Kindness of Strangers

While in prison, Casey Anthony continues to receive donations to her commissary account, largely from strangers. Over $1000 is currently in her commissary account, and the donors come from Florida and all over the U.S.  A High School student following the coverage of Caylee’s Memorial Service on February 10, sent $25 big ones. The Senior, a 15 year old gifted student felt moved by George Anthony’s requests at the memorial to think kindly upon Caylee’s mother. It is not known what the student is “gifted” in, but one might make the assumption it is not in character assessment 101 or forensics.

Padilla on Notice

On Friday, February 20, 2009 Leonard received the nastygram from David Evans, attorney for Roy Kronk.  Evans, originally hired to represent Kronk in matters relating to finding Caylee Anthony’s remains on the job, seems to have gone where no man has gone before: Lenny is quiet. At press time, Leonard has not returned calls for comment.

Evans is quite clear in his correspondence that his office will be reviewing Padilla’s past statements as well as any future comments regarding Mr. Kronk while contemplating civil action. Sources close to Padilla have confirmed that Leonard has been investigating Kronk’s account of finding Caylee’s remains and does not see an issue with it. He believes it is possible the meter reader may have been tipped off via his “daisy chain” theory, unknowingly.

Excerpt from letter:

“We are cataloging each and every false and defamatory statement you have made concerning Mr. Kronk and will be thoroughly reviewing your public statements,” “Even though your public statements are pure speculation, with absolutely no factual basis . . . they are taken by     many who do not know better as being true,” the lawyer wrote.

Kronk makes Good on Support

Roy Kronk has paid part of the over $10,000 in back child support he owed his former wife. He recently paid her a lump-sum payment of $5000 to settle the debt she confirmed via email.

I was able to reach David Evans, Roy Kronk’s attorney at his office this afternoon. He confirmed to me that Mr. Kronk made a payment of $5000 in back child support, however, he is not authorized to comment further at this time regarding the ongoing status of the child support situation, other than to say that Mr. Kronk is working through the Maryland child support process in an appropriate way.

Florida Bar Confirms Disciplinary File Opened

The Florida Bar Association Investigating counsel has confirmed to Blink on crime that the most recent inquiry/complaint filing regarding Jose Baez has resulted in a disciplinary file opening and is awaiting Mr. Baez’s response by March 6, 2009. In certain circumstances, he may be granted an extention by the FBA. It is not known if Mr. Baez will again be represented by Mr. Timothy Chinaris , former chair of the Florida bar Ethics committee.

Depositions in Zenaida Gonzalez Case Thursday

John Morgan, the attorney representing Zenaida Gonzalez, together with co-counsel Keith Mitnick, are scheduled to begin deposing George and Cindy Anthony this Thursday February 26th. Lee Anthony is currently scheduled for Friday February 27th. Brad Conway, the attorney representing George and Cindy Anthony has confirmed to Blink on Crime that he intends to fight the depositions taking place right now due to his clients emotional state, as well as the intended format announced by Mr. Morgan.

“The Anthonys are fragile emotionally, and questioning them in front of the press is ludicrous.” “This is not a media or public     spectacle,” Conway said. “It’s a serious matter.”

It really bothers me that there are people out there donating money to casey. If someone like that was on the jury she might not get convicted. We only need one person for a hung jury

That pic of Leonard Padilla as the “Child Stealer” from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is HILARIOUS, OMG. Great Work.

If I live to be 400 I will not understand anyone donating money to that vermin who killed her child. NEV-ER.

  3. Blink says:

    Lee- with ya.

If it matters, I do not believe this will go to trial, jmho.

The Anthonys are too “fragile emotionally?”

They were not too “fragile” too have a “love KC rally at Caylee’s memorial were they?

They were not too fragile to show up with KFN at Satsuma where they did nothing but pressers and no searching as usual.

I see the problem as LE not being willing to give them immunity and their half baked attorney can’t force them will all his press announcements.

    They had one extension……………..

I say, Let the depositions begin !!

    Turbo.

Yep. I wonder if the fact that Baez has not withdrawn his counter suit is due to the fact that he is currently under investigation by the FBA?

Discussion tonite on Nancy Grace seemed to indicate that Casey may have murdered Caylee in her own bedroom. How could anyone give one penny to this despicable woman? Cindy and George should just get it over with and do the depositions. I don’t think they have ever been at a loss for words before. It is just one more thing in the long line of disrespect for their murdered granddaughter. They just don’t get it. I am disgusted and sickened by all of the Anthony’s.

I’m really enjoying your blog Blink.

I read a post of yours awhile ago at scared monkies, where you stated that at one time you felt Leonard truely had Caylees best interest at heart, but after meeting him in person you knew he was into it for himself. Could you please elaborate on what made you feel that way? Thank-you.

    Hi Blink,

Any Idea when the Public will get to see the rest of the 1,000 pages of docs in the Anthony case?

    Thanks,

Just watched NG and Lee with his deposition. Laughing while talking about Caylee missing and his sisters tails of lies and He has the nerve to say he believes whatever his sister says…LIARS LIARs…

I think he is a nut case like she is

    Blink,

Where is the continued discussion for the post you started over at scared monkeys for the Zenaida gonzalez born in 1986 , I note her DL was suspended on 1-12-09 ….any updates please.

    Blink,

Honestly, has Padilla been right yet about a single solitary thing concerning this case? That homely old fart is like a gnat buzzin’ around your head. You just can’t seem to get it to go away. You might want to think about who has benefitted from this case and that includes online sleuthers who start up their own websites after years and years of trolling. Just sayin’…

  12. Blink says:

    Fight-
Padilla has been mostly wrong in this case, sadly, one wishes he used his powers for good.

If you are referring to me as the online sleuther benefitting from anything, you would be the person that has your facts incorrect.

I am very puzzled as to why George and Cindy won’t just go to the depositions and tell the truth about what they know. Just get it over with instead of dragging it on and on and on. This poor woman Zanaida Gonzales deserves to have her name cleared now, and not when the trial is over. She’s lost her home, her job, her credibility. That is so wrong. They seem to be more concerned about protecting Casey than justice for their dead granddaughter. There is nothing but constant daily drama with these people and they seem to revel in it. I saw a shot of Cindy at one point, trying to run away from reporters or the media, and she was laughing. WTH? I just don’t get it. I think Cindy and Casey with all their tug of war over Caylee need to be put in a mud wresting ring and really go at each other. I have no empathy for either one of them or Lee for that matter. Why didn’t Cindy question who the nanny was? I sure as he !! would want to know who was babysitting my granddaughter, where she lived, the telephone #, etc. And how does an unemployed deadbeat leech of a mother, have money to pay for a so-called nanny? Why would she need a nanny anyway? The dad George seems to be caught in the middle of these two controlling, manipulative women. We all know who runs the “A” household. And they all know something we don’t; especially Lee. How can he sit there at the deposition and laugh and joke. It’s beyond words to me. Oh, that’s right, he believes everything his sister tells him. Are you kidding me? Really? What rock did he crawl out from under? He never questioned anything either. At the child’s memorial service, they were trying to portray a family standing united. They’re about as united as oil and vinegar. Who the he !! are they kidding? They’re not fooling the public for one minute. GMAB. They’re all lying. There’s a lot more here than meets the eye, and it’s sickening. I only hope we can get justice for this sweet, innocent little baby girl who was born into a family of complete dysfunction. Nobody now in that family seems to be out there in public on her behalf, only on behalf of the nut case sitting behing jailhouse walls. Nobody in that family knows how to tell truth and even if they did, they wouldn’t know the truth if it bit them in the a$$. On all the jailhouse tapes, have you ever heard Casey say her own daughter’s name? I haven’t. The only thing she’s referred to her as ‘the kid’ or ‘I miss that sweet little girl.’ Have you read her text messages between her and her boyfriend where she refers to Caylee as the ‘little snothead?’ OMG, what kind of a mother calls her child that? Mark my word, somebody’s going to make a mini-series out of this one. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were book deals and movie rights being offered. That’s one way to get out of the hole, isn’t it, and pay for all these high priced celebrity legal experts. This just totally blows my mind. I wonder who’s paying for all this? The taxpayers of Florida? Who paid for all the security, etc., at the public memorial service? This baby deserves justice.

  14. Snowy says:

I guess I will have to be one of the ones who disagrees with Padilla’s Daisy Chain Theory. If Lee were to confide in anyone it would be Keith Williams. He was digging around in that same area Aug 18th and Oct 21st and admited to LE to being a childhood friend of Caseys. So I guess this makes it all total 3 different individuals (that I know of – and maybe a 5th if the rumor is true that George himself was seen in that area as well) all searching that same wooded area. Why Kronk though, I wonder? I guess he has his reasons.

  15. Blink says:

Snowy- funny you should mention that, I am working on a piece on that very issue as we speak :)

Its too bad the judge cant make a ruling that No One should make a profit off of this little girl
