On what is Kyron Horman’s 8th Birthday, the Skyline School, where Kyron was scheduled to begin the third grade, is buzzing with the start of the years activities without him.

In response to the disappearance and presumed abduction of the bespectacled herpetologist; Skyline has implemented a myriad of mandatory safety features as well as a state of the art security camera system. While complete with facial recognition capability, one face it will not be recognizing today, is that of Kyron Horman.
Although missing since the morning of June 4, 2010, there have been no updates from the many State and Federal agencies participating in the criminal investigation of his disappearance since August 12, 2010.
Adding to the mounting concern about the status of Kyron’s fate are the words of his own parents, Kaine Horman and Desiree Young.
“The police will not stop until they find Kyron and the harder they have to search–the harder this will get for you,” wrote Young. “You will go to jail and whoever has been helping you will have to talk police or they will go to jail.”
It is clear from Kaine and Desiree’s comments that they believe Terri Horman, Kyron’s step mom, is at least partially responsible for Kyron vanishing. While they stop short of naming any possible accomplices, Rod Underhill, the chief deputy district attorney of Multnomah County, Captain Jason Gates, Detective Bob O’Donnell of the Multnomah County Sheriff Office have sought the publics help to flush them out. Multnomah County Chief Deputy District Attorney Rod Underhill said a witness, or witnesses, have reported seeing someone else by the Hormans’ extended-cab pickup while it was parked in front of the school between 8:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. on June 4, the day Kyron disappeared. In what was characterized as a slip-up, methinks that that Kyron’s Mom told us that someone was actually Kyron.
While Terri Horman is holed up at her parents newly refinanced home in Roseburg and under the mortgage-sized retainer protection of Stephen Houze; she is awaiting the September 21st contempt hearing for allegedly violating an order that she not disclose the “sealed” reasoning for, or contents of, the current restraining order in effect against her.

Rodolfo “Rudy” Estrada Sanchez
When reached at one of the numbers records show is billed in his brothers name, Jaime Estrada Sanchez, who uses the name Jaime Estrada on his carpet cleaning business website declined to comment to blinkoncrime.com and the number has since been disconnected.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a close family friend who has since been interviewed by the FBI, has confirmed that Terri Horman is pointing her finger directly at Sanchez. She has also stated that she and Sanchez had an altercation after she attempted to end their relationship in May which ended in a 911 call and a visit from Clackamas County Sheriff Office in the presence of Sanchez’s wife and children. While it did not result in any charges, Horman told the source that the landscaper was furious with her because he is not in the US legally. While blinkoncrime.com has not been able to verify the date of the alleged 911 call, we have been able to verify that Terri called her Mother immediately following the incident and told her that Kaine had found out about the landscaper she hired to do what she referred to as “her yardwork” and when she informed him that she could no longer use him because Kaine was making her fire him, he lunged at her with Kiara in her arms. Kaine Horman denies the couple ever hired the landscaper as well as any previous information as to his estranged wife’s possible dealings with Sanchez.
It should be noted that Mr. Sanchez has not been charged with any crime in this matter and local references to his business are highly complimentary. In fact, Jean Ann Van Krevelen a friend and “mentor” of Dede Spicher has used RS Landscape Maintenance on a few occasions, leaving positive reviews on the ServiceMaster listing which deleted his business from the site on 6/21/10. Heather Walters, owner of Rosemont Farm,which is not West Wind Farm, where Dede Spicher was working the morning of June 4th and out of reach by phone from approximately 90 minutes, has never met Terri Horman or heard of their family prior to Kyron’s disappearance. When I asked her if she knew Rudy Sanchez or if she ever hired his firm to work at WWF, she replied “not that I recall, no, but we did have a blackberry clean up a few years ago so it is possible.”

Although records indicate that he was placed under post probation supervision by ICE on February 19, 2010, according to Mr. Sanchez-Sanchez Federal criminal docket after being “found in the US and apprehended” in August 2009” following a previous deportation in 2003, he was “administratively arrested” on February 23, 2010. A Federal Grand Jury’s subsequent indictment was issued on March 4 and he was immediately incarcerated.
Mr. Sanchez-Sanchez rap sheet includes convictions for rape, failure to register as a sex offender and a host of probation and parole violations prior to his deportation.
In what can only be categorized as a bizarre coincidence, Oregon BOP VINE network shows that on June 26, 2010, they very day of the “sting” involving Rudy Sanchez, Anselmo was transferred and released to “community supervision”. There is no record of either his transfer or his booking by MCSO July 8th on his docket. What is reflected on the record for June 21st, is the US Marshall Service requested a rescheduling of his plea hearing on July 1st - July 12th directly with the presiding judge outside of his Federal appointed defense attorney. Yep. Exparte. Mr. Sanchez attorney Allison Clark used the 7/12/10 court date to file a motion to quit the case. They have subsequently worked through their differences and were scheduled to appear yesterday, but a 4th continuance in the case was granted to reschedule for October 7, 2010. In that motion, Ms. Clark asserts that Mr. Sanchez has been in custody the entire time but that his records are difficult to retrieve so more time to prepare for trial is necessary. I’ll say.

Up until a few weeks ago, she was also very much the object of accusation by Desiree Young and Kaine Horman, as well as the investigators assigned to Kyron’s case. So much so, they released a flyer featuring the ginger ladies and the infamous white truck. LE has subsequently backed off of Spicher and publicly stated they do not believe it was her in the white truck in the lot of the Skyline School. Dede’s father is a semi-retired Klamath County Sheriff deputy. If it can be confirmed Spicher knew Kyron was missing on June 4th we have a very big problem.

Michael Cook
The source of both information for the contempt filing and hundreds of sexts exchanged between he and Terri Horman following Kaine Horman’s filing for divorce and leaving the marital residence as advised by MCSO, Michael Cook was a high school classmate of Kaine Horman.
Mr. Cook is also one smarmy dude if his former spouse Shannon has anything to say about it.
Oddly, blinkoncrime.com has learned from an inside source that Cook was not called before the grand jury to testify. In the instant action for contempt, Kaine Horman’s attorney Laura Rackner specifically references the “sexting” and the text regarding Houze’s fee as information provided by law enforcement.
So, was he acting as an agent for le or is he himself under investigation?
Jason Wishert
William Jason Wishert is undoubtedly wishing he had not interjected himself in this case. Apparently new to the blogosphere via a request from Maxine Bernstein of the Oregonian, Mr. Wishert took to what he saw as his *nuveau*cause*celeb* status with moxy.
That was until he announced his appearance on the scaredmonkeys.net forum to answer questions about the case and cry the blues when he accused the Oregonian of using his rough notes to skewer Dede Spicher. According to Wishert the “not a lot of kissing but plenty of telling” memo was not supposed to be published. About 3 minutes into his introduction to his “sleuthing public” Wishert was asked why he spelled his name incorrectly and if he was indeed the son of convicted child porn possessor William Kent Wishart. In a really bad move, Mr. Wishert denied the allegation and retreated with his tail somewhere on his person.
Kent Wishart, former CEO of Graphic Sciences, is in Federal Custody for the next 4 years for possession of child porn and engaging in a file sharing subscription for same. Jason’s brother Grant is an employee of GS. All three Wishert’s hold numerous active and inactive business licenses throughout Oregon and Washington. Graphic Sciences has a Mexican affiliate office.
Both Jason and his brother James Grant have had numerous legal entanglements (editor’s note: say it just like Chief Margie with the flat “a”) and our attempts to substantiate Jason’s claims about court appointed child advocacy certifications have yet to be confirmed.
However, with his Uncle John Kerr, Jason Wishert is heavily involved in the Friends of Pimpollo Charity which sponsors various children issues and an orphanage in Mexico. FOP is a verified charity with a 50% tax deduction rate according to IRS Publication 78 in good standing, but they are years behind in their annual reporting.

Today, Kyron Horman’s eigth birthday, may not bring us any closer to where our frog prince is, but we do wish to extend our thoughts and prayers in celebration of his special day to his parents, friends and family. Blink and others have stated a long time ago that they believed that the reason TH and legal team were fighting for abatement/not fighting hard for divorce/custody/visitation was that it would require TH to be placed under oath to testify, at which time she may incriminate herself. Concede the RS is an alias and involved in an ongoing investigation. Sorry for any doubts on the inside info. But is it this investigation? Blink says so and has the inside info. Still remember that it was DEA that was part of failed sting.

Attorney says that TH is the subject of the Kyron investigation and all publicly released info says the same.

If the family attorney stipulates to an immediate divorce and Oregon is a no fault divorce state, why does it matter that the family law attorney can’t get access to the 911 calls or RS’s address? Does it have any relevance to the divorce, custody or property? That they concede that TH is the subject of a criminal investigation that, IMO, gives the judge good reason to give Kaine full custody.

However, then, how does Lisa Pumala acquire an ex-stepdad’s name after she divorces her husband Brian Pumala? Why not go back to her maiden name?
I suppose Cruz could be her maiden/mom’s family name, but again, why hyphenate with Pumala; especially Pumala coming first? Why not Lisa Cruz or Lisa Cruz-Pumala?

The 911 call request back to Dec. 26th, as I think we all knew there was a storm brewing in the Horman house for a long time. The only thing that might surprise me is some of what the storm was about. I do think that they had a unique sex life…to put it politely. I have a feeling there are things KH will not want made public but it will happen anyway. All MOO.
RS is an alias, the super sleuths here have already dug up a bunch of aliases for him and his posse. Surely we have learned that these illegals have many aliases!
RS is part of this ongoing investigation, that is why he has been “in hiding” and no further media stories on him, as it were.

Ugh. More delays. The judge is sympathetic to Kaine. Under the circumstances, I hope Terri is not allowed to see Kiara. Repeated 911 calls from the Horman house regarding threats, and by Houze’s own admission she has received death threats, so how can Kiara be safe with her, supervised or not? Back to KATU.
KOIN posted a story titled “Source: Kyron search now a recovery effort” at 6:42 am, then updated it (with the same headline, apparently) at 7:58 am. Sometime thereafter, KOIN yanked the entire story and replaced it with a different story; KOIN redirected the original URL to the new story.
The differences between the two stories are so striking: The first version says that the search is now a “recovery effort” and that searchers “were looking for Kyron’s body”; the second version does not contain either detail.
I have no doubt that the original was correct. I’m also betting the “revised” version was toned down, before it was ultimately pulled from the news site.

Is this an example of LE attempting to silence the media? IMHO, I don’t think LE is “making” anyone do anything. However, I do think there have been some carefully placed phone calls that have convinced editors to change headlines, remove online videos, and perhaps even hold stories.
From my experience, the LE officer (usually the public information officer or higher) making the call asking for a major change to a story does so under the premise that running the story would harm the investigation. The LE officer then promises an exclusive or some other access in trade for holding the story.
Hypothetically speaking, the “carrot” to get the editor to pull a story could be offering a trade, i.e. allowing a photographer and/or reporter access that others don’t have, say beyond the barricade where searches are taking place. The access comes with the condition that the reporter/photographer agrees to sit on the story until LE makes an arrest or otherwise gives that person the green light to use the material.
On the other hand, you could have a case where a close friend or family member shares a tidbit of information that makes its way to the reporter, only to find out that the leak has jeopardized his or her job.
IMHO, LE had a major break and at least one major discovery in the past ten days.
Blink said she believed the October 2 and 3, 2010, search of Sauvie Island was prompted by “information gleaned on Wednesday [September 29, 2010].” Blink also acknowledged there were grand jury appearances the week of September 27, 2010 through October 1, 2010. Blink did not connect the grand jury appearances to the “information gleaned” that prompted the search.
One person listening to the MCSO scanner heard an officer asked to be connected to Detective Weinstein, who is associated with the Portland Police Bureau missing person unit. This particular communication did not mention Kyron, however.

MOO, there are very few reasons to have an all-night search. These reasons are as follows:
1. LE cannot conduct the search during the day, i.e. to use Luminol in an outdoor area. (Not sure if Luminol would be of any assistance four months after a kidnapping.)
2. LE does not want its search to be observed, i.e. if LE is recovering sensitive evidence (i.e. human remains); if LE has a witness that must remain confidential; or if LE is searching a sensitive area that it wants to remain confidential (possibly due to the land owner’s request).
3. LE found something and must secure the site, collect evidence, and complete its investigation of that area.
Given the high cost of conducting an overnight search (overtime costs would go through the roof), IMHO, the most likely scenario in play is LE found something and must continue the search overnight, and/or LE has a witness whose identity must remain confidential.
Post Script –”Terri Horman lawyers filed court documents that say the $350K she supposedly used to hire her attorneys is inaccurate, and that whatever money they have been paid came from a third party and is therefore not a marital asset. (SAY WHAT ?) But they did not reveal the identity of third party. (BUT SHE WOULD LIKE KH MONEY AS WELL…)

Correct me if I am wrong, but saying RS is involved in an ongoing investigation does not necessarily mean he is the subject of said investigation. I have always been intrigued by the fact that a DEA agent accompanied RS on the sting. I am still wondering if RS may be a confidential informant and/or material witness, hence the shielding from exposure. The prosecution sure seems to be going to lengths to make sure he is out of reach.
Whichever way you slice it, it sounds to me like LE has connected some of the dots here, folks. Just wondering if this case may be wrapped up in a few months…..

If anyone is familiar w/ Brooke Willberger case in Corvallis, Oregon. Police unbeknown to public secured the location & her remains on the QT. Media for a period of time did not report activity of police nor the location site. Brooke was 19y/o @ the time of her disappearance & had been "missing" for over 5 years. She was "found" on private property after the "kidnapper/rapist" gave investigators/DA the location.

I am beyond sad, heartbroken, and sick that it is indeed a recovery mission now, whether LE admits it or not. They must know something fairly concrete, IMO. I was still hoping for Ky to be found alive even though it was not probable. Insert cuss words here.

If TH got the 350k from her parents, it makes me wonder why her lawyer would not come right out and say it (or let it “slip” similar to the way he put the Rudy Sanchez alias info out there..)? Just for the PR value? Instead he says testimony about the source of the money would incriminate her??
Is it possible that TH would use illegally obtained money to pay for her defense lawyer? Or maybe we are back to it being money she recieved for selling pictures of Kyron?
And thanks Newsatfive for the info on overnight searches. I really hope you are right and they have had a major break in the case.

I googled and searched a ton trying to find reasons to explain why they would do a search at night. I knew what my gut felt when I heard them say this, but thought “ahh there must be another reason”.

Yes, he did the right thing from a legal perspective. Laura Rackner is on record saying she just wanted to assisst law enforcement. That is NOT her role, that is unless she wants to subject her client to having to turn over criminal case file evidence in an ongoing investigation. Houze really could have pushed harder in some areas.
I suspect the only reason he did not is because he is saving it for any potential criminal matters.

However, then, how does Lisa Pumala acquire an ex-stepdad’s name after she divorces her husband Brian Pumala? Why not go back to her maiden name?

I am trying to play catch up. Car broke down yesterday and had to leave by bus early this morning. Daughter out of school today and tomorrow.
Thanks for the comments, Blink. And Eloise, YES, that photo disturbs me. Everyone, the simple fact that the Mayor tweeted the WW story minutes after it was posted is noteworthy. Why? Why did the Mayor feel that he needed to help the cause in the manner and time that he did it?
The Mayor was Johnny-the-Spot, big time. Why? Is this really normal for him? I get the feeling it isn’t. It seems that there was some aid in keeping this person’s identity unknown. It SEEMS to me that clearing this man in the photo was the Mayor’s true agenda, even though he brought attention to him.
Maybe this man has nothing to do with it. Maybe this man served as a way for the Mayor to show concern. Maybe this man was symbolic of placing a focus early on and would soon fade away into a different focus.
I get the feeling that Terri was ultimately seen as the perfect scapegoat and by someone that knows of her history and lifestyle. I am not going to spell everything out in my head right now because some of it will be very unpopular. I do think it was sexually motivated, as Blink has suggested. I think what LE has uncovered is related to that. I think what LE knows will truly disturb public trust on a very large level.

The money for Houze came from a third party and it may be held against TH by LE. I’m having a little trouble with this mix. Why would a third party paying her attorney fee be incriminating? Maybe the third party is Larry Flynt.

I believe a post I wrote within the last week either didn’t show up or for any other reason just isn’t here, but while everyone across the country is trying to decipher the results of the divorce hearing today, I’ve read some comments that bother me.
I do not live in Oregon. But in my state, what happened in the Horman case today is straight up. Terri Horman has not been charged with any crime. The fact that people want her to be guilty and punished already is moot. Her rights — just as anyone’s rights — cannot be ignored/denied merely because people believe she is behind Kyron Horman’s disappearance. And yes, a divorce is often all about money, and why shouldn’t it be? Marriages have financial issues, each and every one of them.
Is Divorce Law in Oregon suddenly supposed to be completely ignored, or even fabricated, in Terri’s case merely because people are convinced she’s guilty of a horrible crime? No.
She has parental rights concerning her daughter. She has a right to use an attorney’s skills to protect her rights. She has not been accused, arrested, charged, arraigned for any crime. It does not matter that some folks believe she has committed a crime.
No one outside LE at this time has any clue on Kyron’s fate, location, or what exactly happened to him on June 4 and thereafter. No one outside LE knows who LE believes has committed an actual crime — never mind who they know might be just a morally disgusting person who has actually not committed a crime.
The prevailing wisdom isn’t correct. An innocent person should NOT “tell everything they know” and should never not hire a lawyer. Innocent people have been slandered, smeared, libeled, arrested for crimes they did not commit, and no doubt there are innocent people in prison or jail tonight somewhere in this country who are waiting for an appeal, a DNA exoneration, something, anything, to help free them. I have no idea if Terri Horman has committed a crime. I have suspicions. I have hunches. But I have no facts to tell me specifically what she has or has not done. The people who have such information are keeping it on lock down for a reason. I don’t even know the reason for the secrecy about TH or anyone else in this case. It’s not my decision to make. I have no control over the information feeds out of this case, and nearly 100% of those who follow this case so closely also have no such control.
From what I could see, the divorce process with the Hormans is SOP. That might enrage some people who want TH burned at the stake, but if we as a country permit a Terri Horman to be the first person to have all her rights stripped away — only because people say that she’s guilty of Kyron’s disappearance — then some day we will be the next person who’s rights are taken away from us.
Our system of justice has its dents, but it protects both the accused — in order to make sure that punishment “fits the crime” — and it protects the falsely accused, the victim of planted evidence, the person who was drummed into a coerced confession…all of these people exist and all of them, in the United States, have legal rights in our courts.
We cannot make the demand that today, TH should have somehow been brutally punished in divorce court. The laws of this country and of the states exists to be applied to all citizens, whether we despise them, distrust them, hate them, or want them executed before they’ve even been charged with a crime.
