Morgan Harrington Murder: Eric Howell, Neighbor To Anchorage Farm, Wanted On VA State Police Site

North Garden, VA– A registered Sex Offender, Eric Micheal Howell, whose residence is adjacent to Anchorage Farm, the location in Charlottesville where 20 year old Morgan Harrington’s remains were located, is a wanted fugitive according to the Virginia State Police website.
Although he registered on June 10, as assigned, there is a warrant out for his arrest. It is unknown if Howell is involved in the circumstances of the disappearance and homicide of Morgan Harrington, or if he is wanted in connection to any recent grand jury activity. Update: Warrant is from Albemarle County Police Department for an unknown misdemeanor charge. An attempt to serve the warrant was made and Police were unable to locate Howell.
The charge from ACPD according to VSP spokesperson, Corrine Geller, is not related to the Harrington murder, and he is, for the time being, in compliace with the registry as of June 10th.
There is no pending charges on the Albemarle County Clerk site at the time of this post.

My apoligies, i dont mean to imply this guy IS a serial killer, just that if he is responsible for the murder of Ms Harrington he would have progressed from rape to murder and i wouldnt rule out him doing it again, if given the chance. Van Der Sloot did.

A warrant is a writ- meaning, a license to retain/ book you, on some charge.
It is odd that if not served, that it is not on the record.

My first impression, when reading your post, was that this was about two different jurisdictions, state police being in charge of the MH investigation, and locals giving him h*** – trying to find anything that might possibly be used against him.

I ask about his parents because its just if E.M.Howell is the #1 Perp then did he get help from #2 Perp Dad or StepDad?
Where are they?
I know that he may be the obvious choice but he had to have help.

Why in the world would a court allow a rapist to be on the street? Someone needs to find out by looking at court records how this happened.
If it is a sympathetic judge, the local community needs to make him/her aware that their job is in jepordy and that the community is watching.
Bad hombres often work in the light construction and repair trades. This is often the only type of employment they can get.
The question regarding the security guard from JPJA being seen at AF for an event makes me believe that security was not off-duty LE, but contract security. This may explain why Morgan was refused re-entry to the arena and the protection it afforded. If this is true, then UVA could be in a heap of trouble.

I don’t know why but for some reason I assumed there was foreign DNA in Morgan’s case. I guess I was hoping too much. It (foreign DNA) is the reason I believe this case will be solved in the long run.

I think it summarizes some the facts in general, although I am not sure if the “I’m going to the bathroom” portion is entirely accurate or entirely confirmed. Also I hadn’t heard about the “live feed” vs. “recording” thing before.

This sounds like LE lost their survellience and panicked. Otherwise, why would there not be an arrest and pending charges?

I am in the “Wait for it” mode right now. Waiting for the breaking news to be announced that he has been arrested in connection with Morgan.

I want you to know that Morgan LOVED YOU more than anything. I remember Morgan coming up this summer and her raving about you after working at Carilion. She was so proud of you and impressed by how vital you were to the company. Morgan got to add this expereince to her understanding and respect for you that allowed her to appreciate you even more. Morgan lived everyday of her life knowing that her poppa loved her and would do anything for her which is more than many people can say.
She is in a better place now beyond pain and her love and spirit will continue to give you strength and help you through the difficulties left in her wake. Even though she is gone you will always be a father of TWO children who you always did your best to understand and support. Know that I am loving you now for the both of us and when you need the same support and understanding you have always given I am here.

I have a few questions this morning maybe someone can answer?
1.) Does Courteney Stuart, The Hook reporter know the name of “Kickee” or did she just talk to someone over the phone and he gave the account of his interaction with Morgan that night? Would she say if asked? She doesn’t have to give a name, just that she knows it.

2.) Does anyone know the indenties of the UVA students that rented the smaller house on Anchorage Farm property?
I do, one for 20 years, the other few here and there I have personally checked out. Bass did not rent to anyone questionable. That said, I have no idea who JB may or may not have let stay there.
3.) Does anyone know if Eric Micheal Howell ever worked in the buildings around where Morgan’s shirt was found? Specifically, Blaine Eichner’s or Branden Shore’s building?
In terms of an office, he works in proximity now. They have a maintnance contract, but cannot say who their vendors are.

Same here Eloise. The notation that there’s a need for a palm print has been there since we’ve been checking the rso site for violent offenders way back in January. Somewhere in blink archives people have commented about the lack of the palm print dragging on and on.

None that I see B. None listed on the va courts site complaint. Simply lists the complainant, Bruce Marshall, who I am assuming is a law officer.
Looked at the circuit court in case it’s there but it’s not.
Frankly, I’m not sure where to look for the true bill other than on a complaint online.

But B it may be a way of getting him actively into the system, working towards getting a true bill? I too wonder what the memorial that he destroyed/vandalized.
From what I can see on cursory reading, VA does a true bill when at least 4 members of a GJ vote for such when considering a felony charge, otherwise “not a true bill” is written on the indictment. I don’t find anything about a true bill being issued for class 1 misdemeanor.
I have a question about the collection of DNA, in Virginia, when the person’s felonies are juvenile charges. Is it done in those cases?

I ask about “Kickee” because he is shrouded in such secrecy. The “Renters” at AF because the more there were, the more friends of friends and so on, were able to become familiar on that property and last about EMH’s potential client base and who his employer at the time, served. I got to thinking because we have a contract and the same old, same old plumber and HVAC guys show up. They are totally familiar with our tanks and location, location, location.

I’m Central Va. resident, mom of two girls and avid reader here and everywhere paying close attention to this case and others similar. Came on to read tonight as always and don’t see that this has been mentioned.

Yes. According to the Google Map, it is approximately within one- three minutes from the residence of EMH. Also, approximately one minute from EMH’s residence to Anchorage Farm.
Blink, when and where was that latest photo taken of EMH? Do you know if it was after May 15th? If he was in an altercation, then, that might, and I emphasize the word ‘might’, account for the ‘swollen’ appearance of his facial features.
I’m curious about the photo…. from where did it come and who took it… Who are his friends/acquaintances…

In answer to whether EH’s palm print was needed more than 2 weeks ago, it was. I have kept up with his sex pred page since MH body found. Has always needed the palm print. He has been registering every month for some reason, not just once a year.
Just looked again and EH’s palm print has been taken. So I guess he has been in custody just last few days.
