Tracy Ocasio Case: Unidentified Female Body Found in Apopka NOT Tracy Ocasio
At approximately 8am this morning, police discovered the remains of an adult woman have been found in Apopka, in the area of Roundlake Road and 4700 block of Ondich Road in North Orange County after a report from a jogger of an unusual smell in the area. The female jogger went further into the woods and discovered the remains.
Jim Solomon, spokesperson for OCSO, stated the body had been there for some time and appeared suspicious.

Where was the picture taken of Hatway standing in the water?
New to the site. Wondering if they ever figured out who the woman was and WHEN and HOW she died. Curious if her neck was broken and if she died before Hataway was arrested.
Wondering how far the location of the body found was from the reported sighting of Tracy’s car and the known place where George’s vehicle was found.
Also wondering if that area was near where James and friends were doing drugs, when George disappeared.
Lots of people have an outdoor making out / experimenting with drugs / partying place, that they frequent in younger ages – before they own their own apartments – often wooded, secluded places – where very few people go.
If I am remembering right, in the Casey Anthony case, she dumped the body in the woods where friends had said Casey hung out when she was younger.

blink- NO, I am not at all trying to say Rachel was a crack addict. I was referring to the man that witnessed the incident. You said he was finally questioned by the police while in jail for crack cocaine. I see how you could have read it the other way…so sorry.
Cnn has a story about Tracy in the crime section today. I’m so anxious for answers, this case has really hit home. Thoguhts and prayers going to the Ocasio family and all of Tracy’s friends – hopefully something comes out soon, this has dragged on too long…

BOOT FOUND IN WOODS MAY BE TRACY OCASIO
Just saw the stories about the boot in the woods and was coming on here to post but I see Lily already posted. This is awesome, I really hope it’s her boot and can lead to more info. One of the articles I read said her mom isn’t sure its her boot but a friend says she kept a pair just like it in her car, called them her comfortable shoes. I never read anything about them finding boots in her car so it would make sens if someone disposed of it or if she put them on to be comfortable in some sort of outing….hoping for some movement in this case. Thinking of Liz and Joe and all of tracy’s other friends and family!!!

I hope it’s hers, and I hope this will bring out a new lead. Because there has been NOTHING for weeks!
I bet it is Tracy’s…Looks to me like a scenerio where, she WAS wearing them, was chased (obiviously by this HATTAWAY) and she knews she could run faster without them, so took them off and ran. Maybe there is only one because James saw only one in the dark, and did search for the other (not finding it)…I sure do hope this is a break! I feel so deeply for her family and friends!!!!
This would be both good and very, very sad. But, I will be glad if the family gets at least some closure and that this could lead to whatever could put Hataway, or whoever, away for a very long time. What’s both frustrating and puzzling is that Hataway couldn’t even be bothered to walk more than the 150 yards to his house!?! If he disposed of her in the area off of Bluford Avenue, and then dumped the car off of West Franklin (near his house), then she never made it that far – and he basically drove himself home! Not only that, but, his father would have been lying about having seen her at all much left having left safely as he has stated.

Maybe I missed this – but where was the boot found in proximity to where Hattaway lives, where her car was found, where her car was “spotted” in that one tip where they said he car was parked along the road? And where is this search this weekend?

I could be wrong but I believe the boot was found in the same area the car had been “seen”.
By looking at some maps, I speculate what happened was, Tracy never did go to Jimmy’s. I think something transpired within the drive to “drop him off at home”, and she pulled over on the side road where the car and boot was seen (if I am correct about the boot being in the same area/stop.)I think she thought she needed to save her life, and she was going to ditch the car, and run for it. I think she made it into the woods, took off the shoes, started to run and he tracked her down. Interesting to me though, theres only one boot so far recovered. It makes me wonder if the hat she was wearing fell off too, and Jimmy was only able to recover ONE of the boots, as well as the hat. Im so anxious to see if they find anything in this w/e’s search! I dont understand how the boot was found so much later after when the area has been searched before!
I wonder if Detectives have told Jimmy, heyyy buddy look what we found, just to stir his pot, to get a reaction before the results come in. hmm?
Jenna, I gotta tell ya, and I know this is not a popular opinion, but I think they are barking up the wrong tree. Imo, that boot was planted there. It is no coincidence the boot is found, the freezer “call in” 2 days apart. Somebody is messing with the Huttos and it cant be Jimmy Hataway. There is no way that boot was in those woods under fla conditions for 3 months. No way no how.

…Keeping in mind how DARK those woods are (where the boot was found) So even if it is NOT Tracy’s, somebody should be worrying.

If you look at one of the pics re: the boot, you can see they were continuing investigation of the area well into the night. it was PITCH BLACK if it werent for the cop cars, If it were Tracy, she was only working with moonlight. What a desperate helpless feeling.
i am ecstatic about the boot,i had a feeling something would show up,i was hoping and thinking (tracy seems to think quick on her feet) that tracy perhaps would have a chance to trail something personal(ala hansel & gretel’s pepples).or as blink seems to think it was planted my second hope: that somebody knows something and wants to tell,BRAVO, gimme more.. bigger ,bolder.i hope the perp got a piece of that boot.

I heard on the news last night (as I drifted off to sleep) that the search turned up nothing ALTHOUGH it is in the same location as the yellow car someone witnessed pulled over on the side of the road there in the wee hours of the morning she went missing.
The intersection of Bluford and Rt 50, is where they say the boot was found, which is roughly 0.5 miles from the cell tower Tracy’s phone is believed to have pinged from the night she went missing. Her phone, reportedly pinged 0.2 miles from the tower. I hope they organize a new search.

Tink, I am going to ask you to read the coverage of Tracy’s case on here. It is extensive and I am of the same opinions contained therein. Start by asking why Tracy’s complaint against Paul Hutto can’t be released from 4/15?

So, she happened to know the group rather well. I from reading that, can’t figure out who she conisders “the cute one” & “the ugly”.

I agree with Blink about the boot been a set-up. With the past rains that have come and gone, that boot should look worst. With respect to the LE I don’t believe a word they say. I know that my brother believes everything they are telling him, and he is aware that there were things he wasn’t told either.

I keep reading and looking at back postings but it is looking dismal for anything new??? I had hoped the boot was something but I must say I agree with you on it — it looks better than my winter boots that stay in my closet year to year. It just didn’t show much wear and tear or being in the open weather. Will keep praying for both families.

as to #78, the Warlocks are a huge presence in FL. One of their chapters used to come in to the bar I worked at in Longwood, FL. They are bad news but I have not known or heard of them attacking women. They do not value women that highly…wives or girlfriends must wear a PO patch (property of __________). However they usually protect these women as if they were their own.
The patch they mention in the article indicates that this guy is what they call a “probate” he is not a full member of the Warlocks, he may have the top and bottom patch but would not be a full member until he gets his full patch which has the phoenix on it. All biker gangs will have some sort of trial period, or probation which usually includes humiliation, servitude and tests but murder is not usually one of them. I think this guy is just a wacko and he’ll probably be denied admission to the Warlocks.
From what I read- the initiation to become a “full member” includes killing someone. That is why I brought it up.
I have spoken with a member, I really dont believe that to be true, and Jimmy Hataway was no “cadet”. He had pissed a few of them off, I was told there was no chance even if he wanted.

It is my personal opinion, and I say this with much respect, that they are barking up the wrong tree.
With regard to this criminal mischief case, there were 50 guys crossing the straight, some with shaved heads and most with tats in the dark. I hope they have something more concrete as his bond was pulled from this case.

I really don’t understand… It’s illogical for Hataway to keep silence. Plus, it is too obvious and simple and everything in this case points to him: Tracy was last seen leaving bar with Hataway, her car was found near his house. Seems like it all was planned… But not by Hataway. But, yes, he was the last person who was last seen with her. I’m from other country, and for me its very hard to follow all the story, but I do try to. No place for emotions to be expressed here, it’s impossible, but I really need a kind of website that maybe regulary updates information about Tracy. Or am I right at the kind of site I’m searching for?
Still hope that Tracy will be found.
And just one more point. How could these people live all these long and terrible days since Tracy is missing? How can they keep silence even if they did something bad or at least know any clue?! If this is Hataway, why doesn’t he say it?! What are these people? What are their souls made of? Or do they have souls at all?

Is it possible in the investigating practice that if the police find no real evidence against Hataway, they will be forced to free him because of the lack of evidence? I hope that there is no chance it is possible. Because if it is, then my vision is that they all (Hataway, Hutto, else) try to turn all this case to exact this road.
However, the fact that they try to blame each other stands for them to be involved in the case. And this is awful.
He is not currently incarcerated for any crimes relating to Ms. Ocasio.

Technically speaking, “a person of interest” is a media term. There is no such legal term. For practical purposes, he has not been named a suspect and there is no evidence linking him to her disappearance. I do believe he is guilty of the Casselberry incident, but there is alot of holes in that case.

James Hataway is under constant video surveillance at the Orange County Jail after officials learned he complained about conditions in the facility and expressed concerns of retribution for his comments.
“He has been moved to a location where he can be better observed,” jail spokesman Allen Moore said. “He has been put in a location where it can be documented should anything inappropriate occur.”
The move came after the Orlando Sentinel shared jail “inmate request forms” that Hataway apparently mailed to the newspaper with officials at the correctional facility.
The six-page letter sent to the Sentinel is critical of conditions at the Orange County Jail and takes issue with the inmate grievance process at the sprawling correctional complex.
“This process, it seems, is effectively designed to be ineffective,” reads a hand-written note from Hataway. “In order to get a grievance, one must fill out a ‘request form’ to request a grievance. This ‘request form’ must include the reason the grievance is being requested. Then, after scrutiny, approval or denial (usually denial) is then issued.”
The note, dated Oct. 5 and apparently signed by Hataway, goes on to say the process allows corrections officers and their superiors “to screen and censor potentially damaging complaints.”

I am glad to see that people still care that a young woman is missing. We aren’t getting much information lately but I haven’t forgotten and I hope all those reading this do not forget either. I don’t know what happened and the frustration is palpable.
I check her website, and this blog for any scrap of information. I still can’t believe Hutto was cleared and I wish Jimmy would tell the whole truth, what ever it may be. Thanks to those pasting articles. God bless the families involved.
