Orlando, FL– On the eve of the one year anniversary of the recovery of 34 month old Caylee Marie Anthonys remains; the defense team representing the woman charged with her murder is preparing for one of the most difficult court appearances to date.

Tomorrow, one year ago, Caylee was found while her grandparents and Team Casey dined on crab puffs and lounged pool side at the Ritz.

Ritzbaezcheck2-small4Among the Ritz Carlton guests, courtesy of ABC, was the Anthony Family Private Investigator, Dominic Casey.

Mr. Casey is attempting to don the “Privilege Parka” and avoid an upcoming deposition scheduled for December 16 and of course subsequent testimony at trial. The State has issued subpoenas to both George and Cindy Anthony for tomorrow’s hearing. They are looking to sit in front of the bar.

Might be advisable given the circumstances. I suggest a single malt of humility with a dignity chaser.

By his own account, George Anthony has not seen or spoken to Dominic Casey since February 10, 2009.

It is not known if perhaps Baez never took the time to explain to Mr. Casey  the definition of “privilege”.

It is not thatAnthonysCourt51909 he would get the “privilege” of schtupping his Clients wife while their baby granddaughter was missing and later found murdered in the area his Client*slash*PillowPal sent him to search a month earlier.

O yeah, I went there.

If he is stupid enough through his attorney Diana Tennis to continue the privilege party line I predict Ms. Drane Burdick will be well prepared to demonstrate her skills in verbal guillotine simply by using Dom’s own words. I am not a huge Dr. Phil fan I admit, but there is a quote from him I feel resonates for Cindy Anthony specifically:

If he will do it with ya, he will do it to ya. 100%

Cindy, when you read this, you know I come from a place of knowledge and there are some doors even you do not want opened.

Mountainous Motionous Interruptus

To Deluge is to Delude? That is the Question.

Baez_casey_lyonIt is unclear if Ms. Lyon and the Baez jesters get paid by the word in their motions, or if they own stock in the local optometrist.

What is clear, is they have an endless supply of ink for the laser jet.

Could that be because they have not put out the benjamens for the bevy of experts we were expecting from the hearing about who is funding this shindig?

Even the dubious Dr. Lee is on record saying he does not get out of bed until the next check. *snark alert*

How do you ask for a year to prepare for a trial and not list a single expert as a witness, or lob a smidge of discovery back over the net?

Is February 1st the BIG BAEZ REVEAL? ( Insert laugh track)

Yesterday, Prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick returned fire, exposing what appears to be some seriously shoddy defense tactics to open up the files of the almost 4000 Texas Equusearch Volunteers in response to the mountains of motions filed by the defense the day before Thanksgiving.

..”Appreciate the Reciprocate not the Procrastinate or you Violate..”

Got it straight?

(editors note: see how easy that is, A to the L? One line and will free you up for those lovely, no advance blush necessary speaking engagements.)

“Dialing for Disgruntled”

It is not surprising or original to learn that Andrea Lyon and Jose Baez et al have spent weeks calling through TES search rosters to find anyone that would talk to them voluntarily. Many have. Baez and team apparently thought they hit pay-dirt with Joe Jordan and Laura Buchanan.

Joe Jordan was a volunteer on the first search in Orlando for Caylee Anthony. He also broke his agreement with TES by posting Youtube videos of the search and blogging about locations and findings. It was a serious no no and when he was outed, he began his campaign to speak negatively about Tim Miller and TES.

In the defense’s motion to modify access to TES records,  Mr. Jordan claims to have kept very detailed records of his search efforts, when his team of 5–6 members were searching the alleged “exact area” where Caylee was ultimately found. For me, when someone uses the word detailed, I make the assumption that entails having more than one name of the other 5 people:

..”Among the five people with me were Danny Ibison and his dog, and a Panama City Deputy with one of his two dogs…”

Within the search form Jordan alleges he provided to TES, it would REQUIRE the names and ID’s of the individuals searching that area.

Could it be that Ibison and the others would not support Jordan’s statement because the area, exact area, where Caylee’s remains were found, was underwater on September 1st?

Speaking on the condition of anonymity exclusively to blinkoncrime.com, a source within OCSO confirms just that. Ibison maintains the site was underwater, the as- yet-unamed- publicly “deputy” will confirm there were meetings within TES to come up with a solution to use some sort of aquatic equipment to search the submerged area, but it was considered too dangerous and too small for a boat.

What motive would Mr. Jordan have to (un-surreptitiously to him) record his interview with Morty?

Joe JordanJJ records the audio for a spell and then gets around to calling Det. Edwards at OCSO to ostensibly get a high five.

That high five was nearly a low five behind his back from the state for a 3rd degree wiretapping felony.

Wait for it….. AND he is “materially” changing his story after apparently being schooled about what happens when you are prepared to lie in court, regardless of your agenda.

There is no “I” in perjury. Look out Baez, someone is out of there FUGUE state in time for tomorrow.

If I were a betting gal, I would say that Lyon will not lead with asking Ms. Drane Burdick where she picked out her suit or what she has in her nightstand drawer.

However, I do believe that an excerpt or 3 from Andea Lyon’s stand up impersonation of Lisa Lampanelli may end up on the record.

All that aside, I am humbled by tomorrow’s anniversary I thought I would never see. I will never forget the call in which both joy and anguish filled my throat.  “We got her, it’s her.”

To the FBI, FDLE, FBI CSI, OCSO CSI, SS and OCSO, 9th Circuit Medical Examiners Office, Dr. G and SH– You know who you are– From the bottom of my heart I thank you for the commitment you showed this child.

You are her sweet voice now, backed by your collective baritone.

I am hopeful for an anti-crescendo or dimiuendo, directed to the finale.

If that does not work, then we scrap. End is the Same. Justifies the Means.

  4. Kleat says:

If an investigative subpoena is used (as per Strickland’s suggestion that the state serve in any case if needed for the 16th date), then how will lawyer Conway’s well-used tactic of ‘it’s irrelevant’… ‘privilege… not relevant in any way, shape or form…’ stand up with the state deposition of Casey? When the state has the Jan 7th interview statements already, and has subsequent emails and correspondence already in hand?

Now we know the reasons for all the schtupping… ensuring privacy and secrecy between schtuppers.

One other note of interest this morning, and it was the ‘Motion to Perpetuate’ re: Roy Kronk’s ex’s testimony. They want to be sure that her testimony survives her or her ability to testify at trial. But what this does not do, is allow the state to cross examine. What happens with this ex-wife?

How does anyone know this wasn’t some role-playing, to some degree or another, this biased disgruntelled ex needs to be fully questioned by the state, doesnt’ she?

  5. Boz says:

Right on Blink lol. Based on what I know of the women on Florida’s death row and how many we’ve actually killed, I wish like He!! they’d take the death penalty off the table and get that dam@ Bigfoot out of my state. I can’t stand her and can’t stand the way she thinks. No one should ever be so CONSUMED with their belief of right and wrong.

I’m 99% sure we will NEVER put KC to death. We are wasting so much time and money.

Baez was asked by a reporter….
How difficult was it for your client to hear the details of Caylees death ? Paraphrasing: Baez said, it was very difficult, it would be difficult for any one to hear all those details no matter whose child it is … Kathy Belich (who was in his face pretty much) interrupts and says “Even if your client was there?” Baez said “She wasn’t there, your in Ferryland”

LOL I know Baez wanted to choke Kathy Belich

PS. Oh Boy Cant wait to hear more from Silver

Thanks, Blink, re: the Anthony’s leaving. They were making a point, for sure, of course it’s difficult to take but why didn’t Mr. Conway prepare them? Why, when the motion re: dp was to be argued vigorously?

What I noticed, was an angry Casey as Mr. Ashton began his description of the child’s view of what was happening to her and who she last saw in her eyes. I wonder if, instead of Casey becoming more angry and bottled up to do her ‘jail video type’ flare up with fists, that the defense has given her direction and some practice, in turning this anger into a better release, like tears, even if just for herself. That would certainly work better than the anger. But it seemed to start out as anger but that was just my first impression.

Chicago, if you go to WFTV their is a video of the Anthony’s leaving the court. Cindy is upset, too say the least. While waiting at the elvevators she is surrounds by the Milsteads and Joy Wray. You keep hearing little yelps, but it doesn’t look as if Cindy is crying.

blink please xplain why wont she make it three years??? think someone will do her in or she will do herself in
is that it??? please pray tell!!

I think someone will do her in. I am not condoning that, btw. I just know if she gets 25-life with the possibility of parole she will be in general population. That girl has been in county jail with almost zero contact with women who would give anything to be able to see their children.

She has no idea what she is in store for, of that I am certain.

  13. SuzeeB says:

#108 Kleat yes yes yes, you cold see the anger starting to mount on her face, her eyes get very black and big and then Baez leaned over. It was so evident. And then as if she was taking direction and on cue she leaned closer to Lyons and the tears started.

  14. Kleat says:

The person ‘leaving’ in blue was Mrs. Milstead. Cindy looked just awful, I mean her face, not her hair, just like a gaunt ghost as she was leaving. Not quite the healthy tanned cruise picture.

No Kleat, that rich Blue color sweater was Judy Parker. Mallory’s Mom.

  15. AmyS says:

@Kleat: It definitely appeared like her anger was rising and Baez leaned over and prob told her to remember the cameras were on her and immediately it shifted to what I believe were crocodile tears

  16. Pamela says:

#82 Mamasitta – I just wondered why you still thought Caylee’s body was in or under the playhouse in July 15/16th when they first started searching, they would have dug that yard up if they had any “hard” hits. From the OCSO debputy, that I know, who investigated this case, they believe that Caylee was in the backyard, after death, for a very short time, not even a full day, and was placed in the Suburban Drive woods around June 18th/24th. I don’t feel there is any way that Caylee was moved by anyone, but Casey.
If you have any other info, I would like to hear it.

  17. martha says:

Kleat—I thought so too. She looked mad not sad, waited for fists to come up and groans and sqinched face. I think she is the type that doesnt cry EXCEPT when she is mad. I am primarily a lurker, but I love your blog and this site! I agree about Lisa Lampenelli. I was thinking more along the lines of – John Goodman, because of his great Linda Tripp imitation, would do a great AL imitation, perhaps SNL would do one when the trial rolls around.

  23. Kleat says:

Next wave of media from this morning’s hearing will be the pressers outside the courthouse. Guess who was at the courthouse today, as George and Cindy entered, Cindy and this person made no greeting or contact, Cindy walked right past, but George was greeted by the pink-Caylee-folder-carrying woman in a black coat, as he got a big hug from her.

As the Anthony’s left the hearing, this pink-Caylee-folder carrying woman, waited for the Anthony’s by the press, fell into the entourage just before the man in the blue shirt, and she joined them in the huddle at the elevator door, then entered the elevator with the Anthony’s, Mrs. Milstead and man in blue, woman in black with glasses, Brad Conway, Ms. Tennis and Tony Pipitone, reporter, amongst others.

Kleat, that is just misreported. It is definitely Judy Parker. I did not see either Milstead today.

Will we see another JWW presser coming later today? Maybe a Tony Pipitone/JWW interview this time? (just speculating).

  28. lily says:

Did any of you guys listen to the myfoxorlando feed?! The audio feed was picked up from the mic in front of Baez as he was whispering with Casey during the hearing. You couldn’t hear it real well but I’m sure some techie will isolate the audio. It sounded to me like he was trying to distract her during Ashton’s discussion about the theory about the duct tape which was making Casey so ‘upset’.

The audio stayed on long after the hearing and apparently a couple of audio/visual guys and/or reporters were discussing the fact that someone in Atlanta (I’m assuming it was CNN people) were very upset that this audio feed came through. These guys talked about how it was Baez’s responsibility to turn his mic on and off. One guy actually said “well maybe I’ll just get to go pick my kid up early” implying he might not have a job.

You video feed stayed on for quite a long time afterwards – but the audio stayed on until the room was nearly empty. All of the networking and discussions between courtroom reporters, bloggers and spectators was heard – although not all of it clearly. You could hear Bill Scheaffer talking with a couple of different people including a discussion with Marinade Dave. All in all – it will be very interesting to see who comes out first with a cleaned up version of the whisperings between Baez and his client!

Lol. I know Lily- I can tell you who it WILL NOT be. Here. No way. I am not going to give Mr. Baez the vehicle to motion for no more cams or mikes in the courtroom. I am of the opinion Judge Strickland would entertain that notion and judging from Baez behavior today when Casey was having her meltdown, I think he would welcome the opportunity.

Did you catch the ID of the blonde woman exchanging digits with Marinade Dave?

  32. Kleat says:

Chica, remember George made that prediction sooooooo long ago? Almost his first LE interview he expressed concerns about how he didn’t want to think that he raised someone who could kill another person, and he also expressed concerns about Casey not surviving in general pop in prison, and he offered suggestions or ‘wonderings’ about her cooperation helping with the charges so that doesn’t happen. At that time, of course, she was only charged with the fraud and lying to police, but for some reason George was very worried his daughter would be killed in prison.

  33. wpgmouse says:

Good, because the black and white coming in to “triumph” is a brilliant part of your imagery, if I may say.

I don’t know if it’s worth watching to drone thru her.

What I heard was “tissues”…”endless supply at the bottom of her bag”..and “let it all go.” This was Baez talking to Casey before the hearing began. Sometimes I think this case is making me paranoid, but other times, I realize that these people are simply rotten from the inside out. All of ‘em…from her lawyers to her family to pathetic people trying to attach themselves to the group. I was wondering if there’s something on those “tissues”…why does she not simply wipe her eyes as anyone would…no…she holds it to her eye for several seconds.

The woman needs artificial stimulation to produce tears when hearing about her Deed.

I really liked ‘mom issues’ better but you’re probably right that it was tissues. I really thought that before the D. Casey depostion was addressed that someone was warning Casey that Cindy and Dominic had an affair. I must be suseptible to the “power of Blink’s suggestions”.

Well, who knows? What I do know is if there was a chance it would be outed in that preceeding, they would be crazy not to tell her. He worked for her and he worked for Baez.

Witholding that information from her would be a fat conflict. Especially if she is under the perception those witnesses will be used in her vigorous defense.
