Orlando, FL– In the latest of what seems to be a mounting stockpile of concerns regarding tot mom defense attorney Jose Baez and a member of the defense team, Todd Macaluso, The Orlando Sentinel released the latest bombshell: The Florida Bar DENIED BAEZ ADMISSION the first time around.
Jose Angel Baez, currently under investigation by the Florida Bar Association (FBA) in a minimum of 3 separate inquiries was denied admission to the Florida Bar following his initial application in 1999. This information is in stark contrast with an interview given by Baez below where he states (paraphrase) he made a monetary and travel decision to wait 8 years for FBA membership.
Baez appealed the decision of the FBA to the Florida Supreme Court, which governs the Florida Bar. In their decision, they agreed with the FBA, issuing an order in 2000 that cataloged unpaid bills, extravagant spending and other “financial irresponsibility” up to that time. Justices reserved their strongest condemnation for his failure to stay current on support payments for his only child.
His overall behavior, they wrote, showed “a total lack of respect for the rights of others and a total lack of respect for the legal system, which is absolutely inconsistent with the character and fitness qualities required of those seeking to be afforded the highest position of trust and confidence recognized by our system of law.”
There has been much public outrage about the possibility that the media or Entertainment rights brokers are footing the bill for Jose Baez and his hand-selected dry aged dream team. Could we be close to finding out the truth?
The latest discovery documents, ongoing Florida Bar Investigation into his representation and this Friday’s Special hearing request by the State’s Attorney’s Office all seem to include a common denominator: Kaitlyn Folmer and abc.
Ms. Folmer is an NYU grad and producer at ABC. She has credits for segment production on the Good Morning America Show and several bi lines as a reporter. She also has a large expense account apparently. It has been verified through several witness interviews and security footage directly from the Ritz Carlton; She paid the Camp Casey dinner at Norman’s for 10 people and 4 rooms for 3 days. She had help.
The following is an UPDATE from the previously posted story … ‘Todd Black … Jose Baez (Defense Attorney for Casey Anthony) and the Florida Bar … Could There be Further Inquiry … REQUEST FOR INQUIRY/COMPLAINT FILED!’
The Florida Bar has confirmed with me directly today that it is investigating the most recent complaint inquiry against Jose Baez, attorney for Casey Anthony, contained in this article, ref #09-14647. There will be no further comments from the FBA while it continues it’s investigation into the filing.
I spoke exclusively with Mark Nejame, Previous Attorney for George and Cindy Anthony, currently representing Texas Equusearch for comment:
“Given what has been brought to light about the identity of Todd Black by your investigative efforts and his representation of Jose Baez, I am considering filing a complaint with the Florida Bar. I have had personal experiences with Mr. Black or whoever he is where he represented himself as an agent for Jose Baez. I am going to reach out to the bar on the issue as to my ethical responsibility as a member to do so.”
The following is a rather interesting email that I received today regarding further potential inquiry by The Florida State Bar into Todd Black, not his real name, and the Law Firm of Casey Anthony defense attorney Jose Baez. It appears that a new request for inquiry has been filed with the FL State Bar. This is not the first time that content from Scared Monkeys has been used during litigation. The Dr. Phil attorneys used many postings as defense exhibits in in the case of Deepak & Satish Kalpoe v. Dr. Phil.
Since the Nancy Grace Show recently received a nasty gram from Todd Black we decided to earlier today forward this email in hopes that they might reference it in tonight’s show. We shall see if its mentioned during Nancy Grace’s coverage of the Caylee/Casey Anthony case this evening.

As a result of the Todd Black/Gil Cabot outing party on Nancy Grace last night, an inside source forwarded Blink an email sent to them directly from “Giltod”, the PR rep formerly known as:

Subject: LEGAL NOTICE
A tabloid style television program committed a libelous act by falsely stating that attorney Jose Baez hired an ex-felon to handle P.R. and they ill have to answer to that slander when served with a lawsuit.
Legal Notice is hereby given that Press Corps Media Stateside will not tolerate outright lies and damaging innuendo disseminated about our company by the media.
Gil Cabot sold his company in 1996 and we merged our Canada office with a media marketing group to expand our services in 2003, and the fact that Mr. Cabot was retained as a consultant has no bearing on our contracted
clients. We assign security names for insurance and security purposes, as with “Todd Black” – a security name which has been used in rotation by three different staff members on this case, and whether Mr. Cabot also
participated in that rotation makes no difference whatsoever.
Press Corps Media is paid by a family who took an interest in the case, and is not paid by Mr. Baez. Our services are of no major consequence to this case. We simply answer media calls, provide information and/or arrange
interviews. Our services are an important, but minor part of assisting attorneys with coordinating events and scheduling. Even when often dealing with extreme bias from some newspeople, we have always been courteous and
respectful to everyone, and we will continue our professional conduct as this case moves to trial.
