On Quitting Casey: The New C Word Is the New Quality Control
Orlando,
Read, shower, repeat.
Write, ignore call from editor, shower, repeat.
The OCD I developed during the case of the murder of Caylee Anthony by her TotMom, The C word, continues.
Anger over the death of an innocent child is understandable, fierce loathing when the accused is her Mother, is justified.
What is not, is the minutes of our day one devotes to the C word.
Angst is power, nobody will argue that. What is decidedly MOST powerful, is quitting Casey.
Images of fake checks with non-existant banks and non-existant companies are hitting the web to act as a barometer of the public’s interest and acceptance.
The porn industry rescinded an offer to C word, if that does not say it all, I don’t know what does. Let’s say they tend to be a less judgemental crowd on occasion.
I am calling you out. I am calling me out.
Quit caring. Quit Casey = Cashless Cow
If you want to be a color form in this girls chloroform play set, I cannot stop you.
What I can tell you, is that these payday wannabees have been Trumped.
Literally.
Between The Donalds’ hair being real and him getting a look up President Obama’s unmentionables bearing a birth certificate on a whim, who do these ilk think are going to give them “equal time”?
IT IS WORKING. REPEAT. IT IS WORKING. WE ARE WINNING.
Even Rupert Murdoch says “If a single person in my US offices so much as says that *%?#/’s name out loud it will make Rebekah Brooks stay in the big house look like a debutant cotillion, whatever that is.”
Here’s what happened:This is the most notorious and nationally covered case since The O word, and this felon and her counsel can’t get a legitimate network meeting.
Yep. The Moral leprosy crew are singing for supper. Industry insiders will tell you that the rumor mill has produced a steady call of public outrcy at the mere notion their firms would consider any deals with Cword or her defense team, and the existing artists threatening to walk if they do.
Simply put, it is tantamount to scheduling a tsunami in your lobby. Not even Don Draper could pull that off.
Ms. Folmer, reached from her latest promotion to washroom hand towel service had this to say:
Due to my journalistic integrity and because nobody told me we could not cancel a check after a verdict, I was wondering if I could fill a role in Jackass4 or Roller ball 10. I look forward to meeting the jury members, your among friends.
Late this morning, calls to THE BAEZ LAW FIRM for comment have not been returned.
A woman answering the phone at Jose Baez’s office who declined to be identified, told Blink, Editor In Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com:
Good Luck getting a call back, he has been sitting in his office for two days hitting the redial button to the News of The World Offices trying to get a live person on the phone. He is convinced he can swing a deal with somebody over there. Any Suggestions?
Sure, I answered, tell him to hit the O button, and just keep holding, they have a very busy switchboard.

The best way we can gain some justice fo Caylee is to ignore any story that involves CASEY…THANK YOU NEWS MEDIA for letting go of this! I’am pretty sure C sits by the T.V. watching and waiting for anything about her…kill her ego with the mute button. JB has convinced her she can get RICH..lets be the JURY now and do not REWARD for more lies! SWEET CAYLEE has no more fear, thanks to her mother, but Casey can have a jail cell the rest of her life if we let her.
I agree to not support Casey in any media “event” she may involve herself in. If you want to support a great cause and listen to a real story, buy Jaycee Dugard’s book and support her instead.
Blink,
I think its a great idea that your quitting casey. You might want to remove her name out of the tag line for more impact. Just a suggestion.
Nope, the catch 22 is ya gotta reach the right people to start the wave.

Mosaic, you don’t know how deeply I hope that what you say is true – that the networks are not scrambling after anything “C”.
As it is, the networks have so well proven themselves to say one thing and do another; like, “O, we’re not paying for interviews. We’re just paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for the pictures. That’s all.”
I don’t trust any of them to say what they mean and mean what they say so pay particular attention to the verbiage, which sometimes scares me.
NBC admits talking to Baez about an interview with Anthony but NO JOB OFFERS for anyone on her defense team. (48 Hours Mystery now has several “full episodes” of CWord up for viewing on its site. Two, most recent. Avoid at all costs! Just because NBC isn’t interested in hiring HIM doesn’t mean they’re not interested in the bill of goods he has for sale.)
ABC says, “We’re not bidding for any interview. Period.”
Not “bidding”? What the heck is that supposed to mean? Never mind. We all know what it means. What it doesn’t mean is that ABC hasn’t made an offer that wouldn’t be difficult to refuse. (Maybe I’m just paranoid.)
CBS says it is not courting or will not court Baez for a legal analyst position.
Now there’s an interesting word. “Courting”. One doesn’t need to “court” in order to date. Courting would be like offering live Maine lobster, and Dom Perignon, whereas merely dating is crab cakes and Ripple.
I’m going to have a really good time, over the course of the next year or so watching as all of these high profile people scramble to hire Baez to defend them, having no clue of just how incompetent he is! I fully expect to see him lose case after case, and end up with more than just egg on his face! It was by sheer luck (thanks to the incompetence of the jury) that he won for “C”, after all, and most certainly not because he was such a learned attorney!
But we can hope, can’t we; and hope is best accomplished with one’s hands and feet.
Pale Rider, excellent letter and thanks for the link!

No. They don’t ever stop. But, they’re only two, and we are many.
@ Angela… That is my point.. C has a very long history of the lies involving the Nanny’s name, where she was, jobs, and whatever else she told the police. Momma ate it up like it was real. The lies were not created just to cover up a crime- accident- or-whatever else I do not want to imagine along with escaping the wrath of Cindy.
As much as this group wont like to hear it , that works (ed) against the prosecution, as far as I am concerned. And really it should work against any civil suit.
The family is nuts, but that does prove anything.

Perhaps we need to quit the other C word…and throw in a G. We need to shut their production down too. Not watching = buh bye.
Ok, so if the Morgan’s intel is correct, and Casey is/was in the Bahamas, how did she get a passport without someone tracking down the records? Can this be a sealed application?
Or did she simply parachute??
Casey would not need a passport for the Bahamas if she did not disembark while her accomodations were at anchor. Just sayin’.
Well, I supposed that is true depending upon the vessel, no?

ORLANDO, Fla. — A nonprofit charity dubbed Bring Kids Home is under contract with the real-estate agent in charge of the site where Caylee Marie Anthony’s remains were found in 2008.
Recently, the group announced its plans for a walkway in memory of Caylee Anthony on the Suburban Drive lot in Orange County.

I was NOT looking for this but up it came on one of my ‘liked’ Facebook pages. I know there is passion regarding anything ‘them’ so thought I would post. Never hurts to get more people riled and involved for Caylee’s Crusade (in a positive way).
They want to ‘thank’ him, hmmm … since when do THEY ‘thank’ anyone??? And how long is the list of people already they should’ve thanked and yet never bothered? Too many to list so I won’t … but y’all know the names. The list is long. Chameleons.

Amy Whinehouse died yesterday and although I like her music, I have absolutely zero reaction to her death. I literally went “Hmmm.” Not that I know her, just usually have some kind of thought or response when someone I know of dies. ie) I bawled in my car when Michael Jackson died (K he was my whole childhood). Its also my bday in a couple of days and people are asking what Id like to do…absolutely nothing, could care less. (I’ve always looked forward to my mid-summer perfect weather bdays every year until now).
Not seeking therapy here cause Im not even depressed, just….flat. Could it be I’m emotionally spent and/or jaded from that damn trial? I only ask here because “non-blinkers” probably wouldn’t understand how that could possibly be.
If I had to guess you have compassion for what she wasted, as opposed to the fact that she ended up ultimately with the same fate as an innocent child- dead.
The difference matters, and sometimes numbing is our way of protecting ourselves and recharging our batteries.
Today, a Mother I care deeply for, buried her son, who had been missing for 2 years.
I am not the brightest bulb as a result if someone else has more than I got.
If I did not believe this is only one leg of the journey, some days I would go mad.
THat said, I absolutely believe that.
B
Thanks Blink. Wise words putting so much in perspective. I have gone into “recharge’ mode and the disconnect is kind of relieving in a way. And my current concerns are a blessing, considering the absolute forms of emotional torture that people like your dear friend is having to endure. I’m thinking you are referring to one of the recent cases you’ve been diligently working on. She is lucky to have you, your ability and strength. We are lucky to have you, our continuous inspiration and shining guide.
Thank you kind JR, yes, I was referring to Rachael George, mother of Chris George.
B
Blink I will help but have no idea where to start. I’m in Kansas.
Thank you for outlining so brilliantly how important it is to not click on cword links, news pages, searches, tweets, facebook. I had been trying to quit but finally it was like a light bulb going off when you mentioned algorithms! NO MORE reading or watching anything to do with her again – unless she’s dead of course.
The focus is now Caylee’s Law. Please let me know how to help. I don’t want to make more work for you. No law background but a quick learner. My husband & I run an online business out of our home so I’m somewhat flexible. The state capital is only an hour away if need be for in person issues.
LOL. I had the oppty to speak to Ms. NanaStacy this afternoon, and she will be posting her states info she has so far at her convenience.
I told her what awesome posters she has to flag my attention and thank you all.

Thanks, Blink! Do you need my personal email?
Is it this one with your comment?

Although I understand the enthusiasm many of you express for “Caylee’s Law”, I have reservations.
If “Caylee’s Law” had been in effect earlier, Casey would have spent more time in jail, but Caylee would still be dead. Zahra Baker would still be dead..
My main reservations, however, are that if these new laws are not carefully crafted and deliberated, there may be unintended consequences, especially in child custody cases. If the non-custodial parent is a few minutes late bringing Junior home, can the custodial parent use Caylee’s Law as an excuse to call the police? There are lot of sly lawyers out there than will find the loopholes and unintended consequences.
My concern is that, riding a wave of public emotional outcry, many state legislators will rush through poorly written and vetted laws with consequences that would not reflect properly upon Caylee’s memory.
Also, I would suggest that if such a law were passed in NC, it be called “Zahra’s Law”. I doubt Z’s killers will go free, but she was just as much a victim as Caylee.
GD-
You bring up excellent points, and I welcome them. I want a law/laws that can deter, assist in LE activity, and of course provide a means of punishment if violated.
The way to do that is do the diligence at hand, I agree.

Blink, post if appropriate:
Here is the response I received on July 20 from our local representation here in the state of PA:
Thank you for contacting me to relate your support for legislation that would make it a felony to fail to report the disappearance of a child. I appreciate your interest in this matter and I understand your support for legislation of this kind.
Your concern about the circumstances of the disappearance of Caylee Anthony are clear and I share them. It is troubling that a long period of time was permitted to pass before that child’s disappearance was reported to authorities, and I agree that consequences for persons who neglect to report the disappearance of a child should be severe. It is my understanding that legislation to address this situation will be introduced by my colleague, Senator Farnese, and I look forward to the opportunity to review the bill that he will introduce. I will keep your thoughts on this matter in mind as I do so.
Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me about this matter. Please feel free to contact me if I can assist you with any state matter.
Sincerely yours,

Thanks Morgan, and I agree with your post.
MSM are giving us lip service I believe. There are so many ways to compensate people without paying for an interview or offering them a job. That’s where we all need to be specific about compensation of every and any kind.
They may not be courting, but I guarantee they’re all considering a one night stand!
Caylee’s Law is a GREAT first step. It’s always the most difficult one to make. Rest assured, I believe it’s development is in proper hands and it will make a difference.
If Caylee’s Law were in effect the day she was murdered by the C word, maybe…just maybe, there wouldn’t have been 31 days. It could have been much less and perhaps lead to a solid conviction.
This law has great potential and unfortunately, is necessary.
@Annettee1
The fact that a defendant is a pathological liar SHOULD work against the defendant, not against the prosecution. What worked against the prosecution here is that the jury focused on the family NOT on the defendant. It was not the jury’s job to determine whether “the family is nuts” but rather to determine the crimes of the defendant. There was plenty for them to work with, had they followed instructions.
Mirror mirror on the wall..who’s the biggest Liar of them All!..lol….I managed to go 20 days without the Cword….What a struggle it has been..lol…Thank you Blink for the solace…MalefiCindy has taken the lead over “Penclick & Cellphone” Baez…lmao!….I’m going to wait awhile before I contact Juror #10….who I have worked with for many years at Verizon…I knew who he was, when he was being Voir Dired….I just want to know(if he chooses to talk about it)….What Happened?….PS…Since you have a great ear to the ground, any buzz on sanctions for the Liefense?

I agree with your concerns about crafting appropriate legislation. One of my concerns is the same as you expressed. Parents who are divorced often use children as pawns in a power game to hurt each other. It is IMO bad behavior, but it happens.
LE will need to be given some guidelines when applying the law. There should be some consideration for punishment if it is found that a divorced parent has attempted to use the law to harm the other parent or another caregiver.
Blink
What a beautiful front page on the Caylee’s Law site. And thank you for your comments about my research.
The post about Alabama is just some summary information. I have much more. I am working to get All the states legislative dates, the number of legislators, the existing legal code provisions that would affect the proposed legislation, bill tracking information via internet and more. A whole list of information to help us.
Texas is in the process of redistricting because of the 2010 census. If our state senator remains the same, I will have good access to him. His hill country office manager is a clarinet player and played with our band for a while.

July 25, 2011
Virginia State Senator Edd Houck (17th District) Monday announced he will introduce legislation to enact “Caylee’s Law” in Virginia.
The Spotsylvania politician’s bill, if passed, will make it a felony for a parent, guardian or caretaker of a minor child to fail to notify law enforcement officers within 24 hours after that child is discovered missing.
“Protecting children who are abused, exploited or missing must be a top priority of our state’s criminal justice system,” Houck stated. “The death of young Caylee Anthony was tragic, and the inability of Florida prosecutors to bring charges against Caylee’s mother for failing to report her daughter’s disappearance deprived them of an important legal tool.”
Caylee’s mother, Casey, was found not guilty of murdering her daughter. Although, she was convicted of providing false information to law enforcement officials.
Caylee’s Law has been enacted or is being considered in at least 32 other states.
“The intent of my bill is to allow state and local law enforcement to take appropriate steps immediately to investigate the child’s disappearance, before it is too late,” said Houck.
The 17th District consists of the counties of Albemarle, Culpeper, Louisa, Orange and Spotsylvania and the City of Fredericksburg.
Awesome!

Kleat, I concur with your observation concerning the mental health status of mothers and fathers and the safety of their biological children. With four percent of the population presenting with cluster B disorders, I imagine there are more children than any of us would like to think about whose primary caretaker have an undiagnosed mental disorder.
Research indicates that the natural development of children is substantially hindered in these circumstances. A child’s risk for death and injury is significantly elevated as well. Developing an effective method for the identification of mental illness in caretakers and implementing preventive measures for the emotional, mental, or physical well-being of these vulnerable children is long overdue.
Significant dynamics contribute to society’s inability to identify these types of disorders.
First is the fact that moderate to high functioning individuals with cluster B personality disorders rarely are detected by anyone outside the immediate social circle.
Second, family members, in spite of the reality of their daily efforts to understand the confusing world in which they live, utilize faulty coping mechanisms such as placating, enabling, and concealing in an effort to maintain a facsimile of normalcy.
Third, those outside the immediate familial realm, although they might sense something is amiss are often unable to identify the problem. While most states have a legal process whereby an individual can ask a court to conduct an involuntary psyche evaluation many are reluctant to take such a step due to lack of confidence in the reality and/or severity of the problem.
Fourth, characteristically individuals with these disorders have a “pseudo charming” public persona and can fool all but the most experienced mental health and criminal justice professionals.
No one seems to be looking out for the biological children of cluster B disordered individuals. This is a societal dilemma and for many, a personal dilemma with a wide range of disturbing and potentially harmful ramifications. Shalom
Kleat,
I believe US citizens don’t need a passport to go to the Bahamian Islands (100+?) but need one to get back IN! Most airlines want to see the passport before you leave so you/they don’t end up with a problem on the other side.
The*New*Word could have flown by private jet and gotten the passport later or travelled to some other country where one is not needed. (heehee, how about American Samoa, Baker Island, Howland Island, Guam, Jarvis Island, Johnston Atoll, Kingman Reef, Midway Islands, Navassa Island, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Palmyra Atoll, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands (St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas), and Wake Island.
And double hee-hee: The Bahamas are known for crime stats! The embassy website says, ‘snip’
“The Bahamas has a high crime rate. New Providence Island in particular…Pickpocketing and theft remain the most common…there has been a spate of more violent criminal activity in 2009. Three separate groups of tourists were held at gunpoint and robbed at popular tourist sites…ocurred during daylight hours and involved groups of more than eight. Other groups allegedly were victims of armed robbery at more remote locations.”

ABC News announced today it’s doing away with checkbook journalism, the practice of paying money to those who are interviewed. You can credit that change in large part to the embarrassment ABC suffered when it was revealed in 2010 that the Disney-owned network paid $200,000 to Anthony in 2008 to license photos and video. KY jumpin’ on this bandwagon too “Thank you for your recent e-mail sharing your concerns for the safety of Kentucky’s children.
I agree that we need to do everything possible to protect our children from harm. Kentucky already has a multitude of laws and regulations covering children’s safety and protection, and we can use this moment for a careful examination of those current laws. If the laws need to be strengthened then we certainly need to do that in the next session of the General Assembly.
Legislation has been prefiled for the 2012 Session which would require parents of missing children under the age of 12 to notify authorities within 12 hours or face a Class D Felony charge, which can carry a sentence of one to five years in prison. I will be studying this legislation to determine if this is the best way to address the issue regarding the safety of missing children.
I appreciate your comments and concerns. Please feel free to contact me anytime I may be of assistance to you.

Casey does not give a rat’s ass how we all feel. She is inhuman. We all can not relate to who she is, which is what what makes us human. We can try and try and try and try, but we will never understand. We need to stop trying, because to get into the mind of a sociopath is useless. I agree with others who say that Cindy created this monster. Cindy is a monster herself, who expected Casey to be perfect, while excusing her obvious failure to be so. I feel sick for this whole family. They will never be without their demons. God Bless Caylee we love you! MOO

‘Culver Assemblymember Introduces “Caylee’s Law” ‘
Assemblymember Holly Mitchell (D-Culver City) has introduced Assembly Bill 1432, dubbed “Caylee’s Law”, which would made it a felony in California to fail to report the death or disappearance of a child, aged 14 or younger, to law authorities within 24 hours.
Calls for such legislation have been inspired by the recent death, ruled a homicide, for two-year Caylee Anthony, who was not reported missing for 31 days. Her mother, while having been acquitted as of the charge of murder, has evoked outrage nationwide for failing to report her child’s disappearance.
“Law enforcement has known for years that the first 48 hours of a person’s disappearance are critical to the chances of finding that child alive and successfully prosecuting any related criminal behavior,” said Assemblymember Mitchell. Recent developments make it clear that we don’t have the luxury of leaving protection of children to others or ignoring well-founded suspicions.”
Although it is late in the legislative session to introduce new laws, Mitchell, a member of the Assembly Public Safety Committee and long-time activist on behalf of children, believes she’s well positioned to lead the charge to bring “Caylee’s Law” into reality. She looks to gamer bipartisan support and enlist child advocacy organizations in the effort to get the bill swiftly signed into law. Similar legislation is being considered in other states.
“Public awareness of the need for the bill is, tragically, very high now,” said Mitchell. “We are answering the call to get new tools in the hands of law enforcement so that a negligent person or abusive parent need never be free on a technicality again.” AB 1432 has been introduced as an emergency bill so it can progress through legislative process and not be subject to usual deadlines.
