I hear Judge Perry also called Baez out AGAIN for his conduct. Says he should have reported the error. Not surprised he didn’t, he’s like a kid trying to skate away with something he knows is wrong.

Her address will be sealed for her safety by the court. That won’t last long, I see a lot of moving around in her future. At least she’s getting some kind of punishment, even though it’s not for the crime we were hoping she would be convicted of.

  7. NLB says:

The local Target stores will have to assign a security guard just for her.

  8. Mom3.0 says:

anyone read the 18 page report?

Considering she was just found guilty of child abuse and/or neglect and failure to protect her daughter from harm leading to death- it seems only fitting that she be on probation.

I guess she wont be wistfully strolling down any Orlando sidewalks slurping up Slurpees- at least not any that she writes a check for… according to Baez, she will be too scared to run about- he fears for her safety now that she has to be in Florida.

    Thanks for the update Blink
    AJMO

Fears for her safety so he organizes selling her location? What Ev uh.

Sorry I did not embed the 18 page report, I had to upload the update remotely.

    ;)

  13. A Texas Grandfather says:

Looks as if the judge did the right thing. She should be in Orlando to serve her probation. I hope they put a tracking device on her so they can keep her from slipping away and then telling one of her usual stories when they find her.

Mr. teenager lawyer also got some of JP’s adult conversation.

This move of Baez not advising the court she started probation in jail is shifty and he knows it.

HHJP is pretty harsh with Baez in the probation report. Does anyone think this could be a foreshadowing of the Contempt charge? When will we know if it was ever handed down?

Hey Blink … you called this weeks ago.
    Supervised probation. :)

    Sweet.
The karma train is just beginning it’s trip your way baez and c-word. Choo-choo!!
Hope that Mason (the arrogant, disrespectful asshat) will stop his mumbling now – just last week he called Judge Strickland’s order “stupid”.

The 18 page order is a must read. MOO
Judge Perry gives Baez multiple smack downs (especially in pages 8-11 of the order)
    http://www.wftv.com/pdf/28848050/detail.html

(snips from pages 8-11 of order)
“The defense acknowledged in Court that Mr Baez knew about this error, but contended he did not have any obligation to inform the Court.”

“Our system of justice should never be in the position of rewarding someone who willfully hides the ball.”

“No attorney should conduct himself in a way that impedes an order of the Court.”

“It’s clear that the Defendent and her attorney’s knew she was supposed to start her probation on release from the Orange County Jail. Despite this fact – they took advantage of a scriveners error.”

“To seek to us a scriveners error to achieve an end that was against the Courts intent … strikes at the very foundation of our justice system.”

A small victory, but a victory nonetheless. My local news reported “C” was voted the most hated woman in America. IMO, having to sleep with one eye open and always look over your shoulder IS a prison sentence. She may have freedom, but she will never have peace.

  18. susaneastman says:

Oh goodie!! I hope she is uncomfortable…she deserves a lot more than that little slap on the hand. Oh please Blink, tell us there is
no way she can get out of this…

they will appeal it but they will lose.

  19. Sharma (WA) says:

I have a feeling she’ll be serving a life sentence. Outside the prison walls.
Then she’ll end up on Celebrity Rehab like Amy Fisher.

  20. NancyS says:

I am not surprised at this at all, it is the RIGHT and LEGAL thing to do! If they don’t put this on the news, she is not in harms way as no one will even know she is there unless she herself wants to tell people. This is getting more than rediculous, C is not a God in any way. The media needs to move on. they keep making it so she can make money every time they bring her name up on the news.

c word still got away with murdering her daughter. IMO, there’s nothing to celebrate. It’s a slap on the wrist, albiet the best JP could do given the circumstances.

What I want to know is how ITS probey office is going to force IT to get a job. There’s perhaps 2 -3 ppl who’d feel obligated to hire IT, but honestly, are we going to see this happen? c word has no clue what an honest day’s pay is let alone honest. I’m reserving my applause until I see how it goes down, right to the epilogue.

    Seeing is believing.

I am sorry Mrs Blink but I have to get this out, you say they would lose on appeal. Everything always seems to go the c word way. In 2009 when you said that a plea deal may be close I believed it and it never happened. I would not be surprised if she won the appeal too.

Criminal cases are a fluid situation, I am not Zoltan, but they will lose this appeal.

  35. everyone's a suspect says:

    RE: Breeanne Rodriguez

Our streets and sidewalks should be safe for our children, but the reality is…they are not! Anyone who allows a 5 year old and 3 year old to play out front unsupervised in the world we live in today is guilty of child neglect, failure to protect and maybe some other stuff! My daughter was never allowed to be in our front yard, on the sidewalk or in the street by herself. If she wanted to skate, ride her bike, or climb our trees, WE WERE OUT THERE WITH HER because you just never know!! Perverts will not stop trying to get to our children…it is our duty as parents to make sure they don’t.

  36. Survivor says:

    @Sat5sz…You are SO right.

Just in from a very long morning of fundraising for football equipment for our youth sports program and getting ready to leave again to go work for our other non-profit which provides college scholarships. It will be a long evening – but we have a lot of fun! It’s easy, y’all! Go out and get involved. I tell all of my coaches following the end of each certification meeting – “Now go out there and make a difference in the life of a child”. Keep your eyes open, your heart in prayer and NEVER be afraid to call CPS (or your local equivalent). You might not be “the one” who saves the child but you might just be “the one final” call in a stream of callers that gets the needed attention. I have been that person. It was frustrating to deal with the system but then I found out that the multiple calls from several concerned parties (none of us actually SAW physical abuse, which apparently is a requirement in Texas for removal – but many witnessed the unimaginable verbal abuse involving words that no child should have to hear from their mom) that they were finally able to remove him from his mom’s custody and he is a much happier, healthier child today.

It does not take much to get involved in your community. Many, many non-profits like ours BEG for volunteers and never seem to have enough. The most rewarding job next to parenting/grandparenting is coaching/teaching. Making a difference and leaving a positive impact in the life of a child that will carry with them for the rest of their lives is invaluable. It’s not uncommon to walk in the door of any local store and hear, “Coach XXXXX” as loud as they can be. It’s fun! The hugs are wonderful and keeping up with where they have gone and what they are doing is as satisfying to me as it is postive/memorable for them.

RIP, little Breeann. I wish I had been able to encounter your sweet smile on our softball field, playing with friends and having a great time is a safe and fun environment. Whatever it is, you didn’t deserve it and my heart is hurting for you today.

    Sorry to be so long…

There is nothing like the feeling of having a group of young college age people walk up to you and tell you how much they appreciate the way you impacted their life or having a group waving at you across the checkout lanes of a large Wal-Mart store. Then you know that you were successful.

I am certain that most who post here have similar stories where they have helped make children be more loving and caring of others in the community. To me, that is our goal of being a part of society in order to make it better. It is a big job and to me it is job No.1. We do it one caring step at a time.

@ Blink’s comment “somedays I just hate people”…me too. There seems to be a plethora of horrific crimes and atrocities committed against innocent children. Makes one doubt the human race at times. I know this is off topic, but felt I had to share it anyway. Hope it helps someone out there, and it certainly renews my hope and faith in humanity. It shows true love, faith and grace under horrible circumstances, and the power of a positive attitude. This child was loved and cherished to her very last breath, as ALL children should be. Their story is so inspirational to me, and I think we all could use a ray of hope these days. Thanks Blink for all you do. :)

    Childhood cancer SUCKS!

I lost my 14 yr old niece to ewings sarcoma 7 years ago this May, she was the 28th person in the US to receive a full stem harvest which had us waving to her through the window for 4 months.

While she was battling her disease, she started a national charity that has put Icee machines in childrens hospitals all over the country. That little old soul of hers humbles me to this day, and I strive to be more like her when I grow up. I gave her eulogy in front of 2500 people, the only time in my life I remember being nervous. I desperately wanted to say exactly the right thing to have people accept the light in her heart into theirs.

Thank you for reminding me it is not that I hate people somedays, it is that I hate their actions.

    Kisses to my sweetpea :)
