TIGER WOODS ACCIDENT: WIFE ELIN NO SLOUCH AT SWINGING CLUB

Update #1– Cops pursuing warrant from Tiger’s medical treatment.

Jupiter, FL– In the interest of disclosure, I admit I am a U G E Tiger Woods fan. (we pronounce it sans the H in Jersey)

Tiger

I dream of the day I could hit a ball and feel the shaft of my driver fall into my palm like an ethereal falsetto, as he does.

Sigh.

Until then, I golf-envy my beloved Eldrick.

In the early morning hours, 2:20 ish AM of this Saturday following Thanksgiving, Mr. Woods had a minor accident at the end of his driveway while backing out in his Escalade. He hit a fire hydrant and tree; sustaining minor injuries.

Today, after the 3rd requested meeting to interview Tiger about the accident, FHP troopers were again turned away at the request of Woods lawyer, Mark Nejame.

Mark Nejame

The neighbors of his enclave neighborhood Windemere called 911.

Why was he backing out of his driveway at that hour, you ask?

Why, he was test marketing, of course.  A Two-fer of sorts.

How else does one test the tensile strength of the rear window of a 2009 Escalade and the latest and greatest in graphite irons?

Allow me to explain. Tiger’s wife, the lovely Elin Woods, sank a club out of Mr. Woods bag (Steve Williams unavailable for consult) into the rear of Mr. Woods SUV. According to Tiger’s statement, Elin acted courageoulsy in that endeavor.

As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I’m pretty sore.

This situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I’m human and I’m not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen again.

This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.

The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.

This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.

Tiger– You have every right to a personal life. If those decisions result in you Umiliating your wife ( again no H in Jersey) we will not maintain our friendship.

I will end up respecting you as a champion athlete who is a jerkwad in his personal life. I cannot imagine your Dad would relish the idea of you being on a conveyor belt at the Enquirer print house.

Now is the time. Make it right. I apologize for the unfair pressure, it is well intended.

The details thus far are so vague. As he was backing up, was it the rear of the escalade that hit the hydrant and tree? Or had he backed out, then in turning to drive forward hit the objects with the front?

And who conveniently comes running out of the house (golf club in hand) and smashes out the rear window of a 4 door SUV to rescue Tiger from the driver’s seat?

    Nothing about it seems right.

  2. NGfromBoston says:

Yep, unless Mrs. Woods was “just having a real bad day”

here are two words Mr. Woods better start explaining:

    Rachel Uchitel

Since Uchitel is now lawyered up herself (Gloria A. no less) than something smells like Peppy Le Pew the Skunk here. Why all this high-end lawyering up if there is nothing on either side to defend?

It’s the good old===deny deny deny game now? BORING! Why does’nt Tiger just man up and make a public statement. Seems as if the cat is out of the bag, so to speak. Lucky Ms. Woods didn’t use the 450cc Titanium Driver …

    =)

  3. lizzy says:

I guess I just fail to see the urgency of the public’s need-to-know in this case. Perhaps his wife doesn’t want to air this in the press until some things are worked out. Perhaps, even though that has the potential to hurt his endorsement contracts, he is honoring her wishes. Or perhaps he is just trying to save his own skin.

But what rights does my curiosity have? What am I missing?

Lizzy- I have no problem with that. As a wife, if the swirling rumors are true, well, let’s just say I could empathize.

That said, as a public figure by choice, this scrutiny is going to happen. I agree to the news portion of the program, and also that whatever happen stay between them. LE has an obligation to investigate a potential domestic dispute and asess the risk to either party. I pray this is not the calm before the storm, but Uchitel hiring Alread makes me nervous.

Nervous until I consider Mark Nejame representing Tiger, he is in the best capable hands.

  4. AtotheK says:

I understand that he was backing out (going under 33 mph-no airbag deployed) hit the hydrant, causing the SUV to swing around and hit the tree on the passengers side.
The tree was immediately cut down that night.(Why?)
The 911 report that Tiger was on the ground unconcious.

I would guess the Elin smashed out the window either to unlock the doors (but why get a man out of a minor accident if the car is not on fire?) or she was still in an tirade.

It seems every sports hero out there think they are untouchable even with their personal life.

Blink, Your words to Tiger are spot on!! I feel the same!

What looks like a snake and acts like a snake…usually is a snake. Where there is smoke there is fireeeeeee. How sad is this man if this is all true…..Scumbag….I guess money truly cannot buy HAPPINESS! Even for poor poor Tiger….Shame on him….his father is turning in his GRAVE…..PIG! If its not true….then why did the “other women” run for a lawyer????????? Yeah has plenty he is hiding from…..There is NO such thing as a private life when your out there at the WEEEEE hours of the morning smacking into trees and fire hydrants…PRIVACY?????? His sad reality is he will lose alot of respect if its true….I know I have lost it….And I hate golf…..Such a sad sad little man……And for what????? A woman ????? bad call …..bad call….. you would have better off with balls lost in a sand trap…..

  6. sweetpea says:

My husband and I have been laughing about this story for days.
We have bets on what really happened that night.

I think that Tiger was indeed backing out of his driveway at 2:30 AM
But only because his wife was up waiting for him and was swinging a golf club when he drove his drunk (probably cheating) self home.
    hee! hee! You go girl!

I wonder if his private jet went anywhere that day/night?

    Just IMPO

  7. soozer says:

I’m with you on this Blink. Only mistake is St. Eldrick (my beloved Tiger) did not call Nejame on Friday morning. He was two days late to the party and that’s why this has blown up so big.

  8. San says:

When you put yourself in the public eye and makes millions upon millions from a sport that has given you every opportunity and opened many doors for you in life you cannot expect your private life to be private. Tiger made a bad choice by going out to clubs. Just because you are visiting New York doesn’t mean you have to go club hopping. Why be like these other celebrities. Why not be different. He is a master at what he does but as we all have found out he is just like us regular people and he made a costly error.

He is on damage control and there is no doubt about that. He could lose millions in endorsements. Even though he might be a victim of abuse it was his error in judgment that got him in this situation.

It’s like the old saying “do as I say not as I do”. It doesn’t work that way Tiger. He had a reputation that he and his management team created and needed to uphold and he failed.

Everyone has failures in life. Hopefully he has learned from this mess he created but I seriously doubt he did.

  9. sanny says:

So why not speak to the FPD…..then I thought OK…

    CHERCHEZ LA FEMME….

then she appeared and lawyered up by flying to LA………..after

    Nejame was called for Woods….

    Actually WGAFF

  10. Shawna says:

While I am not a (h)uge golf fan, I have had a great deal of respect for Tiger. He presented himself with a great deal of class and dignity and appeared to have been taught valuable lessons in life by his adoring parents. Well, all of that has gone out the golf-club-shattered window. “Do whatcha gotta do, Elin”!

  11. Wendy says:

I must just be a terrible person. I can see other people coming up with theories of what might have happened, but I immediately saw something different. I’m not sure if I should be ashamed of myself, or if maybe I’m a better “thinker” than I thought? Ha, that sounded weird.

We all know that anything Tiger or Elin’ may have wanted at 2:30am more than likely would not have been picked up by them. I’m just assuming they probably have someone that could have run to the store for them, if that were the case. So, where was he going? IMO, he was running. For one of two reasons.

I think they got in argument that escalated to the point of just about “out of control” and Tiger was either leaving the house so nothing worse happened, such as, nothing more than a laceration to his face, or getting whacked with a golf club….OR, maybe he was leaving because she was mad enough and out of control enough that he was going to have to defend himself, and he is in fact a nice enough guy that he doesn’t hit women, so he left so that it wouldn’t get to that point, out of self-defense or otherwise.

Once again, IMO, he jumped in the Escalade and right before he was able to drive off, here she came behind him, smashing out the 2 back windows of the vehicle. He was in a panic, mad, upset, angry, whatever term you use, but it caused him to not drive safely, and he hit the hydrant, which caused him to swerve and ended up hitting the tree. Now, he either received the facial lacerations from the wreck, which I’m still not convinced of, or he received them from his wife. There is a third possibility about him hitting the hydrant and the tree, and that would be that maybe he was actually hit in the head with the club just prior to driving away, and it took a second or two for the pain/unconsciousness to set in, and then the wreck happened.

When you view the pictures, you can see a golf cart parked beside his vehicle. I just assumed that when she heard and/or saw him wreck, she jumped in the golf cart, because she didn’t have to take the time to run in and get keys or anything, and I’m sure there are golf carts parked and easily accessible all over their property. She may very well have had a golf club in her hand when she got there, but only because she hadn’t had time to drop it, or just hadn’t thought of putting it down. She saw the wreck and just jumped in the cart and took off.

If there were neighbors there, seems like they would have helped him get out, except the neighbor claimed he was already out and laying on the ground. It didn’t specify if that was while Elin’ was with him or before she got there. Either way, it’s possible that he got out thinking he was ok, or just as a first instinct, only to fall over and pass out once he stood up. Possibly from the wreck, or as I said, possibly from a whack to the head from a golf club. I still find it highly unlikely that a wreck caused from a hydrant and a tree, meaning front end damage mostly, wouldn’t cause you to immediately bash out BOTH back windows to pull someone out of the vehicle. SO, I have a couple of problems with that. If Tiger didn’t get out on his own, and she indeed pulled him out, because she saw he was knocked out, then why not bash out the passenger window and unlock the door? Why not the driver door and unlock the door, and pull him out that way? Seems a lot easier.

I’m just rambling now…..but I’ll try to make it shorter…my point is, I believe the bashed out windows happened prior, just as I believe Tiger being knocked “almost” out may have happened before he jumped in to drive off. It’s a possibility he hit his head hard enough in the wreck to get knocked out, but it wasn’t a high speed crash or anything.

I do believe this all started at home, was a big fight, got out of hand, and Tiger was leaving to either get away from a scorned woman with a golf club, or as I said, simply because he didn’t want to have to hit her, and maybe she was getting to the point of being out of control that he would have to defend himself. He didn’t call the cops I’m assuming because he is a very private person, and this was a private matter, not to mention he just didn’t want to call the cops on his wife.

I can remember seeing pictures of Tiger holding his first baby and thinking to myself….wow, he looks like a really nice guy, a proud first time daddy. It struck me because it wasn’t one of those posed, planned pictures that all the Hollywood types take these days. It seemed as though Tiger had found someone he really loved, they had started a family, and were going to live a normal life. By that I mean…not the Hollywood life. The one where you either do or don’t get married, but you live together, you claim to be in love, the kind that will last forever. You have a child or two, either while married, or out of wedlock, then you parade the child and your relationship around on t.v. and use it as just another attempt of making money, only to end as they all do, within a few months or a couple of years tops. Then the children…well, who knows what happens to the children, as we almost never hear about them once they are no longer small, cute and cuddly enough to make money off their pictures, and no longer front page news. I NEVER felt that way about Tiger. I truly felt like he would live a somewhat normal life. Well, besides the fact he has TONS of money, which is not necessarily normal, not in my world anyway. I assumed though, he would raise them much the way his father raised him, and I assumed he loved his wife in the “real way”…not the Hollywood way. I actually had all these thoughts when I first saw those pictures of him and the baby.

I surely hope the tabloid rumors about him aren’t true. Not only would it just cement for me that EACH AND EVERY Hollywood relationship is completely fake and NOTHING like a so called “real life” relationship, but I too could only have adoration for his golf skills, no longer anything else. I would be a little crushed actually, because I truly thought he was different. I shouldn’t say thought….I truly think he is different. Until proven otherwise. BUT, none of this is looking real good right now.

In defense of the wife though, and please understand I’m not advocating violence. I can understand that she and even he wouldn’t want something like an affair going public, especially knowing he is adamant about his privacy….BUT, so far the only thing I can see that mimics a “real life” relationship is, (again not advocating violence)….if in fact I found out my husband were having an affair, not only would I worry that it might get out to the whole world in the tabloids, which would be even more humiliating than just knowing it myself….he better hope there were no golf clubs lying around our home within my reach. Generally I’m fast asleep at 2am, but if I found out he were having an affair, he too would be driving down the driveway as fast as he could, with me right behind him with a golf club, or two.

I do agree though, Tiger is in great hands with Nejame as his attorney. He couldn’t have picked a better one, not only to defend him, but also for public relations of any sort. He is a wonderful guy and attorney. I even said to my husband this morning. The Anthony’s have done some reallyyyyyyy stupid things, but I think by far the dumbest thing they have done is NOT following anything and everything Nejame said, which led Nejame dropping them as clients. Which btw, he did with such grace and dignity, but absolutely made his point on the way out, and that was…..I’m the attorney, a good one at that, either follow my advice or I’m out of here, and the Anthony’s couldn’t follow along. Dumbest thing they ever did.

Ok, sorry for the long rambling post, and remember, don’t bash me too hard, as these are all only my own opinions and may not be at all what anyone else is or has thought/thinking.

  12. suz says:

Ah, sweet schadenfreude of life at last I’ve found thee…!

Have been howling with laughter at the thought of the missus brandishing that club at everyone’s favorite pro golfer! Poor Tiger. Glad he’s ok (did she really knock him unconscious?? deary dear. Hell hath no fury, and all that….).

Listen, I have been waiting for this kid to snap. He really, REALLY needed/needs to. Can you imagine the repression bottled up within him like a coiled industrial spring? His well intentioned dad started him on his path to become the first billionaire athlete at what, 2 years old? What can I say, it totally worked, but Tiger still has to go through the whole process of being human. You go through childhood and then adolescence for a reason, you know, where you get to play (not work all day, every day), and then kind of screw up and briefly hate your folks and start to carve out your own identity. It’s normal. It’s healthy. It’s necessary.

Except for what seems to have been an all too brief strip-club phase, I don’t think our hero got to let loose very much. He even had to saddle his poor daughter with grampa’s name. Yes yes, it’s sweet, respectful, poignant, but it also shows he can’t get out from under his dad’s shadow even in death. (What a joy it will be for the little lass to visit the grave site and see her own name SAM WOODS on the marble. No worries, Tiger has plenty of dough to spring for therapy for the little cutie a few years down the road.)

Sounds like he’s already reined himself in. Too bad. I’m thinking he needs a good, healthy, hefty implosion in order to avoid a full on nervous breakdown.

  13. Nancy says:

I think that there are too many rumors floating around and not enough facts. Many different things could have happened to explain this mess.

That said, Tiger Woods is a very talented, very wealthy man, but when all is said and done, he is still just a human being, and human beings mess up. A lot. He and his wife may be having problems, which led to this situation. Or not. If I were to guess, I would say there was some kind of blowup that escalated into something that he doesn’t want the public to know about. Both he and his wife have a lot to lose, both personally and professionally. As to the lawyers — well, if I were that rich and famous, I would probably have a family lawyer standing by just on principle. It rather surprises me that he didn’t. The fact that both he and the woman that the National Enquirer named have got lawyers now sounds like they are taking sensible steps for self defense. In a situation like this, I don’t blame either one. Living in the public eye must be pretty difficult no matter if one chooses to or not. I think most persons who do didn’t originally have any idea what they were setting themselves up for.

I’m not going to make any judgments for a while. The impression I have had of Tiger Woods is that he’s a nice guy, but even nice guys screw up now and then, and even nice guys are capable of being selfish. And so are beautiful models. I imagine most of the truth will eventually emerge. When it does, it will be soon enough to make judgments.

  14. suz says:

I think she was mad about the NE story (plus there are rumors of text messages wifey may have discovered, tsk tsk), so she bashed him up a bit with a golf club (he told his friends she scratched up his face?), he ran for the car, she followed, bashing out every window she could get to, and in his haste to get away from her—or because she clocked him on the head—he wrecks. Or maybe she dragged him out of the car after the wreck and then whacked him on the head.

  15. Tug says:

I don’t know why we are so quick to blame Tiger Woods for this whole fiasco. Domestic abuse comes in two directions, it is not unbelievable that his wife came after him brandishing a golf club, but not acceptable. Are we forgetting the Chris Brown/Rihanna incident, just why is there a double standard? The evidence points to no wrong doing by Tiger Williams, he is hurt not his wife, Rachel Uchitel has denied publicly that they ever had an affair and intends to sue National Enquirer over the allegations.
Tiger Woods was sober and the hospital records show that… It is very difficult for a man to admit domestic abuse, they feel they deserved it just as woman do, they feel embarrassed just as women do….please wait to hear all the evidence before you accuse. I think highly of Tiger Woods and would be horrified should it have been him brandishing either his fists or a golf club in anger at anyone. However I do believe that Tiger grew up in a loving home where no abuse was evident so I cannot believe he learned that type of behavior.
If he seemed confused and had blood on his face as reported then he was struck pretty hard. Not by a car going less then the speed limit for a short distance, so slow as to not deploy the air bags, and no evidence of blood on the steering wheel. No wonder the police are investigating, I would hope they would investigate any suspicious accident even if it was his wife lying on the road.

  16. Boz says:

The Anthony’s started the rumor about Rachel just to get the media off Hopespring Drive.

  17. J2K says:

So if the story on the Woods’ end is that Elin “courageously” (and very quickly – ie before concerned neighbors who heard the crash came running out) smashed in his back window and climbed thjrough to get him out, did she get treated at the scene as well? Shattered, jagged glass, a panicked scramble through the back of a large vehicle – it’d certainly be a wonder if she had not a scratch…

  18. sanny says:

I bet Elin was aiming at this noggen…….but got the window instead. LOL

She came running out of the house holding the golf club? UMMMM LOL again.

    CHERCHEZ LA FEMME HERE……

  19. Sal says:

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. LOL

  20. Boz says:

I wonder if Tiger attended the Kobe Bryant “heel the wounds” seminar. I can see a BIG FAT diamond ring appearing soon. LOL

  21. suz says:

Oh, tug, you’re right, we ought not to laugh at tiger’s wife beating him. Luckily he’s not badly hurt. I’m sure she doesn’t usually beat him up.

  22. SadieBlue says:

I think that those who say his wife hit him and the windows with a golf club are correct. Those things happening in a minor wreck do not seem to make any sense. I think that if she did these things then it needs to come out and she should be investigated by Law Enforcement. If she can lose control and hit him, could she then do it to the kids? Probably not, I know that she had circumstances going on with him that caused outrage that may not have been her normal self, but, as pointed out above, domestic abuse can go both ways, and this does need to be looked at carefully by the police. Speculation on the public’s part is purely for our enjoyment though, I don’t think he owes us an explanation if his wife hit him.

  23. Mariann says:

Whatever happened- shame on us for poking fun. I personally think it’s none of our business and I feel bad for their family. These rumors and such are only going to make the family suffer more. I don’t find any humor in it at all.

  24. suz says:

I think most domestic abuse cases get dropped when the abused refuses to testify. I am sure that is what will happen here.

Poor Tiger. The victim of spousal abuse.

  25. R.L Haley says:

Oh Boz you crack me up,You know I never would have guessed Tiger Woods would (if he did)Have this kind of trouble,The whole Golden Boy of sports thing just goes to show you, millions of dollars and fame, and fortune really mask that their just people to.He’s got a great lawyer!

  26. Shawna says:

Just because Elin “may have” gone off on him with a golf club doesn’t mean she has any history of violence and/or domestic abuse and it says nothing about what kind of mother she is. Faced with his infidelity it sounds as if she briefly lost control.

  27. ChicagoJudy says:

Several years ago, my son was in Vegas with a bunch of his buddies. They used to go to the Mr. Olympia competition every year. This particular year, my son and his friends were in one of the fancy clubs in one of the hotels (the kind of club that you needed to “know someone” to get in). So, who sits down in the booth next to theirs? Yep, Tiger and his posse. My son said it was quite interesting to watch Tiger (sitting up on the back of the booth)scope out the room, point to a particular young woman, and then watch one of his boys run to bring that woman over to Tiger’s booth. My son said it went on all evening. Anything he liked/wanted — all he had to do was point at it and it was brought to him.

This story has nothing to do with what happened over the weekend, but does show you that Tiger certainly knew how to have a fun night!!

He’s actually been dating a gal named Zenaida. I believe her occupation is Nanny.

  33. Word Girl says:

    Poor l’il’ Tont. Bad day….

I think the fight started in bed. T. had taken his pain and sleeping medication. E. was trying to be cool about his denied rumors. (I know my Swedes.) He tries to touch her and Bam! It’s on! His face was within scratching range. He jumps up, throws on clothes and says ‘I’m getting out of here!” She’s throwing on clothes, too, and says, ‘not without me, you aren’t!” (Don’t report me to badnovel.com just yet.)

Tont fires up the rig and E jumps into the golf cart (key is always in the lock.) She’d already grabbed a club and threatened with it, I’m sure. He roars out, but with his wife in ‘hot’ pursuit, he can’t watch the road and her at the same time. Bam! (again)

One question. Which club gave its life for this love fest?

  34. Boz says:

I always thought because of that big swing of his Tiger was going to get hurt while driving. Question is: Was I right or wrong?

  35. gotoutofpcity says:

So whats the deal with this Rachel Uchitel girl? Reports say she is a “night club hostess” in New York. I can’t imagine that even in the nicest of clubs in New York, she makes enough money to fly all over the world and hire an expensive LA lawyer. Think maybe she is more of the “$1000 a night” kind of hostess?

I’ve long been a fan, so I wish Tiger, Elin and their cubs the best, which is where Mr. NeJame will be found looking after them.

    Word Girl, ROFLMAO……..That’s too funny.

  38. Sal says:

You guys are crackin me up with some of your posts. Oh to be a neighbor in that community….can you imagine hearing a noise in the middle of the night and looking out your window to see what’s going on and low and behold…..there is Tiger Woods getting a beat down by his wife. I’m sorry that he got knocked out (according to TMZ) BUT I still can’t help but snicker at the mental picture of his wife chasing him with that golf club. It would be bad enough if that happened to a regular guy and his wife but the fact that his is a pro golfer just makes it that much funnier. Tonight on Nancy Grace…BREAKING NEWS….Golf Pro Gets Beat Down by His Own 9 Iron….Wife Swingin Mad Over Accusations that Tiger’s No Longer a Hole in One Kinda Guy.

O no. Leave it to Sal to “go there”. You may wish to get into your protective bubble.

boz, he hit a water hazard before winding up in the trees, badoom boom.

Seriously, though, she broke out both back side windows? Did she pursue him in the golf cart, or was that a cart from the development he lived in?

We have no business elevating fellow foibled humans to role models. dude swings a mean club, but pouts and cusses like any other mortal when he misses. phil m is rumored to have an out of wedlock kid with a black mistress, but he still stuck nicely by his wife when she got sick. should we hate him? love him? or just enjoy watching him play?

    Yep, Yep and Yep

  40. Mariann says:

No Boz I don’t. If the shoe was on the other foot (yours) you wouldn’t find it funny either.

  43. Ragdoll says:

This whole story line angers me! In all honesty, I don’t understand why we’re making this our business. I’ve driven out of my drive way at 2:45 for certain reasons. No one was at risk either. I don’t think some of this is all that odd or news worthy. At best, we’re jumping to conclusions. I heard it was about domestic violence on the radio from Jimmy Carter (Nashville). I also heard it wasn’t Tiger who was abusive, it was Erin. As Jimmy concluded, we cannot rush to any judgements. AYE! I just hope Mr. Woods is ok and thank God no one else was hurt.

Unless Mr. Woods did something illegal (immoral…still none of my business), I say let him have his privacy. Being a celebrity does NOT entitle us to know their business. Don’t get the reason for this article. Sorry Blink. I have deep respect for you but this one seems more tabloid than justice related.

No need to apolly, but it is being investigated as a crime, thus the true crime justification. That said, I stand behind my message to him, my business or not.

OK Blink I love everything you say and do. That being said (Curb Your Enthusiasm allusion here) I have to disagree with dropping the “H” if you are from NJ. As a lifelong resident and my family being here since 1766, I always pronounce the “H”. Doing so is a uge thing for me :)

Lol. Depends on which exit your are, and I guess your familial origin.
You have my complete permission to pronounce the H, unless your last name is Ciffaretti.

#14 Nancy, I’m with you. You’ve got the best perspective on this sitch thus far, imo.

This is rediculous. Why in the world is it any of our business. Oh and if we found out that Rhianna was cheating on Chris, then I guess she deserved to get her a$$ beat too right? These people are human and even if all these things said are right, he’s sticking up for his wife and not pressing charges. The police have no right to push, no charges were pressed by Tiger or his wife. This is all insane. People have nothing better to do than to try to make money off of other people’s problems.
These people need to get a life.
I don’t care what Tiger Woods did, his wife has no right to physically abuse him. I don’t care what his wife did, if neither Tiger or herself said that she did anything to him then why are they putting so much into it. There are enough people getting regularly abused/murdered – wives, husbands, children…..why spend so much time on this one person who just wants it over with?

Original reports said she broke out the back window of the Escalade. The latest ones make it sound like both rear door windows were broken out. They are made of safety glass and would have shattered, leaving glass all over the ground wherever they were broken. This is true, unless the windows had added tinting which would have caused most of the glass to stick to the tint.

TW apparently was knocked out and bleeding from his mouth. If he had a few putter knots on his head they would not have shown up past his hair and ever present Nike cap.

The other woman is attractive in a “dipped in a vat of skank” kinda way. Tigers wife is attractive in a clean, wholesome, healthy way. Everything I have ever read about her shows her conducting herself with an air of class and dignity.

Tiger is not a billionaire. He is the first athlete to have earned over a billion dollars in prize money and endorsement money. There are taxes and expenses that have come out of his earnings.

Tiger’s comments have been via webpage. They are classic damage control issue. He has had the good sense to listen to his attorneys and has shut the hell up, unlike some of Mr. Nejame’s past clients who could not remain silent for any reason.

Apparently some of the glass traveled 300 yds., prompting Big John Daly to challenge the newly athletic Mrs. Woods to a long drive contest.

And last, I kind of like it that the neighbors have circled the wagons and are not selling stories and photos to The Enquirer.

“dipped in a vat of skank.”
    A classic

My husband, an avid golfer just watched Tiger on the practice tee at this year’s Masters…a dream come true to be this..close to Tiger Woods. So sad if true…we have come to expect it from many high profile figures…but Tiger..no way..but alas…seems must be somewhat true with the lawyers and rumors swirling. Surely not an advocate of domestic violence but Elin did just give him another gorgeous child…sad for all..

  49. BrowncoatWhit says:

I want to repeat what’s already been very well said here by others — irregardless of any possible personal misbehavior on Tiger’s behalf, there is NOTHING forgivable about domestic violence, and if his wife clobbered him with a golf club, she needs to be prosecuted.

I’m horrified by “You go, girl!” reactions to this alleged case of abuse. There’s no way you ladies here (or gents) would be laughing and applauding a possible case of domestic violence if it were the husband with a tire iron in his hands. If this allegation of domestic violence turns out to be true, then a blow from a blunt titanium club could have KILLED the man; concussion or a traumatic brain injury could have resulted.

Certainly, if Tiger was abusing the trust of their relationship and having an affair, Mrs. Woods has every right to be furious. But if she took her outrage out on her husband physically, my sympathy turns to disgust.

    Not cool. Never cool.

I agree, but admittedly, my legs are swung over the fence.
Let’s all make up over a nice sandwedge and stay out of the ruff.
