Kyron Horman Missing: New Years Eve Settlement Ends Horman Marriage
Portland, OR- In a surprise court hearing, Judge Henry Kantor signed off on the agreement between Kaine Horman and Terri Moulton Horman to end their marriage this afternoon.
Details of the agreement have not been released publicly, but according to KGW, a financial settlement to include child support and a lump payment to Terri Horman has been reached.
In what can only be described as a bitter family court feud- the divorce matter was last in court on December 16th to decide if the Horman landscaper, Rodolfo Sanchez Estrada -who alleges Terri Horman tried to hire him to murder Kaine Horman at a lunch meeting – would testify.
Judge Kantor has not yet filed an order from that hearing but Attorneys for Terri Horman were granted a continuance from the pending temporary custody motion scheduled for December 19th and 20th.

I realize I am the “loop recording” on this issue- anyone referencing a cell ping in relation to TH and the tower on Sauvie as relevant evidence has no idea what they are talking about. Additionally- I would posit the question- what has MCSO done to preserve the forensic “phone data” in this case? Have they requested analysis on pings from a Federal source who specializes in same? I am standing firm on this issue- there is no “incriminating” ping that ties to TH. What would be hugely interesting, is to know what other tower records this investigation has.

I didn’t realize they were searching near Sauvie Island however I am not surprised. I have always believed from very early that Kyron was kept on the island or very near it and probably wound up in the outlying Columbia or Willamette.
AS- can I ask why you have that opinion? From my perspective, and I know what the “base” issue is- TH proved to a very unsympathetic LE that she was never on SI on June 4th. In fact, the FBI supported her account.

IDK if DY has been told to back off or not, but she mentions KHWS as her supporters and they are posting that she is coming for TH and so are they.
As far as DDS is concerned, she absolutely has (backed off) and that is noteworthy in her interviews. The problem with that is that (DDS) is the central issue to their theory yet she is proceeding under the same auspice. I seriously cannot believe the inept interviews and reporting.

Someone should tell DY that even if she found evidence against TH it wouldn’t matter. As long as LE does not know what happened to KY they will not charge TH. What to charge custodial interference, murder (when many still think he is alive somewhere) kidnapping of the child you are already responsible for. Conspiracy but conspiracy to what. DY needs to stop focusing on evidence against TH and start actually looking for Kyron and by now it’s pretty clear he is probably nowhere near Skyline
As far as circumstantial evidence against goes I don’t think they have enough. After all the chalk and stalk hater pages out and out lies DY has said about DDS And TH. I mean DY has announced she is going put TH in jail no matter what it takes. I think she told so many lies about DDS I think she is currently under a cease and desist order. Would any reasonable judge jury believe any testimony she gave against TH? So anything she has or anyone in her family has to say is out. So whAt would be left? iMO DY has been her own worst enemy here.

@Blink, I have to add that first the pings put TH on Sauvie Island but the search is now “near” Sauvie Island in Forest Grove. Then her suspicious pings are in the Skyline area where she took Kyron to school and where she lives. What is so strange and incriminating about that.
What reporter wouldn’t ask why Sauvie Island, the alleged location of the pings, is no longer being searched and if the pings were “near” SI in the first place then why was so much SAR time focused on a place they never were sure TH was.

Perhaps Young declined a new individual email or phone interview. Perhaps mcso refused to comment? If DY and mcso were both no comment by the O’s apparent interview approach, phone and email, then that is newsworthy.

What is the purpose (there is always a purpose) of LE to permit the agony of the DY searches to remain so public, the DY announcements about the searches, the DY hissing about TMH again and again, the entire show? What is this gaining? What is LE gaining? What might be produced for LE to use — accurately, not any other way — via these annual heart-tugging searches?
What information comes their way after these searches? Does ANY information help them or is it a matter of junk science that they do not want and that DY possibly knows they do not want?
What might KR’s reasons be for making such a blunt point about KH not helping? Do these people go back in time in their emotions and remember the Horman-Davidson marriage and believe that KH is still a selfish jerk who refuses to help an obviously noble cause?
I sometimes do think that. I sometimes do think that so much of the emotions and lack of logic on the part of DY and her family is based on those years long ago when she was married to KH and things tanked quickly. Sometimes I honestly think these searches are her way of refusing to acknowledge that maybe KH has better info, and better fundraising, concerning her son, and that once again, KH has the upper hand and she doesn’t and she never will. I now often think that DY is a very deeply angry ex-wife and it is coloring her decisions with terrible hues.
How does “Terri doesn’t make friends”, help her find Kyron? I would think one would want Terri to be out making friends, lots of them, with loose lips. Makes no sense to me. Does anyone have bead on what she means by that?

I for some reason am not able to copy/paste a snip of this story, but I found it interesting that 20+ years later, “investigators have suspect, but haven’t named this individual”. Wow. Sure seems to be a lot of boys missing out of the K Falls area in relation to population there. His case remains unsolved and is classified as a non-family abduction.

I was also upset by reports that ALL the searchers, including allegedly the dog team professionals, were upset a set of bones were found. Why did they not expect that in Skyline or Forest Park? No professional prepared or apparently supervised these 60 people. the emotionally involved aren’t a good search match imo.

The Medford Police K-9 program began in May of 1992. The Officer Friend & K-9 Cody Officer Friend and K-9 Cody unit was started with K-9 Oxer, a Belgian Malinois. Oxer set the high standards for today’s K-9′s in the department. Oxer and his most recent handler, Officer Tony Young, were an effective team. In September of 1999, K-9 Oxer had to be euthanized as a result of a medical condition. Oxer is missed by all of us at the Medford Police Department. A plaque dedicated to Oxer’s memory has been installed in front of City Hall.
K-9′s continue to be a valuable asset to the Medford Police Department.

Thanks Malty, I looked at some of those websites, but the one’s I tried to use when I was aging Kyron’s photo, needed to run some sort of java script, which Firefox said wasn’t safe. Oddly, I had used the same one years ago, before Kyron went missing, when I was looking at another missing person case and I never got infected or computer virus, so who knows. Times have changed.
That last one costs 200 bucks to get an age progression, pricey stuff, but if it were my relative missing, I’d pay to have several done to see if they came up with a truer representation, but then, that’s just me.

I think it’s outrageous as well. But what is missing from this report is just who makes/made this type of decision and what gives them the authority to do so. Says transfer was run by a prosecutor, but since when do prosecutors have the ability to grant a change in prison status for an already convicted felon? Hell, the Governor didn’t even know about it. T.Ruth- I could be wrong, but given the level of private study of the casefiles of Ridgeway in my FBI written syllabus/curriculum (s)- I do not believe for a millisecond Ridgeway is being moved for a job, or for perks that do not have everything to do with what might be needed from him- for whatever reason. That could include enhanced security, surreptitious recordings, advances in a local case, etc. Ridgeway is one of the most prolific serials in US history. He is not getting a pass and the reason nobody is in “the know” is because right now it is “need to know”. As I recall, there are almost as many alleged victims that have not been identified as those that have-

About Ridgeway, everyone I know in WA has been hoping that he is connected to a case outside of King County because then all deals are off. His recall of his victims was abysmal and demoralizing. King County is bordered by 6 counties, though the Green River, his dumping grounds, is in King County.
What could he have or know that earned him extra credit? If he has been in solitary all this time, it is hard to believe he is a jailhouse snitch. If he is talking about his own crimes then he has violated his own agreement with King County. I have to believe he has information about criminal activity that predates his incarceration. JMO.
Oh, and notice they dumped the news on a 3 day weekend. Those rascals.

I agree and it behooves us to remember that the last thing we heard from those in charge, a long, long time ago, was that “no one has been cleared”.
And that, IMHO, means they have no idea who took Kyron from that school, therefore, they cannot disassociate that someone from anyone. They have no suspect. They have no nothin’. What still makes zero sense to me is not releasing some kind of description of the man who asked for Kyron’s help. Could it be he was identified and has a rock-solid alibi and he was truly just asking Kyron for help? IDK, but that to me is the really weird part. Who was this masked man, Tonto?

Might answer our questions, and one of my points was, it didn’t mention in the report whether or not a reporter even asked the question: *If the Governor was not even informed of this move, then who authorized it?*
Where has reporting gone? At best he/she could have asked and at least told us there was “no comment”.

He deserves for us to find him. 5 years is too long, the wait has been too long. It’s time for us to be more aggressive in narrowing our search areas and we cannot do that without your tips. This sounds like DY is getting desperate for any clues about what happened to KY. She must have a list somewhere of the tips published in the media So what is she looking for here anyone who had any tips and reads any of her face books or gofundme pages have related any tips they had for DY about TH and or KY long ago.
If she thinks she is going to hear from TH’s friends I don’t think any of them read their pages and even if they did who wants to become fodder for the hater pages.
The majority of people liking reading and sharing the hater pages these days are people who don’t even live in Oregon and would never have met TH.

Thanks for the article. That was one good looking dog. Curious to me why the article is written in 1999, yet it says it was somehow updated in 2011, some 12 years later and a year after Kyron went missing. Weird, but I don’t know how all this stuff works. Who knows, maybe it’s the same as it was written to begin with.
The only other interesting thing is that it does state in 1999, TY was living with both his dog, Oxer and his wife Patty. Just makes me wonder when their divorce was and if there could possibly be a motive in there somewhere. Doubt it, and I’m sure LE has already been down those avenues, but thanks for the link.

Davidsons grandiosely have used their media contacts (spokesperson Stacey) to inform the public of their email tipline and call for anyone who reported anything to do with Terri etc to the mcso tipline to duplicate that reporting to them so they can conduct their own investigation. I can see raising money to hire a PI. I can’t see the Davidsons acting as investigators without a license. They are usurping professionals.
I guess maybe I am confused as to what tipline they are referring to.
