Haleigh Cummings Case: Ron Cummings Files for Divorce From Misty
BREAKING NEWS
Ron Cummings, father of missing Haleigh Ann Marie Cummings, has filed for divorce from the last person to see his daughter alive, and his wife, Misty Croslin Cummings.
Ron Cummings will be giving an exclusive interview this evening on the Nancy Grace Show, 8PM EST on the HLN network.
This news comes on the heals of major developments in this case over the last 2 weeks.
Misty Croslin’s Mother, and brother, have both been arrested on unrelated charges recently, as has Ron Cummings and his brother.

How about Ron never should have been playing around nor should he have married a 17 year old…….I sorta agree with #3 this is a whole family of Forest Gumps…..(please note her mom had NO TEETH)They are all just plain STUPID…dumb as a box of rocks….but then I might be insulting ROCKS! Why oh why didn’t the cops ever arrest this punk grown up wanta be? Her mom jailed….brother was jailed…..family moved like roaches in the night…she running around like she hasn’t a care in the world…..where is she getting the money? she has NO job….only one working was Ron for god sakes….What and the hell is wrong with her so lawyer? He is stupid too? This whole thing has been a joke on the police department. And to me the cops are really starting to look like a bunch of Barney Fife’s….They can not do their job….why hasn’t the FBI arrested this so called step mom?

Well, well, well….ol’ Ron stayed married just long enough to keep the media off his back about have “relations” with a minor. That marriage came quick on the heels of people pointing the finger at him regarding Misty’s “age” and the divorce just as quick when the dust settled down on that subject. I don’t believe that marriage had anything to do with anything other than Ron covering his butt (can I say “butt” here? — smiles)with “age” legalities. Just sayin’….
He has not filed for a divorce as of yet. Just announced that he would be seeking one in the near future.
Who the hell cares about Ron & the soon-to-be-ex Misty Cummings and their matrimonial ablutions? Where the heck is Haleigh? That’s the only thing that matters in this sad saga of trailer trash tripe.

Good grief but this couple is odious, although watching NG live right now, I must admit Ronald is cleaned up and looks like a banker tonight. He must have someone else dressing him now. He looks normal and healthy. Maybe filing for divorce had an instantaneous positive effect on him.
Hmmm…what happened to keeping your friends close and your enemies closer Ron? I’d wait awhile before I pulled the divorce plug..err maybe I’d be looking for some pillow talk.
I remember Ron making the statement regarding the marriage. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. At the time I thought that sucked that he said that but once everything was coming out I can see what and why he did it. Could he have hoped to gain her trust enough that she would slip up and tell him something?
I got into this on the Anthony case but on this one there so much less to go on. I can guess all day long but I can’t point to any possible scenario that would be any more likely than any other well thought out scenario. On this one … the evidence really is scarce.
Has anyone actually seen these divorce papers filed?
Is this another distraction? I would think if Ron did marry her to possibly gain her trust as I have considered myself (no other reason would make sense? to me)
A lot of people I see discussing this case seem to think he married her to shut her up about him doing something to Haleigh himself (although they choose not to believe that Ron is the ONLY one that has an alibi)
I am hoping that by him divorcing her (IF) he is telling us that he really is innocent of harming Haleigh and he really does not know what happened to her as if he did do something or knows something, I really dont think he would divorce her and give her a chance to get him put in jail from her age and anger at the divorce?
MAYBE just MAYBE RON finally is to the point of FINDING HIS DAUGHTER AND BRINGING HER HOME>>>>>>>

Just like someone posted earlier, stupid is as stupid does, thoughts and prayers for that little girl Haleigh but I do think her father really cares and wants his daughter back but I think he needs to go postal on Misty so she finally confess to either leaving the girl alone or putting that girl in harm ways or directly doing something to that precious little girl.

What has ever happened to Jr, Haleigh’s little brother. When Ron got cusdotial rights to him (and of course Haleigh), Ron and his Aunt were to be the care givers…not a 16 year girl (who sleeps with the dad) and Ron’s Aunt. the magistrate said Ron could provide better for the children…and he had a job which would provide health insurance.
Well, he has none of that today! Why is Jr still with him?
What has happened to the relationship between Jr and the girl he called “step mom?” The girl Jr. loved so much and wanted his dad to marry her….now she is gone….his mohter is gone….his sister is gone. What is left for the child?
Misty was with Donna Brock of Orlando TES. This Donna was the driver of the car accused in the road rage incident. So why is this Donna hanging with Misty?

Yeah know Blink….I love reading all the comments on the pages…I find it so GD amazing just how many of us think and rethink and actually know more about these cast of characters then the police. One thing I do not understand is why can’t the cops just go and PICK UP MISTY? She is clearly the main suspect here. She does have lawyer so, you mean to tell us that the police can’t just pick up the phone and tell Mr. Lawyer get you client behind in here NOW? Are the police hoping maybe just maybe, Misty is as dumb as she looks and acts and may lead them to Haleigh (dead or alive)? I am sure all of here do not get the pussyfooting around with her. She seems to be laughing at the police….Any thoughts?
They cannot question her at this point without admitting she is a potential suspect, at which point she will invoke, the end.
I do not think anyone believes she does not know exactly what happened, but knowing and proving are 2 different things.

Because it was personal and not on the record, let me say he is very hopeful that the split produces what happened to Haleigh, but not very optimistic it will have that effect. He is the Father of 2 little girls, this affects much the way Caylee’s case did/does.

Did anyone notice the outfit for yesterday’s Today Show or whatever CBS Katie show that was? ‘Have you seen me? sweatshirt — same as the set up for Caylee’s t-shirts, same storyline– substitute Misty for Casey, they need to look for the right person ‘line’, putting the blame ‘out there’ to others, same shows for their own purposes, Kouric etc. But Misty’s hair was covering partly, her ‘message’ about the missing Haleigh. If she intended the t-shirt for anything but her own story promotion, she would have made sure people got a message to please look for Haleigh, and she would have made sure her ‘poster’ for her was clear of her ‘hair’ debris.
Sounds like the divorce would help prevent Husband-Wife Priviledge in a court case… right? As if Ronald and LE are posturing.
Obsesseded, FL law never would have allowed Husband-Wife privilege since a child was involved (as Nancy Grace relentlessly beat into my head). I think he married her to avoid felony statutory rape charges.

Here’s a scenario: Supposing Donna Brock was successful in entrapping Misty into a confession? I will tell you unequivocally this was NOT endorsed by LE. Even the very fact that they had knowledge, if that is indeed true, would render that confession useless and taint every shred of evidence associated with it. It would likely result in an inability to prosecute in a case of a 5 year old dead child. You have seriously got to be kidding me; I am clueless as to why Tim would do this.
This will do wonders for the Caylee Anthony defense team. WTH?

I didn’t watch the show, someone on another site was discussing the interaction and conversations of the guests, so I had to read it for myself. Disclosure: I have a difficult time ‘listening’ to Nancy Grace.
Anyway, Mark Klaas laces into Tim Miller and his tactics for trying to get info out of Misty. Mark NeJame appeared on the show to defend Miller.
Do you think that these actions will place Miller in a different light?
Will it alter his credibility in the Casey Anthony case as well?
I think it is a very true statement that Mr. Klaas made that when it comes to qualified search teams, if LE thinks it is possible for the team itself to attempt to conduct their own investigation with persons of interest, they will refuse their help and alot of people will remain missing. I have great respect for Tim Miller, but I think this was an error in judgement and potentially disasterous.

Have you ever slept through a thunderstorm? I have, my husband has. I mean a booming thunderstorm. IMO, Misty was so exhausted and sleepy that she slept right through her brother banging on the door. He was there that night after 10 PM banging on the door. He could have gone around to the side door, which was actually not locked that night, and entered the trailer without waking Misty. Haleigh probably heard him banging on the door and because she knew him, she was not afraid to go with him. He could have done something to the child and put her in the dumpster but then thought it was a bad idea and moved her. Didn’t the dogs hit on the dumpster? Has he taken a poly? Just saying . . .
Well now is the time Misty is in Jail and momma is out…..did she talk…….well Momma probably said the same thing she did before to get out but just the same MISTY ITS YOUR TURN TO TALK!
Watching Dr.Phil”Alex speaks out” today and wandering if this mother Arin with a troubled teen who has small children is making a reference to Haliegh and the night she went missing.She says she is from northern Florida.

Okay, now here is what I don’t understand and hopefully someone can help me. Misty got hurt when someone robbed her and took her purse while she was trying to purchase illegal drugs. They are looking for the SUSPECTS. Well correct me if I’m wrong but isn;t buying illegal drugs ILLEGAL? Why aren’t they arresting Misty for this??? Just don’t get it.
Maybe LE is letting her find her own level, but looks as if “protective custody” for Misty is indicated. I don’t think the girl is safe out there. She knows too much. She’s the last one to see Haleigh and she’s ever changing her stories.
