Kyron Horman Missing and Endangered Sources: Terri Horman Arrest Is Imminent

Portland, OR– Late this evening, blinkoncrime.com has learned from a source close to Terri Horman that she expects to be arrested at anytime on possible charges related to endangering the welfare of a child.
It is not known if those charges are related to the disappearance of her 7 year old step-son Kyron Horman, or her daughter, Kiara Horman, 18 months.
Following the filing of the and restraining order by Kaine Horman, Terri’s estranged husband and Kyron and Kiara’s Father, the restraining order was subsequently sealed by the court on Monday.
However, under Oregon law, for primary custody to be awarded without mutual agreement in this phase, an emergency ex-parte order must be filed. That requires a fairly heavy burden in the immediate threat area.

This is all adding up to a very sad conclusion for me, folks.
First, we’ve got The Family Statement (minus Terri) released Monday:
“We have been fully briefed by law enforcement on the on-going criminal investigation.
We are in complete support of that investigation. We have asked the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office to facilitate releasing this statement for us due to their access to the media/flash news.
We understand that we have free access to the media but are limiting statements to the media to keep the integrity of the investigation intact.
Any actions taken by the investigation, or by us, are based on the best interests of Kyron and Kiara and comply with the law. Beyond this, we have no comment on the matter.”
Got to say… I’ve had a baaaaad feeling ever since the term “criminal investigation” was used following the initial groundswell of search efforts. To me, that says, while short a body, it has been determined a crime was committed and, as such, resources were shifted from recovery/rescue to collecting evidence for beyond-a-reasonable-doubt identification of the suspected offender and his/her eventual prosecution/conviction for the crime.
In other (read: fewer) words, the emphasis is on criminal responsibility now. That likely means there is reason to believe Kyron is no longer expected to be found alive, and it’s time to enforce the law against the person(s) responsible for his death – even if, in Terri’s case, she only suspected of being guilty of endangering his welfare. (Though, as opposed to many astute thinkers here, I believe she – and she alone – is directly behind his death.)
As far as the seemingly dragged-out nature of the case, there is, of course, something to be said for the old trope: A watched pot never boils.
But, more to the reality of the situation, detectives assigned to this investigation have to abide by the consitutionally guaranteed rights of the accused throughout its course – that’s why we have not seen an arrest yet, imo. I think (as B has noted repeatedly) they are building a case here that can be prosecuted based on someone’s *intent* to do harm. (And the specific question in this instance is: Who had the means, will and way to intentionally harm little Kyron?)
I also agree with B and other posters on this thread that the procedurals in the case – and its seeming veil of secrecy – totally reflect the Susan Smith situation: i.e., *dual* investigations, with one out in the open and the other hush-hush until the “shocking” arrest was made.
To wit, there was the “public” investigation in the wake of a desperate, sobbing mother’s police report and pleading press conference – here, LE searched for Smith’s allegedly “carjacked” young boys and the alleged kidnapper; the other was “secret,” wherein Smith herself was the focus. While these separate probes were being conducted, LE couldn’t be truly certain which one would be successful, but ultimately they were able to get a confession out of Smith by confronting her with the evidence uncovered during their under-the-radar investigation.
I’s with B – I think we’re about to see that happen here.
This was further underscored on June 26 by Kaine getting Kiara, a powerhouse family attorney, and the F outta Dodge. The fact that he was able to successfully obtain emergency legal custody (without Terri present at the hearing) through Oregon’s FAPA law shows he was able to show the judge that Terri’s ability to access him and Kiara put his child in immediate physical danger.

5 years ago I took care of Kyron at a daycare (he was ages 2-3).
I saw his step-mom and talked with her at each drop off. She was very kind, very motherly.
For the past few weeks I kept thinking…they look really familiar, then I realized I knew her during her body building time. She was dedicated to that new hobby and seemed to enjoy it.
Her older son was very well behaved, and was loved by Kyron-I don’t recall feeling any concern at all. He helped read to Kyron on the rough drop off days. Not one thing in my mind raises a red flag about her behavior then to what is going on now.
But, that is what’s scary- it’s usually someone you just would never have suspected. It’s heart breaking to think about.
As for the dad’s job, my husband works at Intel and it’s a job where you might have manditory meetings all morning but can work from home as well. Depends on exactly what he did. Most engineers are flexible and Intel wants to enable you to work from home if you cannot come into the office for whatever reason. His being home at ‘odd’ times to everyone else could have just been a thing that even our family is used to.
No speculation there. It’s interesting reading everyone’s comments. I’m more of ‘innocent until proven guilty’ not visa versa, but this case is so strange that that’s hard to apply- even having once known this family.

Oooookay. When paired with the gist pieces of the Family Statement (strategically released the day before the divorce “bombshell” got dropped):

This can only add up to one conclusion, the way I see it. Kaine, Desiree and Tony were advised by the Sheriff’s Office last week on Terri’s impending arrest. (And Kaine was likely further advised: Lawyer up. Leave. File. Wait.)

An FYI – The life insurance on Terri/Mom for the duration of the child support provision (until child is 18) means that child support would be provided for in the event that she would pass. The things that are put in a boilerplate Divorce Petition like this are the “enforceable” items, & medical coverage, life insurance for the person providing child support is enforceable & boilerplate.
Kaine didn’t do anything particularly unusual in the petition, aside from “taking” Kiara from her Mother in what’s known as “tender years” and using the Ex Parte TRO to support it; preventing any contact whatsoever between Mother & child, & then forcing SM to pay child support….however, a hearing within 30 days will give the SM opportunity to counter his allegations & the Court’s ruling, & she can file a counter-TRO.
Luckily, she had family at the house who were witnesses to whatever Kaine did to “bait” SM — and, he wasn’t very successful so far in getting her arrested, not for Kyron, not for stealing Kiara without advance notice — wonder how well he’s covered HIS tracks, hmmmmmmmmmmm?

The most interesting aspects in both of Kaine and Terri’s chart is that they both have Pisces in the Mercury (how they think). Kaine’s is in the 11th house of friends, hopes, wishes, which will find him flitting about with acquaintances, and attracted to talkative people. Terri’s is in the 9th house, universal thinking: higher education, law, spirituality, travel, which will have her yearning for something more and meaningful.
Pure conjecture: With Pisces infatuated with fantasy–did Kaine introduce a flitting lifestyle, and Terri wanted something more meaningful?

I have been following this case from the beginning as Kyron’s school is 13 miles, or a 22 minute drive from my school. There are a lot, well everything about this case bothers me 100%. Maybe I am way off base here, but I keep going back to certain things:
Electric project, white truck, Sauvie Island boat home, searches around this guy’s home, a father who does not have custodial rights (why is that? there is a reason for that–angry abusive tendencies perhaps?, an ex wife who seems to be off the grid. His current wife up and left to Arizona, leaving her friends, family it appears, her new home, etc…). So this particular man has lost, in his mind perhaps, everything. I keep going back to what you said before, someone with nothing to lose. Just the above things alone raise red flags for me added with the electric project, appearance of his kid on the news against LE and FBI requests. This man would appear completely in place at his kids school, Kyron knows him, etc…..TH involvement with this guy’s current wife would surely send a person with violent sociopathic tendencies over the top. He’s gonna blame someone. Why would current wife flee the state? Why is grams putting her grandson on the news?

I stand corrected- she SEEMS to be sick. She lied from the get-go with a missing child. That definately isn’t normal.
There seems to be many possibilities on how & why this went down. Blink, can the son James be prevented to speaking with LE by his Dad or a lawyer, or b/c of his age? I would think he could add alot of insight into the dynamics of the household. I realize he has been gone for sometime, but he is the most reliable source to the private aspects of the home. Just curious why that hasn’t ocurred as you mentioned.

Interesting chart analysis on both Terri & Kaine.. Terri to me always has that sort of daydreaming look on her face as if her body is there but her mind is off somewhere else..

oneshot, I don’t see where you’re going with this. They have already polygraphed Kaine. Apparently he was truthful and had nothing ot hid because LE is not interested in him. And they have most certainly verified his every move on June 4th already. If they suspected him of ANYTHING there is no way anyone would support letting him take the baby away. I think Kaine is just acting weird because he has no effing idea how else to act. He’s been broadsided. He’s a brainy engineer guy and the way they think is on another planet anyway, in a good way. Add to that the fact that he’s an Aquarian (if you believe that stuff) and they are also said to be highly intelligent and REALLY on another planet in their thinking, again in a good way. He’s been pulled out of his normal life of THINKING about brainy stuff, to a horrible situation where his son is missing and his wife is suspected of being responsible somehow, and now he is dealing with an 18-month old baby as well. I mean, I don’t know how the guy can even FUNCTION day-to-day right now.
I’m wondering – if/when they arrest SM, will there be another arrest as well that we don’t see coming? Another person who could also be responsible for Kyron’s disappearance? I think we’re about to get broadsided as well.
Also does anyone know if Law Enforcement are continuing to search Sauvie Island? I haven’t seen a thing lately and you would think if they really suspect Kyron is there somewhere they would keep searching…

On one of the early morning shows, GMA I’m sure it was, there was an interview of an ex-FBI investigator (Garrett?) who said that when a parent kills a child, and this woman raised Kyron from a baby, that most of the time, there is planning ahead. He says that it’s rarely an act of rage.
I think we want to explain things away in a softer, or some other way to ourselves to explain a parent taking their child’s life.
There was only apparently, a few seconds to explain a mother leaving Kyron in the hallway, waving goodbye to him, not kissing him goodbye or giving a hug as the last thing, not leaving him enter the classroom with her at the doorway (which would leave a witness likely, and more than one last person to see him). If the parent intended to leave the school with the child, plan that she dropped him off, taking a photo at a before=class event, then the story of leaving him on his own to finish going into his classroom before he sees other people and before other students or a teacher see him, fits the cover story, but also fits planning ahead for some reason, and gives her a day with hours before he’s not to arrive on the bus and be revealed ‘missing’.
It’s not the child’s fault for causing rage in this parent– he’s happy with success in the school project and his parent should be pleased with him, hugging him goodbye going INTO his classroom especially to tell him he did well and she’s pleased.

Of all the days that I chose to come home early and work from home, I found my daughter laying on her bedroom floor with self-inflicted wounds…. Thankfully, I came home in time.
Sometimes you follow the voice in your head, without knowing why. This one doesn’t raise my hinky-meter.
Here are some thoughts running through my head:
1) Was child pornography involved
2) Still wondering if they were little Kyron’s glasses and were they found at what they think is a crime scene
3) LE is definitely working hard to isolate SM
4) Was perv uncle ever cleared of involvement? Does perv uncle have any type of relationship with SM?
I am bothered by LE stating they were looking at Kristian Horman. Kristian stated that his grandfather sexually molested Kristian, which is more likely true than not as 2/3 of convicted pedophiles were sexually abused themselves. This is the thing that makes me go hhmmnn. This case has made me think of Melissa Huckaby and the Lawless clan from the start. Many similarities especially Huckaby’s relative being arrested on the same charges as Huckaby. As only 6% of pedophiles are women, statistics would suggest this crime if sexual would be driven by a man, not a woman, but that is only statistics. There are women pedophiles…..and there are women who could snap if they found their man is a pedophile……..Sometimes it’s the most likely scenario, sometimes the least, sometimes it is completely beyond comprehension. Dunno, but got an odd feeling on this one.

You are such a wonderful boy and deserve to be in your mom’s arms and playing with your friends. The picture of you with your awesome tree frog project – that picture keeps me up at night. You are so full of joy. When I think only an hour from that moment something bad happened, and your innocent, sweet trusting self had to deal with something awful, it makes me so sad. I hope so much you are being kept safe. But if not, I hope whatever happened, happened quick, and that you never knew a moment of fear or pain. I hope you are still wearing that wonderful, joyous smile.

GerberDaisey, has it ever been established that Kaine DIDN’T often work from home? And if he didn’t, maybe he came home that day for a reason – a reason we don’t know about. Maybe he was enticed home. Maybe Terri called him and asked him to come home early. Maybe she already knew all that had happened and needed him there for support (unbeknownst to him). So she thought of a lame excuse (let’s all go get ice cream today) or a legitimate reason (I have a terrible headache today and I can’t deal with the baby). If she had to go home and compose herself after whatever had happened, she would have started doing routine things to compose and reassure herself and make it look like all was normal – calling the school to see when the projects could be picked up, posting Kyron’s photos on Facebook – but maybe the stress of it all made her call Kaine and ask him to come home so he would be there with her at the school bus when it was discovered that Kyron was missing. There are just a lot of details we don’t know. IMO Kaine walked right into all this and was completely knocked senseless, never knowing what was about to happen.

As I’m reading through the comments I’m noticing some people are shifting their focus to KH. That doesn’t sit well with me. I just don’t see any motive that works. He is a father doing what he can for his family and however he expresses his thoughts/emotions is his own way. I wouldn’t know how to “act” in front of a camera to make everyone happy, nor should he even care to. Remember, there are no rules on showing your darkest, saddest side. That just ins’t fair.
On the TH borderline personality (BP) comments: my sister is borderline personality and as well aware as I am of someone dealing with this horrible sickness, it is very hard to diagnose from far away. But to play around with this idea: narcissim is the biggest trait and I could see where that could play into this event, if she created it herself. Also, BP’s NEED to be wanted and loved, I’m sure Kyron needed her and wanted her. But, on the other hand, they do not take rejection well at all (No basis for reality usually). I can see (and have experienced) revenge involved after being even mildly rejected. (Also, if she is BP she probably would have been in front of the cameras everyday and every hour for the attention, *just sayin..) Not going to make a decision/judgement on that issue.
Back to subject, she better start speaking out soon. If she knows anything, she better tell LE now. If she doesn’t take responsibilty for her actions, intentional or not, she is going to have more than hell to pay.
Plus, what IS going on with the family dynamics? What a rollercoaster ride (and not the fun ones, the scary ones) for everyone involved. Too many secrets.

I have a quick question. Some of the other forums have discussed hearing something over the scanner that has to do with this particular case. I was wondering, is it legal to listen to a police scanner (through an application on iPhone/traditional scanner)? Furthermore, is it then okay to post about it on a forum – especially considering how quickly this information can wind up on the internet? (It could pretty much appear online simultaneously with news of police action I would imagine). Seems to me this has the potential to hinder an investigation? What are your thoughts? Thank you!

This is just such a heartache for so many. I continually wake up and see Kyron and that toothy, happy grin of his. It is so hard to fathom ANYONE could harm him. The current child porn bust of Paul Ernest Pavlock in Portland happened through an ancillary investigation. Apparently there are hundreds of users sharing hundreds of pictures and videos of children. It does make me wonder if Terri was into child porn, whether viewing or producing.
My stomach turns at the notion.
Pavlock has been investigated since 2008. The indictment came down last week.

Also when you really study the Press Conference video and look at Kaine, which I just did again for about the tenth time, IMO he has this look like he doesn’t know what the hell has happened, he’s grief-stricken, and he’s already suspicious of Terri. And Terri looks WAY weird in the whole thing, like she’s faking. I’m just sayin’.
Terri definitely planned this ahead of time and no one else is involved. I believe she did it to protect her son. Kyron knew something and she had to keep him quiet before he told anyone. Most likely connected to the reason that her son moved in with his father.

After Kyron vanished, the reasons why James left his home and friends in Portland to move to Southern Oregon have been the subject of intense speculation. Terri Moulton Horman declined to comment when WW visited her home June 23.
James was a student at Lincoln High School in Portland, where he was on the swim team and played trumpet in the school band. Tarver says Terri Moulton Horman sent the boy to Roseburg in March this year because his grades were slipping and he was acting out at home.
“He and Kaine on occasion butted heads, because James is hard-headed,” Tarver says.
Trouble hit home again when Kyron disappeared. The day after Kyron vanished, Tarver says, James went to the Hormans’ house for a previously planned weeklong visit.
Tarver says on June 8, four days after Kyron disappeared, James called him from the Hormans’ house and mentioned Terri Moulton Horman had taken a polygraph test. It’s been reported that she has since taken a second polygraph. What hasn’t been publicly confirmed until now is that authorities were already focusing on her so soon after Kyron vanished.
Tarver says when James mentioned the polygraph to him over the phone, he heard Terri Moulton Horman begin yelling in the background to be quiet and not reveal anything more. Given the intense media scrutiny, the family agreed James should return to Roseburg, Tarver says.
“It was a zoo, so we got him out of there,” Tarver says. “It’s just been devastating for the whole family. Obviously, the longer it drags on, the less chance there is for a happy ending.”

novice, i agree. the frame that was captured from the press conference and used as the photo for this piece, is a few seconds in time, but it really does looks and feels awkward…like TH is glancing around seeing if people are believing her act of grief, or whatever she is attempting to pull off…or looking around for approval, i don’t know. but it’s awkward and doesn’t look natural at all.

It occurs to me that by virtue of the fact that she and Kaine both went to meet Kyron getting off the schoolbus, Terri has a witness to her attempt to pick up Kyron, as well as her surprise at not seeing him. It seems really odd to me that they both went to meet him, and I can’t help wondering if Terri came up with some sort of reason for them to go together in order to add to her cover.

Here is a pictures of Terri in bodybuilding competition where she took 4th. You would think it would exude confidence, but I don’t pick up that vibe. She doesn’t look as happy as the other three, or as happy as she looks in the picture Blink posted of her and Kaine.

I will not promote something I do not personally endorse.
I do not believe anyone but LE sponsored searches, of HLS rated teams, with LE participation should be involved in this search for Kyron. I am not saying that about all searches. I feel strongly about it in this case.

Novice; Terri IS faking at the press conferance.
Terri is all over Desiree, who is is pulling into herself in a whole body cringe.
Terri is doing what might look loving, but is actually imposing herself upon the already pained Desiree. It’s not loving, it’s willfull boundry crashing; a control/manupilation maneuver.
My reaction to this press conferance video was so negative as per Terri that I’ve, here to fore, kept my feelings about her to myself.
Now there’s her denial on Monday about Kaine moving out;
“Everything’s good,” she said, giving a thumbs up. “We heard that rumor. It’s just a rumor that needs to be squelched. Everything’s fine.”
It’s CINDYesque.

So James arrived for a weeklong visit the DAY AFTER Kyron went missing? He was scheduled to spend a week but went home after Terri had taken a poly.

Tarver says on June 8, four days after Kyron disappeared, James called him from the Hormans’ house and mentioned Terri Moulton Horman had taken a polygraph test. It’s been reported that she has since taken a second polygraph. What hasn’t been publicly confirmed until now is that authorities were already focusing on her so soon after Kyron vanished.
Tarver says when James mentioned the polygraph to him over the phone, he heard Terri Moulton Horman begin yelling in the background to be quiet and not reveal anything more. Given the intense media scrutiny, the family agreed James should return to Roseburg, Tarver says.
“It was a zoo, so we got him out of there,” Tarver says. “It’s just been devastating for the whole family. Obviously, the longer it drags on, the less chance there is for a happy ending.”

Kaine:
1. a Two timer bio parent alienating his own young tender Babes from the Bio Moms
2. Has anyone seen Kaine shed tears or a tear? If so, I haven’t.
3. Who really was the new shiny red mustang sportscar for? Bein it seems Terri was drivin the truck.
4. Awfully odd Kaine, the money maker for the family, obvious controller of household monies bought the mustang himself as a “surprise” gift for Terri. Pretty big inappropriately priced and sized vehicle for a hands full Mom of 3 with a household of only one income. Strange 2 me, unless of course his income raked in over two hundred grand a year.
5. Beginning to see Terri as an in-secure wanting to “PLEASE”. The looks I believe now towards Desiree and Kaine in the originial family pressor I believe shows insecuity more than contrite and desire to deceive.
6. Kaine sure had his ducks in a row. The focus being put on an immediate Divorce actions on Kaines behalf sends up red flags to me. Its out of season and inappropriate so close to Kyrons disappearance. Restraining order, going in front of a judge to establish property rights, safety issues, sure and appropriate. But who wants to focus be distracted with divorce proceedings during the “Hunt” for your missing child.
7. Desiree isnt fooled by Kaine one iota. She lived with the man, and for a very pregnant woman to leave her husband during a major sickness is highly telling of something being terribly wrong in that relationship.
To me Desiree looks like she could care less for Kaine. Shes just going through the public motions for the sake of her missing child.

I’m not tryin to come down on Kaine, especially right now. But thats my point. He’s the one doing some darn inappropriate stuff right now. Did Kyron have life insurance, who was the benefactor?
Aaaah the power of Suggestive persuasion others have over weaker minded people. I can buy Kaine having had two bad adult wife relationships and it being totally the wives faults and not Kaines. But the teenage step sons alienation and departure from the home, nope. Theres a common denominator still lurking in the room. The elephant who is always around, coming out on top.
I know many of you feel the pic of Kaine and Terri isn’t “Nothing” but from my stand point of view: It shows total disrespect for Women to do such in public knowing a pic would be taken and passed around forever.
