Orlando, FL– On the eve of the one year anniversary of the recovery of 34 month old Caylee Marie Anthonys remains; the defense team representing the woman charged with her murder is preparing for one of the most difficult court appearances to date.

Tomorrow, one year ago, Caylee was found while her grandparents and Team Casey dined on crab puffs and lounged pool side at the Ritz.

Ritzbaezcheck2-small4Among the Ritz Carlton guests, courtesy of ABC, was the Anthony Family Private Investigator, Dominic Casey.

Mr. Casey is attempting to don the “Privilege Parka” and avoid an upcoming deposition scheduled for December 16 and of course subsequent testimony at trial. The State has issued subpoenas to both George and Cindy Anthony for tomorrow’s hearing. They are looking to sit in front of the bar.

Might be advisable given the circumstances. I suggest a single malt of humility with a dignity chaser.

By his own account, George Anthony has not seen or spoken to Dominic Casey since February 10, 2009.

It is not known if perhaps Baez never took the time to explain to Mr. Casey  the definition of “privilege”.

It is not thatAnthonysCourt51909 he would get the “privilege” of schtupping his Clients wife while their baby granddaughter was missing and later found murdered in the area his Client*slash*PillowPal sent him to search a month earlier.

O yeah, I went there.

If he is stupid enough through his attorney Diana Tennis to continue the privilege party line I predict Ms. Drane Burdick will be well prepared to demonstrate her skills in verbal guillotine simply by using Dom’s own words. I am not a huge Dr. Phil fan I admit, but there is a quote from him I feel resonates for Cindy Anthony specifically:

If he will do it with ya, he will do it to ya. 100%

Cindy, when you read this, you know I come from a place of knowledge and there are some doors even you do not want opened.

Mountainous Motionous Interruptus

To Deluge is to Delude? That is the Question.

Baez_casey_lyonIt is unclear if Ms. Lyon and the Baez jesters get paid by the word in their motions, or if they own stock in the local optometrist.

What is clear, is they have an endless supply of ink for the laser jet.

Could that be because they have not put out the benjamens for the bevy of experts we were expecting from the hearing about who is funding this shindig?

Even the dubious Dr. Lee is on record saying he does not get out of bed until the next check. *snark alert*

How do you ask for a year to prepare for a trial and not list a single expert as a witness, or lob a smidge of discovery back over the net?

Is February 1st the BIG BAEZ REVEAL? ( Insert laugh track)

Yesterday, Prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick returned fire, exposing what appears to be some seriously shoddy defense tactics to open up the files of the almost 4000 Texas Equusearch Volunteers in response to the mountains of motions filed by the defense the day before Thanksgiving.

..”Appreciate the Reciprocate not the Procrastinate or you Violate..”

Got it straight?

(editors note: see how easy that is, A to the L? One line and will free you up for those lovely, no advance blush necessary speaking engagements.)

“Dialing for Disgruntled”

It is not surprising or original to learn that Andrea Lyon and Jose Baez et al have spent weeks calling through TES search rosters to find anyone that would talk to them voluntarily. Many have. Baez and team apparently thought they hit pay-dirt with Joe Jordan and Laura Buchanan.

Joe Jordan was a volunteer on the first search in Orlando for Caylee Anthony. He also broke his agreement with TES by posting Youtube videos of the search and blogging about locations and findings. It was a serious no no and when he was outed, he began his campaign to speak negatively about Tim Miller and TES.

In the defense’s motion to modify access to TES records,  Mr. Jordan claims to have kept very detailed records of his search efforts, when his team of 5–6 members were searching the alleged “exact area” where Caylee was ultimately found. For me, when someone uses the word detailed, I make the assumption that entails having more than one name of the other 5 people:

..”Among the five people with me were Danny Ibison and his dog, and a Panama City Deputy with one of his two dogs…”

Within the search form Jordan alleges he provided to TES, it would REQUIRE the names and ID’s of the individuals searching that area.

Could it be that Ibison and the others would not support Jordan’s statement because the area, exact area, where Caylee’s remains were found, was underwater on September 1st?

Speaking on the condition of anonymity exclusively to blinkoncrime.com, a source within OCSO confirms just that. Ibison maintains the site was underwater, the as- yet-unamed- publicly “deputy” will confirm there were meetings within TES to come up with a solution to use some sort of aquatic equipment to search the submerged area, but it was considered too dangerous and too small for a boat.

What motive would Mr. Jordan have to (un-surreptitiously to him) record his interview with Morty?

Joe JordanJJ records the audio for a spell and then gets around to calling Det. Edwards at OCSO to ostensibly get a high five.

That high five was nearly a low five behind his back from the state for a 3rd degree wiretapping felony.

Wait for it….. AND he is “materially” changing his story after apparently being schooled about what happens when you are prepared to lie in court, regardless of your agenda.

There is no “I” in perjury. Look out Baez, someone is out of there FUGUE state in time for tomorrow.

If I were a betting gal, I would say that Lyon will not lead with asking Ms. Drane Burdick where she picked out her suit or what she has in her nightstand drawer.

However, I do believe that an excerpt or 3 from Andea Lyon’s stand up impersonation of Lisa Lampanelli may end up on the record.

All that aside, I am humbled by tomorrow’s anniversary I thought I would never see. I will never forget the call in which both joy and anguish filled my throat.  “We got her, it’s her.”

To the FBI, FDLE, FBI CSI, OCSO CSI, SS and OCSO, 9th Circuit Medical Examiners Office, Dr. G and SH– You know who you are– From the bottom of my heart I thank you for the commitment you showed this child.

You are her sweet voice now, backed by your collective baritone.

I am hopeful for an anti-crescendo or dimiuendo, directed to the finale.

If that does not work, then we scrap. End is the Same. Justifies the Means.

the death penalty should stay, girl.jpg, she fully knew the conseguences for her actions.although i dont think it will too hard (mom issues)for her to fight for her life ,she should have to.,Without the death penalty ,what is the leverage?with out the death penalty you go down a step ,lwop, for the plea bargin (which courts and taxpayers like)(which is what she shouldve and should do)becomes life with possible parole, would she kill again? she ‘s published twice her capacity to justify her means to meet her ends(her diary and jailtape(didnt she even say she would kill,as she sat in custody for murder),if she snapped at two of life’s first crisisess(motherhood and leaving the nest)(needless to say couldnt ever graduate highschool due to 1/2 a credit),with her unbelievable lack of ability for simple truths, and unbelievable ability to play huge lies out, like implicating others for the death of caylee, seeking no counseling in the aftermath, and unwilling to come to jesus,i have to say at even at 65 facing a breakup or divorce, she could snap again.and her affair with baez underscores it,for me.i do believe she & baez, from georges statement about about how weird and wrong and uncomfortable (para phrasing) he felt going to have dinner/ meeting with casey and baez(imo that’s what george was talking about).now ,on the other side she’s not a hardened career violent felon,so in the event she paroles at 55 or so,i personally am not worried.Amanda Knox, italy, no death penalty,we are a society that does have it,and everday, everyman, people tuned in to this BIG case,a BIG message needs to be sent.when women think its ok to kill children ,when a society’s kids become complacent with murder thru games or music or other,(I KILL .SHE TEACHES CAYLEE)we have to exercise a deterrant.i dont know the stats, but having caught Lockdown a few times ,surprised ,that even the career murderers; never to step free again, dont want to be put to death. i want to see and hear ( casey take the stand,if thats possible in the penalty phase)her tells us why she deserves to live ,now that she’s created this situation for herself.

    casey should be granted privacy.
“The stress of a death penalty case is enormous,” Lyon said. “And Miss Anthony needs some support that is not going to cost her in terms of her case, in terms of what is going to happen with the media. No matter if all she said is, ‘Mom, it’s good to see you. I love you.’ Believe me, it’s going to be on the front page, on the Internet, everywhere, dissected, etc… for weeks

  5. Filipa says:

..and then the sentence comes, and they forget the “presumption of innocense until trial” AND PROCEED WITH THE INNOCENCE TRIP! like in ther KNOX CASE!

  6. Chica says:

I can say that with authenticity because, to witness an interaction like this in a courtroom, live and in person, it is much more convincing than seeing it on TV. The emotions burst out from every dimension and it’s something a television set can never quite capture. Not yet, anyway – plus there’s something more eloquent about hearing the reverberation of a strong voice that a microphone and speakers cannot convey.

Homocides in jails and state prisons have declined between 1980 and 2003. In 2003 there were 4 homocides per 100,000 prisoners (in state prisons) compared to 54 per 100,000 in 1980. Suicides—which tend to occur more often with violent offenders (and assuming they are really suicides)—are 3 or 4 times higher than the homocide rate.

A couple of times the defense spoke without closing the mike. Could this be some sort of trick to show the court that things are taken out of context and blabbed over the internet. They are usually very careful of this or were they in such a tither (love that word) that they completely forgot to turn them off. I think that Ms. Lyons thought that she did such a good job, that Judge Strickland would rule on her motion then and there. I do not suspect that they knew what Mr. Ashton would use as a counter and in some ways I think they were kind of shocked.

Blink, I know you said no more bashing, but please, you had to have lol at Kathi Belchi running after Ms. Lyons asking her if she thought she was a genius. Did you also see Joy Wray following the d-team. I guess the A’s lost her in the dust. Okay, bashing is over.

when casey got mad today it was just like in her jailhouse video’s when her parents tried to push her for information but all they got was anger, and rudeness..i believe she becomes mad and rude when the truth is spoken, becouse she has to be right, and ploys for people to feel pitty for her..today was totally casey anthony it is just that we have not seen her in such awhile react to different situations, it spoke volumes when she said could you make him stop..ALWAYS!! having to be in control of the situation or subject SHE NEEDED TO HEAR THAT!! enough is enough with her she is a master minipulator and she will use it to her advantage everytime she get’s a chance…the attorney’s don’t need to tell her when and when not to minipulate!!

  17. ChicagoJudy says:

What a change in Casey’s demeanor over the last year, huh? Remember the cute girl with the make-up and the hair done? She’s gone and has been replaced by the girl with minimal make-up (a little mascara that makes it very difficult to wipe ones tears; you can only dab at your eyes and hope it doesn’t smear) who now is able to cry. No more seductive looks at her lawyer, no smiles and giggles. Maybe it’s taken the past year for her to finally understand that mom and dad are not going to be able to take care of this little problem. I think the tears we’re seeing are not for Caylee or sorrow/guilt for what Casey’s done. The tears are for Casey feeling sorry for Casey because, as we all know by now, it’s always about Casey.

JVM: Interview with JB almost exact repeat of his last appearance on her show last month. “We will lay out all that info at trial!” reaffirms JB! Oh, wow! MAKE HIM STOP! That’s how he answers every question of JVM’S including the ever popular “How does one explain Casey’s partying and not telling anyone that her daughter was missing?” The hard-hitting journo JVM, lets him get away with that old chestnut, “It will all come out at the trial” every appearance. Give Kathy Bellich her own show!

JVM’S annoyance factor is far higher than Miz Nancy could ever aspire to. I loved her program opening tonight: “Casey Anthony sobs uncontrollably!!!”

Huh? Same old, same old. Stab eyes with kleenex. Peer at tissue to see if any water is being squeezed out. Stab again. Whew! A few drops. Professor JB: “Start sob machine! Now, Casey, add heaving of your shoulders and a few snot inhales. By George! She’s got it!” Performance art.

Speaking of which…I am so sick of all the Anthonys and the TV media lights today who kept coddling the “poor grandparents” repeating how ” We cannot judge them”. Do they not know that this family has repeatedly lied and obstructed the evidence in this case? Throw out all facts, reason and logic and then we can’t judge them. Bring on the Dom Casey revelations of which Blink warns Cindy!

I actually think that entire segment was from his last appearance, no?

“The only speaking [to media] we will be doing is Spanish.” Jose Baez, December 11th, 2009

    Can we spell Miami-Dade??

BTW, the reason we heard anything from the defense table, was because ‘they’ controlled the off button when they wanted to speak, and when they wanted to speak or have things heard, they didn’t push it. JMHO, but that button was flipping on and off, but ‘off’ at critical times to let people hear Casey’s emotions.

  34. Momof3 says:

I think today was the first day in Casey’s life where she has ever been subjected to the consequences of her actions. She HAD to sit there and listen. She couldn’t leave. (unlike George, Cindy and the rest) She couldn’t hide (like she did for 31 days) She couldn’t lie. (like at universal) She couldn’t lash out(like she did when confronted by Padilla)She couldn’t turn the tables (like she did to George “stop acting like a cop”) No, today Casey realized a new meaning to the phrase -at the mercy of the court-

I thought the prosecution did a wonderful job of stating the law. Unlike Baez and Lyons, as pointed out in the proceedings, mostly argued their opinions.

  45. Joan says:

Blink – I follow all your reports and the comments although I don’t frequently comment. YOU ARE THE BEST! But I have a few agreements and questions as well:
    1) I agree with you Blink, Casey will never make in in the general population. She is used to being adored. Ain’t gonna happen – what she did was too ugly! Plus – I don’t want her to have solitary anymore – she thinks it’s a vacation.
    2) Ann in #121 LOL!! – John Goodman in a film of this as Andrea Lyons!! Gee -I hope he won’t be offended by the suggestion!
    3) Filipa in #201 – loved it: JB and AL as the Salahis of the judicial system (like the fake watch they tried to pawn!)
    4) Blink – was that Tony Pipitone of Channel 6 in the elevator with the Anthonys?? I had heard he wz buds with Baez – but I didn’t think that he was that obviously in their camp.
    5) Blink: wouldn’t there be any fingerprints on the syringe? How could Casey have used it without leaving prints? (Unless she wore gloves – but then – where are they?
    6) Prosecutor Ashton was so SUPERB today! I wanted to go through the screen and hug him!
And finally Blink – my perennial question: isn’t there a fake ID (old type of Drivers license) that Casey had – and on a link I found to ScaredMonkey that I can no longer find – that that ID was in the name of Zenaida Gonzalez. Could this be the “smoking gun” that the Prosecution will drop at trial?

Again Blink – YOU ARE MY HERO (heroine – WHATVER)!
    Thanks for all you do!

Caylee’s grandmother, Cindy Anthony also left the courtroom in tears with her husband George Anthony.
“It’s a shock for George and Cindy,” said the couple’s lawyer, Brad Conway. “It’s something I didn’t anticipate they’d have to go through.”

Ya know, they are the one asking for the dp to be dropped and they are shocked the state had to remind the court why the dp was reinstated? Did they just really think the judge would say “ok, you guys are so special”?

Casey, IMO, looked pizzed off. How dare he talk about that, doesn’t he know we are all pretending it didn’t happen? She was absolutely crying because she wasn’t getting her way. What a classic narcissist.

  47. Kleat says:

Artgal16, yeah, Blink is right, that JVM interview of JB was old, after the Kronk depo in their media whirlwind I think it was. It was a ‘cheat show’ in that respect, but with some new content for their lead in and discussion with guests about today’s events.

Chica, thanks for the link to MarinadeDave’s latest– that article wasn’t up earlier. I’m going to wait to read it later, by listening to it.

Sorry if I’ve not answered some posts directed to me, it’s a tired eyes day and a lot to keep up with here. :)

I do wonder if Casey is getting the best advice/encouragement to keep up the ‘innocent’ line, and I wonder what this case ‘picture’ would look like had a lawyer, such as Terrance Lenamon, or someone with good DP Florida experience and a similar philosophy, been allowed to direct the client and control the direction of the case, from early on.

How ethical is it for Ms. Lyon to take a case such as this, not that she has not done a great deal of work and ‘good lawyering’, but she has a ‘client’ that is her anti-dp agenda, and those backers who support her work and the programmes of the Center for Justice in Capital Cases. There are obviously lobbyists to be kept happy, maybe even some funding for cases she takes to promote the goals of the CJCC. Would they want to support a ‘lost cause’ with a guilty client in Florida? Isn’t there more good, politically, and for individual clients, in other states?

  48. Red Ranger says:

Families should always stick together. If one member of a family commits an egregious sin against another member, the heads of the family should step up and protect the weaker member, especially when the weaker member has committed no transgressions. That being said, we have not seen this happen. There was some serious pain passed out today to those who have chosen to blindly scoot around the floor instead of standing tall for an innocent Cherub.

I want to believe an invisible little Cherub was flying around the court today sticking her finger in the deserving party’s eye and kicking groins. I want to believe she was saying “Take that and you deserve it for not standing up for me during ample opportunities”. I then think back to the live little one looking at her great grandfather, asking “Are you okay Papa”. She just doesn’t have it in her to poke and kick so I have to thank Mr. Ashton. It is said that no one stands taller than when they stoop to help a child. I reckon he was NBA material today.

Justice for Caylee. Justice for Amy. Justice for the real Zenaida. I reckon that train is coming soon and fast. Saying “Make it stop” did not even slow it down.

Thanks Blink. You jacked it out of the park on this one.

You hit my bullseye friend. You have always been there for her as well. Your her great big Uncle Red on Earth. I see the coffee one, too :)

I cry because my 3 kid’s are growing up to fast(7 yr old son didn’t want to see Santa this year)and then you have these d bags out there that are o.k. with doing this over and over again you hear about it everyday, it’s gotta stop!!!!!!!!!! selling your kid’s for sex to pay off drug debt and shooting you’re kid up with cloro. and taping her mouth shut and putting her in the trunk for a babysitter while you go inside the party and have fun, OMG these are the worst of the worst. Also I think that her parent’s and Brother know and have for a long time. Shame on you all!!

    We all Love you Caylee
