Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Brad Conway Quits George and Cindy Anthony
Orlando, FL– Brad Conway, counsel to George and Cindy Anthony, has resigned.
Has Jose Baez, the defense counsel for alleged child murderer Casey Anthony had his first good idea by providing more inaccurate information for a motion on behalf of his client? Seems to me rendering the object of your defense strategy, lawyer-less, works in her favor.
He is the 3rd attorney to withdraw from representation of the Anthony’s behind Paul Kelley and Mark Nejame, respectively.
The resignation comes following a week of terse publicly released emails between Cindy Anthony, Mark Nejame, Brad Conway and Jose Baez.
Who’s to Blame?
Not the Anthony’s, says Conway. In a letter appearing on Wesh:
With regret I am forced to resign as George and Cindy Anthonys attorney. The defense motion filed on August 9, 2010 contains allegations that are not in fact true. As an officer of the court I cannot stand idly by knowing allegations involving me have been misstated. I am now a witness to an innacurate legal pleading filed in our court system. As such, I cannot continue in good conscience as a legal representative. George and Cindy Anthony have done nothing improper, it is the failure of the defense to verify the facts alleged in their motion that forces my withdrawal. I will continue to support the Anthonys, will continue to attend hearings and the eventual trial and most importantly I will continue to search for the full truth regarding the killing of Caylee Marie Anthony.

Are they trying to discredit TL before he testifies or minimize how much stock people put into what he may say?

Yes, I think they are looking to see if he sold his story, for phone numbers they can track down and “kronk” people, etc.
On occasion, they may also try this to see if it works, so that they can file motions for current records on additional witnesses.
They will not get it without a substantial show of cause.

The reason I ask is it seems as if TL has been relatively left alone- (except for the phone records) by Casey’s defense- when I would have thought that he would be the first person they tried to kronk or at least name as a helper after the fact.
By the way Blink did you copyright that word- “He is only in jail because the defense kronked the poor guy”- I can definitely see it added to webster’s any minute now.

Chica- I am not sure what is going on with the defense- are they sly like foxes or just dumb like roxes- (sorry Grandma couldn’t resist)
Personally- I do not think they are as clueless as they try to seem- I think Baez is getting help
I hope one day- maybe when this is all over, Blink will write an article where she details her thoughts about this case and what was happening- She always seems to be 100 steps ahead of everyone else- and I am sure she has alot left that is unsaid/unwritten.

By rights both George and mainly Cindy, should be in a heap of trouble but I think those not in the know would take the line that as grandparents, they had suffered enough. Personnally I believe they most surely have suffered every caring persons worst nightmare with the loss of little Caylee and the discovery that their own daughter had caused that irretrievable loss. But I visualise a judge and jury deciding that under the circumstances they acted as any other parent might. WE know they have behaved in the most reprehensible fashion possible, not caring whom they pointed the finger at, have lied, cheated and behaved abominably (again, especially Cindy) but I still can’t see them being brought to book. Can you Blink?
Unless it rises to the extent that it might cause a hiccup in the successful prosecution of Casey Anthony, no.
I believe Linda Drane Burdick requesting George’s testimony says it all. They will have their crack at them on the stand.

I mean that the reason no action has been taken is because they had the sense to not allow him in the bar, and since they reversed that decision 8 years later, they are not so inclined to want to admit they were right in the first place.

Chelsea- I think Blink is right and LDB will hold them to task. I would not want to change places with The Anthony’s for the world- and certainly not while they are on the stand or if they are in the courtroom during trial-being subjected to the horrible truth- with no where to run.

Chica-Hi, at the end of court today, Baez and Mason said they were meeting with the magistrate. I assume it was for the TES documents.

Blink, this isn’t on this story, but to the defense’s interest in Kronk. We’ve seen two witnesses added to the defense list as of yesterday, Gale St. John, and Roy Kronk’s lawyer, David Evans, Esq.
St. John and her psychic network, has now had some conference call posted on YouTube yesterday, August 30, 2010.
St. John claims that they saw a man driving a utility truck past them when they were at the Suburban site doing their search with the car/heat sick dogs.
In this YouTube conference call (or whatever communication they used– maybe it was psychic-WiFi) they claim that the defense PI, Jeremy Lyons, was calling constantly, saying it was important, being rude, etc.
So, they’ve published this conference between themselves to share the info and case updates, and they include the recording of Mr. Lyon’s voicemail.
Of course Lyon is not interest in the psychic abilities or readings from that day, I suspect the real purpose of his call to Gale St. John, is to establish that the driver of that utility truck, fit Roy Kronk’s description, and to use this somehow, to discredit Roy Kronk, perhaps he denied being in the area on that particular day. St. John (if I have the speaker correct) did not know what Mr. Kronk looked like, but recognized his photo in the media at a later date. We know Kronk’s image became well published once the body was found and recovered, but was his photo published post-August calls?
Could David Evans be asked as a witness, to do what, that might help discredit his own client?
The psychics thought all this might be about ‘them’ as suspects, but of course they are not important witnesses to the recovery of little Caylee’s body, Kronk is the target.
So, the psychics have put out into the public jury pool, the ‘fact’ that they (might have) seen Roy Kronk on one of the three trips they made to the roadside on Suburban that same day. And they can gain a lot of publicity for this, but for them, it is better that the body WAS in those woods as they claim to have used their talents to recognize.
(just as Baez put out in the courtroom for media coverage, the notion of a witness to Casey speaking with Caylee on July 15th, 2008)
Know how high regard you hold Ms. Gale St.John, so is she willingly being led by the defense into making this video public of her ‘fact’ about the finder of little Caylee for purposes of self-promotion? Or did she really see a utility truck with a male worker, and by power of some suggestion or other, link Roy Kronk’s face to that of the driver of that truck some months later?
If you can picture a frothing, maniacal, monsterous and rabid animal of choice, literally writhing with such force and intensity that every bionic restraint holding said animal at bay from releasing painful and immediate peril is at it’s very tencil end-
That would be me, wanting to answer your question and address this issue.
But alas, no can do.
I will say that there are some people in this case that should be careful what they wish for, they may end up with exactly that.

Not lost on me was the pre-amble discussion of MONEY. Psychics work better with moula, as this seems to top their network concerns, no less with this group.
Mom3.0, I surely wasn’t searching ‘psychics’ or their networks when I stumbled across that one! Yikes! I was looking for the Monday hearing video and this one got caught in the search net.
Seems that the psychics and their networks have tentacles in many child murder cases and it was a ‘psychic dowser’ who found a hardly hidden suitcase with a body of a tiny little girl raped and strangled in Canada a few years ago. Have to wonder if this perp, who later arranged for three guys to take him to his dump site to ‘beat’ a confession out of him, got the blame shifted to police for this as part of the scam was to admit they were informants of the police, the DNA samples of the three hairs found in the little girl’s underwear were inconclusive with the testing available in Canada labs at the time, so sent off to Britain for testing. Came back a match to the accused. But jury didn’t like that Canadian system maybe not as reliable, didn’t trust the police for the ‘confession beating’ scenario, and let the guy off, aquitted. He was a sexual predator who lived a couple houses from the little girl.
Casey Anthony might also be trying to discredit the American DNA testing labs by going to The Netherlands for her double check, that way can attack the US labs in general. But will Perry allow them to go to the Netherlands or make them stay in the states? Or will someone come up with the bucks to have the testing done outside the US by a non-US certified lab?
Some same themes running through the two cases, both obvious killers, one got off, the other is trying to get off, both used psychics to ‘find’ (reveal) the body location (hardly covered in a leaf litter forested area near the victim’s homes), both used three jail house informants (accused of being snitches for authorities), both have DNA testing in overseas labs (or hope to) to contrast against the US certified independent labs. Worked for the one perp in Canada, he’s been free for the past decade since killing the child and there wasn’t even DP involved for that.

Speaking of Joy Wray, Momof3, there’s a strange anonymous entry on this weeks defense witness list additions. A TES searcher, a woman, unknown name. Is the defense trying to pull the wool over Judge Perry’s eyes by putting this entry in without name knowing full well it represents (could it be….) Joy Wray, who the defense including Mort, Ms. Lyon and Baez all took to the woods then off to the mall where they (possibly) got photos developed from JW’s camera because as we know, they took her card out of the camera with JW’s permission.
