So I don’t get it…george looked like he was lying, cindy definitely lying, and I guess lee is being honest? Lee and cin contradict each other, then sit by each other, and all is good? What the??? I don’t get this family. Is it their plan to all lie on stand for caseys benefit?

  10. annals says:

Dana hit it; George did step in it today. But, unlike Dana, I didn’t feel bad for him; I felt bad about him.

    My favorite George statement today:
I went to see her [River Cruz] to cheer her up and make her comfortable with what was going on in her life.

[He was told she had brain cancer. Good Guy George thinks an appearance at her condo will make her feel comfortable with having brain cancer.] What a dope; a dope in high dudgeon.

    lol. I am with you.

  11. cindeefromwisconsin says:

Regarding George. When asked by Jose Baez about the statement that Caylee’s death was an accident that snowballed out of control. Did you notice how long it took him to answer? And then he asked for the question to be repeated. If I would have texted a man that “I needed him in my life” my husband said he would think something is up.

  12. TR says:

Pretty and smart! A killer combination. Trying to catch up with all of this!

  14. A Texas Grandfather says:

You guys should not be so surprised at Blink’s appearance. If you had paid attention to some of my earlier posts regarding the picture of her grandmother, I gave you a clue.

Her grandmother was a beautiful little one in that picture. Blink’s cheeks are just a little fuller than I had mentally pictured them to be and she has a bow knot upper lip. A great mouth for playing a flute or clarinet or singing. LOL.

True beauty IMO is an inner beauty that comes from our thoughts and and how we care about others. In that regard, we all know that Blink is beautiful.

    Good show as always Blink.

I am looking for the defense to rest by noon tomorrow. I think they have just run out of crazy things to do. The rebuttal case is not going to be as long as it could have been due to the success the prosecution has with handling the defense witnesses.

Thank you Kindly ATG, I think the defense will go to Thursday at the earliest, with a UGE push to deliberate by Saturday.

  15. annals says:

I like Lee. The more I see him, the more he makes sense to me.

Twice, recently he has testified about anger and hurt feelings in reaction to the statements, actions and denials of his family members. That makes sense.

They’re his family and he trys to continue to relate to them despite the lies, dysfunction & tragedy. OK.

Lee was the only family member looking for the truth of what happened to Caylee. He went on a months long sabatical from his job and unlike George, he worked nonstop at investigating.

The police used him, then spied on him. (As they had to.)

He believed Casey (kind of) because he knew she was the key to finding Caylee. Why alienate her, if she’s the key? Now she accuses him of incest as a partial excuse for her pathological lying.

When he laughs on the stand it makes perfect sense to me. He’s on a world stage; splayed open. Who’s life is richer in irony than Lee’s?

annals- I am just not sure, I think he may be a herring now, you think?

  16. New says:

Great show Blink. You are a truly beautiful person inside and out. Oh! someone has said that already. But it is what it is. Thank you for all your hard work for Caylee.

This case is really a lesson in life and how not to live it. Caylee has revealed in her death how dysfuntion corrupts the soul. I believe she is court sitting with Mr. Ashton and Linda and George. Mr. Ashton has so much passion, Lindas determination is like iron, and George is their support.

    TY kindly of course.

I’m so proud of how strong and clear you are, then to see how lovely you are too? Your parents must love you to pieces.

lol, ty kindly. Fortunately, my parents love me greatly, as I them, and they have certainly seen me at my worst, like no other. I could not owe them more but to honor them.

  20. Sharai says:

I refuse to believe that the A’s and the DT are brillant strategists. Their collective behavior defies reason. Watching the trial is like watching a badly crafted Afternoon special about a mock trial in a junior high Government class. CM was unbelievably inapt, and Kronk was masterful. I don’t know what else to say. May God be with us and justice prevail.

  25. mrikim says:

Blink, you are a beautiful woman. I always knew you had a beautiful soul. You have the total package. I perceived you as Lois Lane look a-like. LOL

After watching and listening to Dr. Drew’s “juror” tonight I need to vent. She stated she could understand why the Anthony family is lying for their daughter. “One will do anything for their child.” I will always love and support my children but I will not lie for them. I can emphatically say I will always be an advocate for my grandchildren. I have experienced this with my daughter. She was involved in drugs and stole credit cards, checks whatever she could from her family. I called the police and she was arrested. I did this for my grandchildren. She completed a Drug Court program, went back to school and is the mom her children deserve. The Anthony’s have enabled her and are still doing that. So tragic.

    Ty.

I am not thrilled with Dr. Drew coverage of this case, and I am embarrassed to say, I have not had 10 seconds to call him out. He is an open therapist, and well intentioned

Thanks nana2 for the link about the decision for death penality cases.

You are probably right about the motion by Ann Finnell.

I was glad that Pam Bondi was responding quickly to the new ruling.

This is not a case in the federal courts. It is my strong opinion that state laws can differ from one state to another. If a state legislature or assembly passes a law, the feds need to stay out of the way unless the law is totally out of balance with good sense.

We have already given up more states rights than we should.

  28. melissab says:

There was talk at SM about Lee getting a girl pregnant and she either lost/aborted the baby and it upset Lee terribly(so it was said)around the time (before or after)Casey got pregnant. This woman happened to be the wife of Mark Hawkins, the military man Casey was emailing. Anyone know if this was true? I don’t remember this. If there was such competition between CA and LA for the rents attention, or just her jealousy, did she get prego cause Lee might’ve been having a baby and happy about it for a minute? If all is true how effed up is it that CA went after the hubby??? Well, we know her and that isn’t a stretch by any means to me. I’ll bet the slore has done unimaginable things! Oh, I’m so glad Caylee was so young while with Casey…can you imaging the situations she put her in??? She no doubt slept around with many men cause someone has to foot the bill and just what did those little girls eyes see and not understand? She had no baby sitter and no job. You can’t rob people for 3+ years and keep getting away with it.

  30. annals says:

Thanks for the response, Blink. I don’t think Lee’s testimony in the trial is red herring.

From the beginning, what hooked me on this case, was observing the Anthonys’ precedence of their lies over Caylee. As much as they loved Caylee; they consistantly chose the preservation of their lies over finding the truth of what happened to Caylee.

Cindy & George appear to use lies as their go-to tool and weapon. It’s as natural a tool to them, as analysis is to you or me. For Casey, I think lying goes even deeper; she is in the thrall of lies, it’s everything to her.

(In addition, Jose Baez is also an ingrained liar; so the lying is playing out quadraphonicly in court.)

I think Lee hates the lying, he’s told us in court that it has hurt him plenty. But he’s loyal to his family and to himself. This 3-way paradox causes some of his behavior to appear incongruant. That’s how I see it; but I can adjust if I’m wrong.

You know annals, I completely agree with you, and what an eloquent presentation of such a complex issue.

I should have clarified my “red herring” comment, I am referring to Lee stating Cindy told him she sent the PI’s to the woods off Suburban in October. I personally believe it to be the truth, but I think Baez and Cindy were well aware of what Lee would say. He says she did, she says she did not, the jury is left to decifer lies from liars, imo, is the perception.

Haven’t caught the podcast yet-will do in normal hours. And re your great photo- would recognize those eyeballs anywhere!

As far as the Anthony’s & the DT- their testimony and defense come off as confusing and unbelievable b/c imo, nobody can keep their stories straight. annals- I kinda agree with you. I don’t doubt Lee may ‘know’ some things, but I am not sure he was included on all the scheming that mommy & the others may have been up too. IMO, I think Cindy is the most guilty of mistruths and likely knows more about what exactly went down to our dear Caylee, next to Casey that is.
    My prediction- lwop.

lol, ty friend, and I agree.

  33. lizzy says:

Just a little bemused that so many of a collection of armchair-detective types did not know your appearance. Maybe it’s because this is a Caylee thread, and more about justice than investigation?

Regarding Jesse Grund’s testimony, I am lost on the significance of him indicating that he took whatever Casey told him as the truth. I mean, how could he? He’s the biological dad; he’s not the biological dad. He’s Caylee’s “real” dad either way; no, he’s not. etc, etc How can what she told him matter at all in the jurors’ eyes?

    lol.

To your Jesse point, it does not, thus the proffer and I believe he will not have to testify for the defense as anything he would offer is not relevant.

  34. cindeefromwisconsin says:

Did anyone else noticed this from Roy Kronk. First he said in August he thought he saw something that looked like a skull. Then he said in December that he lifted the bag and then looked down and the skull was at his feet. I am confused. In August the skull was already out in the open and he didn’t walk up to it, but when he did walk up to the area he didn’t see it until he lifted the bag and looked down and then saw it. Am I mixed up?

  35. JR says:

Blink, I will have to add to the pile of compliments your photo is collecting – you remind me of Belinda Carlysle in the “our lips our sealed” days. And again, Im so looking forward to catching the podcast. I keep thinking how eeeeeeeeasy the defense could of made things for themselves if they just had Casey own the drowning accident(no evidence to prove otherwise) and own the lies (cause she was scared and ashamed), then she could of even been a feasible position to take the stand. But then, why do I even care? At least this way, justice WILL be served. She’ll be found guilty, LWOP.

Annals: I agree with you, I like Lee too. When everyone used to diss him as “creepy” and “slimy”, I never understood why. He was a young guy just starting to establish his own life and then totally side swiped by this “Casey” shit. He was genuinely trying to help at the beginning while his sister lied and just wasted his time. He started out co-operating with cops, warning Casey’s friends and putting all his time into the investigation. The cops turn around and wire him, to be later aired on TV. That would kind of put me in a less cooperative frame of mind too. I think he kind of wavers back and forth between the truth (his natural way of being) and then joining his parents in the ‘front’ to protect Casey. I feel really bad for him, he seems kind of alone and his own life really kind of lost from this.

I know I am in the minority on this, but I believed Lee’s breakdown on the stand was genuine.

  36. Kleat says:

Good morning! Blink, missed the radio show yesterday, will it be posted quickly ’cause would love to hear it sooner than later if at all possible.

To George yesterday, the term Jackwagon comes to mind– he was quite ‘off’ his game, or in a less than comfortable pawn position. But whatever it was about, he did his job for the defense, whatever that was.

Did you notice George’s strange comment about the Caylee alive theme? Haven’t replayed, but he did almost touch on that notion again didn’t he?

What wasn’t going on, was explaining how Cindy knew George was there, the emails that indicate this, but also missing, was the ‘Hispanic woman with straight hair sometimes, curly hair others, the tattoo, the ‘straight teeth’, and why else George might have got to know this woman just a little better, for the story du jour.

Will they bring Zenaida in, and if not (which isn’t going to happen), can the state show what the family was trying to do rather than dys-funkt, in their rebuttal case?

    Jackwagons, all.

Will post podcast this afternoon when available and update in title for those on RSS.

  39. Judi says:

Have been a daily visitor of Blink for, geez, over two years now, maybe three. I have not posted recently but continue to read very single day, multiple times a day. Today, though, I have something to say.

In regards to the CA trial….

My heart hurts for little Caylee. I think that the ONLY person in her family that is putting her first is George. He is the only one who IMO wants justice (I think – this family is SO hard to read). He is the only one who I don’t believe has lied to try and protect Casey. He has his own faults, no doubt, don’t know if he had an affair or not, but IMO, that is not relevant to justice for Caylee. The rest of this family is just unbelievable. George seems to me to be completely subservient to them, especially Cindy. Speaking of Cindy, I thought Cindy was going to do the right thing, thought she was going to tell the truth, but alas, she did not. I think they absolutely should charge her with perjury. I realize this is her daughter, but for the love of all that is, her daughter cold blooded murdered her 2 year old grand-daughter, her only grandchild, and has destroyed their family. As they saying goes, wake up and smell the coffee there Cindy. And, DO RIGHT BY WHO REALLY IS INNOCENT IN ALL OF THIS – Caylee! Too bad Cindy can’t manage to do this….

    In regards to Blink’s pic….

WOW, I always knew you were a stellar person – a person of great intelligence, compassion, integrity, respect, dedication, loyalty, and many many more compliments that if I tried listing them all, I would still be here tomorrow typing :-) but I had no idea you had all that PLUS looks – you got it ALL going on there girlfriend! You are the complete package! You go girl!

OMG, very kind, but seriously, I am just me, plenty of flaws, trying to figure it all out and do my part like y’all.

My eyes are welling up . . . George is bringing it home for Caylee.

  45. Kleat says:

Thanks for the podcast info, Blink.

This is quite the morning. The jury just has to go back to this, (http://www.wftv.com/video/17934383/index.html) to compare what George said then, to what he says now. So what about his relationship with Cruz for whatever reason (nanny related defense at the time in some part)– Casey is full on ‘kill George’ mode now.

Not sure Lee’s emotion on the stand was real for Caylee, I think it was all about Casey, as was the memorial statements he made.

  46. Eloise says:

    Kleat-

I noticed George reference something about (pp), “still haven’t found my Grandaughter’s body.” I was like, oh? Do you mean physical (appearance) body or do you deny the body found was Caylee’s? It was late when watched, so wasn’t sure that I really heard correctly. But now that you say something, there was something weird in there.
