Lima, Peru– Dutch National Joran Van Der Sloot, twice arrested as a suspect in the disappearance of missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, is a fugitive from an International arrest warrant for the murder of Stephany Flores Ramirez, 21. The International poker playboy was in the country for a poker tournament.

Ms. Flores, daughter of former Presidential candidate, Peruvian circus entrepenaur and race car enthusiast Ricardo Flores, was found murdered in the hotel room of Van Der Sloot after an approximately 4 hour encounter with him inside, as seen on security footage of the two.

According to Stephany’s cousin Rafael Vertiz, she was brutally beaten, stabbed, and wrapped in a blanket from the bed inside the room.

Vertiz told “The Today Show” that he last spoke to his cousin about a month ago, after a special aired about Van Der Sloot and the Halloway case and they discussed it via phone. It is unclear at press time if he was indicating Ramirez and Van Der Sloot actually met previously.

Van Der Sloot was seen leaving the hotel room alone, and reportedly took the victims vehicle at approximately 9 am May 30.

Late yesterday, the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) issued an arrest warrant for Van Der Sloot, whom they believe was last seen entering Chile by bus.

Dead Man Using Public Transit

It is this editors opinion, Van Der Sloot is on a Van*Der*Scoot to The Republic of Suriname, double time. Dead Man walking, is not actually walking as he was last determined to be using public transit to enter the Chilean border.

His surname, in Suriname, will carry the same clout it did in Aruba.

Suriname, bordering Brazil, is the only South American region where Dutch is the official language. It’s government is a democracy, with lifetime appointmentst in each administrative district and was inaugurated in 2005.

Former fellow suspects Deepak and Satish Kalpoe originate from the Republic of Suriname, and are legal citizens of the state.

Ironically, the countries motto, Justitia– Pietas– Fides’s English translation is JUSTICE-DUTY-LOYALTY.

Let’s hope in the event Joran Van Der Sloot makes it to her borders, she is true to her creedo.  As a Dutch citizen, he would be entitled to the protections of it’s government.

If not, one can hope he opts for the Guyana border and orders a Kool aid.

Aruban Reactions

Peter Blanken, the second Aruban prosecutor assigned to the Natalee Holloway case, told CBS news he was “personally shocked” by the developments.

According to Blanken, he does not feel this latest murder will produce any information in Natalee’s case but will be contacting Peruvian authorities today.

Despite Joran Van Der Sloot’s detainments, surreptitiously recorded confessions and admitted human trafficking deeds, he has never been arrested for or accused of any actual crime.

Julia Renfro, editor and chief of “Aruba Today” who has been a constant defender of both Paulus and Joran Van Der Sloot, is apparently choosing not to feauture the developments of Joran’s warrant and has opted instead to report on the break up of former Vice Presidential couple, Al and Tipper Gore.

True to form, the BOMBSHELL hit the Media circuit last evening, and featured guests abounded on Nancy Grace, Greta Van Sustern and Jane Valez Mitchell.

Ironically, the person most affected by these recent events outside of the Flores/Ramirez family, Beth Holloway has remained silent.

Joe Tacopina, US attorney for Joran Van Der Sloot, advised all to “not rush to judgement” about the murder in Peru and Joran’s possible involvement.

Yuba City, CA–

The Sutter County Coroner’s Office identified the woman shot in the foyer of her Mariners Loop home as Victoria Helen Roger-Vasselin, 67, of Yuba City.

Ms. Roger-Vasselin’s companion, Lionel “Lonnie” Patterson, is in the custody of the Yuba City Police.

A female census worker is said to have arrived at the home of the couple to intake their census information when she was told at the door by Mr. Patterson that they would not let her in and they would not be participating in the census.  According to the census worker, who has not been identified, she began arguing with the resident about his requirement to comply when he threatened her with a firearm.

The census worker then called her supervisor and was advised to call police, which she did, at 9:04 PM.

The conflicting reports start there.

The District Attorney states that the census worker was at the home between 9:00 PM and 9:30PM.

The Yuba City Police state that the census worker was there between 7:45 and 8:15PM.

My first question is,  if the police have an accurrate timeline, why would someone that was threatened and in fear of their safety wait almost an hour to report the incident?

Yuba City Police responded to the Vasselin-Patterson home with 5 Officers and were met at the door by Mr. Patterson, allegedly with a gun in his hand.

Officers preformed a “take down” maneuver and while wrestling him to the ground, Vasselin came around the corner with a shotgun pointed in the direction of the officers.  Currently, Patterson is being held on a “lethal weapon” charge; it appears he did not have an actual firearm.   Ms. Vasselin’s shotgun was not loaded.

“A bunch of things I think went wrong,” said Roger-Vasselin’s son, Matt Biscotti. “It was late at night, (my mother) was startled at the door, and I think the police were startled to see her holding some protection.

“It happened real fast, it was dark, and it was all quick. And we’re going to get to the bottom of it.”

Biscotti said his mom was still inside when she was hit, and that the gun she was carrying was not loaded.

Census spokesman Sonny Le said door-to-door census workers are instructed to visit homes late in the afternoon, evenings and weekends when most people are home. He said workers are not supposed to be out past sunset. According to the Census 2010

Le said the census worker was upset and took some time to compose herself before calling her supervisor in Fairfield, who in turn contacted Yuba police.

The incident in Yuba City comes on the heels of major domestic concern for the “Open Your Door To Census Workers” campaign.

In Pennsauken, NJ, the sharp eye and maternal sentry alarm of Amy Schmalbach resulted in the capture of a registered sex offender who allegedly has up to 16 aliases.

Frank Kuni, using the alias Jamie  Shepard, came to Schmalbach’s home on May 4^th to intake her census information.

Toward the end of the interview, which took place outside on her porch,  Ms. Schmalbach recognized Kuni from her frequent checks of the New Jersey Sex Offender Database.

This very important initiative occurs every 10 years.

Census Forms, which are filled out and returned, began mailing in February of this year. For those that either did not execute the survey, or receive it, you will be on the list for a vist from a census worker.

Yes, in 2010, we have a government program that encourages citizens to open their door without appointment, to strangers, and share the specifics about who lives in your home, including ages, employers and social security numbers.  I don’t do politics here, that is not the issue.

The U.S. Census Bureau has made the screening process for employees more rigorous than in any previous census. Each applicant is required to accurately disclose information about any conviction, imprisonment, probation, or parole in the last 10 years. All census takers must undergo both an FBI name check and an FBI fingerprint check. We disqualify any applicant whose screening indicates prior convictions or a pending charge for certain categories of crimes, such as murder, sex offenses, robbery, voter fraud, or other crimes that suggest a threat to safety or the integrity of census data.

Safety of our Families against victimization, and frankly the safety of someone ENTERING a strangers home, is paramount.

Charlottesville, VA– In a new development in the murder investigation of Morgan Dana Harrington, blinkoncrime.com has learned that Anchorage Farm was very much a frequent party spot for local musicians.

In fact, there was a 7 Mile Sleepover exactly one week after Morgan’s disappearance from the JPJ arena that included an invitation list of over 130 guests.

Jenny Bass, the adult daughter of David and Nancy Bass, is an accomplished pianist, musician, horticulturist and artist in the Charlottesville community.

The Seven Mile Sleepover appears to have been posted prior to Morgan’s disappearance, approximately October 14, 2009.

While it is unconfirmed how many guests actually attended the event, it is clear there could have been over 100 people within a few hundred yards of Morgan’s final resting place a week after she went missing, and presumably, her death.

As Anchorage Farm is a verified crime scene in an active murder investigation, one wonders if anyone found anything they may not have realized of importance at the time.
