Morgan Harrington Murder: Picture of Morgans Boot Released

Posted by BOC Staff | Alex Harrington,Anchorage Farm,Dan Harrington,Gil Harrington,Morgan Harrington | Thursday 1 April 2010 1:01 pm

Charlottesville, VA– Morgan Harringtons killers have not been apprehended.

Morgan was brutally slain, presumably, the evening of October 17th, 2009 after she went missing from the John Paul Jones Arena, located on the grounds of The University of Virginia. Her remains were recovered on January 26th, 2010 on the grounds of Anchorage Farm in Charlottesville, VA.

There have been countless witness accounts and reported sightings of Morgan since she vanished from JPJ, most of which, have been prefaced by stating “ or a person matching Morgan’s description”, so we are truly left to sift through what is accurate, and what is a well intentioned bystander.

One of the most conflicting item descriptions, is that of the boots she was wearing that fateful evening.

Below is a picture of the boot Morgan was wearing the evening of October 17, 2009, as confirmed by Morgan’s Mother Gil Harrington, to be “spot on”.

MorgBoot Boc

As you can see, it has no laces, and a cuff of approximately 3” that can be worn EITHER at the knee, or above, as reported by the witness who believes she saw Morgan walking away from JPJ with 4 men young men dressed in black, and again in the lot adjacent to Uhall.

Additionally confirmed to blinkoncrime.com, Morgan was wearing “footless” tights or leggings, which would require additional socks.

Morgan was known for the very distinctive socks she wore under these boots.

There is currently a $150,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction for anyone responsible for the death of Morgan Harrington.

I believe that UVA has some issues with security they are going to need to address. I also think UVA PD is in need of serious training. I say this because I have spoken with some inside this department, and I am aware of some issues surrounding Morgan’s case .

I offer this suggestion- Weed your own gardens people, or they will be tended to for you.

I apologize if that seems hostile, but I am pretty cranky about this case today.

No apologies necessary! You do great work, and I for one admire and respect your efforts tremendously. The foundation of this case started with JPJ/UVA and sometimes it takes an earthquake to show how stable your foundation really is. Morgan Rocks is not just a saying, it is a metaphor for the power and strength this case has taken and you are one of many hardworking people who are trying to find truth and justice for this young woman and her family. I hope you know that your blinkers support and love you for what you do. You are fighting the good fight and running the good race. God Bless you and your team for never giving up.

    Thank you.

Gotcha – I’m just grasping at straws at this point. There was a Dr. and professor with the UVA medical center by that name and I wondered if there was a connection. I don’t know why but it just seems like there is so much being said in that statement and in RedRock’s post. I spent several hours laying awake last night thinking about that statement and trying to make sense of everything. Just trying to find any little thing that might add to finding out what happened to this poor girl. I’m awaiting your next piece with a cautious anxiety. For whatever reason I have a feeling that it’s not going to be a joyous or exciting new development. Hope I’m way off.

    Hi Blink.

Looking forward (that’s an understatement!) to what’s to come today in Morgan’s case.

Interestingly, if you’re like me and fascinated by the heavens, the newly discovered asteroid – It’s called 2010GA6 will speed by the earth, in an orbit that’s between the Earth and the Sun, at about 7:06 om EDT. That orbit is kind of unusual!

Being of an astrological bent I built a chart for that event, in Charlottesville, VA. Lo and behold, another asteroid, named Morgan, sits directly on the Midheaven (the very top) of the chart at 7:06 pm. What are the odds? I have no idea but find it interesting when these exact personal name conjunctions occur. I believe it to be a good omen.

Asteroids are literally rocks. So, it seems that the heavens themselves are arranging their own Morgan Rocks astral configuration tonight.

Good luck today to Blink and all Blinksters! Blink… you are wonderful. No one could be more dedicated to finding justice for this darling girl. Thank you for your hard work.

  15. Mom3.0 says:

    Frank Speaker,
Hi. Thanks for your response. You made some very good points.

I agree with you, the boots are very important, especially since there was a discrepancy in what style Morgan was wearing. I also agree that they will play a huge part in any trial. When Morgan’s killers go to trial, I am sure the defense will try to show Morgan’s Ferrari boots in a not so nice light.- I am not so naive to think that Morgan’s attire, and most assuredly her choice in foot wear will not come into play- By both sides- After all, as you said Morgan may not have been wobbly from drug or drink but from her high- heeled boots.

I understand that you are not trying to make a value judgment, and certainly not based solely on what footwear morgan was wearing. But Frank, when you speak in generalities it only perpetuates the belief system that what a woman wears is cause for her to find herself raped and murdered. I now that wasn’t your intention when you wrote:

-”Not being a woman i can’t imagine the effect they would have or who would become interested” Rape is not a crime of passion it is not sexual. It is a crime of rage and power and control.

IMO the bad guy did not target Morgan because of her boots or what she was wearing. He targeted her because she was alone, and in need. It was not my idealism that urged me to comment on your earlier post- You were not speaking about Morgan’s boots or her clothing, in relation to the court case- You were talking about how others, rightly or wrongly judge people by there choice of attire.

I do agree with you, that Morgan’s beauty, accentuated by her style, probably caught the eye of many people that night- But it is my belief that the BG would have chose Morgan, under the same circumstances (alone & in need) even if she had been wearing a burlap sack and flipflops. I also agree with your point that “It is a basic fact that what you wear will often dictate how people interact with you .” If someone is dressed sloppily or poorly – others will view them as lazy and unkept. But,I disagree with the idea- that if a woman is wearing black leather high heeled boots and a mini skirt, her attire dictates that she must be asking for trouble.

I hope I explained my position better. Frank, I understand yours, also- Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I really respect the fact that if you were a woman you would want some Ferrari boots too- Heck,I wouldn’t mind some of my own- Peace

  35. total amateur says:

Yes, let us not forget Blink’s staff that I’m sure work tirelessly for resolution in this case, as well as many others like it. Many thanks to all of you working so diligently behind the scenes.

It seemed fairly obvious since Blink’s comments yesterday that these “big developments” don’t necessarily mean the kind of good news people want to hear. I await this news with some serious trepidation. I hope at least, whatever these developments are, that the picture of what’s been taking place becomes a bit clearer… or at least maybe some things can be eliminated from the fray. Although sometimes, the truth hurts. I guess we’ll see.

    Blink and Friends,

I just want to say Blink that I appreciate so much, what you do for Morgan and all the other victims that you have taken under your wing. Sometimes, well, actually alot of time, I ask myself how you do it all. I haven’t posted for awhile, but am here reading several times a day. To be honest, I’ve been frustrated because it seems to be taking so long and nothing new coming out. I’m so glad you’re not like me. Patience is a virtue, dear Blink, that you seem to have plenty of. I try and for the most part I’ve been patient, but it’s really hard sometimes. Thank you for never giving up. And I know you won’t until justice is served. I’m like Skyler and some others and get really pi$@ed off when someone says negative things about you. I have this fiery protectiveness toward you and all the posters here that have worked so hard, day in and day out for nearly six months now. I know all of you will see it through and so will I.

I’m anxiously awaiting the news that you have to share with us and I, too, like Alexandra am kind of fearful of what it will be. Still, there is much anticipation and I look forward to whatever it is. Whoever said the Harrington’s are so lucky to have you is right on.

Thanks to all who have been posting. Both old and new. It is good to see the number of new posters and they are a great addition. Frank Speaker, I was hoping you would post again and I just knew you had something good to say and you do. Those are some great looking boots. The Ferrari of boots. I like that!

Observer, if you’re by chance reading, I sure hope you have a great time and look forward to when you get back. Fish, I hope you enjoyed your trip and hope to see you here soon. Julie, thanks for the beautiful pics of the Morgan Rocks and the bridge. They are lovely. Thanks Diana for your comment about the asteroids and the one named Morgan. Even the Heavens are paying tribute. It makes me feel good to think about. Good to see you again Bob-dog and Ms. Twinkletoes, I love your new name. Mom3, I agree that a violent act such as rape and murder has nothing to do with what a person looks like or sexual desires, it is about anger, control and power. A cowardly act, because they always pick someone who is in a vulnerable or weakened position. They are afraid of someone who is stronger.

Gil is such a wonder. Totally amazing lady. After all they’ve gone through, yet she thinks of others and giving of herself to them. Dan, if you’re reading, much love to your family. What wonderful people you are!

    ———
Agreed. BUT, composite sketches can look like a lot of people at times. However, there are similarities. The RT.29 stalker would be a bit older now, like this Blue Ridge shooter is. I’m wondering if the guy got a haircut sometime after this shooting- because the initial description said longish gray hair. The Rt. 29 sketch shows a guy with a mullet type haircut, a little longer and more party in the back. Definitely can see some similarities though.

  41. Minnie Penney says:

Dang…..it really does look like him. At the very beginning the VSP did that whole bit on their website reminding everyone he had never been caught. OK..I’m going to ground now..

  42. Saramom says:

    Blink and All:

No matter what kind of news you have, good or bad, we are here for the Harrington Family. As long as it takes. When you are drained, we will pray for patience and guidance. I know that all of the posters here are willing to wait with you until arrests are made and prosecutions can begin. Tension may be high and morale may, momentarily, sink–but we will rally and do right by Miss Morgan and her Family. Bringing justice to this family in honor of their daughter is worth the wait.

    *****************
After rereading posts again, It suddenly struck me that I think what Miss M was doing outside the arena was just “killing time,” just waiting for her friends to finish enjoying the concert. I do not think she had any intention of getting another ride home, regardless of what has been said by the friends. Herein may lie the discrepancy/lie and the resultant silence by her “friends.” I think she was simply wandering here and there and waiting for the concert to be over. This would also explain why the friends waited around after the concert. I think Miss M. was doing what any of us would have done on a cold and rainy night with time on her hands, visiting with people, walking around, etc.

I guess another possible scenario would be that she did call someone to come and pick her up or join her, perhaps, because the friends refused to leave the concert. In either case, she is waiting and waiting, wandering around and talking to people. Maybe even watching for a familiar car to come and provide shelter and SAFETY. She should have never been allowed to stay outside alone. In this scenario, Morgan would not have had to seek the help of another, if only…

  43. Twinkletoes says:

The two pictures kind of look alike. It is pretty unusual to have two people with matching hair-dos THAT BAD both end up being killers. The jaw is different but the composite is just a sketch. I do hope there is follow up with the witnesses of the R29 Stalker to see if there is any connection with the nut-job they just caught. Any news on the condition of the gentleman DJ who was shot? Hope he is recovering well.

  44. Teri says:

Have you decided against releasing something today?

  45. bluewillow says:

A little O.T. – I know I’m kind of a broken record talking about Attachment Disorder, but ever since I had the foster son with it, I am convinced it is the underlying problem in many random, brutal crimes. This paragraph in the Hook’s article about Ralph Jackson http://www.readthehook.com/blog/index.php/2010/04/08/family-man-parkway-shooting-suspects-family-boss-express-shock/ just jumped out at me:

“The second of six boys, Jackson was born just 10 months and 15 days after big brother Lonnie, who suffered from health issues as an infant and required intensive care. Two babies so close in age was too much for his late mother, Lonnie says, so the infant Leon Jackson was sent to live with his grandparents.”

Sometimes a break like this in the infant-mother attachment process can do strange things to the human mind. I guess I am always looking at “cause” because I have this fervent hope that if only we could understand better, we could do more to prevent the creation of monsters among us in the future.

Sorry, I couldn’t resist sharing that! Back on topic now!
