Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Caylees Autopsy Revelations Part I

Orlando, FL– Under heavy objection last Friday afternoon, Judge Stan Strickland denied the motion on behalf of George and Cindy Anthony to seal Caylee Marie Anthonys autopsy until their daughter Caseys capital murder trial in their granddaughters death. Late Friday afternoon, the Findings of Dr. Jan Garavaglia, Chief Medical Examiner of Orange County were released. In Part I, we explore a few of the notable findings, In Development for Part II, Blinkoncrime will be is creating an interactive 3D Model, incorporating the evidence recovery field, bone disbursement pattern, and anatomical example of the duct tape placement.

The Laundry Bag

WhitneyLaundryBagAlthough the report contains a significant amount of anthropologic and forensic data, it does not contain photos or X-Rays, pursuant to the Earnhardt exclusion under Florida Law. Blinkoncrime.com will attempt to offer some observations and in some cases, correct some erroneous information that is being reported in the msm. For starters, the laundry bag picture being circulated, it is incorrect, the image to the left is the correct bag, note the dimensions are exact. The top of this bag does not cinch.

The Duct Tape

I have seen rampant speculation on the duct tape beginning around 15 minutes following the release of the report.  DuctThere are many who believe that Casey Anthony killed her child by wrapping her nose and mouth with duct tape. Allow me to point out the report actually reflects the antithesis of this theory. First, there IS NO TAPE ON THE POSTERIOR of her skull. The only posterior placement of the tape mentioned is still located on the mandible, or face. The tape, which was actually small strips of grey cloth-based, delaminating tape is applied on top of itself, not really feasible with a live toddler. Given the findings that Caylee’s mandible stayed in almost true anatomical position, although slightly posterior and that the hair that was attached to the tape extended from the back of her head and over her head and face, it is likely Caylee was laying on her back when the tape was applied.  Henkel makes 2 kinds of duct tape, one is more Industrial grade of adhesive “hot set” over cloth designed for waterproof and outdoor projects. It has not yet been disclosed which formulation was used.

The O Sign

A contributing poster at blinkoncrime gave me something to think about that had not occurred to me. I am on record stating I do believe that Casey Anthony murdered her daughter, and that she will end up pointing the finger at one or both of her parents as a defense strategy.

However, the duct tape never really fit for me. I have always believed it to be a post mortem tactic to stage a kidnapping. I do believe I may have been wrong. Very well known to medical and critical care professionals, there is something called an O effect; occurring at very near death, or shortly following death and before rigormortis sets in.

Some medical people refer to it when the person is very near death or has just died–the jaw drops open. Nothing left to hold the mandible shut. In morgue kits there is a strap that is applied around the jaw to gently close it before rigor sets in. This “O” sign can be very pronounced and unsettling to see first hand. Casey probably wasn’t aware of this and was really spooked by this silent scream and used the duct tape then put a heart sticker on it as a ________

This makes sense to me. The tape is applied in small strips across the nose and mouth areas, catching her hair in the face over the Coronal plane region. One interpretation that may be drawn is that Caylee was lying on her back, upon seeing what Casey had done to her child as evidenced by the relaxed mandible; she attempted to “fix her”. As if covering up the evidence of death on her baby would change things, complete with a heart sticker. No sooner did I arrive at this conclusion on Saturday, did I see Dr.Michael Baden appear on Geraldo Live on Sunday evening bringing up the mortuary kit issue. I am not saying this idea originated here, not that it would be the first time, but it at least tells me there is corroboration within the forensic Medical community as to the premise. The FBI report on the duct tape has not been released. One thing is certain, what I have been stating all along about Casey’s prints being on the duct tape seems foreboding. With multiple strips of tape, chances are there are several. The defense has had this report for months, is this why Casey Anthony retained Todd Macaluso?

Swim Diaper?

There are several remnants recovered that are described as a diaper or pull ip item. However, there are a few that appear to be strictly synthetic. When I read the report, my immediate reaction based on some of the coloring was that it was a “swimmie”, or disposable swim diaper. After mapping out the dimensions and a closer look, I believe it is actually referring to remnants of both a pull up, a reusable swim diaper, or swim floation/assistance device or both, as pictured here:

CayleeSwim2 CayleeSwim-1 SwimDiaper-2

PrincessDiaper Diapergarbage

Paper Towels

Simply stated there is decomposition fluid on paper towels in the plastic garbage bag found in her trunk that came from Tony Lazzarros apartment.

In my opinion, Casey ripped the bag Caylees remains were in when she moved her body into or out of the trunk to her final resting place in the woods off Suburban. The stain in the trunk, emitting the ungodly stench, was the target of the paper towels after Casey returned to TonE’s apartment. She brought the paper towels and garbage bag out with her in an attempt to clean it up and realized almost immediately it was an excerise in futility. Immediately following are her comments to Amy about George Anthony borrowing her car, and the infamous squirrel stowaway story.

Her Clothes

In contrast to only a stitching remnant with a manufactures tag left of her shirt, Caylees shorts were found nearly 2 ft ft away from the laundry bag, in relatively good condition. Based on the reports findings of trunk and femural animal activity and the corresponding recovery area, I am of the opinion that it is not possible that Caylee was wearing those shorts when she was dumped in the woods. Frankly, given the fact that the actual color stripe pattern was discernable versus the condition of the other items, I am suspect Casey was in those woods more than once. How do you get only the collar of a shirt remaining and her shorts completely intact with no noted damage? Lastly, Caylees shoes if she were wearing any, were not recovered.

I aplogize if this theory has been written before. Is it possible that ZG was KC’s call girl alais? KC had described ZG as a “10″ to Cindy during her jail visit. Cindy even stated to the ZG that is suing KC, “Sorry your cute and all but your not a “10″, Casey said that Zanny the Nanny was a 10.” I think KC is vain enough to think of herself as a “10″. In her superficial world that would be the ultimate compliment.

Maybe this has been mentioned before and I missed it, I am tired from reading all the comments but the conversation between Lee and Casey where she states “She (Caylee) is close to HOLT” has been discussed many times before…way back when this all started. I first saw a comment about it on MOMLOGIC, here is a link to the article from momlogic along w/the comment.

    http://www.momlogic.com/2009/01/casey_anthony_lee_anthony_priv_1.php?page=3

Here is the comment from a poster explaining that Casey said “She (Caylee) is close to “HOLT.” He also goes on to explain that “HOLT” stands for Hidden Oaks Lake Trails Elementary School which was the general area where Caylee was found…..

“July 25 jailhouse visit lee told Casey they wanted to help her but any information had to go directly to the family. That he would not release anything she told him. The following day casey calls lee from jail. On the audio tape she states “I still feel she’s close to HOLT” Hidden oaks lake trail between her house and the school, in the wooded area. The area where Kiomari Kruz stated she would be. The area didn’t look like casey remembered so she dumped caylee there. She either lay there the whole time or she was moved (possibly by Lee) and returned to approximately same area.

    - EM”

I just assumed that since it had been discussed many times on other sites that everyone was aware of it. I think it’s possible that Kronk read about it online back then or heard it on the tape and maybe that’s why he kept going back, who knows but I’m glad he did and that someone finally listened to him!!

EVIDENCE OF PREMEDITATION (the “Menus”).. and CASEY’S RAGE

We have all seen the jail visit tape where Casey loses it, clenches/shakes her fist/grits her teeth–in a moment of pure RAGE–
SEEMINGLY because she is “upset” that “NO ONE LET’S ME SPEAK!”

There is another tape where we get to see that same display of RAGE, and it occurs when Casey and Cindy are in the midst of what is, otherwise, a seemingly innocuous discussion:

    July 25 at 9am, part 2: (around 11:29)
The time alloted for their call is nearing an end.
Cindy is asking her about Amy’s flight number -it was written on a piece of paper in Casey’s handwriting.

Casey: “Yeah, I know, because I was picking her up. I needed to know her flight information for when I was going to get her at the airport.”

Cindy: “OK. That makes sense.” (Earlier in the call, Cindy asks “HOW COME YOU(she?) NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO GET THE CAR?” (Tellingly,Casey does not respond.) Cindy adds, “IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE”. (Casey falls back on the whole, because the call is being recorded nonsense, she cannot answer.)

Casey: (revealing –without intending to–something ELSE that DOES NOT MAKE SENSE) “Yeah (smiles)… and just like the Menus that you found at the house? The breakfast, lunch and dinner? That was MY list. That was MY stuff. I wanted to start waking up at 5am and working out. If it was for Caylee, there would have been waffles listed, mini-pancakes, little things that she liked (not LIKES, as in PRESENT TENSE, but “LIKED”). I WOULD NEVER FEED HER A BAGEL WITH EGGS.”

Cindy (cutting Casey off here/contradicting her): “She likes (present tense LIKES) bagels and eggs and cream cheese and that kinda stuff”

Casey (cutting Cindy off): “SO DO I! (remember ME? me, me, me??) WE’RE LIKE THE SAME LITTLE, TINY PERSON. YOU KNOW SHE’S ALMOST MY SIZE ANYWAY.” (HUH??? Her 34 MONTH OLD TODDLER is almost her size??) “BUT… it was all health food, WAS IT NOT? ON THOSE LISTS? It was healthy stuff, CAUSE THAT WAS ONE THING JOSE ASKED ME ABOUT 3 OR 4 TIMES, ABOUT THE MENUS.” (HELL YEAH,I bet that JOSE was grilling her about these lists, because CLEARLY these “menus” that Cindy “found at the house” were written BEFORE Casey last left the house in mid-June,–and if IIRC, these were not actually “MENUS” as she refers to them here, but GROCERY SHOPPING LISTS, with NOTHING ON THEM FOR CAYLEE, i.e. she KNEW that CAYLEE would not be needing anything from the grocery store, because DEAD CHILDREN DO NOT NEED TO BE FED)… and the next few seconds show something pretty telling:

Just at this point in the exchange:
******THE GREEN SCREEN GOES UP SHOWING THEY HAVE ONE MINUTE LEFT ON THIS CALL—-THEY CANNOT SEE OR HEAR EACH OTHER–AND THIS IS WHERE THAT ABSOLUTE RAGE APPEARS/FLICKERS- CASEY RUBS HER FACE, GRITS HER TEETH, CLENCHES HER FIST– AND WHISPERS TO HERSELF, “one minute” (apparently reassuring herself that this little interrogation will soon be over) This occurs at 12:23-27

BTW– in part 1 of the July 25 visit with C&G, George’s FIRST exchange with Casey tells a LOT. His first QUESTION…

George: “Can I, can I ask you something?? Is there any particular city that you took Caylee to? Uh… any particular friend??”

    Casey: “I haven’t. No.”

George: “It’s been mostly just, just LOCAL??”

Casey. “It’s been LOCAL. It’s ALL BEEN LOCAL. The last time I was in Jacksonville was in March. I haven’t left the (this?) city.”

George: (no verbal response at first– HUH?? who wouldn’t JUMP ON THIS? didn’t she LIE TO THEM THAT them she was in Jacksonville with Caylee in JULY?? didn’t she say she was in other cities WITH CAYLEE over the “31 days”??? I know– I know– the NANNY took Caylee, and Casey was doing her own search for 31 DAYS, and was following the phantom Nanny’s instructions the whole time, yadda yadda, but gimme a break with this family thinking any RATIONAL person would actually buy this bag of tricks. Instead, he says,) “WELL, YA KNOW, EVERYONE IS DOING…”

Casey (interrupting): “Except for going to Coco Beach back in, maybe, May??”

    George (SILENCE)… “Well…”

Casey: (cutting off his silence), “I know. Everyone’s looking.”

    ******
Beyond perhaps Casey mistakenly pointing out evidence of her own PRE-PLANNING to be free of her child, I think the tapes of these visits show more than just DENIAL on the part of C&G. Yes, they were definitely in denial as well, –their precious grandchild was gone, and I believe they both loved “that little girl” more than anyone else on the planet–but they also both fail to confront Casey over OBVIOUS LIES/CONTRADICTIONS, and while Cindy is clearly trying to figure out where Caylee IS, she also assists Casey in defense of herself by “reminding” her of things when Casey contradicts her own prior statements/prior “script” (e.g., when Cindy asks Casey what other children “Zanny” watched, Casey says only “Zach”, Cindy reminds her of “Annabelle”, etc)

IMO, they had to KNOW she was lying about Caylee being with “Zanny”/being alive at this point. and I still maintain that they knew for certain that Caylee was dead as soon as George got within 3 feet of that car at the tow lot.

Certainly, they wanted Caylee home, but for conflicting reasons. The part of themselves that was in touch with reality wanted her home to give her proper burial, etc; the DENIAL part of themselves wanted/still yearns to help Casey avoid the CONSEQUENCES of what she has done.

I am certain that Blink is right. Cindy & George will never face any charges here. It’s too risky for the State to put them in a position where people who may relate to them will have (even more) sympathy for them, and beyond the washing of the pants, obvious lying to LE(particularly Cindy), there is too great a risk to the case against Casey to charge them.

  8. silverspnr says:

I know that many who are beyond frustrated with this family wouldn’t mind watching Cindy & George (Cindy in particular) having to either explain the lies OR, as the case would be, repeatedly take the 5th on the stand, but it wouldn’t be useful toward the successful prosecution of Casey. (although one cannot help but wonder if Cindy would actually be able to control herself under cross-examination; she cannot stand being challenged/might just have one of those “YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!” outbursts, but no way the State would ever take that chance)

We will never know what they really know, but we do know that they will have to live with this for the rest of their lives.
    Perhaps that is punishment enough.

  9. silverspnr says:

I can’t help just watching watch those few seconds of that call again and again.

She KNOWS she has to EXPLAIN AWAY those “Menus”. She KNOWS –and mistakenly reveals– that HER OWN ATTORNEY FINDS THEM TO BE OF CONCERN. A PROBLEM. Why else would Jose be THAT CURIOUS about such a seemingly meaningless item?? He asked her about it, not once; not twice; but 3 OR 4 TIMES. In her own words, “CAUSE THAT WAS ONE THING JOSE ASKED ME ABOUT 3 OR 4 TIMES.” (maybe this is why– or yet another reason–she has been advised not to speak to family? she cannot help but weave, and hence, REVEAL, bits of TRUTH amidst her LIES)

    Think about it.
Why is she trying to convince Cindy that, just like her handwriting on the slip of paper with Amy’s flight information on it “makes sense, the fact she made up grocery lists (BEFORE CAYLEE “went MISSING”) MAKES SENSE?? Why would anyone spend so much time trying to point out that a stupid “menu”/grocery list makes sense?? Why even spend a second discussing such a seemingly meaningless item???

Because, dear friends, IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE that a mother of a toddler is making out menus/grocery lists –before her child “goes missing”, and later turns up DEAD just around the corner from the only home she ever knew–which did NOT INCLUDE EVEN ONE ITEM for the child. (Correct me if I’m wrong, but weren’t there items for the dog on this list?? I seem to recall something to that effect, but in any event…)

Her attempt to play to Cindy’s emotional needs–”WE’RE LIKE THE SAME, LITTLE, TINY PERSON” (I’m your little, tiny child, Mom.. not (just) Caylee), actually appeals to Cindy at first– she even SMILES at this comment, but Casey’s next statement, “SHE’S ALMOST MY SIZE ANYWAY”, even rings falsely with Cindy. Look at the changes in her facial expression.

Casey is then “saved by the bell”– OR IS SHE?

That green screen comes up.. and BAM. That RAGE REARS ITS VERY UGLY HEAD. It only flickers for a second or two, but it’s there.

She is ENRAGED that Caylee took her mother’s love/attention/focus from her, and yet, she is ENRAGED with her mother’s attention at the same time, unless her mother is doing her bidding/fixing her messes, etc.

    HOLT=Hidden Oaks Lake Trail

Strange that the elementary school site/local maps/etc do not indicate any such designation, (I have seen that the Chickasaw Trail is nearby, but have not found anything official about a “Hidden Oaks Lake Trail”, but I was guessing that folks who live in the area would know best what that could have meant, which also goes to the inital point I was making when I brought it up, to wit: Casey was telling LEE where to look for the body.

Sorry for starting a discussion that other sleuths apparently solved way back. At least they agree with us that she is saying “HOLT”! I was starting to wonder if the Investigation Discovery site I found that on was a reliable source for audio at one point.

  12. silverspnr says:

The famous piece of paper Cindy found with the “MENUs” makes an appearance in Annie Downing’s deposition testimony:

Q:– at any time during that gathering, did Cindy say anything about indicating, well, I know the babysitter’s for real, because–

    A: No.

Q: –because Caylee would talk about Zanny’s puppy or dog, anything like that?

    A. No. The one thing Cindy did say is that there was a list, a list of items that she found on a piece–like on a notepad that had–like if you were packing for like the beach or something, that had those kinds of items, like things you need to get at the store, JUICE AND CAYLEE’S FAVORITE SNACKS. WHAT THEY–I DON’T REMEMBER WHAT THEY WERE, BUT THOSE WERE ON THE LIST. AND LIKE THINGS THAT CAYLEE WOULD NEED IF CAYLEE WAS GOING TO THE BEACH. AND I THINK SHE MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS LIKE A DOG LEASH, DOG BONE, DOG TREATS, SOMETHING LIKE THAT ON THE LIST AS WELL.

Q: Now, this list that Cindy told you about, would that have been during this meeting we were just talking about?

A: She had mentioned it, yes.

Q: Was it something she had found recently, in other words, indicating it looked like she was packing up to go to the beach when we last saw her now that I’ve seen the list?

A: I think she just found the list. I don’t know if she knew when it was from, though.

Q: Was the context of her bringing it up, she may have been planning to go to the beach when she was last here?

A: Like Casey was planning to go to the beach. She wanted us to go to the beach and like put fliers around and stuff.

Q: So she thought that was a lead as to potentially where Caylee was?

    A: Yes.

    *****
MORE LIKE, by this point in time (when Casey was home from jail), they REALIZED they had made a mistake, discussing that LIST–AND THE FACT THAT THERE WERE A TOTAL OF ZERO ITEMS FOR CAYLEE ON IT– during that July 25 jail visit on audio/video.
Cindy was already hard at work trying to reverse the damage.

Right, SPINdy. All of a sudden, that LIST has items for CAYLEE on it. And let’s not forget to add items for the DOG as well.

If not in an effort to cloud the evidence and reverse the damage done in that phone conversation, what other reason would Cindy REALLY have for mentioning some old grocery list to Annie(a list which supposedly was for the beach–because it had snacks for Caylee and a dog leash on it; yeah, right-that sounds “beachy”).

This is hallmark SPINdy, weaving webs for Casey. Just like her interviews with OSCO and the FBI.

I watched the videotape archived at WFTV and heard Casey say she wished she could have “at least spent a moment with you the day of the hearing.”

Casey was arrested for the first time on July 16.

At Casey’s bond hearing on July 22, Cindy got emotional and said this was the first time they (Cindy, George, and Lee) had been able to see Casey since her arrest.

The videotape of the jail visit we are discussing was taken on July 25.

So to answer your question ‘how did I know,’ I know she said “at the hearing” because I can hear it on the videotape, and I know Casey was referring to the bond hearing on July 22 because that’s the only hearing she could have been referring to that involved George, Cindy, and Lee.

“Problem is that guilt or innocence will be determined by a much lower standard than required of her murder trial.”
#1039 kleat, in the US, the civil (defamation) trial has a lower standard needed to find guilt (preponderance of evidence); all criminal trials, be they forgery or murder, have a higher standard but the same standard (guilt beyond a reasonable doubt) to find guilt.

I heart silverspnr – you had me at “judicial economy” ! And your analysis of the menus combined with the jh video in regard to premeditation – refreshing & impressive! it’s our pleasure to hear that you like examining evidence at this level. (admiring sigh)

To #1033, mwm- (I apologize if my post is redundant to others) KC was first arrested on child neglect & lying charges, 2nd arrest was forgery & related charges – the murder indictment & subsequent arrest were in October so technically, KC should be tried for forgery before she’s tried for murder but the prosecution didn’t block the defense motion to hold off on it until after the murder trial to be held Jan ’09 — when it didn’t have the DP on the table. (the concept from the wonderful silverspnr, ‘judicial economy’.)
However, since the DP came onto the table pushing the murder trial back (for maybe a couple of years), it doesn’t make sense to deny a speedy trial for the forgery/theft victim, Amy H. (& correct me if I’m wrong, kleat, but her g/m S.Plesea permitted BOA to investigate the check forgery & pursue charges, in addition to Amy H.; hard to say what KC planned to do with TonyL’s roommate’s credit card statement found in the trash bag with the paper towels full of decomp & maggots but given her dishonesty it’d probably be consistent with what she did to her family & Amy).
If the state can get conviction on the multiple forgery charges, then KC can be transferred to a state prison & free up the county jail medical cell, get a dose of reality (although I’d guess that she’d still be held in a med cell to protect her until the DP case outcome is reached), throw her a little off balance & get out of any cozy arrangement with jail staff she now knows, get her off the county payroll & onto the state payroll, & make it a little less convenient for def counsel to play footsie or kissy-kissy in the lawyer meeting rooms (isn’t the nature of his interaction with KC in that med waiting room the real reason JB wants the videotape from Dec ’08 sealed?), all of which might help the prosecution push her toward a tax-relieving plea bargain sooner than at the very end of her murder trial, & relieve the jury & perhaps the public from witnessing any crocodile-tears cry-baby antics from the DP-qualified attorney. And of course a conviction would enter into sentencing for subsequent crimes, like the murder case (particularly if the decision should get reversed upon appeal). JMHO.

IMHO, I don’t think she’s cornered – if they use ugly coping they’ll have to admit she’s killed Caylee – cuz the premise is that she’s grieving a death at that moment in time when KC says she’s still alive.

I’d like to ask silverspnr or anyone knowledgeable about non-profit organizations — the A’s can pay for KC’s defense using their salaries from the non-profit CayleeMarieAnthony Foundation, but can they use the foundation funds to pay for the attorneys, experts, miscellaneous fees directly?

There’s a whole lot of ‘wiggle room’ involved with their foundation (FY 2010 recipient of earmark from Congressman Grayson for ACIM, I believe) and the “House of Purpose” licensing application by the Milstead’s Kid Finder’s Network — which is the source of MY frustration with this case.

The fact that Caylee (alive) was never missing, but that her remains were kept hidden (possibly by the whole family) AND they entered the “missing children business” (as G states in his jh videotape, in describing how their lives have changed) and as a result, perpetuate the “Caylee Missing” lie in seeking donations, which they then use to perpetuate the KC-circus & pay for her defense & hangers-on, is what infuriates me. Particularly when they’d filed for bankruptcy last year…paupers to princesses/princes on a dead baby’s back; it’s so ethically wrong. JMHO.

    Oneshot –

Casey did not have Nathan Lezniewicz’s credit card statement.

In the trash bag in the Pontiac was a Fusian receipt dated May 24 and time-stamped 1:50am for $95.35 that belonged to Nathan Lezniewicz. He had used his credit card to pay the bill and his signature was on the receipt.

Businesses do not record the entire credit card number on receipts, so Casey would not have been able to use Nathan’s credit card merely because of that receipt.

    ***

The defense does not have to admit to murder to use the ugly coping explanation for Casey’s behavior. They can say she was distressed because her daughter had been kidnapped and because her entire family had been threatened, and she was coping with the situation by partying.

    ***

OCSO did take the pants that were in the car. In Yuri Melich’s investigative report of November 5, he wrote that during Cindy’s August 4 OCSO interview she had promised to turn over the pants but immediately after that interview, she stopped cooperating and the pants were obtained by warrant. Similarly, in his August 4 OCSO interview, he promised to get and turn over his EPass records; immediately after that interview, he stopped cooperating and LE obtained the EPass records by warrant.

#1166 oneshot. I only mentioned the mh and gh thing because I never dated the ex of my brothers gf or he mine. So I was thinking who is stalking whom? Or maybe orlando IS a small town and THAT’S why baez wants the trial moved.

  25. silverspnr says:

    OK, Oneshot.

You had me (sort of concerned) at “hello” (kidding;), but I think what you find in some of my posts is an appeal to not only your intelligence, but also to your good, common sense; to a shared belief in/respect for truth & justice. Having read your more recent posts, I think it’s fair to say that we have more than common ground here. (I don’t know anything about Baez seeking to have the court seal any videotape on the basis that it would display any inappropriate relationship between himself and the defendant, and I would be shocked to learn that Judge Strickland would grant that defense motion other than for the reason that it might deprive Casey of a fair trial for the reasons stated in his opinion).

The answer to your #1169 question is: I don’t know. Some legal research may be in order.

Maura-#1173– I think the idea is that if Casey took that Nathan’s credit card receipt from May 24th, it wasn’t for the purposes of committing fraud on his account.

  26. silverspnr says:

Maura- Apology is in order. I see you were responding re: the idea that the credit card receipt was nabbed for some sort of financial crime, akin to the financial crimes Casey committed against family and friends.
In any event, the guys who shared that apartment may have been extremely lazy about discarding trash.. OR.. someone was planting as much evidence as possible in her (abandoned) car to point to other people. Amy’s resumes.. Nathan’s credit card receipt.. a LAUNDRY BAG…

  27. silverspnr says:

    Annie Downing.

Anyone else troubled by her deposition testimony? (and not just her actual testimony, but due to the fact that it was a video dep, how about her demeanor??)

She testified that Casey said she had “so much to tell” Annie when this was all “said and done”.

    Really??

Casey–who basically told LE to their faces that she would NEVER confess.

Casey–who wrote that little DIARY OF DAYS entry on MySpace, “On the worst of worst days, Trust No One, Only Yourself”, etc.

And this comment supposedly took place while Caylee–an innocent 34 month old toddler was “MISSING”… and yet…
Annie didn’t even try to find out what that meant/ just didn’t want to know???

SOMETHING RINGS ROTTEN IN THE STATE OF DENMARK on that one.

This is the same Annie who lived at the famous Sawgrass Apartments–with a dog that Caylee loved, no less.

Who, in these circumstances, would NOT WANT TO KNOW whatever they could, in order to possibly help get Caylee home??????????? (She also testified that she still believed Caylee was ALIVE at this point).

Something is WAY, way, way.. OFF with her story.

Yes, there is, but I believe it helps the prosecution.
    B

  28. Kleat says:

Maura, thanks! I couldn’t hear it at all, that’s why I asked– I thought you might have read it but I’ll have to find another version of the video and try to listen ‘better’ :)

(I’ve got ‘reading’ Silverspnr’s posts down pat– it’s easy to ‘listen’ to using the computer’s voice on those posts that are long enough– great way to catch up!! )

  29. boo says:

I keep going back to blinks diapergarbage photo and what I think it says to me. I think it represents innocence found and innocense take away.. Kayden had and has toys like those. I’m glad I have her and the opportunity to take her tp playgrounds, go to the land of disney and pixar with her,buy the occasional happy meal from mcee dees, schedule playdates for her and prepare her for school. Casey is a monster and she has some bad kharma coming her way.justice for caylee.

  30. boo says:

Thank you bkink for showing caylees toys. And thank you mark klaas, mark lunsford, john walsh and others like you who strive to make it a better process for finding our missing children quicker (thank you tim miller). And thank you nancy grace for going after lame defence strategies (OBJECTION) please explain. I remember when cindy accused mark of not knowing what’s its like to walk in her shoes (EXCUSE ME)? Cindy anthony is (an american idiot).

“If it was for Caylee” (caylee and casey eat the same thing)(hint:the list was for someone else)

who eats healthy food and works out? and is almost the same size a casey.

    And # 1092 silverspn quote
“Why be locked up all these months if you actually KNOW FOR CERTAIN WHO KILLED CAYLEE (if it wasn’t YOU)”

Who would believe her? if she came and said..so and so did it! would you believe her? I don’t think anyone would believe her not even her parents..

Well..its possible I may believe her. I know…wth!! however, please remember I was living under a rock for the first six months.

  32. Kleat says:

‘listening’ the posts worked surprisingly well…

The HOLT clarifications– I found that new and interesting as I’d not been following the early discussions on blogs. Interesting that there are two versions and that is why the confusion– one version to Cindy one day, the next, Casey is bold enough to specify further (seemingly) when she speaks to Lee.

There’s been so much excellent participation as we await the next installment, bringing some of us up to speed but moreover, there’s some interesting perspectives on menus and shopping lists– insightful!

    Thanks all.

  33. boo says:

On second thought I am remembering marks response to what I thoight was a very rude comment from cindy, he said he couldn’t imagine what it must be like to be in the anthonys shoes, so maybe that remark by cindy was as close to a confession we may ever get. So cindy when I’m wrong I say I’m wrong. I apologizem.Mark could never walk in YOUR shoes.true enough.

Cindy washed the pants before she called 911.

Cindy Anthony Justifies Search Warrant Inconsistencies
The Grandmother Said She Offered Everything As Evidence In The Beginning
    POSTED: 1:02 pm EDT August 8, 2008

Days after investigators carried bags of evidence out of the Anthony home, Cindy Anthony said she washed some of it. Cindy said she found a pair of pants in the back of her daughter’s car when they brought it home. “I took the pants out, threw them in the wash with the other wash I had that day not knowing that that might become evidence,” she said.

Later that night, police arrived at her house. Cindy said the first thing she told police was that she had washed the pants, but they didn’t care. But the pair of pants isn’t the only thing she washed. There were also other clothes that Orange County Crime Scene Investigators collected from the home, only to later find out that they had been washed, too. “When we dumped them out on the living room floor in front of five deputies, I said, ‘These clothes smell like smoke…what do you want me to do with them?’” Cindy said the family went through all of the pockets and offered up things the first night deputies came to the house. When they refused to take the items as evidence, she said, she washed them.

The evidence collected is being used to collect DNA for ongoing FBI testing.

  35. Kleat says:

(shoulda checked w/Blink first on recent post not yet up– ;) But she can see it and decide– or adjust it– )

  36. rozey says:

Question about the hits in the backyard by the cadaver dogs.

Say Casey transferred decomp fluid onto her clothes, hands etc…while disposing of Caylee’s body. Returned home, jumped in the pool(ladder?) and threw her clothes on the ground. Would there be enough decomp to transfer onto the ground for the dogs to pick up?

  37. LRT says:

    Blink,
I got a response back From the Event Director for the 7th Annual Our Kids World Family Fun Fest. That the Anthonys and Milsteads plan on attending.

We have received many emails from you and your friends about Kid Finders Network.
We are sorting through them and doing some research of our own.
If you will allow us to research these allegations you are making… we will get back with you promptly.
    Thank you.

  38. Kleat says:

Maura, do you think that the story of what Casey was wearing when last seen leaving the house by George, was to cover up for what Casey might really have been wearing when she carried the bag to the trunk of the car or subsequently moved the bag to the woods?

So washing ‘smoke’ out of pants from Casey’s stay ‘away’ at Tony’s or wherever, would only be washing pants that had nothing to do with the day Caylee ‘left with Casey’.

That George version might be using those particular pants for a reason.

What was Casey wearing the day she borrowed the shovel, or the day George confronted her, or the day she and Tony came to the Anthony home? Where are those clothes?

  39. martha says:

well, it’s Monday at work, time to read Blinkoncrime!!!!! very good stuff here written over the weekend—such as lieing to keep friends apart, H.O.L.T. and it’s reference, Cindy washing clothes, all that have written since 1000, that’s where I started reading today, great comments all. Boo I like your phrase “oogy” will be using it in the future along with holt. wonderful site.

  40. Kleat says:

martha, don’t miss Silverspnr’s discussion of food shopping lists– aka ‘menus’. The ‘flash’ of rage shown by Casey at the 12:20 min mark July 25th jail video, pt 2 of 2 ‘morning’, is revealing. Someone less observant, like me, watched that, and figured it was just annoyance at the jail visit over in one minute. But that can’t be it– this is the second ‘warning’ on the jail, Casey’s first reaction at that 5 min, mark was not like this second ‘rage’ reaction.

I don’t remember Cindy discussing ‘menus’ with the FBI. I wonder if Baez has to release them in discovery, or if he can ‘bury’ them. It sounds as if the ‘menus’ were written before Casey took off in June. Maybe they were for the (imaginary or?) Puerto Rico ‘plans’? (that would explain why ‘no Caylee’ food on them).

  41. Keefer O says:

Love the site, THANKS BLINK! I just wanted to point out that Casey felt that Caylee was in the way and as the ‘father’ was a no show she would ‘do it right this time’ and hook up with as many men as possible to compensate and have a broader base to pick and choose from…or throw under the bus. Then Cindy blew it all wide open yet then tried to cover up via denial, denial, denial. They ALL should be given lie detector tests and absolutely no immunity what-so-ever. I hope there eventually is justice for this child, but not the death penalty although I think she deserves it, better to let her be reminded of torment she has inflicted on everyone because of her selfish and senseless deed.

  42. susan says:

the anthony’s should’ve started an anti death penalty foundation,as that should be their(casey’s) concern, not missing children.

  43. mj says:

great site!!!!I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about Mallory Parker. Was she interviewed by the police?

  44. susan says:

what does anyone think , would be the reasoning, for casey clueing lee to where the body is?why would she be telling anyone?i dont quite get it ,cuz its lee and she’ll talk to him?or some weird conscious-duality?or so that it can found to show the duct tape so everyone believes her that it was a kidnapping, cuz it looks like it?

  45. Kosmo says:

Does anyone have a link to the taped visit between Cindy and Casey where they a talk about the menus??

  46. Autumn says:

Thank you very much for the info that took me to the anthony lazzaro questions. i really appreciate it

  47. boo says:

I have been re-reading posts and your responses to some of them. I thought there must be a mouse with the cheese amongst all the rats. The kw articles and the m&m depos confirmed it for me but just to be sure I went and search for reports on the tips (especially the dates.

  48. martha says:

thanks kleat, yes the menus without any Caylee foods discussed at the jailhouse were VERY revealing. The Anthonys didnt realize how many beans that were spilling at that time. I also think after watching Casey’s fit throwing and fist clinching, that she killed Caylee in a rage after she left the house and after the big fight. I think probably right there in the carseat.

also, everyone probably has thought this too but wouldnt a mother make sure her child had her babydoll and carseat available if the Nanny was taking care of her. Also for a kidnapping nanny, it was sure nice of “zenaida” to take Caylee to all those nice places for the summer (without extra clothes, her babydoll and a carseat!!!)

  49. silverspnr says:

    Kleat-

Sometimes the most seemingly insignificant pieces of evidence reveal a person’s intentions, particularly items attributable to that person which were created BEFORE a PREMEDITATED CRIME is committed, and which tend to paint a picture of how they see/imagine their life will be AFTER THE CRIME HAS TAKEN PLACE.

And remember, Casey didn’t say it was for a trip to PR or anything like that; rather, she said it was part of her plan to start living differently, i.e., getting up at 5am to work out (and perhaps NOT HAVING CAYLEE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYMORE??).

All we can really deduce here is that there was something about this writing that raised a “red flag” with BOTH of Casey’s most staunch defenders.

    I’m curious.
What do you think got her so enraged there?
Was it simply being confronted by Cindy about things she did that didn’t add up?? I don’t know. We know she was able to remain a cool customer when LE took her to Universal to confront her with blatant contradictions/lies)…

Perhaps what got beneath her skin was when Cindy CORRECTED her about Caylee? Corrected her, and thereby, EXPOSED HER for what she truly is (an UNFIT MOTHER).

    That flash of PURE RAGE….
    HOLY S***.
It makes you wonder if the “neck breaking” search was really meant for someone else who lived in that house.
