Holly Bobo Missing And Endangered: Are Suspects Naming Themselves- Odd Dodd?

On the eve of the 4 week anniversary of missing Darden, TN nursing student, Holly Bobo, new investigative details are being learned about the case. Two unofficial persons of interest have taken their case “public” in a way.
While blinkoncrime.com was aware of this information, a decision was made to withhold it in the interests of the cases “active” status previously.
That was, until today, when one of the known person’s of interests in Holly’s disappearance, outed himself publicly.
Jonathan Dodd, son of Bradley Grafton Dodd, and Dena Logan Dodd, chose the Parsons topix forum to “defend” himself against what he termed “death threats”.
Blink, Editor In Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com, was able to confirm the poster on the topix forum was indeed, Jon Dodd.
Speaking exclusively to www.blinkoncrime on the condition of anonymity, an extended family member of the Dodd family, sheds more light on Master Dodd’s claims.
“.. Yes, that is definitely him. I have no idea how he can say he does not know the Bobo family, he went to Scotts Hill with Holly for a short time. Karen Bobo, Holly’s Mom, worked for Grafton Dodd, his grandfather, when he was the principle of the Parson’s junior High when it was still there, Brad and Grafton are on the school board, there is no way that is true what is said.

When he is saying something was stolen from the property, he is talking about the ATV you wrote about before, when I saw that, I knew you were aware of him. Sandy called the sheriffs department before she knew that Holly was missing to report that their ATV was stolen. Sandy is also the cheer leading coach at Riverside High, since forever, and she got into some minor trouble a few years back because she got caught rigging the tryouts. Nothing major, but everyone knew about it. Dena, his Mom, was a teacher at Riverside shortly after he got transferred, which is weird again.
Everyone in this family has been covering for Jon since he was a kid. I could not believe when he stabbed Brad with a scissors when he was about 8 1/2, there was a big cover up. Last year Dena moved to Gwinnett County because the grands let him get away with anything. He has a baby with Shelby Sellers and nobody really even knew about that until after.
Jon went to the great-grandparents for a while in Arab, Ala in 2006 after the girl was killed in the car accident that got his ass beat up when he said she deserved it, and again, nobody said a word. Brad and Dena started up that Boy Scouts thing for him and (redacted by blink).
What is he talking about? What does donate DNA mean? O that is totally him, I can tell by the “I get paid to hunt” or whatever. Speaking of hunting, the abandoned cabin that volunteers found, when Grafton was told, was when he refused permission for any other searches and they got a warrant. Grafton and Sandy were seen removing a mattress from that part of the property, the one they found in the place where the outhouses were used recently. (redacted) saw him in WalMart, he looked at her and said he did not do it, I swear. Really scary.
He (Jon) did not donate DNA, it was taken from him in the parking lot of Tuckers Diner, he did not have a choice. The LE came there and showed some papers. Grafton’s was taken too, but I don’t know were, I heard it was at the area of the Pugh property, by that Shayne Austin’s parents house.

A former boyfriend of Holly Bobo’s, Blake Barnett, is also doing nothing to avoid being scrutinized. It is clear from his facebook postings that he is aware of his “celebrity”, and that folks following this case, are reading.
While it does not make him a bad guy, we have confirmed that he has had a background of alleged violence, in a former relationship with Holly Bobo.
He was the first name utttered by Holly Bobo’s parents, Dana and Karen, when they learned of her abduction.
That said, there is no known evidence linking Mr. Barnett to Holly’s disappearance.
Barnett is no stranger to violence, unfortunately, Blake, his brother and sister lost their parents Timothy and Janice in a brutal murder in 1993.
John Robinson, with actus reus assistance from his wife Kimberly, murdered both of the Barnett’s because they were after him for bounced checks.
Amelia, Blake’s little sister, was left in her crib for 48 hours before police found her while looking for the Barnett’s. She survived.
There have been no official suspects or persons of interest named in the disappearance of Holly Bobo in 4 weeks.
There has not been a LE update to her case since May 2.

Since there is some agreement that the date of abduction is significant. Could the date of abduction be related to a previous relationship breakup date or some type of anniversary date, ie. 6 months together or something like that?

Aren’t active restraining orders public information? Seems like, elsewhere at least, when there is rumored to be a current or prior restraining order, and one actual exists/existed, it’s generally promptly confirmed?

Blink-this is the first factual account from the family ever posted. This was heart wrenching to read, but the first paragraph throws a weird twist into this:

The day she went missing Bobo put on her bright pink shirt, jeans and black flip-flops and packed her lunch for another day of nursing school at the nearby UT-Martin campus.
Her brother, Clint, was still asleep. Their parents had already left for work.
At 7:40 a.m., Holly walked to her black Ford Mustang on the long, winding driveway leading to the Bobo family’s rural Decatur County home.
Minutes later, the family’s dog barked, waking Clint. He walked to the kitchen window that faces the expansive, treelined backyard to see what the ruckus was about. A man dressed in camouflage had his sister by the arm, leading her into the woods, he later told the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The psychology student went out to his sister’s Mustang. She was supposed to be on her way to school, he knew. Next to her car, pooled a small puddle of blood and a spilled Coke can.
Wide awake now, Clint Bobo ran into his house and called 911. He called his mother, Karen, a second-grade teacher who usually chatted by text with Holly several times a day. Panicked now, he ran into the woods where he had last seen his sister.
Nothing. She was nowhere. No more blood.

In the beginning I know we thought this case would solve quickly. Do you have any ideas on why it seems everything has come to a standstill? The searches were very active until an important item was found, which some have said was Holly’s cell phone. Is it just me or do others feel that’s when things visibly came to a halt, publicly anyway? Is LE still searching and working Holly’s case? If so, why the absolute silence? Blink, I know there’s info that just can’t be stated because of the investigation, but can you personally, share any thoughts on this? Thanks for anything.
Investigatively, this case is a nightmare.
There were so many leaks you could fill a levy so the Sherriff’s Office was cut off and the case is being handled exclusively by the TBI. There is a strong belief that the person/person’s responsible were on the search, and may have compromised the case.
WRT the Tony Calabrese run SAR- I can tell you no LEA’s will ever work with them and reputable organizations are outraged.

Since the POI(s)are capable of doing an abduction, does anyone think that their could be a serial killer or sexual predator living in Decatur County? Do serial killers and/or sexual predators normally remove their victims from there homes? I don’t know if the TBI/FBI has a profile for Holly’s abductor, but, I would think that the POI has anti-social behavior issues with a very specific reason to target her making it a personal attack and not that of a serial killer/sexual predator, JMO.
I don’t understand something maybe someone can explain this to me. When Clint called 911 did he say he saw Holly going into the woods with her b/f or some random guy. If I am not mistaken didn’t the sheriff say they got there 1-2 hours later. Shouldnt there have been a faster response by the sheriff if there was blood and a witness seeing her go in the woods with a random guy.

In my opinion… we could wait a very long time for the “professtionals” They appear to have a lot of unsolved crimes.. Hope Holly is high on their list.

If Clint actually ran into the woods, (and I assume the sheriff eventually trailed into the woods as well) if an ATV were involved surely there would have been tracks and exhaust fumes, huh? Then that ended at highway? This entire case has me very confused. With so many leaks, I imagine the perp, if local was continually tipped off. Do you think all the evidence has been compromised? Prayers for this heartbroken family. Jeezie, it just makes me sick.
That article released today is why the Bobo’s arnt talking. The media and TBI’s contradictions have made this a living h***. Heartbreaking to hear that everyday Mr. Bobo is searching the woods and ponds for his daughter. This could happen to ANY one of us. This is a local crime as LE has stated. Media does NOT when the perp is known to the family. The family owes us nothing and has nothing to say. This could happen to someone you love. No parent should have to say goodbye to their child. Have faith that Holly will be brought home soon. Stop dragging Holly and her familys names through the mud regarding their personal lives.

If you visit this FB page and navigate to the SAR site it has a flashing icon that says tracing visitor and recieving data. Usually SAR sites have credentials and members. This site only pictures Holly. Have you ever seen a SAR page set up this way before? I am NOT implying that this man is a criminal and am only expressing my opinions. The likes on the FB page include.. COCA COLA, Mustang cars, Victoria’s Secret clothing, country music, Attended University of TN at Martin, women’s health, women’s health and beauty, lots of TN sites… IMO His conduct is what brought the attn to him. Any thought’s on this? I have an SAR dog in training so I have a bit of interest on the subject.
Just curious, is the kid (Caleb Alexander) that was helping during the search with a cast, related to Alice Alexander Barnett or BB?

According to your post about being the prep/preps between the searchers, is there any way to check on all of the people involve in search? Is there any recording about who is attending the search and also, which area each person is involved?
And, is it logical to conclude from your statement that all of the findings, the lunch box, the duct tape and the third item, all were staged? If so, then maybe it is better to have a closer look to west of Bobo’s home because the items has been found on east.

Thanks Blink for answering and sharing your thoughts. I agree that Holly’s case did become an investigative nightmare, quite early on. I wasn’t aware that it was turned over to TBI solely. What does this say?
I’ve always felt that it was highly likely that someone involved was on the search. Maybe not the actual perp, but perhaps a family member/s. I do believe from the circumstances that we’ve been told, that this is most likely someone from the local area. Maybe Holly nor her family knew them personally, but they definitely knew the Bobo morning routine. I tend to believe that Holly did know the person. How well, I don’t know . JMO
My thoughts are with Mr and Mrs Bobo and Clint. May they find strength to face what the’re going through and what lies ahead. By some miracle, I hope Holly comes home alive.

It is a shame that the investigation possibly got “muddied” by leaks and volunteer searchers. (I wondered how so many volunteers could be monitored to make sure they didn’t destroy or mishandle evidence.) Still, “muddied” does not necessarily mean “destroyed.” It just gives le more of a challenge. The good thing is that there are thousands of people willing to donate their money, time, and other resources to help in this case, now and in the long term. People might get on with their daily routines, but they are not going to forget or give up. Besides, most criminals continue to commit crimes. If they do not get caught for this crime, they will likely get caught for another one (O.J. Simpson & Joran van der Sloot — both in jail).
I wonder if whoever committed this crime has a drug habit. If so, they might get terribly miserable if their “supply” has been cut off. I wonder how they would cope with guilt and stress without their “fix.” Hopefully, the meth labs and pot farms have been closed down as a result of the searches and investigations. Even if Holly never gets to be a nurse, she has brought people together, the unhealthy and undesirable aspects of the community have been exposed, and the health and safety awareness of the entire community has improved. Prayers for Holly, her family, her friends and community, and the dedicated people investigating this case.
Another thought–if the person(s) responsible were at the search, their names are on a list. They likely “searched” together. That list will be narrowed down eventually as to who searched with who on given dates, times, and locations. Eventually, someone will recall something said or an action or behavior that struck them as “odd,” “unusual,” or “inappropriate” during a search or in the days before or after the abduction, and they will report it to the TBI. It’s only a matter of time.
It also might be just a matter of time before the person(s) responsible get high or drunk and incriminate themselves while they are under the influence.
I wonder if offering money or immunity from prosecution as a reward for information regarding Holly’s current location –no questions asked– (rather than information leading to arrest and conviction) might get better results in finding her.
I just read where the reward is for information regarding Holly’s whereabouts. Maybe a larger amount of money would make a difference …

I have wondered about that as I have seen pictures online of Holly beside a car like that, and also it’s on the SAR facebook we all dislike.
The picture on Tony Calabrese’s site is of a black Mustang with one black flip flop(shoe) on one side of the car and what appears to be a black tie down on the other side of the car-just lying in the dirt and leaves of what looks to be a driveway.
What bothers me about that is this-is it a staged photo and why? Or is it an actual photo of the day this happened and how would TC (or a helper)have pulled that off with LE all over the Bobo property?
Also, we are just finding out Holly wore flip flops that day-how did Tony know that weeks ago? I’m not blaming him for Holly’s disappearance-I’m just saying he has info that the public does not have.
How did he get the photo(if real) and who is helping him that has access to that type of sensitive case info?

I just went on TC’s facebook to try and get a link to the photo I’m talking about and it’s all locked up tight. You cannot access any more photo’s, wall posts, etc. But I know what I saw.
That photo has been up for weeks now. I have only gone on TC’s site a few times and the last time was weeks ago and the photo was already there.
Yes Blink this case is a nightmare for sure and I hope they get it together,Makes no sense that this has happened,although I believe their are a lot of family connections in Parsons with LE.Maybe the FBI needs to step in and clean house.Too many good old boys protecting people and I believe the community is scared to speak out.The reward is very large

I seen all the pics on this guys facebook page also. I don’t know if any of its evidence or not but would like to know how he got it. It might be possible someone is leaking info to him. I don’t know if you can file some kind of petition to get that info either. Either way I think its a diservice to this case because if any of its true he shouldn’t be leaking it. No need to give perp or perps heads up on evidence in an open case. Sure the public wants answers but we don’t want the perp or perps to get off either. just my two cents

I think the le don’t want the town to implode. I am sure you ever did this has been getting in trouble with the law for ever. Its just a matter of who has been protected them that might shock the town. Maybe a lower level city offical has been getting this peron off the hook for a while. They said leaks were coming from the sheriff’s office so maybe the perp or perps are being protected by someone in that office. I am sure they got a list of all the searchers that helped. I am sure they conducted interviews of certain people and narrowed their suspect list. I am sure their well aware of everything in this case. Its just a matter of what kind of charges their going to pursue.
Jeff, anything is possible, but when you are clocked in and present at the time law enforcement comes to talk to you then you are there. I agree that Bridgets case holds weight, but it is not Blake Barnett, it may be someone else. As I stated before, he works with Drew Scotts father at the local grocery store. I dare say that Drews father would not lie about him being there upon clocking in to work that day. I also dare say that Harold would not take up for him if he thought he was involved.
Briget I don’t konw Caleb Alexander, but Alice Alexander Barnett is Blakes aunt by marriage. She is married to a Barnett, the brother of the deceased Timmy Barnett, Blakes adoptive father. He and the mother were not married at the time of birth, there was never a blood test, but Timmy Barnett adopted Blake when they married, and whether or not he is his, he assumed him to be. Laura Leigh Jones is his mother, not the deceased Janice Barnett who was murdered along with Timmy.
? What if the perp drove right up the driveway and confronted her as she was leaving for school thinking everyone was gone for the day, someone she knew, but was afraid of? What if they talked, walked around the yard, maybe put her things down on her car, returned to the carport area, began arguing. What if the perp struck her, but didn’t want her to call le and be arrested. He panicked, put her in his car and took off. Called a friend for help. Hid her. Panicked some more because there was no turning back. Got some help from a family member to cover up the details. Maybe they planted evidence during the search to make it look like Holly entered the woods. Dogs didn’t pickup any scents of Holly in the woods or did they? Did the searchers find a piece of jewelry, necklace, ring, bracelet on Easter Sunday? Did the Bobo’s have an alarm system, did it go off that a.m.?
I don’t know if Derek Scott is a POI, I am just asking why his name and picture has been more publicized than the boyfriend of Holly, which is Drew Scott. I have seen several facebook pages that imply he is a suspect. I don’t know why, maybe they have Drew and Derek mixed up. The photo that shows Holly with a guy, kind of cuddled up is Drew Scott, not Derek. But Derek gets more publicity on the facebook page of suspects. I don’t quite understand. He does have a more sinister look than Drew.

Annie, I think there are only rumors about Derek and he is not involved in my opinion I don’t think Blake is involved either.
I hear from locals and a friend that works with Blake posts that be was at work and no way he’s involved.

It is rare to never the FBI “takes over a case”. In fact, they would likely have a “trump” charge or Federal issue to pursue a simultaneous suspect.
Imo, there is no cover up going on, there is a locally connected agency, and there is protocol based reasons for them to seek outside agencies.

I don’t know how long it takes to get to the local grocery store from Holly’s house. I do think 7.30 am to 9 am is enough time do whatever you need to do. I do think the perp had this planned out, so they would of had this all worked out already. I saw on another from that this bb and holly worked togather is this true.

Remember what I have said? 2+2=4 EVERYTIME. The locals aren’t / can’t comprehend just how massive Holly’s situation is. I was with a young man (in his presence)yesterday that had phoned the TBI about literally “seeing” her with his own eyes on the 2nd. What I WAS NOT impressed with was the 3 TBI agents that showed up. One was Brent Booth. He perjured himself to the Grand Jury more than once in the Mary Winkler trial and STILL has a job. duh…, the other dude was Terry Dykus, the FORMER duty agent with the FBI for DC that is NOW obviously with the TBI (wouldn’t that be a demotion?), & the other guy was somebody named John from the Memphis area. Didn’t know him. But with 2 outta 3 that have made a very vivid impression with me; it just doesn’t make me feel warm and fuzzy about them protecting citizens. I’m afraid that I can’t go into the details, just because of the ongoing investigation, but I showed them my ID and Brent knew me anyway. So I’m sure that they left wondering who bought a PI in on the case. This guy is in such fear for his life because he’s already fallen victim to the games played there by LE (another case) so the 80k isn’t enough for folks living in fear of retaliation from the law there to do much of anything. This is my SECOND encounter of evidence that she is alive…..I watched this go down with the TBI yesterday @ about 3:00pm with my own eyes. Told you I have stepped on just about every toe over there. I have just briefly scanned all posts for the last several days, so forgive me if I am duplicating. At any rate, I was on one of the searches and I was signed in and I did have to provide identification so that should clear up some curiousities as to having info on those that searched. Also, I had a “relevation” during the night that the reason the Bobo’s had 24 hour “protection/guard” in the very beginning is that Clint was able to identify the perp. That would also explain the changing of what was reported in the beginning. I believe, as I have all along, that LE is 99% sure who did this and it is just a matter of gaining the necessary proof to haul his butt in. Unfortunately, I do not believe Holly is alive. I also hope she can be found SOON so this case can have some sort of resolve, instead of the continuation of traveling in the unknown. Blink, I would be curious as to any thoughts you might care to add.
