Holly Bobo Missing And Endangered: Are Suspects Naming Themselves- Odd Dodd?

Darden, TN–

On the eve of the 4 week anniversary of missing Darden, TN nursing student, Holly Bobo, new investigative details are being learned about the case. Two unofficial persons of interest have taken their case “public” in a way.

While blinkoncrime.com was aware of this information, a decision was made to withhold it in the interests of the cases “active” status previously.

That was, until today, when one of the known person’s of interests in Holly’s disappearance, outed himself publicly.

Jonathan Dodd, son of Bradley Grafton Dodd, and Dena Logan Dodd, chose the Parsons topix forum to “defend” himself against what he termed “death threats”.

Blink, Editor In Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com, was able to confirm the poster on the topix forum was indeed, Jon Dodd.

Speaking exclusively to www.blinkoncrime on the condition of anonymity, an extended family member of the Dodd family, sheds more light on Master Dodd’s claims.

“.. Yes, that is definitely him. I have no idea how he can say he does not know the Bobo family, he went to Scotts Hill with Holly for a short time. Karen Bobo, Holly’s Mom, worked for Grafton Dodd, his grandfather, when he was the principle of the Parson’s junior High when it was still there, Brad and Grafton are on the school board, there is no way that is true what is said.

Jon Dodd High School List From His myspace

When he is saying something was stolen from the property, he is talking about the ATV you wrote about before, when I saw that, I knew you were aware of him.   Sandy  called the sheriffs department before she knew that Holly was missing to report that their ATV was stolen. Sandy is also the cheer leading coach at Riverside High, since forever, and she got into some minor trouble a few years back because she got caught rigging the tryouts. Nothing major, but everyone knew about it. Dena, his Mom, was a teacher at Riverside shortly after he got transferred, which is weird again.

Everyone in this family has been covering for Jon since he was a kid. I could not believe when he stabbed Brad with a scissors when he was about 8 1/2, there was a big cover up. Last year Dena moved to Gwinnett County because the grands let him get away with anything. He has a baby with Shelby Sellers and nobody really even knew about that until after.

Jon went to the great-grandparents for a while in Arab, Ala in 2006 after the girl was killed in the car accident that got his ass beat up when he said she deserved it, and again, nobody said a word. Brad and Dena started up that Boy Scouts thing for him and (redacted by blink).

What is he talking about? What does donate DNA mean? O that is totally him, I can tell by the “I get paid to hunt” or whatever. Speaking of hunting, the abandoned cabin that volunteers found, when Grafton was told, was when he refused permission for any other searches and they got a warrant. Grafton and Sandy were seen removing a mattress from that part of the property, the one they found in the place where the outhouses were used recently. (redacted) saw him in WalMart, he looked at her and said he did not do it, I swear. Really scary.

He (Jon) did not donate DNA, it was taken from him in the parking lot of Tuckers Diner, he did not have a choice. The LE came there and showed some papers. Grafton’s was taken too, but I don’t know were, I heard it was at the area of the Pugh property, by that Shayne Austin’s parents house.

Another doozie…”

The X Factor

A former boyfriend of Holly Bobo’s, Blake Barnett, is also doing nothing to avoid being scrutinized. It is clear from his facebook postings that he is aware of his “celebrity”, and that folks following this case, are reading.

While it does not make him a bad guy, we have confirmed that he has had a background of  alleged violence, in a former relationship with Holly Bobo.

He was the first name utttered by Holly Bobo’s parents, Dana and Karen, when they learned of her abduction.

That said, there is no known evidence linking Mr. Barnett to Holly’s disappearance.

Barnett is no stranger to violence, unfortunately, Blake, his brother and sister lost their parents Timothy and Janice in a brutal murder in 1993.

John Robinson, with actus reus assistance from his wife Kimberly, murdered both of the Barnett’s because they were after him for bounced checks.

Amelia, Blake’s little sister, was left in her crib for 48 hours before police found her while looking for the Barnett’s.  She survived.

There have been no official suspects or persons of interest named in the disappearance of Holly Bobo in 4 weeks.

There has not been a LE update to her case since May 2.

The search effort for Holly Bobo continues.

Blink-why would TC have the Memphis FBI contact info on his page? Do you think that the FBI knows their info is on Tony’s page-and would they want it there?

So he does not get charged with obstruction or interfering in an investigation, witness tampering.

I am not going thank Clint bobo just yet until this case is solved. So far his story in my mind has confused people more then it helped. The family won’t talk, townspeople won’t talk, the tbi won’t discuss anything relative to the case. I don’t know how you can solve a case with no info, nor arrest anyone. The tbi comes out and says no one is talking to them, well their not talking to anyone either. just my two cents

  9. Michelle says:

I know everyone is getting frustrated with the silence- I am too. However I have to believe there is a reason for it! As some people have stated, I believe the TBI/LE/Bobo’s have a pretty good idea of who the perp(s) are- they just need some final evidence to make the arrest(s). Don’t you think that if they truely had no idea who did this that the Bobo’s and TBI would be pleading for people to talk and be putting this case in the spotlight daily? The fact that they are not tells me that they know who did this. As hard as it is for the Bobo’s to have to sit back and be quiet they know it’s in the best interest of the case and Holly’s to do so. IMO!

Also, Blink, in your opinion, do you still believe that Holly is no longer with us? I know TBI is still referring to this as a missing person’s case and not a homicide but was curious as to your opinion-didn’t know if anything you’ve learned lately might have influenced your thoughts on this? Thanks Blink.

The TBI also does not talk much about the other women they cannot find, Gail Palmgren, Shelley Mook, Marsha Brantley…suspicious ex or current husbands in all three cases and yet no charges…so who the heck knows, maybe the TBI just can’t find missing people or figure out how to press charges when they don’t…

  12. Cindy says:

If I understood the news article that correctly. LE is back to zero suspects as it states that everyone has an alibi that checks out. Or am I missing something or is LE not telling the truth?

    5. She has not left the state
    6. No one is ruled out, to me takes the strangest of it all, if exs and family were ruled out.

I have to go with Michelle on what she suggested, that makes the most sense to me right now. I thought about that exact same thing the other day. Sometimes I over react to a situation, especially one like this where you know if people are going to be this low down, and think they can steal one of your loved ones, and destroy everyones life that’s involved, I got some news for you. Anyway, you see I almost started to go off again, this to me is extremly serious stuff. For someone like Little John to do what he did to Emmit and then just go to jail isn’t good enough for me, sorry. But I know that God can and will work that kind of stuff out in my heart, as long as I cooperate with Him. Finally, I’m glad B is an opened minded and nice lady, thanks.

  16. perplexed says:

I am encouraged about this case. I really want to believe Holly is alive, as we all do. Money does not appear to be the right incentive to get people with knowledge to talk. We have to figure out what fear barrier has to be broken to get them to disclose what they know. Is it fear of prosecution for themselves or a family member? Is it fear of retaliation if the perps or their families find out who told? Is it fear of the local law enforcement (justified or not)? Is someone holding out because they fear that telling what happened might put Holly or her family in a bad light? LE has to be able to make assurances that whatever the person fears will not happen and also provide a sufficient reward.
On the other hand, perhaps the problem is not fear, but an attitude. Maybe its just the attitude that “it is law enforcement’s problem, and it’s not my job to get involved.” I hope that is not the case.

  17. constance says:

Oh I think the reward is plenty and would bring in real info if anyone had it who was NOT involved in the crime…$80K or so is a lot of money and if a young person has some information and earned this reward, they could set up a decent life elsewhere.

I just don’t like how the tbi is saying no one in town is talking to them. I think the tbi saying that is an insult to the good people of that town. The tbi is the one who is not releasing any info or telling people what is going on. The whole article saying people aren’t talking has serious problems with it. How can you give info on a suspect that hasn’t been named in the case. How can you do anything with no named suspect. I really have serious problems with this tbi agency. Just my two cents

  20. Jackie Bauer :) says:

@Jeff: I was just throwing out a possibility of how she got the car without 1) her going into serious debt for it, 2) someone other than her parents buying it for her or 3) the money for the car coming from unearned income (like investment income or some sort of cash flow not on record, if you know what I mean). I’m going to go with parents, just because from what we know about Holly, it seems most likely. Also, if the debt for the car were the real issue, wouldn’t someone disappear the car?

  21. jeff says:

Sorry guys not trying to be mean or negative. I just don’t like bad people getting away with bad things. Its very frustrating that bad things happen to good people. I would really like to see results in this case and the bad people put away. Just venting a littl bit (lol)

  22. jeff says:

I agree with everything you posted. I was just wondering because thats an expensive car. I was just wondering if money had anything to do with the case. I was thinking maybe someone came up to repo the car and took holly instead. Maybe someone came up to steal the car and took holly instead. Thats why I was wondering if it was an issue. Just my two cents

  23. Investigator says:

Jeff, I can hear your frustration; however, you should be aware that TBI, FBI, local LE…any LE agency does not have to provide information to the public. It isn’t our “right” to have information, so depending on the case and their motivation, they can choose to release a lot of information, a little information or none at all. That is their perogative. To them, you have no relevance to this case and obviously they do not feel the need to give you or anyone else the name of the suspect or information about the crime. That’s just how it works…

  24. jkm says:

I do understand that and I actually feel the same way, it’s just to bad for so many people that there just doesn’t seem to be any real means to an end. However, I am going to keep my head up because I believe there will be better days ahead…thankyou

  25. Jackie Bauer :) says:

@Jeff: I hear you! I think that’s why we’re all here mostly, and some of these stories touch us even more than others. I still check on Kyron daily; that little boy breaks my heart and watching his parents does, too. Holly is a girl who just got to me, too, and I want her FOUND and I want whoever did this to be held so very accountable.

  26. constance says:

I don’t understand why people often say LE owes the public nothing-who do they work for? Who are they paid to try to keep safe? I do feel LE owes their communities a great deal when dealing with something as potentially dangerous as an abduction of one of their citizens. Perhaps instead of sending out shots to the commnuity about how they are not cooperating they might try calling some town meetins or something productive and share enough information with the residents so that they will be able to know what kind of information is needed, and let them know why they are so convinced that this is a “local” crime. I would be even more concerned hearing that, if I lived there and then not another word.

  27. jeff says:

    investigator

I agree the le don’t have to provide the public with any info. I just think its very insulting to come out and say they need leads from the public after two months. My whole point is no one can provide anything if they don’t know what to provide. How can you discredit someones’ albi if the public don’t know who or any of the suspects are. How can you get an accruate story if the public don’t even know the whole story. I can’t be the only one to see something wrong with this.

I completely diagree about information the TBI has not being “our” right to know. The TBI is a governement agency paid for by you and I meaning we are their employers and they have to be accountable to the public as their employer. Additionally, once a crime is commited it becomes a matter of public record. We have every right to know what information they may have. If they have a good idea your next door neighbor could be the perp Im sure you would want to know so that you could take necessary measures to protect your family. What if they knew all along your next door neighbor was the perp and he snatched your child? Isnt that a huge liability for the TBI? Of course it is.

i have never seen a case that has so much silence, it may be for good reason,we hope because holly is the most important person here..
the rumors & speculation are mind blowing, & i think everyone should respect the bobo’s privicey we were not there we can only guess as to what happen from all the rumors,, imo. this was a very freak thing that happen to this poor family, i have been in there shoes,, so i will not cast stones at anyone.. if you go back to the day it happen.. here’s a young girl going about her business & by the way maybe her parents bought her the car for her graduating from her nursing school.) just a thought.. i think this is someone who seen holly around, maybe church, coon hunt, work, friends,, & became very infatuated with her,, & planned this for sometime. knew all there routen, who left at what time. it sounds to me this person was obsessed with her.. i thought i read somewhere at the coon hunt not sure if it was a friend or someone whom worked there, that someone had walked towards her or something like that & holly got really freaked out,, could this be the same person yes maybe… i’m sure guys come from all over she may not know this person well, but knows of him.. if he put his plan into action, & got to know the area or already had ,, i think there ascape route would be crutal.. so maybe they did this several times as we all heard the area is very thick back there, imo there had to be more than one, & they were the ones waiting in the woods for her, as he did not want to be recignozed,,by anyone.. the camo could very well be a cover up for them to blend in..
& i’m sure some type of vehicle waiting for them,, as for the dog barking as they have commented on. well it may have barked at something. as they sence things much better than we do..it could have been trying to warn her of something not right.. it’s possible the rason the dog didn;t go after her which i believe would have protected her but could it have been in a cage seeing everyone worked. so therefore couldn’t run after them.. & if they did have some sort of weapon on them i would hate to have seen the dog suffer too… i believe this poor girl tried with all her power to get away from these people.. once they grabbed her, i also think imo,,she tried to leave a trail of what ever items she had. or at least some of them. (still not sure about the blood).. unless she tried to protect herself from a knife or something & got cut.. i’m just speculating here.. i cant imagine the hell this poor girl is going through, & i hope she knows in her heart we are all there for her praying she comes home, or by the grace of god is able to escape somehow.. i would have to believe that if this is a person who in fact is that infatuated with her that she will be kept alive, if she comply’;s with this monster, i have never believed the family nor the brother is involved in any way,, all they want is for their loved one to come home..

    waiting for holly;

This case now appears Cold as Ice.
Add it to the very long list of unsolved cases by our educated and trained professionals at work. I never blame victims families for their frustration these days as it appears that perpetrators of crimes have become more “thought out” before committing a criminal act. Even when it is obvious “who did it” LE is limited from making an arrest as the local prosicutors office limits them because of their concern for not having enough evidence to get a conviction.. So everyone waits..
This is not the perfect crime in my humble opinion.

Blink just out of sheer curiosity, has there been a statement released by LE or TBI telling the public they know that Holly was taken on an ATV? If not, then the tire ads would have no bearing on this case, possibly. There were roadblocks and since four wheelers are not allowed on the highway, I don’t see why they would be searching vehicles if they are sure she was taken on an ATV and not a vehicle. I don’t recall seeing anything released by the law saying they are sure that the get-away vehicle was for sure an ATV. No talk of tire tracks. Just want to know.

Yes, to all regarding LE agencies are paid by your tax dollars and are “accountable” to the public for their performance and abilty to keep the public safe. That being said, they are NOT accountable to you for how they run their investigations, what information they choose to disclose or anything that they consider case sensitive. Somehow people often have this misconception and it is exactly that…a misconception.
How do you know that LE hasn’t warned individuals who need to use caution with regard to this crime? You don’t, because they won’t be speaking to the public either on the advice of LE…it appears that most of you are not from the local area, therefore, the details of the case do not directly impact you. You don’t have pertinent case information because you don’t live there…so you don’t need details because you would not be able to phone in a tip. You have no way of knowing what is going on in this investigation and LE would like to keep it that way…that is how they choose to do their job in this case and they have their reasons…which is what you pay them to do. Their methodology is not something you are permitted to direct. They are trained in their field and you are not, or you wouldn’t be demanding these answers. LE agencies are not subject to answer questions just to satisfy public curiosity…if you have information that is more than simple curiosity, the TBI has provided a telephone number for you to contact.
My hat says Investigator for more than just one reason.

After re-reading my previous comment, I want to add…I’m sorry if I appear “snippy” about LE Investigations. I am very aware that sometimes LE can and does make serious errors in how things are handled; however, this is true in all professions. Errors are made, hindsight is 20-20, no one is perfect. I just get a little frustrated when people start demanding things that don’t have a personal connection to their own life out of mere curiosity based on the fact that LE is paid by taxpayer money. Many people work for the government…it doesn’t mean that John Q Public is entitled to dictate every aspect of how they do their job.

I don’t understand how you can operate a missing person case like that. Maybe the tbi does have their reasons for doing what their doing. You gotta think if very little info is coming out then why wouldn’t you get very little info back. I just don’t understand their methods or their operation. Thats all I was trying to say

  46. Cnog says:

    @ Investigator,

I completely agree with you regarding LE. In my opinion, they are not witholding information just to make the public mad, but they are witholding it because it is in Holly’s best interest and in the best interest of the Bobo’s. I think LE is doing what they need to do, to keep the public safe. Mistakes will be made, but that is simply human. I would be very concerned if LE was blabbing every little piece of the case. There is no wisdom in that.
