Morgan Harrington Murder: FBI, Metallica and Virginia State Police Ask You To Help Them Find Her Killer
Morgan
Reported exclusively on www.blinkoncrime.com, Morgan’s alleged attacker was tied via DNA to a sexual assault in Fairfax, VA in September 2005.
With the help of a multi media campaign, the FBI, Virginia State Police and Fairfax Police are asking for the publics help to catch her killer.
Metallica offered this public service announcement:
Metallica Statement On Harrington Case
FBI Press Release:
Authorities Launch Multimedia Campaign in Morgan Harrington Murder Case
Murder Suspect Linked by DNA to Sexual Assault in Fairfax City, Virginia
FBI Washington June 13, 2012 |
Today, federal, state, and local law enforcement launched a multimedia campaign that includes two enhanced composite sketches of a suspect in the 2009 murder of Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington. The unknown murder suspect is also connected by DNA to a 2005 sexual assault in Fairfax City, Virginia.
Authorities recently enhanced the composite sketch created in 2005 from a description by the sexual assault victim. One of the composites shows the suspect with facial hair, as the suspect was described at the time of the attack. The second composite sketch features him without facial hair.
The two attacks were connected through DNA after a forensic profile was submitted by the Virginia Department of Forensic Science to the FBI’s national DNA database. The search found that the suspect in the Harrington murder investigation matched the DNA profile of the attacker in Fairfax City.
The multimedia campaign includes a public service announcement by Metallica lead guitarist James Hetfield appealing to the public to come forward with information concerning the Morgan Harrington investigation. The composite sketches of the suspect are being featured on bus shelters in Washington, D.C., as well as on digital billboards in Richmond, Virginia; Roanoke, Virginia; Washington, D.C.; and in 23 other states along the East Coast. Social media outreach and alerts via Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, along with a website dedicated to the Harrington case were also launched Wednesday. Podcasts are now available on iTunes, and radio spots are airing to further raise awareness of the ongoing investigation. The multi-pronged effort is designed to develop new leads and renew the public’s attention in the attacks. The campaign implements techniques similar to those that have led to the arrests of the East Coast Rapist as well as Ten Most Wanted fugitive James “Whitey” Bulger.
The Jefferson Area Crime Stoppers is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Morgan Harrington’s murder. In addition, the band Metallica is adding $50,000 to the reward, for a total of $150,000.
Morgan Harrington Murder
On the evening of Saturday, October 17, 2009, Harrington attended a Metallica concert at John Paul Jones Arena on the University of Virginia (UVA) campus in Charlottesville, Va. At approximately 8:30 p.m., she left the arena and was unable to re-enter the facility. She was last seen hitchhiking for a ride from passing traffic.
Harrington was dressed that night in a black T-shirt with the word “Pantera” spelled out in tan letters and was wearing a distinctive Swarovski crystal necklace made of large crystal chain links, which investigators have yet to recover. Harrington’s “Pantera” T-shirt was found on November 11, 2009, in front of a row of apartments along 15th Street, NW near Grady Avenue in Charlottesville. Harrington’s skeletal remains were later discovered on January 26, 2010, in a remote field on an Albemarle County, Virginia farm along Route 29. A camera that Harrington had in her possession that night has never been recovered.
Sexual Assault in Fairfax City, Virginia
On the evening of Saturday, September 24, 2005, a 26-year-old victim was walking home from the Giant Food Store located on the 3700 block of Jermantown Road in Fairfax City, Virginia. The suspect grabbed the victim from behind as she walked down Rock Garden Drive toward her residence. He then carried the victim to a grassy area behind a maintenance shed, where he sexually assaulted her. The suspect was last seen running from the area.
The suspect is described as an African-American male with black hair and facial hair at the time of the attack. He is approximately 6’0” tall and was believed to be between the ages of 25 and 35 years old at the time of the attack.
The public is asked to review this information and consider whether they know someone who generally fits this description, who lived or had ties to the area around the times of the assaults, or who may have been known to spend considerable amounts of time in those areas.
People who know the suspect may not believe that he is capable of committing these crimes. He may not necessarily have a violent criminal history. Because investigators are in possession of DNA evidence that can either positively link the suspect to his crimes or exclude innocent parties, citizens should not hesitate to provide information, even if it is just the name of a potential suspect.
The following agencies are cooperating in the investigation of these crimes: the Virginia State Police, City of Fairfax Police, University of Virginia Police, Charlottesville Police, Albemarle County Police, Albemarle County Commonwealth’s Attorney, Virginia Tech Police Department, George Mason Police Department, and the FBI.
Law enforcement agencies are asking anyone with information to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or the Virginia State Police Tip line at 434-352-3467.

Looking back over old posts here , old topics. Who is Eric Howell’s Brother or half brother / step brother ? Didn’t he practice in a band that was set up at the Sutherland house that burned on the day Morgan was found ?
Also , who is Eric’s father ? Didn’t I read that he hunted on the farm ? Or that he was in trouble with the law about hunting ?
Many Thanks …
ChrisM, did you post those maps two years ago? I think those are the ones I remembered (Jan. 17 post). I too had had a WOW moment (2 years ago) when I saw the photos and how easy it would be to get to where she was placed from Blandemar Farms/the deserted building: The vehicle tracks in the field! At least, on the maps it looks easy–given the right vehicle and a certain amount of body strength to get her over some fencing and into a remote fenced-in patch of land where “no one would ever find her.” Plus, as Blink has pointed out, her body could be observed from a hilly vantage point by the murderer. Why the need to observe? 1. Pleasure 2. To monitor activity around the body and perhaps to take action if necessary. People at BOC have suggested there was a connection between the fire nearby and a fireman’s overnight trip to N.J., immediately following Bass’ discovery of her body. I think it seems logical that the murderer had knowledge of the lay of the land before placing her there, perhaps as an itinerant construction worker. But Blink and LE seem to think his connection to the property goes deeper, further back historically; he is/was a longtime resident nearby in other words. Why did he choose not to bury her? The weather (rain, cold) or laziness or trying to leave the scene quickly or wanted to observe the body…
Pardon the length. All JMO.
Alabamamom, I do remember the “intimate meetings”/booty calls that occured with personnel from Albemarle PD along Red Hill Rd. I also remember EH/ registered sex offender. His half brother (his mother remarried) was in a heavy metal band that was rumored to have practiced in the basement of the Sutherland Rd. property that burned down the morning Morgan’s body was found. So many twists, turns and coincidences in this case its uncanny.
I have always taken what was said about the terrain of that back field on Anchorage Farm and its accessibility in earnest. However, I have to agree with Redly, that it wouldn’t be too difficult to get back in that area under normal conditions. I’ve been to Foxfield Races and numerous other field parties in the area along the same longitude with people who were driving low clearance front wheel drive, 4-cylinder vehicles. It may not be likely that whoever placed Morgan was operating a vehicle with those specs, but I think that Redly makes a strong case.
I don’t know the answer as to whether or not the perpetrator had previous knowledge of AF or if they just used common sense and no fear in entering through the main gate.
Even if he did access the gate from the front, l don’t feel like the location was chosen randomly.
Interesting query above from Alabama Mom regarding connections to Sutherland Rd. rental. Please tell me that we are getting closer to an arrest.
Still here for Morgan & her family & friends- nice to see all of you here too.
Thanks for the link to those maps ChrisM
Anything is possible it seems.
I dont know where the person accessed the area. I dont know when or how Morgan was placed there or why
It looks like from seeing at the maps that it might be easy to get to the area…. but its easy to forget that the terrain is uneven- and there were fences.- and at least some of those trees would have had leaves on them- or would have lost leaves possibly covering the “trails” .. and when Morgan was placed there it was likely in the cover of night.-
and unless Morgan was alive and walked in on her own then the placer had to manage these obstacles with a dead body in tow – not an easy job- not for someone who randomly chose this spot and couldnt be sure of the terrain of the fences and wouldnt know for certain that a neighbor or a farm worker with a watch dog etc wasnt around & may see lights from a vehicle or a flashlight- and come running with a shot gun or hear the vehicle and spot the placer coming or going and take note of it….
Again anythings possible but what is the likelihood? IDK
AJMO Peace
ps I would think a grower would not leave a dead body on “his” land to risk exposing his business or risk losing his grow area-
the only way they would leave the body is if it was someone sending a message to the grower JMO
Olivia, I didn’t post the maps before.
I think the hay in the field back then was probably tall enough that it would be hard to see Morgan’s body from a distance? I agree with Redly, too, about it being easy to drive in that area across the field.
It’s possible Morgan was placed within the tree line and was moved by animals or water, but I doubt the water part.
Does anyone know what the “red truck theory” is that’s noted on some of the maps?
Blink, if you can say, do you know whether one of the Anchorage Farm workers really did stop an African American man driving a black Jeep on the farm the previous summer and the driver lied and said he was a cousin of Mr. Bass?
I assume LE checked the unoccupied farm house for evidence on whether Morgan had been brought there or killed there before her body was placed in the field?
My gut is saying the fire had nothing to do with Morgan’s murder.
Chrism
The farmhouse was occupied. There was also an outdoor sleepover a week later I covered.
Yes Alabamamom … there were pictures of the gate, the trail, and what it looked like up there; totally secluded. Even on these maps you can see the site, and another, smaller one near it. If there were ever hunters or young explores around there, you know they used this area. Plus, I understand LE enjoyed it as well!
ALERT: This could be sooo wrong !!! But, earlier I found this: Lewis Level — William Morris Home — Lady Blanca Rosentheil Home, Albemarle, 1790-1820, 1962, 1976-2000. Then gone. Earlier, I had found something about it being gone in 1991 and Blandemar Farms started(?). I’ve tried the GIS-web on Anchorage Farm but it’s down for maintenance!!! Before, Bass had plots separated and IDed, like 81-A, etc. Not that that is correct; just an example. At any rate, this site was one of those. In 2011 he gave a bunch of property to the State of Virginia. Still, this may NOT be the place listed that I found, so there’s that.
Also, all three (or four, if you include Anchorage Farm Road) would be hard for anyone to assess. The red truck in the picture shows how fording the creek would be. I believe there is a creek in the tree line from the Blandemar Farm location too, and we don’t know what other type of terrain.
I believe it indeed took some one with intimate knowledge to maneuver there. They’ve traveled those exact fields and woods many many times, — and, they put Morgan over the fence for a reason, too.
Blink, I should have specified – I meant the unoccupied farmhouse in Blandemar. The one on the maps link that shows the tire tracks going through the field from the house to close to where Morgan was found.
I snipped this and brought this over from The Help Save The Next Girl, as today is 1-26, one of Morgan’s anniversary dates. So, in memory, and in support of her family.
Morgan Harrington’s remains were discovered 3 years ago, January 26th, 2010, on Anchorage Farm. Dan and Gil Harrington will travel to Charlottesville on Saturday, January 26th, 2013 to remember Morgan on the third anniversary of that discovery. Unless thwarted by severe weather, we plan to arrive at Copley Bridge at 2:00 P.M.
Our visit to the bridge is also the opportunity to remind the community that a murderer remains at large and Morgan’s murder is one of a number of unsolved crimes in the Charlottesville area. We will share a brief statement and be available for questions if you are interested in marking this day with us.

ChrisM, Blink has confirmed recently that there WAS an African American man who was stopped around the time of the discovery of Morgan’s body who claimed to be a relative of Mr. Bass.
I believe B has also said that it is unlikely (can’t recall why) that the body was moved by animals or water.
I believe there was a red truck sighting by one or more eyewitnesses.
I think the killer knew where he was going and that the area would be deserted, but beyond that–close or historical knowledge of the farm and its occupants?–I don’t know. I just don’t know enough details to make that call. But we have to take seriously that LE and Blink HAVE made that call.
@ChrisM
Got it, just as an fyi I am familiar with that home, you cannot see the hollow where Morgan was found from there.
@Olivia
Fwiw, I stand firm in my opinion that sketch , with or without help placed Morgan where he did with intimate knowledge of AF, and likely legacy information as I wrote previously. When one considers those factors, we have to consider that another legacy property , the owners of which were two of the three largest land owners in Albermarle county has a fire, and then some sort of backdraft scenario simultaneous with the discovery of Morgans remains, it has to be excluded.
It has not been to my satisfaction.

I remember seeing survival huts in pictures taken on AF as well. I hope LE went thru all the frequent guests of the older farm on AF as there seem to have been many.
@ Christina Stoy
I take what you say seriously.
As I said, I am not in command of case details or facts so I cannot make a call about just how well Sketch knew the farm, but I believe he certainly had prior knowledge of the farm and surrounding land. I believe that he knew where he was going with Morgan’s body.

Bless the Harrington’s. Praying there’s a solid arrest long before the 4th anniversary.

I hope this worked …. It’s the Harrington’s behind the Anchorage Farm sign … it’s significant.
I believe this land was a part of the original patent to the Lewis’ … going to Col. Charles Lewis and son, Howell Lewis … then on to the Carpenter-White families. (Teel, Anderson, Ellis, and Johnson as well – somewhere around there.) William Morris had a connection too.
I think the FB Post with the Harringtons shows they know there’s a connection to the location, too.
Can we get an Amen …. and some of the ‘locals’ back on this board??
@Rose 7
I wrote an entire piece on the legacy of this land.

lol, thank you J.me
B
WOW! THANK YOU BLINK and J,me!! I have stayed up hours and hours trying to find something like this … and with a Dell, I-Pad, and now a MacBook Air ~~~~~~ none of which I know how to use. It’s not even LOL for my family any more! I don’t know HOW I missed this post J,me; maybe one of my many crashes?
Who ever – how ever – the perp (s) accessed the spot Morgan was found, has traversed that area a lot; NOT just casually either.
Whoever put her there is the perp (s) themselves – or a close relative to them. I think the Harringtons know that too.
You know Blink, every time I read that, I find myself remembering that many of the locals spoke of Law Enforcement having booty calls out there near AF. That coupled with the fact that people who worked security at JPJ Arena that night had to be connected to LE in some way, really makes me wonder about what connection LE may have had to Sketch. An informant, a family member, another officer? Something stinks to me at the moment and can’t lay my finger on it.
Q- my hand to God, when I first began research of Morgan’s case, I came across a google image of a AC cop car parked in a culdesac of an unfinished home construction site (I am not going to specify the location, VSP had this info years ago) but it was pre- the 7 officer smack down. What I can say is that to my satisfaction, I do not believe that part of the investigation is sufficient. It needs an outside party of authority, imo.
B
Thanks for linking the prior post, J, me. It says that it was the summer of 2009 when a carpenter had the interaction with the guy driving the Jeep.
I’ll be the odd woman out and say that I don’t think the specific historical aspects/grudges of Anchorage Farm/slavery was directly tied to whomever placed Morgan there. Just about all of the large farms and estates around Charlottesville have similar history. It’s a beautiful area with much ugliness under the surface.
A perp who had a general resentment against the wealthy and entitled? Very possible.
There are so many possibilities for why and how the killer or his helper knew the area. On the other hand, if they knew it so well, wouldn’t they know hunters used the farm to hunt and that they would be likely to eventually come across her body?
For what it’s worth, I think the killer having ties to LE should be fully explored.
Well B – Things definitely are not sitting solidly on my plate, they seem to be rolling around at the moment. I’m thinking that you aren’t the only one who isn’t satisfied with that portion of the investigation. Perhaps Lt Rader wasn’t happy either. Just sayin…..Just my opinion as always….
The question that nags me is if Sketch is related to Anchorage Farm so he knew to take Morgan there in a “time of stress” then where would he have taken the girl he attacked in Fairfax? Based on what we know from the Fairfax crime, it seems like he would have just left the girl in Fairfax at the scene of the rape but with Morgan he felt the need to take her somewhere that bought him time (I am sure he knew she would eventually be found but going to a more secluded site buys time as it did in the Alicia Reynolds case). So why did he feel the need to buy time in Morgan’s case? Or is there some other difference in the two crimes that led to him going to AF?
This is about the offender.
Morgan was not planned, she was an opportunity. This offender’s impulsivity will do him in- Take for example Israel Keys. This is a textbook escalation pattern. Sketch is not even atypical.
He is just a creepy voyeur, drug-addled freak show who came upon a girl who was likely kinder or more compromised than he is outwardly.
This is even less than Keys pulling himself into a coffee drive in window- He went to where he knew.
I am convinced of that. This is a solvable case- what is in the way is the fact that the immediate diligence was not preformed.
B
We’ve been asking this for 2-3 years–are there hidden connections to local LE? I would love to see the photo Blink is speaking of. I’m sorry I missed the gathering at the bridge.
So, in response to B’s latest post, was the Fairfax attack more planned? Less impulsive? Would he have killed her and taken her somewhere also, a planned placement/disposal of the body? I assume so, since he showed her his face–why would he do that if he did not intend to kill her? And by “escalation” you mean that he has moved (by October 2009) to unplanned, uncontrollable impulse attacks leading to dropping the body in a known spot?

Please take a look at this sketch. Does anyone think he resembles the sketch connected to Morgan?
Yes, except for the eyes. The eyes slant down and Sketch’s eyes do not. Facial shape, hairline, lips, nose, and skin are pretty similar.
@Ode,
I don’t think the two sketches look similar. The bucks county one appears almost hispanic with a wider jaw. The fairfax one looks like a light skinned black man – with the jaw perhaps too thin. just my .02.
at this point i am almost 100% sure that the police put out the sketch of “sketch” to throw everyone completely off. this is definitely tied to local law enforcement.
Cosmo I also believe Morgans case is tied to local law enforcement.
Not sure about Sketch, but too many unanswered questions. The illicit hook ups by the AC cops right near where Morgan was found. The Colby Eppard debacle. The what looks like with holding of evidence and sluggishness of the investigation. The eagerness to place Morgans abduction off campus. The whole security angle and the police who moon light as security. The heat that the retired police man Joe Radar got
from the police dept after he voluntarily gave an interview and made a public appeal to anyone who knows the perp, is the perp, or knows anything or had anything to do with Morgans abduction, rape and murder.
There is not a day goes by that Morgan does not cross my mind. Sigh…..
Praying for justice for Morgan, peace for the Harringtons.
It’s just that “Sketch” doesn’t fit the natural path we seem to keep coming back to. Someone above linked a great article about new DNA stuff … connecting families, and such. However, at the end, the writer cautioned about it being synthesized and then could be planted. Ok … whacky? But something here is just not adding up, and just if – if Sketch is a ruse, it’s the perfect never solved crime. And, that would be damned convenient indeed.
Who were the 20 year renters on Anchorage Farm after Mr. Bass bought it? That’s something surely the press could find out? Who were the tenant workers living on the farm working for the last of the Whites, right before Mr. Bass bought it? What about the Jeep reported by a construction worker?? Mr. Bass’s brother? Come on, why isn’t LE looking for him? Duh? This guy (s) KNEW every inch of this place — or a person with some strong emotional ties to the murder (s) did.
Who was at JPJA …and had to be back there by a certain time? If we can think of these questions, you know others have … and THEY know who did this and how. I think several have it figured out but can do nothing, as they’ve been told their clue has an alibi, it’s Sketch (see his DNA?), so just shut up. (Maybe not in that way or those words)
We need to find out who started the cover-up … who wants to keep it going, and why.
Like I said, I may be whacky … but to me EVERYONE is a suspect — until this case is solved. Nobody gets a pass; Morgan’s life was worth at least that much.
I have known for over 3 years the identity of every renter at AF- nothing there.
I do believe that there has been several LE errors in this case, and there is a dotted line to possible LE misconduct or worse. I am not suggesting the sketch is LE, he is not.
B
Blink,
Do you feel comfortable stating whether or not this guy is on the periphery of LE?
I drove by the Giant in Fairfax for the first time since it was disclosed that there is a connection between that case and Morgan’s. I was surprised how open things are there. It’s a fairly long stretch from the grocery store to the apartment complex by foot. However, l did notice that it is a very multicultural community even by Fairfax standards, FWIW. Lanier Middle School is really a big middle school campus. I can’t help but wonder, again, if there was an athletic event THERE that night in 2005. It’s not as close to George Mason as I had thought either. Although, someone working an event might choose the Giant store as a pit stop after finishing a shift at the Patriot Center on his way back west on 66, for instance. I’m sure it’s been confirmed who the vendors were that night.
My point is that I agree that this guy is an opportunist more than he is a stalker. He would have ample time once the victim Fairfax victim began walking to drive away in the general direction that she was heading in order to set himself up within a vantage point to see EXACTLY where she was heading and make his strike from where he parked his vehicle.
All over the place with this. I don’t write well by phone.
I do not.
B
Blink, please don’t ask me to go and find it, maybe I don’t even remember correctly, but…didn’t you say early on that you thought there was some kind of LE connection? Security w/LE connection?
I think it is possible, obtuse or other, I cant say.
B
For anyone interested Netflix has added The season with heavy metal mystery.
I am not so much wondering about a connection with LE so much as I am wondering about a connection to UVA-
AF had connections to UVA-
I realize this isnt a huge stretch nor is it even necessarily mean anything as even Dan Harrington and Alex have connections to UVA-
some of the witnesses are directly related to UVA
Even Norma Parson with her NP and then her family member have connections to either JPJ or UVA security
it seems only the BK and possibly Kickee had no connections to UVA
We know UVA police first talked to witnesses we know most of the witnesses statements were filtered thru UVApd IIRC the basketball players for one
To me I think it is easier to hide in plain sight when you are not hidden at all -
I think it is more likely that the perp is in some way connected to UVA rather than LE. The whole town is connected to UVA in some manner so I am not pointing fingers at anyone, this isnt some ahah moment or anything
more just thinking aloud…
AJMO
Peace
*state not town
So many of us are still out here waiting.
I would appreciate it so much if the good investigators of LE would pour as much effort as they can to find out who did this. I hope they do because I see this public has really given this case alot of thought hours. So many people have. I hope they know it. Just making those maps, and people searching every you tube and Blink knows the numbers of people that have put time and effort in to this. That has to make good LE want to work even harder to find this monster.
I know how bad I want him away from among us.
waa?
B
And today is another day with no news. sigh
Trying to get back up to speed. Has it already been mentioned that Anchorage Farms is up for sale?
http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/1864-Anchorage-Farm_Charlottesville_VA_22903_M68507-59081?ex=VA558464898&source=web
Does anyone know if anything was planted/growing in the field near the site where Morgan’s body was found– the field is part of Blandemar Farms, the one with the farm/out building… aerial views seem to show vehicle tracks (maybe tractor) through the field. Would help in determining whether driving through this field to get close to the site where Morgan was placed was possible, or would have been noticeable (e.g. a path of corn has been crushed).
It is a hay field. I believe you are seeing cow paths in the aerials—at least that is what I saw on the satellite photos.
The satellite photographs did show areas where cattle grazed , however the area from the back of the property that was where the 2 story bank style barn with the green metal roof was located , showed definite vehicle tire tracks that went down the center area where there were no trees that led to the area of trees where Morgan’s remains were found. What type of vehicle I do not know .
Lots of talk about some sort of secondary vehicle being used to transport Morgan’s body to the final site, if she had indeed expired by that point in the night. Four-wheelers, gators, golf carts, dirtbikes, etc. Does anyone else have problems with the sound that any one of these vehicles might create (at a time when it is absolutely necessary that one be covert), and the loading/unloading time required? Or is the consensus that the houses are far enough apart that one wouldn’t have heard anything?
The ties to and history of Anchorage Farms has been discussed by LE, by Blink, and by Blinksters. What about the ties to and history of the surrounding land? Has the distant and recent history of Blandemar Farms been studied? Especially the lot with the barn/outbuilding on it? Depending on how you look at it, you could say that Morgan was placed just across the property line– off of Blandemar and onto Anchorage, with access via Blandemar. So the perp could have been familiar not so much with Anchorage Farms, but Blandemar– knowing where to travel on the property, being confident enough to do it, and knowing the lay of the land just outside the perimeter of the property.
dda’s Post from January 27, 2013 at 7:30 pm caught my eye. I also found it extremely interesting, Sketch, as unorganized and chaotic as the first crime was, appeared to show a planned/methodical effort to dispose Morgan.
Research indicates that signal homicidal offenders typically kill the person and dispose the body in the same location (unlikely in this case). Serial offenders were likely to use multiple locations and dispose the body in a remote location (has already been proven in this case).
Also, moving a body and disposing it in a secluded location is very risky for an offender, and usually indicates a high degree of criminal intelligence and experience. Offenders who hide the body also often orchestrate a dramatic crime scene, indicating that they displayed an impulsive and aggressive homicidal act.
Finally, sexual murder offenders with organized characteristics and who were in a relationship at the time of the crime are the most likely to transport a victim to an alternate location after the homicide.
The point being, Sketch is no dummy and appears to be a high-level functioning, socially adjusted, person in society.
Yep, he is a criminal serial ritualistic sadistic offender as I have been saying for years.
There was a lot of time lost, imo, due to the inexperience of VSP dealing with this type of profile, imo.
B
Cat, Blink, do these types act alone or with an accomplice?
In varying stages they can have an accomplice, yes. I personally believe that was the case here in some area of this crime.
Statistically, and keep in mind there is VERY limited study of this offender- 72% chance of an accomplice.
You have heard me also talk about compliant partners. 90% chance of this for this profile.
I was not a fan of Rader’s letter, and you will not find a LEO that was, but I DO believe he meant well, and that also supports the compliant partner, imo.

If the limo driver was waiting until the end of the concert for his fares perhaps he would have had time to give Morgan a ride to Blandemere/Anchorage farm and still be back by the end of the concert.just a thought…perhaps he was a day/wkend groundskeeper at the countess Blandemere home and had access to a truck kept there or for that matter anyone else who last saw morgan who had to be back at the end of the concert…bbp, curtsey duo, jpj vendors, police…thinking perhaps someone local to n garden who worked 2 jobs one in ngarden and one at uva?
I may have missed this but have they totally ruled out UVA employee Matthew Beaulieu who was carrying the “rape kit” and possibly going to rape or even kill in late 2012 when his victim broke loose? I know his composite doesn’t match Sketch but he appears to be a truly dangerous person who may well have raped and killed.
Any thoughts?
Did Matthew and/or Sketch get to DaShad Smith in early December of 2012?
I can’t help but think this disappearance may be tied to Morgan’s murderer.
Again, any thoughts?
