Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Caylees Autopsy Revelations Part I

Orlando, FL– Under heavy objection last Friday afternoon, Judge Stan Strickland denied the motion on behalf of George and Cindy Anthony to seal Caylee Marie Anthonys autopsy until their daughter Caseys capital murder trial in their granddaughters death. Late Friday afternoon, the Findings of Dr. Jan Garavaglia, Chief Medical Examiner of Orange County were released. In Part I, we explore a few of the notable findings, In Development for Part II, Blinkoncrime will be is creating an interactive 3D Model, incorporating the evidence recovery field, bone disbursement pattern, and anatomical example of the duct tape placement.

The Laundry Bag

WhitneyLaundryBagAlthough the report contains a significant amount of anthropologic and forensic data, it does not contain photos or X-Rays, pursuant to the Earnhardt exclusion under Florida Law. Blinkoncrime.com will attempt to offer some observations and in some cases, correct some erroneous information that is being reported in the msm. For starters, the laundry bag picture being circulated, it is incorrect, the image to the left is the correct bag, note the dimensions are exact. The top of this bag does not cinch.

The Duct Tape

I have seen rampant speculation on the duct tape beginning around 15 minutes following the release of the report.  DuctThere are many who believe that Casey Anthony killed her child by wrapping her nose and mouth with duct tape. Allow me to point out the report actually reflects the antithesis of this theory. First, there IS NO TAPE ON THE POSTERIOR of her skull. The only posterior placement of the tape mentioned is still located on the mandible, or face. The tape, which was actually small strips of grey cloth-based, delaminating tape is applied on top of itself, not really feasible with a live toddler. Given the findings that Caylee’s mandible stayed in almost true anatomical position, although slightly posterior and that the hair that was attached to the tape extended from the back of her head and over her head and face, it is likely Caylee was laying on her back when the tape was applied.  Henkel makes 2 kinds of duct tape, one is more Industrial grade of adhesive “hot set” over cloth designed for waterproof and outdoor projects. It has not yet been disclosed which formulation was used.

The O Sign

A contributing poster at blinkoncrime gave me something to think about that had not occurred to me. I am on record stating I do believe that Casey Anthony murdered her daughter, and that she will end up pointing the finger at one or both of her parents as a defense strategy.

However, the duct tape never really fit for me. I have always believed it to be a post mortem tactic to stage a kidnapping. I do believe I may have been wrong. Very well known to medical and critical care professionals, there is something called an O effect; occurring at very near death, or shortly following death and before rigormortis sets in.

Some medical people refer to it when the person is very near death or has just died–the jaw drops open. Nothing left to hold the mandible shut. In morgue kits there is a strap that is applied around the jaw to gently close it before rigor sets in. This “O” sign can be very pronounced and unsettling to see first hand. Casey probably wasn’t aware of this and was really spooked by this silent scream and used the duct tape then put a heart sticker on it as a ________

This makes sense to me. The tape is applied in small strips across the nose and mouth areas, catching her hair in the face over the Coronal plane region. One interpretation that may be drawn is that Caylee was lying on her back, upon seeing what Casey had done to her child as evidenced by the relaxed mandible; she attempted to “fix her”. As if covering up the evidence of death on her baby would change things, complete with a heart sticker. No sooner did I arrive at this conclusion on Saturday, did I see Dr.Michael Baden appear on Geraldo Live on Sunday evening bringing up the mortuary kit issue. I am not saying this idea originated here, not that it would be the first time, but it at least tells me there is corroboration within the forensic Medical community as to the premise. The FBI report on the duct tape has not been released. One thing is certain, what I have been stating all along about Casey’s prints being on the duct tape seems foreboding. With multiple strips of tape, chances are there are several. The defense has had this report for months, is this why Casey Anthony retained Todd Macaluso?

Swim Diaper?

There are several remnants recovered that are described as a diaper or pull ip item. However, there are a few that appear to be strictly synthetic. When I read the report, my immediate reaction based on some of the coloring was that it was a “swimmie”, or disposable swim diaper. After mapping out the dimensions and a closer look, I believe it is actually referring to remnants of both a pull up, a reusable swim diaper, or swim floation/assistance device or both, as pictured here:

CayleeSwim2 CayleeSwim-1 SwimDiaper-2

PrincessDiaper Diapergarbage

Paper Towels

Simply stated there is decomposition fluid on paper towels in the plastic garbage bag found in her trunk that came from Tony Lazzarros apartment.

In my opinion, Casey ripped the bag Caylees remains were in when she moved her body into or out of the trunk to her final resting place in the woods off Suburban. The stain in the trunk, emitting the ungodly stench, was the target of the paper towels after Casey returned to TonE’s apartment. She brought the paper towels and garbage bag out with her in an attempt to clean it up and realized almost immediately it was an excerise in futility. Immediately following are her comments to Amy about George Anthony borrowing her car, and the infamous squirrel stowaway story.

Her Clothes

In contrast to only a stitching remnant with a manufactures tag left of her shirt, Caylees shorts were found nearly 2 ft ft away from the laundry bag, in relatively good condition. Based on the reports findings of trunk and femural animal activity and the corresponding recovery area, I am of the opinion that it is not possible that Caylee was wearing those shorts when she was dumped in the woods. Frankly, given the fact that the actual color stripe pattern was discernable versus the condition of the other items, I am suspect Casey was in those woods more than once. How do you get only the collar of a shirt remaining and her shorts completely intact with no noted damage? Lastly, Caylees shoes if she were wearing any, were not recovered.

Maura, love your post they are always informative. You always have your T’s crossed and I’s dotted.

That being said, in regards to the latter part of your post #693 regarding Caseys cell phone pings on July 3rd. Is it possible Casey was at Lees house or near Lees house when Cindy text Casey at 2:50pm?

Reason for question: In the Tony L. undercover taped conversation with Lee, Lee mentioned that he lives 2 roads away from G & C’s house (part 2, around 6:36 min. through the conversation). I am not sure what distance 2 roads equals in that area.

    Thank you!

  8. mackiezmom says:

IMO, George’s reference to Caylee as “my granddaughter” does not fall in line with dehumanizing a victim, by not using their name.

In many instances, people will say “the child”, for instance, the defense for Huckaby in the Sandra Cantu, where they refer to a little second grade girl as Ms. Cantu. That is an obvious attempt to dehumanize her…to objectify her.

When a parent or grandparent says “My baby” or “my granddaughter”, it’s more of a possessive thing… often done unintentionally, I believe. But it illustrates the closeness of the child to the speaker, rather than minimizing the significance of the child, or objectifying them.

After the countless documents and research I’ve read concerning this case, it appears that the Anthony’s are trying to protect Casey. Although, this doesn’t appear to be consistent. There are times since Caylee’s “disappearance” (murder), where they Casey’s seemed genuinely outraged at Casey. I imagine the situation is quite surreal for them. First, their granddaughter is murdered, and then it becomes obvious that their daughter was involved in the murder. I believe that they have tried to convince themselves that Caylee must have died some other way. Survivor’s guilt… since they didn’t stop Casey, if she did it, then they’re responsible (in their own minds…though I believe Casey killed Caylee on her own, and had help with cover up from people other than her parents). If their minds can figure out some way for that not to be true, then they’re all victims. What do they have left? A child-murdering, sociopathic, liar of a daughter… but if there is some way for that not to be true, then there is a certain peace and freedom for them. I believe that they now know that Casey did this, though they are still pursuing some other explanation, that absolves her (and subsequently, them).

I can tell you that it is a common phenomenon for a parent of a child who has died to blame themselves. This is pervasive with nearly all parents who have children who have died. Without respect to cause of death. Parents hold themselves responsbile for medical malpractice “I should have know that he was sick”, even when a child was seen by a doctor hours or days prior to their death, and misdiagnosed. Parents will hold themselves responsible when a child is killed in an auto accident, while visiting their other parent…states away. Parents will hold themselves responsible when their son is wise enough to abstain from driving after a Labor Day party, and mistakenly gets in the car with an adult who is (unbeknownst to the kid) DUI…and the kid (who abstained) is killed. These are all real stories, real accounts, of real parents, who were NOT responsible for their childrens’ deaths. Also, these stories of holding one’s self responsible, the survivor’s guilt of parents (and siblings) of children (of any age) who die, are often only shared in child-loss support meetings.

I don’t think that the Anthony’s had any part in Caylee’s death. I think that they were terrified when she was gone for such a long time, and the thought that Casey murdered her was anathema. That the death smell in the car horrified them..that they knew in their hearts then that Caylee was dead, but were in self-denial about Casey’s involvement. For it MUST be their fault, if there daughter did this.
And I can say… I don’t believe it was their fault, at all. But what they’re doing with the lies and cover ups, after having confirmed that Caylee is dead, the duct tape pointing to murder, etc… is something that they are responsible for… something that they will have to answer to God for.

My hope is that at some point the Anthony’s will get some counseling and support, and come clean with all that they discovered. It will mean that Casey is forced to accept responsibility for her actions, and I hope that it will be a cathartic, soul cleansing experience for them.

The Anthony’s are clearly victims in this. They are perpetuating their own suffering, and disgracing the memory of Caylee. “The Truth Will Set You Free”

” where they Casey’s seemed genuinely outraged at Casey.” above, should actually read

  10. Maura says:

I finally read Lee’s ZG deposition, and while he does talk about Casey’s Blanchard Park version of the story, he most certainly got the date wrong. In his deposition, he said (several times IIRC) that Casey told him that story when she was first bonded out of jail. She was in jail from the afternoon of June 16 until the morning of August 21. So in the deposition, he was claiming he did not hear that kidnapping-at-the-park story until after August 21.

However, Cindy mentioned that story in her FBI interview on July 30 and George mentioned that story in his interview on July 31. My first thought was that perhaps Casey gave this new version of the kidnapping in a letter that she passed to Lee via Baez, but if that were the case, then Cindy and George would have read the letter to. Also, IIRC, Lee said Casey told him that version when he and Casey were sitting in the Anthonys’ living room. My current thought is that Casey told him that story on the morning of July 16, after Yuri Melich dropped her off around 6:30am and before Appie Wells and John Allen picked her up at noon to take her to Universal.

FBI transcripts are not available, so these are my notes from the videotapes:

Cindy on July 30, talking to FBI agent Scott Bolin:

“The FBI agent explained to Cindy that hard part is that LE has to deal with the investigation in a systematic way. They have to look at motive (sexual predator, money, etc.). And one thing the investigators cannot do is leave out the family. When they can’t get the answers they need from the family (not including Cindy) . . . In this case, the last person who was with Caylee is Casey, and Casey is not giving them the information they need. FBI agent mentioned Mark Lunsford as an example of a father who was furious that LE wouldn’t clear him for the first three weeks of the investigation.

Cindy said Casey told Lee that Casey and Caylee were at Blanchard Park with Zanny and Zanny’s sister. Zanny’s sister has children (Cindy doesn’t know if that’s true). The sister was leaving with Caylee and when Casey asked what they were doing, Zanny pushed Casey to the ground and threatened her. She allegedly said, “Listen, Bitch, I’m going to teach you a lesson. You’re not getting Caylee back”

The agent asked if this happened on the 14th.

Cindy said Casey’s original story was of dropping Caylee off at the babysitter’s apartment. That is the story Casey wanted to be public and the story she wanted detectives to know.”

    ***

George on July 31, talking to FBI agent Scott Bolin:

FBI agent wants to know if George thinks it’s more likely that Casey was knocked to the ground by the nanny or if there was an accident [I assume he was referring to pool scenario]. It’s hard for the FBI to believe the Zanny theory because none of the people Casey is saying are involved are identifiable to the FBI, and there are no witnesses among family or friends who can verfify that this nanny even exists. No old or new friends knew this nanny. Casey is saying she was knocked down in front of witnesses, but there are no witnesses who saw anything that happened. Casey is the only person who claims Zanny exists.

George said he and Cindy had been talking about Casey’s boyfriends and how they could be involved. Casey’s newest friends (last 4-6 weeks) are new friends that George and Cindy had never met and had no phone numbers for or any other information. George had been told about marijuana use at Tony’s apartment and wondered if Caylee was taken because she (Casey/Caylee) saw something drug-related. George wondered if Casey stole a large amount of cash or jewelry from someone and Caylee was taken by that person to teach Casey a lesson and wouldn’t return Caylee for a certain number of days.

George mentioned that Ricardo is a new person in Casey’s life, and George and Cindy knew nothing about the planned trip to PR – they had just heard about the whole thing after Casey’s arrest. George said Jesse has a terrible temper and is still in Casey’s life and trying to control her, so George and Cindy wondered if Jesse could be “Zanny the Nanny” who held Casey down at Blanchard Park on a certain day and took Caylee.

  11. Maura says:

Casey’s cell phone bill was overdue. Just before Cindy got to Tony Lazzaro’s apartment on July 15, Casey had been using the computer and her phone. She received a call from a collection agency, and at 6:30pm Casey received an AT&T text message statung that a $574.60 debit had been authorized to pay for her cell phone bill (Casey attempted to electronically transfer that amount from Amy Huizenga’s checking account). The text read: “AT&T Free msg: Pmt conf #QPSCAC237316569. Bank Acct debit authorized for $574.60 on 07/15/08 and successfully posted to Acct 04985420-001-04.”

On July 19, after two attempts to transfer the money, the transaction was cancelled for insufficient funds (Casey had already drained the account and on the morning of July 16, Amy had shut down the checking account).

I am sure that is why the service on Casey’s cell phone was cut off. Earlier in the discovery, it was mentioned that Casey’s monthly cell phone bill ran around $300-400, so a $575 bill may have represented two months’ worth of usage. Since she was so far behind on the bill, she was cut off.

  12. Maura says:

IIRC, Lee said he lives two neighborhoods away. George and Cindy live on Hopespring and Lee lived on Eagle Feather. Mapquest shows their houses are 1.4 miles apart.

Yes, Casey could have been pinging from Lee’s house, but I can’t think of any reason why should would have gone there. She would have had reason to make a run to the Anthony house (knowing that it was empty) or to the wooded area off Suburban.

And it’s possible that she never entered either Anthony neighborhood that afternoon. She may have just been within a few miles of that cell tower.

  13. Kleat says:

Yep, Maura, thanks for filling in some gaps for me about the Blanchard Park vs Sawgrass ‘switcheroo’.

Listen to the last jail videotape of Lee with Casey– July 28th, nearing the end of the 3rd part (wftv version)

Here’s a cluoo to the switcheroo– I’m wondering if Lee is telling Casey, look, things have now changed from a month ago when you’ve been ‘following a certain thing’, and he tells her that ‘those rules now have changed’. Lee is being cryptic– well trying to be. But what he is telling her is to change her story, unless someone has a better idea??

I wonder IF the switcheroo to Blanchard story, was because the M&Ms client, the real woman named ZG with the right apartment attachment and the right NY (out of state) licence plates, whose name Casey got from somewhere (if from a visitor’s card, she wasn’t thinking ahead again!).

The problem came when this Sawgrass scenario led directly to the lap of the target person Casey added to her little story and LE came up with that person. That was Casey’s big mistake because in targeting a real person at Sawgrass, she made it impossible to keep the kidnapper a ‘mystery’ person who would always be out there, always giving her story very ‘reasonable doubt’.

So, there needed to be a change– thus, Maura’s observations about Cindy to Scott B’s conversation (early half of those FBI tapes I haven”t watch recently again yet, so thanks!) narrows when this new Blanchard Park was ‘created’.

Now, to find the video in which Casey has this story ready for public announcement via jailhouse video production—

Lee might have set up the suggestion to Casey– give us a different version, Cindy was in on it, they figured stuff out and got the new story seal of approval from all concerned (Baez too, maybe… but he would not want to know the ‘creation’ part).

  14. Kleat says:

(I wonder if THIS is what ‘Lee knows what he has done’, advising Casey to reformulate her ‘story’, telling her it now has to be different, and doing it right where LE could hear every word)

  15. Sue says:

In reading comment #808 – Mackiezmom – I am exhausted reading your reasoning for G&C Anthony covering for Casey’s evil deeds. While I agree with everything that you say, I am taken back at the amount of energy (negative energy) it took for the Anthony’s to carry on the way they did from the beginning when they realized Caylee was missing, and all the way to their most recent antics of attempting damage control for Casey. The amount of energy involved, that took away from finding the truth behind Caylee’s murder, was/is absolutely phenomenal. When I recall all the devious, manipulative, secretive, actions throughout this whole case, I am left thinking that it would have been so much easier to let the truth play out without all the cover up. I am not in their shoes, thank God, but imagine all that energy spent trying to swim upstream against the rapids and then realizing you haven’t gotten anywhere – because the evidence is going to come out for what it is anyway.

    R.I.P CAYLEE

  17. Kleat says:

Ok—— I am convinced that what Lee did, was to advise Casey that the rules changed and she needed to change her story, the nanny story wasn’t going to work as it might have a month before.

The Mn’M depo of Lee is telling– not only has Lee never told this ‘new’ story about Blanchard Park abduction, to LE, he ‘never had the conversation with Casey’ to ask her why the change. Lee’s antenna’s were not up for ‘why’ Casey would change the story. Why not? Because Lee knew the story needed to change after Mn’M's client was discovered and the Sawgrass version fell apart, and Lee advised Casey to think of a new story. And then there was the added coverup of ‘threats’ with this new story (vs what Casey told Cindy, jailhouse video– she hadn’t received any threats because she hadn’t been talking to anyone).

Cindy was already setting the new stage for the new more workable story, Lee was the messanger to warn Casey July 28th to be prepared to shift gears to a non-Sawgrass version.

The Mn’M depo is several pages from about pg 90 to well over pg 100, with the key being ‘why didn’t Lee ask Casey why the change’, why wasn’t that an alert to him when he heard the new version.

And it’s interesting that Mn’M does not post Lee’s depo on their website with the other depos and docs. What Lee has said in his depo is an admission that the family must have known that their client, Zenaida Gonzalez and any story related to Sawgrass, was false. (Casey didn’t think so far ahead so family helped her fix it).

(and George– he says he never even heard the Blanchard Park story– yet that new story is the basis for ‘threats’ against his family– that is something that the man of the family would want to know about!!! Especially a person working in security and past police officer– and he would want to make sure his own family security and PI’s knew of these threats from the kidnappers. )

To me it boils down to this: The Anthonys have told SO MANY conflicting lies, in hopes of saving Casey, that it’s almost like they are bogged down in quicksand and can’t get out! Surely, WITH THE RIGHT KIND OF LEGAL REPRESENTATION this would not have occured. It’s almost pathetic to see them “in action.” Hopefully, with time, they will start to face reality. They have been very quiet lately. Perhaps, they are finally accepting “the truth”, and in doing so will finally begin to heal. I think most people would forgive them if they just admitted their mistakes, and asked for understanding and forgiveness.

    Kleat-
Re: #799, Defense attorneys are within their bounds to argue that someone other than their client committed the crime. It is rarely a successful tactic, particularly where there are no charges pending against the target (vs. the situation where there are co-defendants pointing the finger at each other). They aren’t “framing” someone, just by suggesting/arguing to a jury that evidence points to someone else other than their client being responsible. They should, however, have a good faith basis for making the assertion. Unfortunately, this is often where the ethical line gets blurred/crossed. And yet, in order to preserve the free and open communication between client and attorney, we will never know what Casey told Baez/what advice he furnished to her, other than the version of events he presents in court (and sadly, to the media).

On the other hand, actually framing someone– planting evidence, for example, would quite obviously be a crime.

Re: #800, There are certainly cases in which judge’s review privileged communications between attorneys and their clients, but that is generally for the purpose of determining whether the communication is, in fact, privileged, as claimed. There are attorneys who spend hours/weeks/months, just preparing what is known as a “Privilege Log” to submit to the Court, just for that purpose. Think large, complex litigation matters where the client is an international corporation with in-house counsel, outside counsel, and many employees in the circle of communication with counsel (and endless emails back and forth, forwarding information, requesting legal advice, relating legal advice, etc.)

This is not that type of case, however, and unless there is an ethical complaint pursued against Baez in connection with his representation of Casey Anthony in this case/these cases, there is no way any judge will ever review any privileged communication. In short, we will never see any communications between them.

Cindy did not have last names, addresses, or phone numbers for Casey’s newest group of friends (Ricardo, JP, Amy, Troy, Tony Lazzaro or Tony’s roommates).

After George and Cindy picked up the car at Johnson’s and Cindy started to go through the items in the car, she found Casey’s “other purse,” which was a black leather satchel that Casey pretended to use for work. Inside that satchel was Casey’s Universal lanyard (on the shamrock Mardi Gras beads) and a set of Amy Huizenga’s resumes. She saw the phone number on the resume and called Amy around 5:00pm on July 15. If the resumes had not been in the car, then Cindy would not have been able to call Amy.

It occurred to me months ago that Casey must not receive paper statements from her cell phone account because those would have been mailed to the Anthony house and I don’t believe Cindy would have hesitated to open it up and call through every number on the list to learn where Casey was staying. At one point in the discovery, Casey mentioned in a interview that she had printed off her phone records from her computer for Yuri Melich – another reason why I believe she signed up for paperless statements.

Of course the question many want to know is why Cindy, since she claims she had been given various phone numbers and addresses over the months for “Zanny,” didn’t call the most recent number she had for Zanny or drive to that address (according to Cindy, the most recent address was on Glenwood, a few doors down from JP’s condo). Or if Cindy did try to call the most recent number or visit the Glenwood address, what happened when she did.

She claims she gave the phone numbers and addresses to LE, but if she was desperate enough to call the phone number she found on Amy Huizenga’s resume on July 15, surely she had been trying to reach the babysitter herself before then. At any rate, LE has served a warrant for the cell phone records for Cindy, George, and Lee and possibly their Hopespring and Eagle Feather landlines. If Casey provided a number for “Zanny” that was really the number of one of Casey’s other friends (I am thinking here about Lee’s confusion when he tried to call people like Juliet using the number Casey gave him only to reach someone else like maybe Brittany Scheiber).

Maura, you could totally be correct that KC’s cell phone was disconnected for non-payment BUT I swear I recall reading somewhere that her cell phone was canceled by an unknown male (cuz I remember thinking, Hmmm, Lee?)

So far I can only find this (and it doesn’t say how it was turned off) so i shall keep digging…!

    10) A search warrant authored and obtained by this writer on July 29, 2008 for the purpose of listening to and archiving voice mail messages as well as SMS messages incoming to Casey Anthony’s Nokia cell phone. An attempt was made later that same day to execute the warrant, however the phone service had since been discontinued and access was not possible.

The name Samantha is not on the Sawgrass guest card. There are two first names on the Sawgrass guest card who represent people who would be sharing the apartment with Zenaida Gonzalez if she had rented it. Casey never used either of those two names anywhere in her stories.

  37. Maura says:

    PS –

The plaintiff Zenaida Gonzalez has six children. I found the names of three of her children on OC family services records. All of them are VERY Spanish names (none of those three daughters is named Samantha).

One of ZG’s children is male because she said her son and boyfriend were with her on June 17 when she visited Sawgrass.

I don’t know if her two remaining children are male or female.

At any rate, I have seen the claim made on various forums that Samantha is the name of one of the plaintiff’s children, but that has never been confirmed in discovery or official records, and my personal opinion is that this claim is rooted in a misinformed comment that was repeated as fact.

    Hi everyone!
Is anyone here aware of the fact that your loved ones remains can be made into jewelry?….this is what I believe the Ants did with Caylee. Remember Lee kissing his bracelet? This family is so twisted !! WHEN will they stand up for CAYLEE? …breaks my heart.
By the way, I do NOT believe this was an accident…it was planned and probably even fantasized about. Are people STILL sending the Cheetoo Princess money?
Thanks for letting me post !! This is my favorite place to learn from !!

Richard Grund says to LE in interview, Sept 5, 2008, he was told by LP’s people and FoxNews called him to tell him ‘they are actively trying to frame your son’.

On FoxNews, Michael Walsh, attorney for Casey Anthony, ‘slandered Jesse on TV’ (according to this RG interview) but I haven’t found the video, just an article of July 30, 2008:

    Fox text article quote:
“Michael Walsh, one of Anthony’s attorneys, told FOX News on Tuesday that she initially had not been forthcoming with the timeline of Caylee’s disappearance because the babysitter had made threats and Anthony feared for her daughter’s safety.”

Did Michael Walsh, Baez’s assistant attorney, actually slander Jesse on TV? Has anyone got a link to the FoxNews video clip, which would be from Tuesday, July 29, 2008?

You know last night before bed I told my youngest daughter (who will be two years old tomorrow) that she is going to her babysitter’s tomorrow because Mommy is going to work, the weekend is over. She goes to an in-home daycare. When I told her where she was going she said, “I don’t wanna go to Claudia’s.” She is not even two and she knows her babysitter’s name who watches her every week. Got me thinking that when George asked Caylee about Zanny and she had a blank look on her face and didn’t recognize the name, right there for me proves no nanny. Caylee was almost three. She would know the name of the person who watched her every day. And if you asked a child who is almost three what they did that day, they would probably speak up and say Mommy and me went to the park. Mommy and me went to the store. Mommy and me went swimming. Maybe Cindy grilled Caylee with questions about Mommy the night of the “big argument”. Maybe Caylee outted Casey about not working? Which of course, Casey denied. Maybe that is when she realized she has to shut up Caylee. Caylee will ruin everything for her. Just thinking out loud.

K blink thanks I misunderstood..he knows someone who knows lee.who seemed to know a lot about the location of that bag.I guess I am wrong that casey confessed to lee first but I am sure she confessed to someone.OR that bag is what the anthonys found in the backyard. It was Tthe kw article that started me thinking about my thinking the bag was found in the by. Keith kept referencing those stuffed animals specifically both to you and to le questioning him about officer cain.kept commenting how nice they were.then I recalled when lee tossed all the toys being left for caylee when she was just missing..something funny there.

  45. silverspnr says:

This is an account from a detective on the case:

“I walked out onto the back porch followed by George Anthony. I explained to him the reason for my visit and told him about the recent discovery that Casey borrowed the neighbor’s shovel for a brief period of time. I told him I wanted to examine his back yard for evidence of freshly turned soil or any suspicious disturbed areas. George Anthony walked with me into his back yard and assisted me in my examination of his yard by showing me what he thought might be suspicious areas in his back yard.George Anthony allowed me to search the inside of his three back yard sheds. The sheds were locked and were unlocked by George Anthony to facilitate my search. He told me that he and his wife had already searched through the sheds, but I was welcomed to check behind them. He told me that he even moved his granddaughter’s playhouse and looked underneath it for evidence of foul play. The playhouse is positioned in the back yard on a deck of brick pavers.”

This took place on the afternoon of July 17th, less than 48 hours since Casey allegedly “confessed” to Lee, and then Cindy, that Zanny (whom Cindy claimed to be well aware of for years) had taken Caylee 31 days ago, and consequently only about 24 hours after Casey was first arrested.

The question for George is — why was he moving the playhouse and looking underneath it for evidence between the night of the 15th and the afternoon of 17th? His daughter was not even arrested for making false statements until the later part of the afternoon on the 16th! It’s also odd that C&G had already lawyered up by this point, because the detective noted that Baez–and the attorney for the grandparents–were all at the house at the time of this visit/inspection.

What grandparents lawyer up THAT fast when the goal is to locate a “missing” grandchild?!

He may have moved that playhouse and looked underneath it (and found something on July 3rd that sent that family into overdrive to get to Casey–I mean, have you looked at Cindy’s cell records on that date?! She was frantic to get to Casey. FRANTIC.)

In any event, it appears George was lying to LE from the start (not just eventually over time).

This family is hiding a very shameful secret, and I mean something that pre-dates whatever happened to poor Caylee on June 15th.

Im not sure if you have seen earlier posts Silver, but I have said from day one, that is where I believe Casey put Caylee initially, and the A’s found evidence of something on 7/3. Ialso think she took 3 pavers with her when she moved her, and thats where Dom Casey got that info. She couldnt get them all back to fit and when she moved her they saw it was missing after the fact.

To kleat maura and suz I am in awe of the data you provide on the casey calls and text.but I still think when all the anthonys phone records are released all of them are done. Why else would baez request them. To prove casey is innocent? I just don’t think so. Imo

thanks maura, interesting you would think the two names of the two people who would be living with her would be her two children.so who is the samantha that went missing dec 13 2006,is casey wejammin, looks like her,i am sure this is a red herring that casey threw in, maybe this to is how ,she got the missing idea,or used it for a little truth, but i guess that samantha was found.sunshine law should be easy to get report.

Got it– or another Mike Walsh interview ‘transcript’, this from July 30th, ‘Verdict with Dan Abrams’ on MSNBC “Morning Joe”.

Is this ‘slander’? (say, Blink– why DID Walsh quit?)

Walsh says about Jesse in this interview (maybe similar statement implying ‘mental’ issues for Jesse, on FoxNews on Tues, July 29th):

“ABRAMS: Yes. Here‘s the problem, all right. Here‘s another problem for you, one of many that seem to be building up here, all right? June 25th, this is her former boyfriend, all right. This is the former boyfriend. Casey‘s former boyfriend says that – this is according to the Orange County sheriff‘s affidavit.

“Jessie Grund mentioned that Casey is a habitual liar. He told me that on June 25th – June 25th – he received a call from the defendant. She told him she was free this weekend if he wanted to get together. They used to date. She said that Caylee was with the nanny and they had gone to the beach for the weekend.”

Now, is this guy lying, too?

WALSH: Yes. He‘s been fired from his Sheriff‘s Department for psychological issues. You should take a look in this guy‘s background. Serious issues with this guy. ”
