Kyron Horman Missing: New Years Eve Settlement Ends Horman Marriage
Portland, OR- In a surprise court hearing, Judge Henry Kantor signed off on the agreement between Kaine Horman and Terri Moulton Horman to end their marriage this afternoon.
Details of the agreement have not been released publicly, but according to KGW, a financial settlement to include child support and a lump payment to Terri Horman has been reached.
In what can only be described as a bitter family court feud- the divorce matter was last in court on December 16th to decide if the Horman landscaper, Rodolfo Sanchez Estrada -who alleges Terri Horman tried to hire him to murder Kaine Horman at a lunch meeting – would testify.
Judge Kantor has not yet filed an order from that hearing but Attorneys for Terri Horman were granted a continuance from the pending temporary custody motion scheduled for December 19th and 20th.

That possible Kyron sketch you created is spot on of what I picture in my mind as well. I had never thought the one created by the LE artist was right, as I only see parts of faces (I have no full facial recognition) and to me, Kyron features are Quinn/Desiree’s. Just because K had custody doesn’t mean the offspring looked like him (even his body type was more Q/D – thin, and frail).
I think the wrong pic released years ago steered people away from finding an alive boy because it looked really nothing like what he would look like…
And about the chin out stance that was common for Kyron… I think that might be because his glasses would slip down his nose and he’d tip his head to peer out of them… which also would make his ears appear lower set (tho I do think his ears are lower set than standard anyway).

I don’t think it was always like this, erose. I believe there has been a gradual eroding of morality in this Country over the years. Of what’s “acceptable” and what isn’t. Not that there weren’t always some bad apples in all professions, but I think the bar has definitely been lowered. There was a time when any professional was not only required to conduct themselves properly while at work (i.e., no reading porn mags, no AM website visits on work computers, etc.), but they/we were also expected to be on the up and up even when they weren’t at work. Professionals were required to live up to high standards both on and off the job, be role models. Not anymore.
I don’t know if it is the result of a lack of religion in people’s lives or if it stems simply from the 60′s and 70′s when free love and everything that went with that came to life. I can remember growing up in the SF bay area and watching SF turn to topless bars and soon thereafter bottomless bars as well. What were once high-end nightclubs, where people met and danced, even the movie stars would go there, then they became basically porn clubs.
I don’t know what happened, but morality has become almost non-existent. For instance, how does a judge decide that it’s okay for a man to take picture up a girl/woman’s dress? That judge threw morality at the window. IMHO, that means HE has none. How does one become a judge with no morals? IDK, but yes, things are very different if you ask me, and the onset of the internet certainly has progressed things far more rapidly IMO. An AM website (or service back then with no internet) would have been done behind closed doors and very, very hush-hush. Now it’s advertised for cryin’ out loud, and just look how many people participated. Acceptable now. Very few people will lose their jobs over this exposure, and if they do, it won’t be because of the morality of it, it will simply be because they were doing it on company-time, IOW costing the employer $$$$.
@erose, I heard about your earthquake up there. I wasn’t sure where it was, so thanks for the link. (It must have been stuck in my head, because I dreamed we had a big one that night.)
You know, I always thought Kyron looked like his brother, but after I super-imposed Q’s features over Ky’s, and saw how well the fit and lined up, I realized just how much they really DO have very similar features. Their head shape is slightly different and their mouths are different, but I think we can look to Q, for nose and chin and very similar eyes.
It made me wonder why the age progressed image looks more like a young Kaine Horman, when it’s very, very obvious that Kyron takes after his mom, just like little k, takes after her mom. (Dominant genes took over in both cases.) So, why on earth did they come up with and *everyone* accepted the *official* age-progressed Kyron image? At first they even left off the predominant mole on his face. (Actually there are two.) It’s almost as if someone does not want this child found (and we know TMH had nothing to do with the age progression, so not her). Very weird to me. Could anyone here imagine an age-progressed little k, that did not look like her mother? Why doesn’t Kyron’s? In sane stuff going on here. (Btw, I don’t think Ky’s eyebrows would be quite so thick *yet*, but I ran out of steam and time to reduce them a little.)

Your point about Kyron and the glasses is an astute one. Yes and yes, if Kyron were ever to be out in public why would KH or anyone else be thinking he would not have his glasses on if his sight is that bad that he would trip or bump into things? So there’s another good question, why does KH keep suggesting to all of us to look for Kyron sans his glasses? If anything, he would probably have on prescription sun-glasses so that no one could see his eyes. More weirdness from KH, that simply makes little sense.
I swear this case is just so bizarre. Where is Kyron? People need to be looking for an older Kyron, not a younger Kaine Horman.

I didn’t draw the picture. I took one of Kyron’s and added some of his older brother’s features. Converted them to black and white, added some grainy texture so it would look more like a charcoal sketch. Then I added a curly wig and printed out the picture. Then, I drew on it only to shade the pieces I’d added together and blend them, then scanned it back into my computer, made a few more adjustments and voila an age progressed Kyron. (I’m no artist, though I do know how to blend makeup quite well, LOL.) The hardest part was finding a public photo of both brothers looking forward in generally, the same direction.
The FBI has forensic computers that will do all this stuff. I know darn well there’s someone out there who can do this way better than I have and I wish someone would update that child’s missing poster for his 13th birthday! Maybe I should print one out and then add that image and post it around. Heck, it would probably be torn down, because it wasn’t *official*.

I know of some of the history with TG of WS (yes she is FOS), but this interview, done today, about Kyron’s case with Klaas and Kelly is bizarre, but revealing, from my POV.
A few lowlights. There are many.
First: Headline- “… KYRON HARMON …” – seriously
TG: “Evil mean stepmother”, (later “mean evil stepmother”)
Klaas: “The epitome of the evil stepmother”
Klaas: “She has never been cooperative”
TG: “The lack of evidence is evidence in itself”
Klaas: “I wish we had some more really aggressive prosecutors in this county that don’t have to have an open and shut case before they are willing to take it to trial”.
(or it might help if they had any evidence at all)
Kelly: The number one goal is to search Kaine’s property
Kelly: Trashes Kaine because he keeps denying property searches. “Every time we do a search we formally request his permission … He denies us every time.”
TG: Goes along with the trashing, then starts backtracking. It becomes apparent she wants to interview Kaine also.
TG: Calls Kelly Terri. (Yikes.)
How can Klaas and TG discuss this case and know so little about it? This appears to be one big self promotion for the two of them. “Murder Business”?. They both come off as charter members of the HC. Kelly comes off as the most reasonable of the three.

Thanks for posting this quizzi- I apologize for holding it but I wanted to listen to it in it’s entirety so I could comment and I did at my first oppty.
I do agree with you that Kelly was the most responsible portion of the interview with the exception that she KNOWS Kaine’s property has been searched over 11 times with BOTH MCSO and FBI assets and to not mention that when directly asked her opinion as to why he turns their non-LE sponsored searches is unethical and misleading, imo. ESPECIALLY when one considers they are funding same by requesting public funds.
I have had so much respect for Marc over the years and what he has built in his foundation that for him to say the things he did about the “facts” in the case is unfortunate. But then again, if he were to admit that there truly is no credible information to create a search grid that has not already been searched- now that would be adverse to his interests. Also interesting that nobody asked about the alleged comments from DY about what was found and turned over ‘as evidence that tied to TH” in the last search. I guess if this activity were not “in lieu” of true escalation efforts within those directly charged with investigating his case I would say- no harm no foul if there is potential to locate Kyron and people are willing to donate to that possibility as long as they are informed. However, we have the issue that the search itself is geared to a defacto suspect and NOT to SZ.
Therein lies the problem.

During today’s 500+ mi drive, it occurred to me the important part of Kristian’s grandfather defense
was that he remembered how it felt at the tome he was molesting the girl. I assume he meant
physical arousal and the associated feelings of pleasure (for which he’d feel responsible and guilty).
So I suggest he was an older lad at the time, preadolescent anyway. That suggested he was residing with Horman and the grandfather was Melvin, or Kristi’s father. Imo that person was also a jeopardy to Kaine’s children.

That seems to be the tone of expectations Neil set for his boys, despite the fact Neil himself in youth was a portly apparent nerd. Anyway, perhaps a Warrior was the idealized male image conveyed to the boys growing up by Neil.

Even though there are still four months to go in 2015, police say the amount of gang violence for the year is already the highest it’s been since they started tracking these types of incidents in 1998.
“There’s not one reason that you can point to to say this is why,” said Sgt. Pete Simpson, a police spokesman, regarding the reason for the spike in violence. “One of the things we are seeing a lot of on the street is generational gang violence and gang members. These are young men whose parents, particularly fathers, were involved in gang activity 20 years ago and the children have followed in those footsteps.”
“Most of the gang violence isn’t about drug territory,” he said. “It isn’t about, you know, rivaling drug crews. It’s about respect or disrespect between each other, some perceived slight that occurred.”
“Gang violence is one of the most difficult crime stats to capture,” said Andraé Brown, Ph.D., an associate professor at Howard University who’s been studying gang violence for 20 years in Portland, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. “It is complex. It’s never one thing but it’s easy to fix. … You will see a decrease in gang violence when you see an increase in school attendance, right? You’ll see a decrease in gang violence when you see more people being gainfully employed. You’ll see a decrease in gang violence when people are engaged in pro-active peacekeeping efforts.”
Simpson also said one of the biggest problems is that witnesses in gang incidents often don’t talk, and the city doesn’t have a witness protection program.
There are, however, multiple ways to provide officers with anonymous tips, which he encourages people to look into.

My reason for posting this is simply frustration. Frustration with schools, businesses, citizens, taxpayers, the justice system, you name it – I’m frustrated with it.

Babies in strollers, dressed in gang colors, and children raised to believe it was their job to get revenge for incarcerated or murdered family members. I had one student who by age 17 had 3 babies under the age of 1 with 3 different teenage mothers and they named all 3 babies the same name – his name, the third (III). I asked him why (in 1995, I really didn’t know). He said, “Because I’m probably not going to live to be 21 and I want my family name to go on.” He didn’t.
I didn’t come out of college prepared for this. We got no resources from PPS or the city to help these kids 20 years ago. I wanted to go stand on the tallest bridge in town and yell “Stop!” but I knew no one would hear me. I wish I could have done more – most of the time I was just expected to do the usual high school counseling duties which were far removed from the world beyond the school bell. Some of us tried.
The hardest part then, other than attending so many funerals, was that the kids just could not believe there were any other choices. The hardest part now, is that it seems nothing has changed.

I was just looking around the internet for any postings on Kyron’s case and noticed Scared Monkeys has nothing since August 15 as well. So what is going on? Kyron’s foundation not posting, BKH facebook too, I hope cd is right and that this means there is finally some sort of lead.

Just saw a story on the local news (KEZI) about the weekend search plans for Kyron. They interview Mark Klaas, who talks about the searchers looking for bug activity and that is why they are supposedly bringing in the dogs. No mention of where. Claims 60 searchers. Some old footage of hounds.
Newscaster commented that LE investigators have followed TH’s path that day. (Tho they don’t say this search has anything to do with it, whatsoever, you know people will take the implication as tho it’s related). The newscaster claimed TH was the last one to see Kyron alive. They show TH footage walking in court halls.
Too bad someone isn’t looking for a live Kyron using TRuth’s version of his updated look. I think that will be the best action to take in order to find this missing child.

There was a short little skype-type interview with Marc Klass this morning on the news KEZI. He talked about how intense this search will be, because they’re looking for “bugs”, “bugs that aren’t usually found in that sort of terrain”, or spots that have been “dug up” (as in by some animal). So, this tells me that they are indeed looking for a dead body.

So, they scouted on Friday, searching with Volunteers today, but Sunday will only be family and dog teams. Why is that? Why no volunteers on Sunday?
The interview with Kelly is interesting, she points out she never “first hand” saw Terri be mean to Kyron. She bases her opinion on “from what I’ve heard”, and “accounts” she’s been told.
Why is DY and family making such a big deal about not being able to privately search Kaine’s property, when Kaine Horman himself stated publicly on Dr. Phil while sitting right next to DY, that he would be happy to let LE search his property anytime, and that it has already been searched by them numerous times. She states, he’s never allowed dogs to search the property. Didn’t LE have dogs when the searched his property, seems I remember a photo on Olive of one, but maybe I’m mistaken? I can’t believe they wouldn’t have, but like I said, I can’t remember anymore. Anyway, I can only think of one reason that DY & family want to search there, and that would be to find something of Terri’s that they can plant in the woods during their next search in order to get her arrested. JMO, sorry, but I can’t think of any other logical reason. When asked about whether or not LE is involved with this search, etc. and Kelly’s answers, this interview just furthers my belief that Kaine Horman has been told something about this investigation that Desiree Young & family have not. I think they have been out of LE’s loop for a very long time, most likely since the civil suit was ended. JMO
I agree with you, btw, TG is FOS. She stated she herself read what bad things Terri had said about Kyron. IMHO, that has never happened. This has turned into one of those situations where the facts have been so distorted, people actually believe they know something they don’t and the longer this goes, on the worse it is getting.
