OK one more direct question, and I know Observer doesn’t believe this to be so, but are you more confident now in saying that this helper, or one of a duo, is if not LE or EMT, he is at least related to LE. Like a son or a nephew?

total amateur your March 2, 2010 at 11:57 am post was spot on you wrote: I temper my thirst for knowledge with my desire for LE to do everything they can to nail these a-holes. If that means I’m at a dead end, so be it. The best we can do is keep turning over stones for LE to look under.

Blink, I would also like to say thanks for always trying to steer us in the right direction- while keeping LE’s position in your mind. Hard job, I’m sure

Eloise, I’m sorry I can’t remember where the WW scent story came from any one? I don’t know if it is relevant, I remember someone stating, that perhaps she and her friends stopped there before the concert. Or maybe the friends stopped there on the way home. I would think, since they were driving in her car, they would smell of Morgan…. but speculation’s all i’ve got.

Dew, nice to see you back. DTA- I always seem to miss your posts. I wanted to comment on your funny story about yelling your name…very endearing, thanks for the laugh.

Thanks for letting us know you were studying Kabbalah. That explains a lot. I must admit, I thought occasionally your posts were delusional. No offense! Do not be embarrassed. No sole hole intended! I think Kabbalah is beautiful, and would like to study it. do you think they would let an Irish guy in? One with ancient ties to the Orangemen?
IMO could use a few of those guys there in Va, to clean up that “jumpsuit guy”! I cannot imagine why he is still there.
I guess that is all I can say, probably.
KeeKee, have you ever seen a guy hug his dog? His Husky?
I paint wolves. I do not shoot them.
Like I said befor, I do not care in the least about being right.
I do care about the murderers being caught and…. well, you get the general idea.
KeeKee, one last thing. I have not at any time been “yanking your chain” Everything I said, I really believe, and a lot more.
This is about finding the KILLERS of Morgan, nothing else at all.

I too have always thought this was a crime of opportunity, that boiled over into rage.

I’m still vexed over Morgan’s missing possessions: a beautiful necklace, a red digital camera and, just my belief, no facts, a pair of stylish black boots.
I bought my grandaughter a pair of knee high Converse lace-up tennis shoe boots for Halloween. Could Morgan have been wearing those?
Anyway, these items would all be of interest (covetiveness) to a female.

Blink, are LE still looking for Morgan’s camera? Do you know if they thoroughly searched around the bank of AF creek and the bank on corner of Copely & Ivy, in case it was dropped? TIA.

First of all…I’m glad to see my late night rant stirred up some dust. I, like many on here, let months of frustration get to me-for that I apologize-for months I prayed for Morgan’s return, now I pray for justice.

In my late night rant I left out a few things I wanted to clarify. First, I wasn’t trying to step on anybody’s toes. I respect the tremendous amount of ideas that a lot of you have brought to the board. I agree that uncovering and examining all that we have access to is extremely important. That being said I wanted to add the following :

The you tube posting I refer to IMO is Morgan. Not substantiated, just my opinion. As is my speculation that she was ejected for drinking/drug related incident. It explains why she’s outside, why she can’t just buy a ticket and get back in, and why SS an co. remain inside. If the BIB sighting is accurate (which I think it is) then perhaps, as it has been mentioned by others on here who are much smarter than me, that explains BIB are only interested in LOG–too hardcore to stick around for Metalica. They leave, see Morgan walking away from arena also, catch up to her, flirt-joke-ask her to come with them to party. She has other plans (the text, other friends in UVA, smokes at 7-11, money at ATM–whatever). BIB head to their car. Morgan at RV lot runs into BB players. BB leave her there–I think they said she was alone. MH on the bridge heading toward (party, 7-11, ATM, etc). BIB are back but now in their car on Copley bridge–she recognizes them from a few minutes early–sticks her thumb out jokingly-gets in car-they all leave to a party spot alone (15th street apartments? Econolodge? Dorm room?). Point is they are partying with her in an isolated area so no more sightings–Morgan’s hangs out waiting for the concert to end. But now its 3 am. Concerts long over, her friends are probably gone, and now MH needs to get home or back to JMU, she leaves party place with BIB in tow. They walk with her trying to convince her to stay, they pass News lady at 3:45. Or Perhaps they are heading back to perps car when they pass News lady.

SIde note. I can hang and party till wee hours and neglect a whole lot–but at some point I do eventually realize I need to get home, get a ride, etc. And when its time to go its time to go. What if perps had different idea of partying with MH and time to go? What if its not until they are in the car at 3:45 am do they finally act on whatever transpired?

Finally, thoughts on AF. Wrapped in tarp on a remote area of AF suggests to me that more than one person is involved. Looking at the area–why would a lone stranger perp go to this extent to HIDE the body–and then take the time to wrap it an a tarp at such a remote place? No–this perp was spotted earlier with MH or fears they were spotted enough to go to extreme ends to HIDE her body. He/they did not expect her body to be found.

I have complete faith VSP will find the DB’s that committed this horrendous crime.

    That’s more like it :)
I concur 100% except how she got outside, I do not believe she was ejected.

RE: Pepper says: March 2, 2010 at 9:17 am

I’m with you. It’s a sad day when a girl or woman for that matter can’t walk down the damn street or go for a jog without fearing for her life.

  7. New Poster says:

after Blink’s comment about the cheese jumpsuit, I went to look more closely at the SO registry for the young SO living very close to AF. The “family watchdog” site has his home address near AF, and then an additional “unknown address,” which I’m assuming is his work place? Or could it also be another personal address, i.e. he moved out of his parents house and got his own place?

In any case, I find it interesting that the Pantera t-shirt was found on a street that is very close (within walking distance) to this additional address listed in the SO registry.

You could either take this as further implicating the young SO in question, but it would also make sense for someone else who committed the murder to plant a Pantera t-shirt near the work place of a known RSO living by AF in order to shift the scrutiny in that direction.

I’m sad to learn about your nephew’s untimely death – and on your son’s birthday, no less! My deepest sympathies, dear friend.

Thank you for your post to me (3/1 @ 9:57 pm) while you awaited the exploding-whale special. (I think you and my BF would get along quite well.) I do have a significant capacity for retaining details that stand out to me – a trait I’ve admired in you since your very first post here – but it’s a funny thing: my day-to-day recall and short-term memory is seriously lacking. Ah well – fortunately I’m a writer. And I would love to see the book you started (I’d be honored to collaborate with you on anything). xoxo

You also spotlighted B’s comment to Javier L. about EMH:
“I will answer you this way- if my cheese could be made into a jumpsuit, that young buck would be wearing it.~B”

I’d like to weigh in, too. First, that definitely gets my nomination for Best Comment of the Week.

Also, I posted about this on Saturday – that RSO lives spitting distance from AF, and he would pass the RH Road gated entry we’ve identified as the likely access point all the time. It would certainly be the easiest option during a time of high stress… while racing home to make his probationary curfew (speculation, natch).

Also – to Javier L., yous asked:

“Can you either confirm or deny—or give any other insight—that certain “persons of interest” (and one young buck in particular) who live nearby AF, are tracked by LE utilizing GPS technology (due to past misdeeds), and therefore are easy to eliminate—-or incriminate—-judged by their whereabouts on Oct 17/18?”

Again, I posted about this exact issue on Saturday afternoon. I can’t answer the second part of your question, but I can answer the first. Per the Virginia penal code, EMH would be required to wear a GPS tracker for at least three years, following his rape convictions in 2006. Then, upon being convicted in 2008 for failing to register, more GPS-tracking time would have been added to his supervised probation. (It’s been determined on this site – but not confirmed – that as a possible Tier 3 offender, he’d have to re-register with police every 30 days.) All things considered, It is my “guesstimation” that he would have been wearing his tracker the night MH was killed.

But! That is not always a successful deterrent, and if it was not being actively monitored at the time, or the wi-fi coverage was/is spotty around the AF area, the GPS may not be as useful for LE (who probably looked into him with fresh eyes when her body was sound so close to the Most Likely Suspect’s home) as one would hope. That said, the record of his movements from the night of Oct. 17, 2009, *could* have immediately eliminated him from the POI pool.

    Lastly – for you, sky:

    [cue intro music ]

    We’re backs, folks!
… Mizz Skyler, are you ready? Here’s your Fact:

Violent repeat sex offender (approximately MH’s exact age) lives about 90 seconds (by vehicle) from the strange dump site on AF…

    *COINCIDENCE… OR … CLUE?!*

I owe you an apolly this got posted this late, there will be like 5 posts that you answered already.

The good news is, I am feeling strongly we are close to resolution in this case :)

  14. New Poster says:

For what it’s worth, the most efficient way to get from the aforementioned SO’s additional downtown address back to the AF area would be west on Preston Ave, left on Grady Ave, left on Rugby Rd, right on University Ave which becomes Ivy Rd when you cross over Emmet St. Ivy Rd (250) goes right past the Copeley Rd Bridge where Morgan was last seen. She was walking over the bridge in the direction of Ivy Rd, and from the RV lot it would take her at most 2 minutes to reach Ivy Rd on foot.

From there to AF you would continue westbound on Ivy Rd and then either:
    (a) turn left onto 29/250 Bypass, a highway that will take you all the way to Redhill Rd, or else
    (b) continue on Ivy Rd past Farmington and Boar’s Head, eventually turning left on Dick Woods Rd, which goes under I-64, then another left onto Taylor’s Gap Rd, which intersects with both Blandemar Dr and Red Hill Rd.

    (a) would probably get you there quicker, but (b) would be less conspicuous, more back roads, maybe a better option for someone looking to commit a crime. (b) would also initially take you more in the direction of Crozet (west as opposed to south).

  15. Just Desserts says:

to Concerned Bystander– I wasn’t sure what pointed your toward Christian Breeden, among all the local performers? Then I watched the short video of him ‘combat firing’ that assault weapon. Seems a curious thing to find on the ‘net for a musician. Makes me wonder who posted it? and when? The terrain, steeply hilly and cut by a creek, could be anywhere around here in late fall to pre-spring. Seems kind of a quirky dude; painter, metal-sculptor, even played at the Burning Man festival at least once; did the FloydFest and rounded up a Floyd-based bellydance troupe for accompaniment at that Crozet video gig. I could see the appeal of him for someone like Morgan, but have no idea if she ever saw him. Anyone on BOC know him? I don’t, but may check him out at a spot I occasionally get out to. Recently has a new band (“the Dirty Horse”), after dropping the old bunch (“American Dumpster”) sometime late last year.

to SuzeeB (3/1 @9:27 AM) and total amateur’s follow-up (10:33 AM) about the Pantera shirt on 15th St. being a possible case of “finger pointing” at a local musician who lives nearby: Hmmmm??! Could be, but as a “serious” clue, or as a kind of inside joke on a guy with a “hound” reputation? At least we can assume LE has satisfied itself one way or the other about this one.

to Suz, thanks for giving me a tension breaking laugh with this comment–
(3/1 @ 8:31 PM) fish, you’re probably right that I’m wrong for not ruling in women, too. I guess I have no real reason to rule them out. Heck, I’ve only recently ruled myself out, and then only after some tough questioning. . !

. . . and then (@ 11:32 PM), on a soberer note, for what you said about Morgan packing a lot of living into a few years. You said it so well!

I just read the MH was found wrapped in a tarp, is that true? First I’d heard that, and Bass said he thought MH was a deer first.

“Chad says: March 2, 2010 at 10:29 am

    @Red Hill
Can you expand a little on this this comment Red?(snippet)

B, I’ve missed following your threads but I am not feeling very comfortable about LE and their closing in on the BG. Sad.”

Chad, no secret, hidden, underlying tips in my comment. I was mostly expressing my frustration that they hadn’t caught the BG/s yet. I truly thought that when she was found at AF, it would tremendously shrink the pool of suspects and it would be a short period of time before they had the BG/s locked away. While I think it shrunk the suspect pool, there’s still many possibilities out there. Students and locals attending parties at the old homeplace alone could be in the hundreds, not to mention all of the worker possibilities I’ve already mentioned. I hope Rader and his boys are closer than my gut tells me they are.

Someone mentioned my closeness to the community and how if it was a local guy that committed this heinous crime, that the community might be hurt by it. I think I can safely say that, while there may be some residents that feel sorry for so-and-so’s son/brother/friend whatever if it’s found they committed the crime, nobody in the community is going to be upset by LE catching this guy/s. A horrible crime was committed on an innocent young girl and the North Garden community wants to see justice as much as all of us….now back to work for me.

The tarp is my speculation and unconfirmed for reasons that I choose not to disclose.

I wish to underscore what Red Hill notes as to the community sentiment towards catching this guy(s).

I have developed a significant network of some of the most elite members of this community that are singularly focused.

“How can I help, and have you caught then yet?”, is the common theme.

    #21-pepper on 3/2/2010 9:17 am:

We had a very popular local restaurant near where I live that employed a RSO. This was a family owned restaurant, with a family atmosphere and no drinking allowed. I happened to know the owner, who had young children the same age as mine. I sent him an anonymous email, explaining my concern about him employing this RSO, especially since his own children often helped in the restaurant and sometimes had to fall asleep in their office on a sofa bed because of late nights. Anyway, I sent the owner an email, pointing out my concern, along with a link about the RSO. I made it plain & clear that since I had young children, I would never come back to his place of business while this RSO was employed. I also told him that I planned on letting everyone that I knew about this situation, so that they could make an informed decision whether they, too, would allow their young children to be in the restaurant where this RSO worked. I never did hear back from the owner, but the very next week, on the sex offender registry, this RSO was listed as unemployed, when before that time, it showed his business address at this restaurant. I honestly don’t think this guy knew the status of this RSO (although he should have), as his former job before becoming the owner of the restaurant was that of a police officer, although that had been about 15 yrs prior. The moral of my story, if you’re visiting a restaurant where a RSO works, and it makes you uncomfortable, tell the manager, tell the waitresses, tell anyone who will listen to you. It’s unlawful to harass a RSO, but it isn’t unlawful to inform the public of “public information”…

  25. Mom3.0 says:

Can anyone speak to the GPS tracking devices used on parolees in Virginia? I cannot remember if I ever replied to the query a few days ago, but I meant to: I had a terrible time with cell phones hitting dead zones in North Garden and all along 29S, and my friends still in the area continue to complain about dead zones in Alb Co.

Is the technology any better for these tracking devices, or do they rely on the exact same systems, making it convenient to be in North Garden when one wears one and wants to get away with stuff?

    jimm:
Very interesting. What if she was partying with the group or they offered her a ride somewhere? She may have felt comfortable with them at first but they had other plans…
I remember when I was a young teen and my friend and I wanted to go to the roller rink. Neither of our parents would give us a ride, it was a long walk on a busy mainstreet and starting to rain. We decided to stick out our thumbs, what’s the worst that could happen? After all, it was daylight, small town, busy street…
We were offered a ride by two middle aged men, seemed nice enough so we hopped in the back seat of their two door car. They then proceeded to drive very slowly, not on the main street but in alley ways. They kept asking us if we were sure we wanted to go roller skating, who did our make-up, offering us beer, telling us we were such pretty girls…
I got quite frightened, they did bring us to the roller rink after a long ride that took us off the main street. They parked in the back of the parking lot and when the passenger leaned forward so we could get out of the back seat, he slammed the seat back and again asked us if we were sure we wanted to get out. Boy, I haven’t thought of that in a very long time! How stupid we were yet how very, very lucky.
My father was a police officer at the time, he would have killed me! It just goes to show how when someone young and trusting really wants something, they don’t always use their best judgment.

  28. Jennifer says:

Jim m – that scenario is so very plausible, except I, like B, do not believe she was ejected from JPJ. If that were so, initially, I think it would have been fully blown news by many. I believe Morgan did not end up outside accidentally; that it was her intent to meet someone that was not a stranger to her.

Javier L. – I’m sure B can answer your question better than anyone, but it was my understanding that if a RSO was required to wear an electronic monitoring device, it states this on the registry. Hoepfuly, someone else with knowledge might be able to speak to that.

total amateur how right you are. Even though there is so much frustration due in part to no new recent information from LE, we all know the reasons for that, and Morgan will soon find the justice she so deserves.

  29. Cat says:

Jim M. – You make some great points. I am a firm believer in Occam’s razor…which can mean the “simplest” solution is probably right, but also means that the solution with the least amount of needed variables is probably right. I also do believe that she was NOT in a public place after 9:30, only with the BGs. Too many witnesses would have come forward if she was. However, do you really believe that the crime occurred so far into the evening? How do you explain her purse in the RV lot? Do you really think the suspects would have gone all the way back to JPJ to plant her purse and risk being seen? I personally don’t think so, which is the reason I discounted the papergirl sighting. I believe she was attacked in the vicinity of the RV lot and the beginning of the crime began around 9:30, her death came soon after. If Morgan was alive and believed she was in good company up until 3:30 AM, she would have definitely realized her purse and cell phone were missing and would have made an attempt to retrieve the items. If she did have her purse and cell phone up until 3:30 AM, she sounds like the kind of girl that would have been in some form of contact with someone. As far as I have heard, no contact from her was received after 9:30.

Gosh, I was just trying to visualize LE hunting down a young buck wearing a cheese jumpsuit, when it suddenly occurred to me that if our friendly neighboring SO is involved, he placed/hid her “in plain sight!”
For him to do this, exceeds ARROGANCE.

Blink mentioned something a couple of weeks ago about perp not wanting body to be found, and then implied that if it was found–a message was being sent–but sent to whom. (Loose paraphrase, sorry, have to leave for carpool.)

If EMH is our “buck,” he ARROGANTLY attempted to destroy the lives of another family! Why was he paroled in the first place? AND who allowed this to happen.

I so hope that Morgan is honored today.

Thank you to all of you for your honesty, insight and courage. I am beginning to feel empowered. I firmly believe change begins in one’s own backyard. So much confusing info re: this story . . . LE says friend drove MORGAN’S car to Arena, her parents say it wasn’t Morgan’s car but a friends. Interesting – did someone provide you with an address in Crozet? I actually live in the area and Crozet and Harrisonburg are NOT close to one another. Interesting someone would provide you with a Crozet address. More info on that?
    ++++++++++++++++++
I know that her car was not in Crozet. I’ve let that go. I just can’t let go that someone, for whatever reason, gave you a physical address. Is the address or the person who erroneously gave it to you related to this case in any way?

Sorry for so many posts today, just got all this emotion pouring out for whatever reason…guess I could be hormonal B~)

When my kids were still kids (all flown the coop now…well semi-flown anyway), we had a secret word. All 3 were sworn to secrecy – no telling friends, friends’ parents, teachers, even Nana (another story). They were drilled constantly on it and the “procedure”. If anyone were ever to say, “Come with me, your parents sent me”, they had to know the “word”. If they didn’t, then they were a stranger, period! All 3 still remember that word.

When my daughter left home her mantra from me was, “Lock your doors, fasten your seatbelt, and don’t talk to strangers!” I still say that every time she gets in her car.

And I thank God everyday that I have the 3 most wonderful kids in the world!! (ok, tearing up again, sheesh…)

jim: could she and he/they have been spotted by the only person (that I know of that stated she saw her HH) and that was Maggie V. Maybe they just think that they were witnessed and in truth, they were not. Blink, why is it so hard for me to believe that she was HH?

and jim, could you post the youtube that you believe where it shows Morgan ejected? I do not believe this. They just wouldn’t pull her out of the crowd and dump her outdoors. JPJA must have checks and balances. Could they call security, campus police, CPD, anyone? You think it has to be during LOG, right? at one time, a bouncer, stage security goes over and leans into the crowd. i’ll post my spot.

Red Hill, thank you for giving me insight on the hunters of this land, But, could I still think that he tagged along at one time? Even if during an illegal activity, such as deer spotting? They had their way but he did the disposal? Hence, my believe that he puts the “dys” in the so-called “functional” friendship. But in truth, they all are in need of some serious incarceration.

Blink: concerning jim’s post, am I to believe that a series of unfortunate events happened to her, once outside and just some BG(s) got her? Was he driving by, off work and picked her up. If they are leaving LOG, then is there arena staff witnessing this. Cameras above doors. And, a dorm room. Really?

Thanks for all the love shared right back at me.

My father-in-law was out in the woods and experienced the same sensation that someone was staring at him. It was a lone wolf. But being a war vet he wasn’t taking any chances. He hugged the thing on the way home from the taxidermy.

Into the Light – Morgan’s Song

    Darkness out my window,
    No horizon do I see
    As I search into the night;
    No day, no light,
    Only shadows surround me.

I reach out to touch you,
    But feel only the air
    Push away;
    Cold fingers mists of gray
    As I bleakly stare.

    So easy to remember
    Your smell,
    Your touch;
    I recall so well,
    I miss you so much.

    When daylight dawns again
    I shall look for you,
    And bask in
    The joy everlasting;
    A mother’s love so true.

When will I see you again?
    Only God can say,
    Can know;
    But on that day
    I’ll be honored to go.

My apologies if my last post comes up 3 or more times. Every time I hit submit my internet connection dropped off.

I wanted to address Jim M.
Screeeechhh! Hold the phone as J2K would say. Mr. Jim M, (and I mean this respectfully and playfully), you can not come on here and drop a youtube sighting like the one you suggest without elaborating or providing a link. Do you realize how sensitive a topic youtube videos are around here? Please, before you have a mob of BOCrimer’s show up on your doorstep with torches in hand, show us the link! (I hope I haven’t taken a big o’l bite of bait here)

I might even agree with you regarding her being ejected. I composed this post addressing you and Cat a couple of weeks ago but never posted it because I couldn’t find the quote I was looking for. I have since found the quote. (see below)

“We have no information to believe,” says Geller, “that she was forced to leave or asked to leave, or anything of that nature.”

***Here is that post, below. I’m referring to the possibility that she “voluntarily” left the arena after staff noticed her doing something inappropriate/acting inappropriately.

Jim M and Cat- I have thought about this as well and it is possible, but Corrine Geller did say something to the effect, of we don’t have information to believe that she was asked to leave the arena or anything of that nature. And of course, JPJ isn’t saying anything. VSP could be playing with semantics. I’d like to know exactly what RMC says to someone when you get kicked out of a venue.
Is it, “Miss we’re going to have to ask you to leave” (that is not a question, btw) or
“Miss, you can’t be (fill in the blank) in here, you’re going to have to leave.”

And if you go “willingly” or without a fight, then aren’t you “voluntarily leaving” vs. being “ejected”, “escorted” or “kicked out”? I know it’s splitting hairs, but anything is possible. I got my husband on this every time. He could not get around this, btw)
    ****End of post

Now, do they not have any information to believe she was asked to leave or whatever because they don’t have any footage of this happening and they are going on security staff/eyewitness accounts and statements? (which could be inaccurate or non-existent regarding the topic) Is everyone who has been asked if she was asked to leave sitting around looking at each other shrugging their shoulders? Maybe your youtube sighting is the missing piece here. Maybe there is someone in that video who can be asked directly.

If you are asked to leave JPJ, are you “escorted” (led) through the front doors or some side door or back door? If the security cameras weren’t working or got taped over or they just so happened to not capture Morgan (because she’s a jedi?) exiting the arena, for whatever reason at the moment she leaves, maybe they do capture a group of 4 guys in black leaving around the same time? Maybe the time stamp of your youtube video could be correlated w/JPJ’s security footage of these guys (if it exists) and they could use the footage to corroborate the bookkeeper’s sightings as the group she was last seen with which would provide a physical description that others may recognize. Just thinking out loud. And I apologize in advance regarding the jedi comment. I don’t mean to be disrespectful to Morgan or her family. I am in utter disbelief that I can pick out Dee S. in that arena (over and over) and Skylar can find her son from some random person’s iphone, but we (and VSP?) can’t physically prove Morgan was inside that arena on Oct. 17, 2009. Unless, of course, Jim M. you have found the missing piece!

Has VSP confirmed her body being wrapped in a tarp? Or is this speculation?

    Blink or KeeKee,
Any chance one of you could answer a question? Pleeeease :) Is there a *direct* connection between WT and EMH? If yes, any chance you could elaborate – is it a friendship connection or a work connection, etc?

  44. justiceformorgan says:

LE’s silence combined with no arrest(s) or POI(s) being named after all this time is beginning to make me nervous. Unless a suspect(s) is already incarcerated on a different charge, the person(s) who did this horrific thing is still out there and it seems to me the public has a right to know what is going on (jmo, not meaning to be critical of LE). I just really wish they would make a statement to the public. Even if it were a statement without a question period – anything. The only real glimmer of hope is in thinking LE is being silent for a reason…that being silent will somehow advance the investigation. It just seems so unusual.

  46. Pepper says:

IMHO – When Lt. Rader had that press conference a few weeks ago, I took it to mean that they had a suspect but could not figure out how he knew his way around AF. I thought at first that he could be referring to (for ex) the DD – DC, who, I believe is from NY. But now I think that he meant someone from a Band that was playing either at JPJ or in the area. If the BG is not familiar with Charlottesville, then he had help from someone who does know the area. That, I believe is who they were addressing. I had another thought but either dementia or my 16 yr old wanting dinner interrupted my thinking. Will post later.

Are we still sharing our hinky meter experiences. I’ve had a few. But I have to get dinner first.

I have a comment still awaiting moderation (6 hours) and no other posts after lunchtime showing up. Must be a Monday. . .except that it’s Tuesday.

    Well, I’ll try this one:

Chad (re: yours, 3/1 @ 12:31 PM), O/T, I sure hope you like baseball, given that your son’s so into it! I truly admire all the really supportive parents who pour lots of hours and milage and, eventually for some, real money into letting kids go as far in sports as their talents and training will take them. “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop,” you used to hear; for teens today it’s no less true though no one trots that saying out. Team sports don’t suit everyone, but they help more than they hurt, don’t you think? So enjoy!

Like you, I certainly don’t “get” the Roanoke police response to RT’s brush with a bullet. Nothing about it seems like normal LE procedure: hand over the bullet to someone whose windshield was shattered by it and send her on her way—what were those officers thinking? And if it turns out that the COD for Morgan was a gun shot wound, what will they (and Ramona!) be thinking then? Maybe she should be hunting up that bullet and contacting VSP, to see if they’re interested in examining it. Chances are probably minuscule, even if shell casings or slugs were recovered at Anchorage Farm, that there’d be a match. . . but a proper investigation ASSUMES little and EXAMINES much.

I post very infrequently here because I have no practical knowledge that would productively propel the resolution forward and I don’t want to waste valuable time on my philosphical musings. I do not have a background in LE or law; I do not hunt or have pertinent geographical knowledge; I do not know, understand or travel in an applicable music world; I do not have an unendingly analytical mind that can rapidly uncoil the complexities of this mess and make them seem understandable; I am not a crack researchist who can find hidden links and connections that are deeply hidden; I am not a local resident with first-hand knowledge of the area and the people; but, I am a mother and one of millions of people who have been deeply and irreversably touched by Morgan, Dan, Gil and Alex and I want justice as much as everyone else.

I read every post and contemplate every supposition and suggestion. I have spent months of sleepless nights searching for a niche that I could fill to be a productive member of this community and I have settled on the role of cheerleader. This is quite an unusual casting for I am really not the short skirt type and I am almost 6 feet tall to boot. Think bottom of the cheering pyramid for me! But, it is a role I have embraced and will continue to fulfill with zeal until justice is found.

So if I’m not around alot, know that I am in the background cheering you on and practicing my jumps for J-Day (justice day!)I can pop in now and then to lead a cheer or do a cart wheel. That could either inspire or amuse.

To avoid the latter, I’d better go practice!

Love, love your post!! You inspire!

I still read, just haven’t been posting much. Pretty sad out here in San Diego after hearing the news that Chelsea King’s body was found today. Another wonderful woman with a promising future, her candle extinguished by some loser POS far too soon. I hope she has met Morgan and is being shown the ropes….RIP Chelsea.
