. (Mother is a teacher, etc. visits her often, shared transportation, scenarios like that. Someone who is there, but not really there. Maybe someone employed by PPS, but is not really on duty, doesn’t work at Skyline, his wife does, for example. Someone thought to belong, but really has no business being there. Someone in and out and if the staff member were aware of their presence at Skyline that day might not bring up their name to LE; 1) they wouldn’t want to implicate their relative or 2) don’t want to face what their relative might have done.

settlement was as good as she’d get, even if litigated, under Oregon law, even if she did not have
baffoon Kantor and the criminal case posture and did not take the 5th imo. And she had to do what

Hi Malty. At the top is a random SZ, without tie to school. I feel that anyone could have walked in there that day and grabbed any kid willing to “help get X from the truck/car”. I feel that an associate of the school would be scared to be seen with K in the hall/lot and could be identified. I recognize the theory that he could have returned to the school, and that could provide an alibi, but I feel like if that had occurred, someone would have leaked that and we’d know about it. My gut tells me that in my kids’ school someone random and unknown could pull this off in a chaotic science fair environment.

@erose. He laments contracting out in something I read yesterday. My guess is it’s partial and
vested employees could not be let go. Head custodian means as to a particular school.
I was reading back a page or 2 and found several posts I had missed – reminding others to do the same every so often.
Re PPS custodians. The district (stupidly, IMO) let all of the custodians go – seems like it began in 2001. That meant the union was no longer functional and they thought they would save money. The custodians sued. Meanwhile PPS contracted with a company who hired and trained disabled workers and I’m not sure who else. (I was not a fan of some of their supervisors who came around and visited the workers – they hired some of my former students but did not understand or work well with them.) It took a long time, but PPS lost and was told to hire them all back. They tried to comply (as far as I know) but many had retired or moved to other districts or non-school jobs.

These links show what a mess it was legally and for public relations, but that was the tip of the iceberg. So many old buildings were “kept alive” by people who understood their boilers, plumbing, and creaks and cracks, and could look at a pile of keys and have a pretty good idea which went where – it was a matter of pride and knowing how it helped kids and staff to do what they did.
Anyway, by 2010, the fired custodians who wanted to return were back and a lot of new hires were added.

Early in my training I spent a great deal of time and the various permutations of pedophilic behavior. I did so, because quite frankly, the deviance factor is prevalent in many more complex and devious offenders. And, because to be honest, it is the illness that I just cannot understand when it is choice-based regardless of how one “gets that way.”
I have mentioned Former SA Ken Lanning often in this regard because I consider him the world’s expert on the disorder and he taught me this- Normal people can understand the literature, the case studies and the empirical data but you cannot train yourself to think like the offender you are trying to catch-

I could be wrong, but IIRC, janitors are on the list of PPS employees, at least in 2010. Someone once posted a link here. That is where I first came across BK’s brother. Maybe all that discussion went the way of DAD threads, because I can’t find that discussion anymore, but I do recall someone posted he followed Sam Adam’s tweets, which is really the only weird thing I ever saw. Landscaper’s/gardeners were contracted through the City of Portland, I think.

Yes, thanks to all for the correction. Anselmo was on the ICE hold, not Jaime. I wish I could say for sure whether the link to Javier was through Rudy, Jaime, or Anselmo. I believe it was Anselmo and would have liked to locate my original post to be sure. It took a lot of digging to find that connection.
I didn’t realize, or somehow overlooked that Stephen Houze is the go-to criminal defense attorney for the Portland Trail Blazers. I see he defended at least one for some drug charges (marijuana, now legal btw) in the past.
If this is a cover-up, we’ve all guessed it must have big money behind it. I have wondered in the past if this steroid ring that the Horman’s were somehow involved in would have showed clients from not only LE, but BIG MONEY, such as Intel or maybe even baseball or basketball teams. With all that’s gone on in the court battles, not to mention being able to bring in Wagner either, I’m sure Terri must have rung up one hell of a legal bill.
I’m specifically thinking about a comment in the “sexts” where MC asks Terri how she’s going to pay for Houze, and she says someone has a good idea. (Did this someone know about these cancelled checks like Dede did?) So, what if, it’s just a what if, TMH was able to secure Houze, because perhaps just one of those teeny-weeny cancelled checks has something to do with a very tall ball player?
