Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Brad Conway Quits George and Cindy Anthony
Orlando, FL– Brad Conway, counsel to George and Cindy Anthony, has resigned.
Has Jose Baez, the defense counsel for alleged child murderer Casey Anthony had his first good idea by providing more inaccurate information for a motion on behalf of his client? Seems to me rendering the object of your defense strategy, lawyer-less, works in her favor.
He is the 3rd attorney to withdraw from representation of the Anthony’s behind Paul Kelley and Mark Nejame, respectively.
The resignation comes following a week of terse publicly released emails between Cindy Anthony, Mark Nejame, Brad Conway and Jose Baez.
Who’s to Blame?
Not the Anthony’s, says Conway. In a letter appearing on Wesh:
With regret I am forced to resign as George and Cindy Anthonys attorney. The defense motion filed on August 9, 2010 contains allegations that are not in fact true. As an officer of the court I cannot stand idly by knowing allegations involving me have been misstated. I am now a witness to an innacurate legal pleading filed in our court system. As such, I cannot continue in good conscience as a legal representative. George and Cindy Anthony have done nothing improper, it is the failure of the defense to verify the facts alleged in their motion that forces my withdrawal. I will continue to support the Anthonys, will continue to attend hearings and the eventual trial and most importantly I will continue to search for the full truth regarding the killing of Caylee Marie Anthony.

I think I’ve figured out what KC is doing with all those hair ties. The following is from an email posted on acandyrose.com. From a woman who befreinded CA in Aug of ’08:
“Sunday Aug 24th Cindy gave Dakota (the womans 12-yr-old daughter),an envelope, in it was a letter from Casey and a bracelet Casey made for Dakota. We were told by Cindy Anthony not to tell anyone that Casey gave her this & emails her as she’s not suppose to email anyone.”

Does anyone remember what led the searchers to the Suburban Drive location in the first place? Have followed this case from the beginning, but don’t remember.

Blink, are you saying statistics show that many victims are found near their home? Also, didn’t Casey tell her parents that she felt Caylee was “close to home”? Don’t remember much about the fired cop.
I haven’t ready the page about Dakota and the bracelet, but who would ever go public with this, true or not, to involve a young girl in this case. Something is not right with this, how could Casey smuggle contraband out of the jail to anyone, including her mother? And why would anyone involve an innocent daughter like Dakota, and if they would do this, they could be the type to make up the whole thing too because they have interest in gaining their own media attention.
I really wish Geraldo would stop inserting himself into the Casey Anthony case. He took time during his 40-year career retrospective, which was on Fox News Channel last night, to give his opinion on whether or not Casey Anthony deserves the DP. He also was sure to let all his viewers know that he thinks Casey Anthony is nothing more than a misunderstood, sick and crazy person. He also mentioned his believe that the state wanting the DP is politically motivated. Whatever that means…
As quoted by the TV Guy Hal Broedeker-Rivera said the ultimate punishment “is not appropriate for a selfish, sick, crazy mom who kills her kid, like Florida’s Casey Anthony. Trying to execute her is a political act, not justice.”
Gee, Geraldo, thanks for your expertize on the matter. We can all rest assured that although you think she is guilty, you believe the death penalty is unwarranted, due to her selfish, crazy tendency to be rid of little Caylee (as apposed to what? An unselfish well deserved tendency?)
Casey will be happy to know that she is as famous as the Beatles now, because as soon as Geraldo was finished, talking about her plight, he went right into his retrospective on the Beatles.

Is that an actual statment written by Casey? That does not appear to match the one she wrote on July 15, 2008.
What I find unusual is where KC says(if this is her acutal statement)”Zenaida never made an attempt to explain why caylee is no longer in Orlando, or if she is ever going to bring her home.”
I thought KC always thought Caylee was in Orlando – Hine “I still feel like she’s close to home”. Why would KC say Caylee was no longer in Orlando? I mean she claims she never spoke to the “ZANNY” so what made her write that?

I agree with you – Casey never made mention of her previous claim stating ZENIADA never made any attempt to explain why Caylee wasn’t in Orlando- or if she would ever be returning. I do not know why she initially said that other than she was thinking- she would make the police search other areas not in Orlando and not in her back yard, or trunk and not definitely not on Suburban Drive.
I think she was telling her family in phone calls and letters and Jail visits, that Caylee was close and that they needed to wrack their brains, trying to remember specific PLACES not people, that she had mentioned “over the last weeks” because she enjoyed tormenting them. I sincerely hope it wasn’t because she was trying to lead them to Caylee’s body.
Another thing I found strange in her WS is that, Casey uses Zanny’s full name ZF-G and Zenaida over and over- This also goes back to her 911 call-which I felt was off too, where she states Zanny’s full name and she is sure to say it in her best ‘spanish’ accent ZeniaTHa, as if that gave the name more credence.
It was lies then and it is still lies now. In Casey’s Universal interview she tells the detectives, “Not everything I told you was a lie”- I do believe there were moments when she was truthful. FI, she didn’t lie when she wrote“I’m afraid of what Caylee is going through. After 31 days, I know that the only thing that matters is getting my daughter back ”- as I wrote why in my September 5, 2010 at 12:22 am comment and I think she wasn’t lying when she said she did not know where Caylee was- I believe in her twisted mind- not knowing for certain where a person goes when they die- would mean she could truthfully state “I do not know where my daughter is.” JMO

Kleat, if you get around to reading the link to the story about Casey emailing the child, Dakota; you’ll recognize it. It refers to events back in Aug, 2008. As I remember it evolved into one of the tempests in a teapot involving Cindy and another combative woman, Lois Peter (Dakota’s mom/grandmom?). If I recall, the relationship ended up in a series of badmouthing emails between Cindy & Loiis.

I would think that if they went to trial earlier, the defense may have been better off- I am sure the State has learned a great deal- and uncovered a few things that they didn’t know a year and a half ago. JMO
The State wouldn’t jeopardize their case by hiding anything. At least I wouldn’t think so.

The more I read, the more I am starting to believe that Casey’s defense team is channeling Johnny Cochran or maybe Mason is friends with F.Lee Bailey, otherwise they somehow got a hold of “The Dream Team’s’ playbook. IMO

This is what sincerely burns my ass. Why is it, these quasi-professionals have to behave like back alley scrappers?
The reality is OCSO is prepared for this sort of thing, 100%. They mostly do not take it personally as we sometimes do, on their behalf. I have said from the beginning that anyone that listens to the interview at Universal, followed up with Yuri’s dogged pursuit of false locations, false Zanny’s, false phone numbers and false timeline.
If Yuri was convinced Casey was the only suspect, why was she not taken into custody immediately on 7/15? She was taken into custody when she was confronted with the lies, which btw, were confirmed by her boyfriend, parents and brother, and the evidence pointed to her involvement in a criminal matter involving her daughter.
She was not charged with murder until October 14, following a grand jury indictment so these gavones can stick their rush to judgement poppycock.
What are they going to do? Come up with an outfit for the mama doll and say “If it does not fit you must acquit?”
HER OWN PARENTS SAID THE CAR SMELLED LIKE IT HAD A DEAD BODY IN THE DAMN CAR …HELLO?

I think Baza has lost the files for Casey because we have seen the cell phone pings.He needs to search the internet for the docs. I wish Judge Perry would put a gag order in place so these people could not get out there and say all these things. It is very unfair that the defense can say whatever they want witout backing up anything.

Those fools don’t have anything new or new evidence that shows that that thing is not guilty. They may not have seen something that has been out for a long while because they’ve been busy spending the $200k+ ABC gave them and on the other fool’s boat and on promoting their next career on t.v. shows and in between creating more BS stories and try to call it raising reasonable doubt…..reasonable being the key word. I mean what else is the defense team going to say “Ah man, we just depo’d a key detective and we’re screwed.” Besides now there is less than a year left until trial and Caylee’s grandmother did indicate in a letter that they need to kick into high gear their fabrication of “reasonable doubt” to change the public/potential juror’s mind. I am a standard normal reasonable person and I have yet to see REASONABLE doubt or even just simple plain ole’ doubt. Thirty (31) days, takes tons of photos of everything yet in 1.5 to 4 years (depending what day and story) not one picture of Zanny the Nanny aka Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez nor of the “other Jeff Hopkins, father of Zach (I believe) presumed to be engaged to with the Tiffany ring”. PUHLEEZE!

10/14 is coming around again soon – that’ll make 2 solid years of momster being locked up behind bars where she should be. Wondering if she’s growing her hair like Rapunzel (sp?) – and she’s going to toss her long flowing locks out the window for Baez to climb up & rescue her – BLECH – almost lost my lunch again at the thought.
ANYWAY – 10/14 is a special date for me – it’s my birthday, and the BEST present I ever got was the news they threw casey in jail on that day!! Now I have something to REALLY celebrate every 10/14. Let’s just hope & pray they keep that monster right where she is – FOREVER!

On March 10th 2009, Casey signed a letter she had not sold her story.Curious later on 7/6/09 at 10:43,10:44,Andrea Lyons visited also a Easter Kim from Rights Coordinator at Harper Collins Publishers NY and a Benjamin Davis Director of Internet Services VCorp Relations wonder what all that was about. They all left together from what I get.
