Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Caylees Autopsy Revelations Part I
Orlando, FL– Under heavy objection last Friday afternoon, Judge Stan Strickland denied the motion on behalf of George and Cindy Anthony to seal Caylee Marie Anthonys autopsy until their daughter Caseys capital murder trial in their granddaughters death. Late Friday afternoon, the Findings of Dr. Jan Garavaglia, Chief Medical Examiner of Orange County were released. In Part I, we explore a few of the notable findings, In Development for Part II, Blinkoncrime will be is creating an interactive 3D Model, incorporating the evidence recovery field, bone disbursement pattern, and anatomical example of the duct tape placement.
The
Although the report contains a significant amount of anthropologic and forensic data, it does not contain photos or X-Rays, pursuant to the Earnhardt exclusion under Florida Law. Blinkoncrime.com will attempt to offer some observations and in some cases, correct some erroneous information that is being reported in the msm. For starters, the laundry bag picture being circulated, it is incorrect, the image to the left is the correct bag, note the dimensions are exact. The top of this bag does not cinch.
The Duct Tape
I have seen rampant speculation on the duct tape beginning around 15 minutes following the release of the report. There are many who believe that Casey Anthony killed her child by wrapping her nose and mouth with duct tape. Allow me to point out the report actually reflects the antithesis of this theory. First, there IS NO TAPE ON THE POSTERIOR of her skull. The only posterior placement of the tape mentioned is still located on the mandible, or face. The tape, which was actually small strips of grey cloth-based, delaminating tape is applied on top of itself, not really feasible with a live toddler. Given the findings that Caylee’s mandible stayed in almost true anatomical position, although slightly posterior and that the hair that was attached to the tape extended from the back of her head and over her head and face, it is likely Caylee was laying on her back when the tape was applied. Henkel makes 2 kinds of duct tape, one is more Industrial grade of adhesive “hot set” over cloth designed for waterproof and outdoor projects. It has not yet been disclosed which formulation was used.
The O Sign
A contributing poster at blinkoncrime gave me something to think about that had not occurred to me. I am on record stating I do believe that Casey Anthony murdered her daughter, and that she will end up pointing the finger at one or both of her parents as a defense strategy.
However, the duct tape never really fit for me. I have always believed it to be a post mortem tactic to stage a kidnapping. I do believe I may have been wrong. Very well known to medical and critical care professionals, there is something called an O effect; occurring at very near death, or shortly following death and before rigormortis sets in.
Some medical people refer to it when the person is very near death or has just died–the jaw drops open. Nothing left to hold the mandible shut. In morgue kits there is a strap that is applied around the jaw to gently close it before rigor sets in. This “O” sign can be very pronounced and unsettling to see first hand. Casey probably wasn’t aware of this and was really spooked by this silent scream and used the duct tape then put a heart sticker on it as a ________
This makes sense to me. The tape is applied in small strips across the nose and mouth areas, catching her hair in the face over the Coronal plane region. One interpretation that may be drawn is that Caylee was lying on her back, upon seeing what Casey had done to her child as evidenced by the relaxed mandible; she attempted to “fix her”. As if covering up the evidence of death on her baby would change things, complete with a heart sticker. No sooner did I arrive at this conclusion on Saturday, did I see Dr.Michael Baden appear on Geraldo Live on Sunday evening bringing up the mortuary kit issue. I am not saying this idea originated here, not that it would be the first time, but it at least tells me there is corroboration within the forensic Medical community as to the premise. The FBI report on the duct tape has not been released. One thing is certain, what I have been stating all along about Casey’s prints being on the duct tape seems foreboding. With multiple strips of tape, chances are there are several. The defense has had this report for months, is this why Casey Anthony retained Todd Macaluso?
Swim Diaper?
There are several remnants recovered that are described as a diaper or pull ip item. However, there are a few that appear to be strictly synthetic. When I read the report, my immediate reaction based on some of the coloring was that it was a “swimmie”, or disposable swim diaper. After mapping out the dimensions and a closer look, I believe it is actually referring to remnants of both a pull up, a reusable swim diaper, or swim floation/assistance device or both, as pictured here:
Paper Towels
Simply stated there is decomposition fluid on paper towels in the plastic garbage bag found in her trunk that came from Tony Lazzarros apartment.
In my opinion, Casey ripped the bag Caylees remains were in when she moved her body into or out of the trunk to her final resting place in the woods off Suburban. The stain in the trunk, emitting the ungodly stench, was the target of the paper towels after Casey returned to TonE’s apartment. She brought the paper towels and garbage bag out with her in an attempt to clean it up and realized almost immediately it was an excerise in futility. Immediately following are her comments to Amy about George Anthony borrowing her car, and the infamous squirrel stowaway story.
Her Clothes
In contrast to only a stitching remnant with a manufactures tag left of her shirt, Caylees shorts were found nearly 2 ft ft away from the laundry bag, in relatively good condition. Based on the reports findings of trunk and femural animal activity and the corresponding recovery area, I am of the opinion that it is not possible that Caylee was wearing those shorts when she was dumped in the woods. Frankly, given the fact that the actual color stripe pattern was discernable versus the condition of the other items, I am suspect Casey was in those woods more than once. How do you get only the collar of a shirt remaining and her shorts completely intact with no noted damage? Lastly, Caylees shoes if she were wearing any, were not recovered.

“Baez argues that Padilla and his staff were working for him last August when they bailed Anthony out of jail so their statements to the police about what they heard from Anthony are privileged and should not be made public.” (wesh.com today)
Ok, what I know about Bounty Hunters and posting bail can be summed up in a couple sources– ‘Dog Chapman’ and ‘Midnight Run’.
Do lawyers ‘hire’ people to post bond for their clients? If so, is the lawyer ultimately responsible if the client violates bail and takes off? Seems not, or the lawyer would put up bond in the first.
What could the basis of Baez’s claim be? Wouldn’t a lawyer make it very clear, in a written contract with a bondsman, what the expectations are for client privilege.
Did Baez contact Padilla and if so, he would know that Padilla would bring with him some public/media profile for the Discovery Channel programs and common sense says that someone like Padilla doesn’t work on a low profile basis– he’s out there, wysisygwLP.
IMO, there was a bilateral contract complete with a confidentiality clause. Baez breached it when he pulled the plug on Casey access to LP; er go.. unliateral contract and he has a fist full of nothing. BTW, the only person in this scenario granted any kind of privlege, is the BB himself, the BH has not standing. In this case Tony Padilla, not Leonard, has/had limited privlege.

Kleat, I think cindy has the same poor impulse control as kc, which is why she jumped the gun and called 911 before noodling it thru to realize her own daughter was the culprit. I do believe she regrets it and if she had to do it over again, she would not have called the police. I see you disagree, but I do think it would have been relatively easy for the Anthonys to tell their friends or relatives that the kid went off to live with the bio dad (it’s a miracle! he’s alive!), got adopted away (it’s kc’s child, the records are sealed), or, if they could get kc to leave, too, they could just say kc and caylee are living far, far away, too far to visit.
Had that been the case, I wonder when—if ever—the remains would have been found by anyone other than the Ants. Now, what they ultimately would have done with their murderous daughter given that scenario, I dunno. KC would definitely be a problem. Maybe they are sort of relieved that she is in jail. But I am sure they don’t want to see her get the DP. Cindy must feel pretty guilty about being the one who inadvertently turned her in.
Kosmo, you could be right about the Ants tiptoeing around subjects during jail visitations because of kc’s hair trigger rage, but on the other hand, she’s only a tiny little thing (5′ 2″) and behind plexiglass, so probably not fearsome, lol. Ok, you probably meant they didn’t want to upset her. That could be, but I always took it that they didn’t want her to accidentally say something incriminating.
Tony’s roommate Nathan told LE that on June 20, Casey was asked to join the Hot Body Contest because Fusian didn’t have enough girls for the contest. She was already at Fusian when she was asked, and Nathan said Casey agreed to participate and changed into the blue dress that got from her car.
That was Friday, June 20, and if Casey was keeping clothing in her car, clothing that she was willing to remove from the car and put on her back on a moment’s notice, then the stench from the trunk was not yet overwhelming and possibly was still contained to the trunk area.
As the days went by, the stench from the trunk would have started to permeate the passenger area, but that may not have happened until the following week around Wednesday, June 25, when Casey first began to talk to Amy about the smell in her car that she believed was from a dead animal.
She ran out of gas two days later. Maybe when she went back to the car with the gas can on Monday around 5:00pm, she was planning to put gas in it, then drive to a car wash to start scrubbing out the area of the stain.
Reports are Baez filed several motions late this afternoon. Some of which are to stop discovery recently handed over from being released to the public. Any idea what might be in this discovery that he doesn’t want the public to see?
Tee hee.
Yep.
B
And Tony said Casey did not have a bad smell when he picked her up at Amscot on June 27. She had been driving around in the car for two hours just before he picked her up, so the smell couldn’t have been bad enough at that point that her hair and clothing would pick in up in a couple of hours.
George said he didn’t smell anything when Casey returned the gas cans on June 24, but two gas cans were involved (cans that she thrust at him), so the fumes from the gas could have overpowered other odors. Similarly, Tony said he did not smell any bad odors on June 23 when he drove Casey to her car so that she could put in the gas from the cans they had just taken from George’s shed. There again, Tony was holding the gas cans, so gas fumes would be the predominant odor he smelled.
Just a little aside about the O sign… is this why the ghost of Jacob Marley had a kerchief wrapped around his head, holding his jaw in place, when he visited Ebenezer Scrooge, in Dickens’ Christmas Carol? It just occurred to me. I guess folks back then may have been more familiar with the signs of death than today?
Sorry- that was my dumb comment for the day!
Kosmo, I think Casey told so many stories to her family, JB is going to have to bring HER up to date before the trial.
IMO
I don’t think Cindy left the house on June 15th, no way is Cindy going to leave HER HOME. Casey did the last thing she could do to upset her Mother that evening … take Caylee away from her.
I believe Casey had Caylee in the trunk of her car from June 15th until the 18th and then buried her in the enclosed sandbox in back of her parents home, I believe she wanted to get her out of the sandbox on June 24th, but George was home and the gas can incident happened, so she left and came back the next day, took her out of the sandbox June 25th, the day she gave her mother the story she had to be back in town to retrieve the nanny’s insurance papers, which is why she stopped off at the house. I believe she elaborated on being at the house to Cindy because she took stuff out of the house that day and knew her Mother would know she was home, when she was supposed to be out of town. I believe she kept Caylee in the trunk until she buried her the morning of the 27th, went back to Tonys, thought she could clean up the “spot” at Tony’s, she couldn’t, so she went back home to see what cleaning supplies she could use, that didn’t work, picked up the pops and chicken while she was home, and truckin down the road from her parents house realized she couldn’t keep the car, she knew she had to get rid of it, as someone would get wise to the odor, so she ditched it at a familiar place, Amscot, yes very low on fuel.
I think she ditched the car with Caylees decomposed bodily fluids in the trunk, pants she was wearing during one of the times she handled Caylee, and any other evidence that could tie her to her daughters murder, in the hope that it would be stolen.
The smell in the car must have been horrific which is why I believe she parked it right next to the dump. I think if she knew it was going to be towed she would’ve parked it somewhere else.
I don’t believe for one second she ever thought she would get in that car and drive it again.
I think Casey’s thought process was on a day to day level. She had the story of it running out of gas with Tony so she kept it going with her friends, just like her continuous story with her job, the nanny, Amy moving in her parents house, and I’m sure many other made up stories we don’t have a clue about.
The day she asked Jesse G to help her he was on the other side of town, I believe she knew this before she gave him her tale of woe.
Amy told LE Casey showed up at her house driving Tony’s car (Jeep) the morning of June 30th, this is after she dropped Tony off at the airport, she wanted to get the gas can, Amy went with Casey in Tony’s jeep to Target, bought the gas can and Casey came back to Amys house and hung around with her until she had to go to work, between 5:00pm & 6:00pm … now I ask you, if she really wanted to put gas in her car so she could use it … why wouldn’t she just ask Amy to pick her up at Tony’s, then go in Amy’s car to Target, buy the gas can, fill it, and then have Amy drop her off by the car? Casey could’ve filled her car with gas and took off. Of course in heinsite we now know the car was towed at 7:00am that morning, but I don’t believe Casey knew that, I believe she was still hoping that car would be stolen, and never had a thought about getting back in it.
I think right now George and Cindy are playing the “daughter is innocent game” not that they believe this, they know she killed Caylee now, but they don’t want Casey to take a plea and admit it. For all the love they say they have for there daughter, they would rather see her die than admit that THEY WERE WRONG in believing her story. I think they are saying “Casey we are stickin to your story and YOU BETTER STICK TO IT TO” I wonder though when it gets down to the end, what Casey will actually do.
Blink, I never found out WHO was going to rent a car for Casey…. hint please??
There were calls to Don Reid Ford and was it, Lexus dealer. Not sure what that was about except for the friends at DRF connection. Amy was a ‘good’ and all-too generous friend to Casey, but she had her own car to loan to her instead (but she expected to be roomies with Casey, moving in and all and was obviously very kind to a friend who was not so kind to her). Casey kept so many men ‘attached’, Tony was paying for school, he’d not have done that easily unless he really didn’t want Casey driving his own vehicle and helping her rent one– well, he helped her ‘break-in’ to get the gas cans so who knows.

suz, miracle bio dad revival– that would work and be the grandparents worst nightmare! But sealed adoption records or not, privacy couldn’t be used to protect child abusers who go too far– there could still be an investigation into ‘disappearance’ of a child. (there SHOULD be or this could be an easy way for someone to get rid of a child, their body, or sell a child without worries for reprocussion).
The Grunds, especially Richard Grund, would not let go of that story until it unraveled, you can be sure– Caylee would have badly needed an advocate and you bet they would be up front on that one.
Kleat 1339
George was not allowed into the locked impound area to get the car until after he had paid the bill in cash. It was not an option for him to refuse to pay the bill after smelling the car because by the time he smelled the car, the bill had been paid.
He and Simon Burch found the trash bag in the trunk, and George hung onto that thread of hope.
Throwing this out there- do we know what time Johnson’s opens?
B
Kleat 1341
The car was out of gas. Read Simon Burch’s interview. He said George put the key in the ignition, but the car would not start. When George put gas in the tank from the can he brought, the car started instantly.
Amy Huizenga said she and Casey went to Target in Tony’s jeep and then went back to the condo to hang out until Amy went to work. They would have left the gas can in the jeep since Amy only bought it so that Casey could use it. Casey’s pings show that she did drive to the Amscot area at that time (Casey left the condo around 445pm and Amy had to work at 5pm).
Blink, wow!!! Thanks!! I thought of that but only long enough to say NO… makes no sense!!!
1. in the ‘no sense’ dep’t is under what circumstances? Maybe the story about the car being taken in for repair… but even so (and I’m assuming we are talking the ‘missing 31′ here), Casey without car would mean she might come home, minimally bring Caylee home so she didn’t have to drive back and forth to the nanny’s house on the way to and from work. (George was free to drive Casey to work on the days she did have to get to work) and if parents ever wanted to learn if someone is actually working or not, perfect op to do that, by driving someone to their work place and back for a few days. Unless of course, the car broke down ‘out of town’ as with the Jeff (was it?) scenario in Jacksonville. Too much makes no sense, except to know how these parents ‘enabled’ time and time again.
(maybe Casey could have ridden with co-workers for a couple days– shared gas (or gas cans).
Next question– would be ‘when’? But I’ll go dig that up by starting with the ‘car’s in the shop for service’ when said to be visiting Jeff for a start (Maura!!:) — ‘when’ would be 27th through 30th (if Casey wanted to get the car as some speculate here– I don’t agree, she did NOT want her car for two very good reasons). Casey seems to plan and plan, detail upon detail in story form at least, but she doesn’t plan ahead not terribly well. I guess that’s part and parcel with being a risk taker.
The car was out of gas at Amscot. From the depo of Simon Burch employee of Johnson’s Wrecker Service at the tow lot:
*******************
SB: And then, and anyway, I went back to the car with him (George A) and the car wouldn’t start. And I looked he was sitting in the car and I looked and the gas gage was on empty. I said, “Oh, its out of gas.” And he said, “Okay”. And he said, “Well, I brought some gas with me.”

Blink 1361
This is what I found on Johnson’s the day they came to remove Casey’s car.
“On June 30, 2008, at approximately 0700 hours, Mrs. Sanchez arrived at 7051 East Colonial Drive (Amscot Financial). Mrs. Sanchez observed the white Pontiac still parked next to the dumpster. Mrs. Sanchez called Johnson’s Wrecker and requested the white Pontiac be towed away. A short time after Mrs. Sanchez’s call, a tow truck driver arrived. Mrs. Sanchez pointed out the white Pontiac to the driver, singed a form, and the driver towed the white Pontiac away.”
Well done, so here is my blinkism of the day… George was at the towyard early am, although not specified as to time, and left. What time was he there the first time exactly? Being on call does not mean you are staffed at that time. We arent sure for 100% the order he went that day. Did he go to the PO first, or Johnson’s? Is that going to be one of our surprises? Recall Simon Burch saying he was surprised George knew it had been at the Amscot for 3 days… How did he know?

maura, and all wondering why and if casey was going to retrieve the car from amscot, casey didnt go back and retrieve it until she could do it ALONE because of the smell .she had some excuse to amy why they didnt go from target to car.and that excuse kept her with amy til 5:00.and btw tony turned over duct found in his jeep to le.where did george go if not back to work? he said the theatre ,i assume he was sercurity there.

What time does Johnson’s wreckers open? The website doesn’t say, so I’m assuming it’s open 24 hrs, someone is on the tow lot at all times, is my guess, including dispatchers, security and tow staff. I am definitely not going to give them a call, not into bothering them for sure. But I’m guessing it’s a 24 hr full-service operation.
(now to get the pseudo-beach-boys jingle outta my head! But they do have reason to brag about that shiny equipment– very impressive. Imagine what Tim the Toolman Taylor would have gotten himself into on THAT lot!)
Good going Scarlett! You got yourself a genuine, state of the blog, BLINKISM!!
j.g.– good on ya!!
Blink, are you actually hinting that George was at Johnsons at opening, which means no PO that early yet?? (do we hear another ‘psychic told us’ story coming down the pipe!!??)
1346 Randie
George DID go to work.
Read his OCSO July 24 and August 4 interviews.
He said Cindy called his cell phone that evening but he couldn’t take the call because he was working a security job inside a theater and had to turn the cell phone off. Cindy’s message was to call her as soon as he could. He called her cell phone and the home line a coupel of times but she didn’t pick up. He then called Lee and left a message for Lee to go to the Anthony house, saying Casey was in a lot of trouble. He finally reached Lee on his cell phone, and Lee was at the Anthony house and said Cindy and Casey had just pulled in.
Cindy called OCSO at 8:44pm asking for a deputy to arrest Casey. George said he talked to Cindy around 8:45-9:00pm, a few minutes after talking to Lee. Cindy wanted to know what time he was getting home and he told her he expected to be home around 10:00-10:30pm. He asked her if everything was okay, and Cindy said they would talk about it when he got home.
He can be heard 90 seconds into the third 911 call, so he arrived home around 9:43pm.
In talking about the smell in the trunk, penetrating into clothes in the car, or even into Casey’s hair & onto her body…I am almost 100% positive the smell would not transpose onto anything unless it was in direct contact with it. (Tracy’s blue dress mentioned today). I know that in my nursing career I have been in tight cubicles, rooms, area’s with some putrid rotten flesh & it’s just something we as medical professionals don’t worry about.
Also, someone stated that maybe Cindy returned to work after retrieving the car to possibly get hospital type cleaning material to clean the trunk with. Cindy worked for a home health agency & they do not have those cleaning supplies there.
Another thought on today’s posts. IMO someone the size of Casey would not be looking to break her mother’s neck to kill her. Cindy’s not a little woman herself. The neckbreaking search was done in March along with the search on missing children, chloroform, ect. Whether other searches were done we will have to wait until the state releases the complete retrieval of the computer’s “old” stuff.
Remember, deleted emails, Monica Lewinsky & Roaming Bill? There’s a lot of “juicy stuff” yet to come from the bowels of those computers IMO. I feel strongly Casey lived a lot of her time on a computer, and it wasn’t just facebook and myspace and instant messengers.
Blink, I read the depo’s from Burch & Ridgeway last night and spent a lot of time thinking of Burch saying George had called Amscot prior to coming to Johnson’s. Burch said he did not know if the letter sent out says it’s at Amscot, he thinks it just gives an address.
I thought immediately that an address search on the computer would give you a name & number.
Shoot, Kleat, you are right—-the disappearing baby trick could TOTALLY be foiled by someone like Jesse (and his dad). I guess the Ants would all have to move out of town leaving no forwarding address….or kc would have to use some of her google search info on poor Jesse, bwa ha ha! Ok, seriously, you are right, it would be harder than I thought (but mebbe not impossible, tee hee).
Keith told george and then they went to amscot.
Blink, I love you and all the hard work that you put into this site!! With that said, I just new your new article “Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Caylees Autopsy Revelations Part II” would be released today of all days being it is the 1 year Anniversary of KC’s arrest!! First, I know patience is a virtue but I’m 40 yrs old and still haven’t mastered that yet so without sounding like a spoiled brat, even though I am spoiled to this site now, any chance we might know when to expect the new article? I’m addicted to this site and read here every morning and before bed hoping to see the new article! Will it be out soon? I know these things must take up much time but I’m just curious as to when it might be out? By the way, the posters here are great and have a lot of great ideas and input…it’s amazing! If I have to learn to be patient I’d really rather be taught by someone like yourself, lol. I think the work you do here is impeccable and I have much respect for you so if I must wait then not much I can do about it, just am very interested in what you have to say and what’s in store for us next!! Your friend always, Shae!!
well george claims he called amscot and talked tp a woman who told him it had been there 3 days, catherine says no anthony called, george doesnt say when he called but says it was on his company phone (?)he also says he guesses(?) casey told him the car was out of gas?
Oh and by the way, please excuse all the typos like the misspelling of my name amoung other things in my last comment, Sick with Sinus Infection and Dr medicated me with some awesome stuff…really shouldn’t be operating heavy machinery…lol. Pardon any spelling errors please! Shaye : )

I called Johnson’s and the woman who answered said the main office opens at 7:00am but I would have to call in the morning to learn the hours for Johnson’s East (7777 Narcoossee) where the Pontiac was. They probably open by 7:00am.
However, George had to go to the PO first to get the letter, and the local post office branch at 7018 Narcoossee doesn’t open until 9:00am, so George’s first visit to Johnson’s on July 15 wasn’t before 9:15am and may have been later since he said he was running errands that morning and paid two bills somewhere in addition to picking up the registered letter. Frpm the phone pings (below), I would guess it was later in the morning when George got to the impound lot for the first time that day.
George said he went to Johnson’s for information (find out what he needed to get the car, how much money, and where the car had been left). Then he called Cindy. She went to the bank for the money and George went home for the title, registration, and a gas can (because of Casey’s history). Cindy picked up George at Hopespring Drive and the two went back to 7777 Narcoossee for the car. Cindy and George paid for the car after an argument and said they returned home with the car in the early afternoon. They removed the battery, Cindy sent George to work, and then Cindy returned to Gentiva.
I don’t know what the exact times for these events are, but here are some frameworks for July 15:
12:48p Cindy called Casey’s cell phone (missed call)
12:58p Casey called Cindy’s cell for 3.5 minutes (213 seconds)
1:11p Cindy called Casey’s cell for 1.3 minute duration (89 seconds)
2:00p Time that Cindy’s co-worker Debbie Bennett said Cindy returned to work after picking up the car. Cindy told her co-workers about getting the car from impound with the car seat and Caylee’s favorite doll. Cindy’s co-workers told her to call the police and go home, but Cindy insisted on staying until her area supervisor told her to leave and find Casey.
4:00-5:00p Cindy returned home from work per her testimony
4:27p Cindy sent text message to Casey’s cell phone: “Call me asap major prob”
4:44p Casey sent text message to Cindy’s cell phone (unknown message)
4:45p Cindy sent text message to Casey’s cell phone: “Call me”
4:48p Casey sent text message to Cindy’s cell phone (unknown message)
Yes Maura, but your assuming he went there first. We dont know that as a fact. Personally, I believe once they recieved the notice they knew EXACTLY what was there. This is the same guy that was plugging his lawn the day after OCSO drove on it to arrest his kid. Does anyone really believe that notice sat on the front door ?
ps. he pays some bills at that amscot..
B
Johnson’s hours are:
Mon-Sat 11:59pm-12midnight
They take credit cards and cash and you have to pay before getting access to the car. You also have to show proof you own the vehicle according to the person answering the phone.
As for the Amscot issue, I think Casey really did want it stolen since she could not get it somewhere where she could have an oopsie and have it catch fire…but if she really wanted to catch the thing on fire, why not just put Caylee in the carseat (Despite the stench) and when the car catches fire in a remote area (and there are plenty of places there, the body could have been consumed and no one would have known she had been dead if there was nothing but bones? She’d been treated a the mother of an accident victim…
Simon Burch was surprised that George knew the car had been towed from Amscot, but Burch only talked to George during George’s second visit to the lot that day. Burch’s point was that the letter sent to car owner’s does not indicate the location from which the car was towed, but George could have easily learned that from Nicole Lett in the office.
George said he went to the office in the morning to find out the details about the towing event and then left for the title and registration after calling Cindy to get the money ($466). He went into detail during his FBI interview about how angry he was at the size of the bill and how the woman in the office had explained each separate charge to him. That was before he called Cindy.
Given that Casey had been telling George and Cindy that she was in Jacksonville, it would be a given that George would ask Nicole Lett where the car was left. Lett would not have had any reason to withhold that information.
George also told the FBI that he had to wait about 30 minutes for Cindy to get the money and pick him up because the tow yard was only a few miles from the Anthony house whereas Cindy had to drive from Winter Park to southeast Orlando and stop at the bank along the way. I can easily believe George called Amscot while he was waiting for Cindy.
***
Blink, what do you mean (comment 1359) that Casey’s parents were planning to rent a car for her? When and for what reason?
kleat
I took the liberty to call them and they are open tomorrow from 7am to six!
1363 Kleat
Casey told Cindy she, Caylee, Jeff, Zachary, and Zanny were staying in Orlando at the Hard Rock Hotel for the weekend of June 28 and 29. She said Jeff was returning to Jacksonville on June 30 and that she and Caylee would be home that night. She never showed up.
She pretended to be in Orlando on July 1, 2, and 3 (the day Cindy visited Universal to see Caylee), and it was on July 3 that Casey claimed she and Caylee had actually been in Jacksonville since the beginning of the week.
Maura, gotcha, thanks!
What would explain the car being neatly parked right between the lines, and right beside the dumpster, an ‘empty’ gas tank when George picked up the vehicle (and presumably, when towed), while allowing for the idea that the site was chosen by Casey and that the car was actually driven into the parking spot rather than pushed in from the street where it had died, would simply be a very low amount of gas in the tank (known from the guage that was working or a small amount added from cans) and keeping the car running, walking away and coming back to remove the keys. (presumably Casey would not want to sit in the vehicle and wait while the last drop of gas turns to fumes)
i wonder why gary ridgeway didnt smell the smell

I listened to Catherine Sanchez’s LE interview, and she said she saw the car in the lot next to the dumpster when she got to work on June 27 “probably in the morning.” She was not certain of the time.
susanm, the Simon Burtch interview gives some insight into that. Closed up, less time, smaller body (ie than another that was much worse– adult man there for 5 days before removed)
Has it ever been said what local Amscot GA went to when he pd his elec bill before he picked up the certified letter at the post office on 7/15?
Am still reeling from the newest revelation: “Her parents”.
Man, oh, Mannnnnnnnnnn.
This doesn’t answer the question about the sequence of George’s actions on the 15th concerning picking up the vehicle, but this portion of Cindy’s interview with OSCO does shed light on a few notable matters, such as… yard work, the car lot story, taking the battery out in case SOME UNKNOWN PERSON might just try to take it, how she found Amy–hint: “Casey’s PURSE”
7. Q. 15th is when…
8. A. 15th was the day that George picked up the um, okay this is….
9. Q. The tow yard put the thing on the door on the 11th
10. A. Right but we didn’t find it until the 13th.
11. Q. Doing yard work.
12. A. Yes. George was planting plugs out in the front yard cause we killed
13. all that grass out there (WHA-WHA-WHAT? PLANTING PLUGS cause you two had KILLED ALL THAT GRASS OUT THERE??? EXCUSE ME???) cause right on the two sides and I was out
14. weeding out front and he was putting the plugs in the front yard (GOT THAT, DETECTIVE? PAY ATTENTION TO the great and powerful oz in THE FRONT YARD, –and don’t mind that man behind the curtain–CAUSE SHE HAS NOW REPEATED IT IN THE SAME SENTENCE). And
15. I noticed something on the front door. Monday he couldn’t go down
16. to the post office and neither could I, it was my early day, it was the
17. opposite way. That was his first day at his new job. So Tuesday he
18. didn’t have to go in until later in the afternoon so he went down,
19. picked up the register letter at the post office. And then he called me
20. some time between 12, I don’t know 11:30, 12 or something like that (CINDY’S VERSION IS POST OFFICE FIRST, THEN TOW COMPANY AFTER)
21. and let me know that it was from a tow company and he was gonna
22. go down there. And then he called me from the tow company
23. because they needed both of us to be there and they needed the title
24. of the car to prove it was our car. So I met him, I stopped by the
25. bank; got $500 out cause he said it…

Cindy Anthony/08-74777/YW/090908
1. Q. That’s how much the tow bill was?
2. A. It was 480 something because they charged us from the 30th even
3. though we didn’t.
4. Q. Uh huh (Affirmative).
5. A. It’s 20 something dollars a day.
6. Q. You had to take the title down.
7. A. We took the title down, had to sign for it, show our proof of who we
8. were. While I was doing that the guy went with George to get the car
9. and the guy was with George when he opened the trunk. And got the
10. bag of, plastic bag will of pizza and the pizza box was folded up in
11. there and the bag had the maggots and stuff. And the guy was there,
12. I’m not sure if George handed the bag to the guy or if the guy or if
13. George put it in the dumpster. And then you guys picked that up with
14. George so that’ll be up to George to tell you guys that.
15. Q. Okay. And then uh, George drove the car home and you followed
16. him in your…?
17. A. Yes. And we parked it in the garage, opened everything up, took the
18. battery out of it just in case someone (SOMEONE??!) came home to try to get the car
19. we took the battery out of it. Never know.
20. Q. Someone being? (I LOVE THIS QUESTION– GET ‘ER!!)
21. A. I don’t know anybody. (HUH???! LOL!) I have no idea, I’m not, I don’t wanna
22. speculate on something I don’t know (LOL!! YEAH, RIGHT– THIS FROM THE WOMAN WHO LOVES TO SPECULATE THAT EVERY PERSON THAT CASEY KNOWS IS THE FREAKING KIDNAPPING-FELON-NANNY) but that’s our thought was. And
23. then um when I got off work I was home by, between 5:30 and 6, is
24 when I found, I didn’t go through the car, I found um, the, Amy’s
25.
22
Cindy Anthony/08-74777/YW/090908
1. number in the front under Caysee’s purse (UNDER CASEY’S “PURSE”, GOT THAT??), so I called her first, never
2. met Amy before that. Had heard about her but never met her.
3. Q. Went and picked up Amy?
4. A. Yelp. (EVER NOTICE HOW CINDY SAYS “YELP”, which sounds a lot like “HELP!” WHILE GETTING FLUMMOXED DURING HER INTERVIEWS WITH LE??)
Something tells me I need to go back and read the statements from all of the tow lot employees again…

George went to the Post Office first then to Johnson’s. I believe he said he knew it was there for three days because Cindy found the registered letter on Sunday July 13th, and he didn’t get to the P.O. until Tuesday July 15th.
Here is what I found …
(DETECTIVE EDWARDS) Q. The tow yard put the thing on the door on the 11th (CYNTHIA ANTHONY) A. Right but we didn’t find it until the 13th. Q. Doing yard work. A. Yes. George was planting plugs out in the front yard cause we killed all that grass out there cause right on the two sides and I was out weeding out front and he was putting the plugs in the front yard. http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=casey+anthony+neighbor+jean&ei=utf-8&fr=b2ie7 i am wondering if this interview is the reason some think that casey left after the fight on the night of the 15th taking caylee with her? in this interview with the neighbor,he states a fight, but he doesnt know exactly when it was,(doesnt seem to me to be 15th)even if it was, he says she got in the car without caylee. the only reference to the fight ive found is an interview with lee but i cant find it now.
I thought that the ‘yelp’ was a transcript typo and would have been ‘help’.
And here’s a dumb question, but what the heck are ‘plugs’??? What do people in Orlando do with their lawns, killing the grass?? And in the coming wet season– where herbicides would spread into the water table and everywhere else?
(but, what are ‘plugs’?)
yep, ‘purse’– like the repeated explainations about women never leaving their ‘purse’ anywhere, therefore Casey didn’t leave her purse voluntarily in the car.
also in this interview he says it (the fight was around the time cindy started asking questions(whats he talking about?) is this one of those edited ones?
The theory was to create someone else in Casey’s scenario, and the battery out of car explanation just fits that ‘someone else had to help’ theory. Cindy had it down pat early on. Not sure about George, or when he came up to speed with the spin.
boo,i caught that about kw looking for the bag in the back yard,(who told him to look for a bag?)so if you put blinks(something was found in the by)+(boos) the bag of stuffed animals was in a shallow grave in by *(me) casey stole the body out the by = casey stole the body and replaced it with the bag of stuffed animals &fathers day ballon(like a teen stuffing the bed as they sneak out) and when cindys goes to retrieve the body she finds the bag of stuffed.just saying, im not married to this idea but it does work for me as a possible til further evidence.ive been watching those interviews of just casey and george i wonder if he &lee arent doubling, they seem to be encouraging a confession, priest bible ,wonder what passages he wanted to bookmark,ha!.he is more sympathetic with her treats her like a victim like she wants to be i’m onto to something here but have to listen a few more times,is there one where he says i wish you wouldve come to me sooner,i cant find it now.casey may try to blame it on cindy (to raise doubt) but i am now convinced it was casey, wont work. george is disgusting in his glee at the business oppurtunities this has opened up ,he is a new man, in casey’s favor, seems she not interested in blood money (she mentions twice she wants to get a job (once cindy snickers and says YOU DONT HAVE TO WORK)or she knows better than than bite the bait, this really should be business faud

maura has casey said the words i did not kill caylee? or i am not quilty?
wonder what cindy did when she went back to work, does she have a work computer?
The YARD:
Shirley Plesea wrote to her sister, and mentioned to LE, about Cindy doing all that work in the yard (over the July 4th weekend–just after our famed date of JULY 3RD).
And now we have Cindy saying that she and George were busy in that yard again, the following weekend, planting plugs, because “we killed all that grass”.
I’m wondering if perhaps she sprayed the yard with some chemical in an effort to “sanitize” it, and ended up killing some of their grass in the process. She and Casey both have a tendency to screw up and tell on themselves. Maybe not, but it’s awfully curious.
The CAR BATTERY:
Remember, the battery was removed BEFORE she found Casey, and hence, BEFORE she heard the Nanny-Kidnapped-Caylee story.
I’m guessing that they removed the battery to keep CASEY–and no one else, real or imagined, from “stealing” the car back. I think that was the implication of the detective’s question. And if Cindy is trying to suggest that she thought someone else who may have helped Casey kill Caylee would be coming for the car, wow does she have a bunch of explaining to do.
The WHOLE CRAZY CAR SITUATION:
Does anyone else have a hard time swallowing their story about when they found out the car had been impounded? I’m also very suspicious about the fact that George brought gas cans with him.
Remember. Casey had supposedly told them she was in Jacksonville–with the car–and that Jeff Hopkins had taken it in for mechanical repairs. If NO ONE told them otherwise, wouldn’t they logically guess that there was a mechanical break-down which resulted in the car being towed vs. just assuming that it had run out of gas?? I mean, how ODD that George just assumes that it ran out of gas, which is what turns out to be the story that Casey was telling all of her pals?? (Or maybe a psychic called him with a tip.-Obviously kidding).
Which brings us full circle back to the car rental situation.
Why were her parents going to rent a car for her if Jeff was getting the Pontiac fixed for her down in Jacksonville???
That is my belief. Recall the random text to WW he did not think was meant for him? Also- remember Amy’s reference to Will’s tow buddy? To my knowledge, he has never been publicly ID’d. Wonder if he worked for Johnsons?
And no, I do not believe the Anthony’s first found out her car was impounded when George went to the PO. Your daughter/grandaughter are “missing” for a month, you get a certified notice and you wait to pick it up? No way in Haites. To my knowledge the Food Network did not have all it’s premieres lined up that day to keep George in the house.

Grass plugs:
http://www.the-lawn-advisor.com/Zoysia-Grass-Plugs.html
In Florida, the sun is so strong that soft grasses like those common on northern lawns just burn up. The grass here is tough to withstand the sun and is sold in sod mats and plugs.
Here is some new info !!!
