On Quitting Casey: The New C Word Is the New Quality Control
Orlando,
Read, shower, repeat.
Write, ignore call from editor, shower, repeat.
The OCD I developed during the case of the murder of Caylee Anthony by her TotMom, The C word, continues.
Anger over the death of an innocent child is understandable, fierce loathing when the accused is her Mother, is justified.
What is not, is the minutes of our day one devotes to the C word.
Angst is power, nobody will argue that. What is decidedly MOST powerful, is quitting Casey.
Images of fake checks with non-existant banks and non-existant companies are hitting the web to act as a barometer of the public’s interest and acceptance.
The porn industry rescinded an offer to C word, if that does not say it all, I don’t know what does. Let’s say they tend to be a less judgemental crowd on occasion.
I am calling you out. I am calling me out.
Quit caring. Quit Casey = Cashless Cow
If you want to be a color form in this girls chloroform play set, I cannot stop you.
What I can tell you, is that these payday wannabees have been Trumped.
Literally.
Between The Donalds’ hair being real and him getting a look up President Obama’s unmentionables bearing a birth certificate on a whim, who do these ilk think are going to give them “equal time”?
IT IS WORKING. REPEAT. IT IS WORKING. WE ARE WINNING.
Even Rupert Murdoch says “If a single person in my US offices so much as says that *%?#/’s name out loud it will make Rebekah Brooks stay in the big house look like a debutant cotillion, whatever that is.”
Here’s what happened:This is the most notorious and nationally covered case since The O word, and this felon and her counsel can’t get a legitimate network meeting.
Yep. The Moral leprosy crew are singing for supper. Industry insiders will tell you that the rumor mill has produced a steady call of public outrcy at the mere notion their firms would consider any deals with Cword or her defense team, and the existing artists threatening to walk if they do.
Simply put, it is tantamount to scheduling a tsunami in your lobby. Not even Don Draper could pull that off.
Ms. Folmer, reached from her latest promotion to washroom hand towel service had this to say:
Due to my journalistic integrity and because nobody told me we could not cancel a check after a verdict, I was wondering if I could fill a role in Jackass4 or Roller ball 10. I look forward to meeting the jury members, your among friends.
Late this morning, calls to THE BAEZ LAW FIRM for comment have not been returned.
A woman answering the phone at Jose Baez’s office who declined to be identified, told Blink, Editor In Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com:
Good Luck getting a call back, he has been sitting in his office for two days hitting the redial button to the News of The World Offices trying to get a live person on the phone. He is convinced he can swing a deal with somebody over there. Any Suggestions?
Sure, I answered, tell him to hit the O button, and just keep holding, they have a very busy switchboard.

Forgot to wish you Happy Belated! Hope it was all you wished for.
Glad you ‘got’ my post about JP’s sanction on ‘crossing the line.’
Hopefully he will mete out more accountability in coming days.
Thank you so much for contacting Canada’s governing body for Caylee’s
Law. Daunting task, but if anyone can do it, it’s you!
Just have to chime in – I first thought of C U Next Tuesday for the C-word, too!
RAGDOLL: My birthday is also July 26th! Same bday and both having family ties to that same random obscure little “Corner Gas” town…how crazy is that?
Happy belated

“trout pout”, roflmbo! That’s about right, ragdoll … perfect description of what it is, my friend! Couldn’t have said it better myself! {;)

It’s uber cool to share a bday with you! Happy belated my friend!

How kind of you, Morgan. Thank youfor your sweetness XO!
I’ve seen a few who are absolutely opposed to Caylee’s Law. Call me naive, but I thought any legislation that could protect our children is essential. I wish people would remember that the initial Law needs tweaking and refinement.
…and for those who are adamant this law holds them accountable beyond reasonable expectations, y’all can thank the C word. Thank the monsters who have no problem remaining silent when their children are at extreme risk/missing/DEAD (Baby Gabriel…Lord, the list is way too long!!!!). It’s about time ‘amendments’ are extended to the victims, not just the murderers themselves.
Regarding the C-word mask…personally, I would be scared to wear it. After the verdict, I saw a C-thing look alike who was run off the road by a woman who thought she was c-thing…
I would be afraid of someone shooting me.

Holy Hannah, the C U next Tuesday….my husband is going to LOVE that one. You were so missed XO.
@ Word Girl,
Thank you my dear friendy! I heart you to death!!!! <3
I did get it and felt you were misunderstood. As for contacting provincial and federal officials, it was more of an honour than daunting. I'm praying my email (which I can't take any credit for the wording…I plagarized from someone else's message after googling for a sample…*eeesh*) will reach the right hands and hearts. I'm hoping it will affect our Children's Services dept. which over sees foster care, day homes, daycares, etc. That's where our children's rights fall into the cracks of our system and it's needed to be overhauled for..like…EVER!!!! Nothing like this is implemented so I KNOW it's a necessary law.
Thank you for your encouragement WG! It means the world to moi. BIG BEAR HUGS~~~
So one of my daughter (and my) favorite movies is “Pete’s Dragon.” Everytime I hear the song “Every Little Piece” I can’t help but think of Baez, and the C-word. Give it a listen… great movie! “Money, money, money by the pound.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPDfJekMyBU
Whoops… I meant Baez, Mason, and the C-word.

We have more of a telepathic relationship.

Ok….that is just too funny…and honestly, if a relationship is necessary with an assclown, maybe telepathic is for the best????
Your humour is a saving grace. Ok, so sometimes some of it goes over my head. I’m a gull of bull but you keep me in stitches even if the laugh’s on me. Doy to the power of 3.
Now for your next act?
O, I am on a new assignment and it is daunting. I will work on something funny, we will need it until I am done, lol.

Re: the latex mask on e-bay, I recall that when the Channel Tunnel was completed the commissioned boring machine was displayed on the roadside close to the Eurotunnel entrance with a big ‘For Sale, one careful owner’ sign. It was actually a good advertisement and eventually it was put on e-bay and a ridiculous figure was bid but as a previous poster stated, the worst that can happen if the sale isn’t completed is for the person to be banned. No big deal, easy to re-register.
NBC news is still claiming it did not – and will not – offer money to the C-word for an interview. They now claim there is no money on the table for her, NOR are there licensing arrangements. “IF” they do interview her, it will be under ‘their standards’…
Uh huh. Right. So what are they going to do? Pay someone else (JB perhaps?) who then has an agreement to pass the money to the C-word? I don’t buy it — they are simply arranging things in such a way as to maintain deniablility.
Sources at ABC say there was indeed a bidding war between NBC & ABC…
My hope is that our boycotting efforts are being noticed! Is this why NBC is trying so hard to make these claims???

blink i am reading this on my kindle i just got for my birthday. how cool is that?
To: Ragdoll- Belated Happy Birthday! You are the best!
Ragdoll
Happy Birthday to you and JR.
Your last paragraph is how good people overcome evil. They join together to promote changes to society via what ever method is appropriate.
There are people who will always take an argument against promoting a particular law. Sometimes I think that these people simply argue to oppose ideas that could lead to progress.
No law is perfect. All situations cannot be covered. If we had a perfect society, there would be no need for laws. However, we don’t have a perfect society and we do need laws to make people do the right thing and punish bad behavior when they don’t.
A project I am working on because of Caylee’s law, is to research the law of every state regarding the protection of children. What I am finding is disturbing. Some of the state codes are so poorly written that it is difficult to determine classification of crimes and their attendant penalities.
It appears that the legislators have used language so general that it is left up to the courts and case law to determine a crime. We the people need to bring this type of behavior to an end. If our legislators cannot fulfill the job they were elected to do or have allowed a young inexperienced clerk to write legislation and rules, the people need to remove them.
I have long advocated a Court Watch System where interested, caring people spend time watching the proceedings in the various courts. This is exactly what we were doing via TV in the Cword’s case. Based on what I am finding in the various state criminal codes, we need to be paying attention to what our lawmakers are doing as well.
Laws should be written as simple and straightforward as possible. Using convoluted language in law allows a special class to control things, not the people.
It has been a very long and busy year and so we finally took an opportunity to hit my favorite beach destination nearest to home. The break from reality was needed in more ways than one. Happy belated birthday to both Ragdoll and JR!
I heard Cleatus T Judd on HLN radio this afternoon regarding the song he wrote for Caylee. I was near tears once again as he said that if (insert C-word here) was offered $1m for her interview, then he hoped to be able to walk into the headquarters of protect.com with $1.5M. All proceeds that he receives for writing “She’s Going Places” will go to protect.com. He said that the song is his protest sign and that he wants the focus to remain on Caylee. He told C she could put on some make-up, dress up and head to her nearest country bar tonight to wrap her leg around a pole, he doesn’t care. Caylee has been lost in this and he wants to make sure that doesn’t happen. I encourage all to download the song or simply donate to the organization of your choice to protect kids or just keep plugging away on legislation. Caylee’s purpose in life has only just begun! I know some had questioned the motivation for doing the song but he is doing it for all the right reasons.

Somehow we are neighbors in this great state! I was feeling helpless on being able to pursue anything here with the legislature out for two years so PLEASE lead me on another path to SOMETHING I can do! I’m back from my little trip and rejuvenated and ready to work.
Even my 13 year old SON keeps asking me when the day is that we will wear a heart for Caylee. That sweet, precious, adorable child hasn’t even begun to live her purpose on earth! She truly put the meaning in action for believers like me who know that my own children are not mine. They are on loan to me from my Father above. All four of them have a special and unique purpose. While they do not “belong” to me, I cannot imagine life without any of them and I watch each day as they impact the lives of those around them. GO TEAM CAYLEE! She may not belong to us but we are her remaining voice and strength to fulfill her destiny.

Very interesting comment. Years ago, I used to work for the provincial government. There was an internal campaign to implement the use of ‘plain English’. I haven’t worked there in years…I’d be curious to know if it’s still being utilized. IIRC, the objective was to make written and verbal communication straight forward and more understandable. My therapist always says (and y’all gotta know how challenging this is for me) to keep it to 10 words or less. I have to admit, it works with my son. I’m done preachin before he can tune me out.

________________________________________
ATG,
In a similar way, on Kyron’s thread, the discrepancies between policies for even simple things such as background checks for school volunteers have been apparent. One school in that area apparently has the policy that background checks are needed if someone plans to volunteer more than 3 times. What kind of crazy rule is that?
I’m not sure how much of that is state law, or local school district policy. But maybe while you’re looking at the state laws regarding the protection of children, you can keep your eyes open for statutes relevant to that issue.
I gather that you are at least partially retired (?), or at least not currently raising young children, and greatly appreciate your using your valuable time to help in meaningful ways different than your previous career.

Your Post at 7:40 & 7:44 P.M.
You need to know that I am older than John McCain. Yes, I am retired.
My oldest grandchild is just past her 33rd birthday. So, other than still teaching private music lessons and playing in a community band, my time is my own.
However, I keep myself active. I worked as an engineer in industrial construction and then designed and built real-time control systems using computers and leased telephone lines. The beginnings of the internet were just getting off the ground during that time. I am the type of person that loves a challenge.
In 1977 when Tandy (Radio Shack) released their first personal computer, some of the guys who bought them wanted to be able to repair them. Tandy did not furnish a schematic or block diagram so they prevailed on me to reverse engineer that little simple computer.
This is exactly the type of thing that I am doing in regard to the laws affecting children. Today for example I started on the State of Maine. I am not a lawyer, but I have taken law classes directed mostly at commercial contracts. Therefore, I know how to find the sections that should apply. Maine falls into the same class as Arizona for poor draftsman ship of their laws. To date, Alabama along with Virginia stands head and shoulders above those that I have researched.
Your question about the background checks could be a part of the law regarding education in the state of Oregon, or it could be simply a local school board policy. I have not kept up with the Kyron case so it could be Washington instead of Oregon.
Most states have a .gov internet website that contain the state constitution, legislature or assembly make up, bill tracking and the various sections of the state code (usually about 45 sections) including some local government code(ie.counties).
I agree that we do need a complete house cleaning in Washington D.C. We need to eleminate the permanent political class and remove the career beaurocrats. That is the plan that our founders used to build the country. This began to fall apart after the Civil War and by the time Woodrow Wilson became President, we were in deep trouble.
I am very much aware of the comment Benjamine Franklin made to the lady in Philadelphia when she asked “Mr. Franklin what have you given us? His reply was a “Democratic Republic madam, if you can keep it.” He well knew how hard that would be.
There are some days I read your posts and I think to myself, this gentleman could really be my Poppa, lol, if I did not know better. I mean, if you ever tell me you took/are taking a calligraphy class I will likely fall off my chair.
I am excited to have such strong resources working towards Caylee’s Law.

Say, do you happen to remember the brand of beer that was in Todd Macaluso on the beach in the buff, movie? Wouldn’t happen to be the same brand as in the recent jet set audio or video clip that is apparently being shopped around?
How much would a half bottle of beer being shown in a post-non-conviction video of the c word, be worth in the advertising world?
Right now, not a red cent and it would be a great oppty for the beer company to sue them for trademark infringement should they use the likeness of their product without permission.

I don’t know anything about your possible skill sets. What job or educational experience you may have.
Yes, the State of Texas has completed the 140 days of legislative activity for the current session. They will be meeting again in January 2013. In the mean time, there are activities that the state senators and represenatives attend. This means a time for them to listen to the people. Bills are often placed on the legislative calender months ahead of the session.
You are quite right about your children. All children are on loan from GOD. It matters not that you are the biological parent in the grand scheme of things. What does matter is the type of love and care you give to you own as well as to others.
Be patient with yourself. It is evident from you post that you want to help bring about good for Caylee. Think about your skills and something will make itself known. It could be something that requires a new skill to be developed. A new challenge and new opportunity.

Your post regarding writing the laws in plain speak would be defeating the purpose for all those attorneys holding offices in our formerly fine government. This way, they purposely write them in a mix-twisted, multi-decipherable manner so that they can rely on all the loopholes they have placed between the letters…….you know, the ones in the blank spaces ,,,,Kinda like Wormholes. Also, a good many of our nations laws are written by outsiders, as in LOBBYISTS. I’ve always thought there should be LAW AGAINST THAT. How else could they actually write laws that are 10′s of thousands pages in length ?

Word Girl – I probably didnt come across the way I intended. I understood your “free speech” comment.
Trust me when I say I am on Caylee’s side…and I am not against Caylee’s law. I signed the petition for Texas.
I read an article and happened to agree with some things the author said, such as “it wont stop people from harming children, and in Casey’s case, it wouldnt have stopped her from doing what she did” If she was going to toss the law aside and murder her own daughter, other laws, built to protect children wouldnt have mattered at that point. If she was convicted she would face, at the very least, life in prison. So not reporting her missing wouldnt have saved her anything. The good that would have come out of having to report her missing (which she wouldnt have done anyway) is that we would know how Caylee died.
Criminals dont adhere to laws. Only law abiding citizens adhere to laws. That’s something us normal people dont get. We create laws around the way WE think, not the way criminals think.
Does anybody think for one second that before Casey did what she did that she stopped to contemplate what laws she was breaking?
I get what you said about Free Speech…we have that right. I was just making the point that even Free Speech isnt really free…it does come with consequences.
In today’s world it seems like saying the “right” thing has the punishment consequence, and doing the “wrong” thing is praised or rewarded. Go figure.

Your need not fall off your chair. I have never taken a class about calligraphy. However, I have watched others do it and always thought is was something beautiful to learn. I can single stroke letter with the best and can freehand old english styles. That comes from four years of drafting classes in high school and college. This is prior to any concept of CAD (computer aided drafting). I still have my german silver drafting tools. Most young people today would be amazed to see such a set. And I have my old slide rule as well.
So, I’ll just remain your virtual poppa. Thanks for your comments as always. Who knows, we as a group at BOC may create a real push for doing something that helps our nation return to its roots and in the process make a safer place for our children.

(snipped)
“Strickland’s office told WESH 2 News on Friday afternoon that it was his intent that Anthony serve a year of probation after her release from jail.
The Orange County Clerk’s office tells WESH they are processing the paperwork to amend Anthony’s probation status. Strickland is expected to sign the clarification order Monday.
The order then goes to the Department of Corrections, which will begin the process of setting up supervised probation.”
http://www.wesh.com/casey-anthony-extended-coverage/28708803/detail.html
hahahaha I thought that Judge Strickland said that for the check fraud charges, that she would have a year of probation AFTER getting out of jail and I heard that right!
http://www.wesh.com/r/28708803/detail.html
I was wondering why she could hide and go out of state etc if she was on probation. She is one of those people that needs to be on probation so that she has to answer to someone. aww poor thing might have to come out of her cave.?
WPG
Your comment about open containers on an airplane or the tarmac. It is
Not an FAA regulation unless the person is a cockpit crew member. However, it is usually a state law. In fact, if there is a long delay to take-off, some airlines will allow a push-back from the gate and the cabin crew can serve liquor.
NaNa
You are so right. Laws will not protect children from a person who does not respect them. Criminals learn to defeat their value system in order to do their deeds. It is the same thing as people thinking that LE can protect them at all times.
Laws are a deterrant to bad behavior, but cannot eleminate it. What laws do is provide a process where society can protect itself from future bad acts or original bad acts if the perp. has prior knowledge.
Sparkle
I worked many years in a large corporate environment. Many times when we wanted to get something approved from some management person who was not technically savvy, we would use language they did not understand. The method was commonly known as “baffel them with BS”. That is the way that some of our legal profession operate regarding laws and regulations.
I know about the word Pshaw too. An old southern slang word and perhaps it is not limited to a particular area.
SusieB
Thanks for the links. I have put them in my notes. They may include the current law as well a regulations. Regulations are supposed to be based on the law. Sometimes, there is a large disconnect between the law and the process to administer it.

Blink…how about some updates on some of your other cases you have been tracking.. ;o)
I dont want to even look at the mirror photo at the beginning of your post here because I truly am writing the c-word off. I have not listened to any news whatsoever since the verdict. I have turned the TV off and opened two great books. It has actually been refreshing to get back to basics.
Starsky, will do. I am working on a few new cases, and next week enjoying some family time in between.
B
I hope this article isn’t a repeat if it is I apologize.. Also many new articles in the Fla papers regarding Casey’s probation etc.
” ABC is ending its controversial practice of paying subjects so-called “licensing fees” for photos and videos in exchange for exclusive interviews. ”
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/07/26/abc-will-no-longer-pay-li_n_909642.html
If the court sets probation for the Cword regarding the check fraud, it will mean that Orange County will require her presence for a year.
She will not be able to go anywhere outside the county without permission from the parole officer.
No movies, TV interviews or other activities that require an appearance elsewhere.
I am glad to see that Blink has chosen two good books to read. Two or more at a time should sooth the soul. Everyone needs a break from daily routines from time to time.
oops, I think that was Starsky, I am reading evidence and depositions on a macabre case to the nth degree I was asked to give my opinion on. Case related book reading scheduled for next week
B
WPG!! Just wow!
This afternoon I’d read a couple back and forth reports and decided after the state was not about to go after the probation, that all would be lost, since Judge Strickland earlier said he was no longer involved in this case.
Then I wondered if anyone really wanted c word back in the state, if probation programs meant some responsibility to protect…. etc etc.
I think no one expected her to be out at all, even with an accidental death, she would/should have been culpable for something in the way of neglect. And of course, the jury couldn’t know about previous convictions, so guess everyone forgot, then went into shock mode.
Bob Kealing’s latest posts indicated maybe Richard Hornsby had something to do with this, or is that taken out of context? (hard to know unless one has followed a twitter thread for awhile)
I suppose the c word’s law and beer people, will fight this, saying she was done her probation in jail, but in any case, ret’d judge Eaton reports that
“… Anthony’s attorneys can ask the Department of Corrections to allow her to serve probation in another county or even in another state.”
