CRAIGSLIST KILLER PHIL MARKOFF DENIED BAIL- BOMBSHELL EVIDENCE REVEALED
Breaking News– Semi-Automatic Weapon, No Bond, Victims were Duct Taped
Boston, MA– This afternoon Philip Haynes Markoff was arrraigned before the Commonwealth on murder, armed robbery, and kidnapping charges and ordered held without bail, or 1 Million Dollars Cash Bond.
Markoff was represented in court by high-profile criminal attorney John Salsberg. Mr. Salsberg has won aquittals in murder and attempted murder trials, but is best known for his work in the case of The Commonwealth v Bryant. Markoff through his attorney, entered a formal plea of Not Guilty on all charges. Several members of Markoff’s family attended the arraignment, as well as his fiancee Megan McAllister and Megan Trembley, the maid of honor in the couple’s wedding scheduled for August 14, 2009 in Long Branch, NJ.
Markoff is accused of the Murder of Julissa Brisman, and the kidnapping and armed robbery of at least one other victim. The Police are keeping mum on the charges for the third victim from Providence, RI, but industry experts believe it is just a formality to not interfere with the current proceeding and have to extradite Markoff.
BOMBSHELL EVIDENCE
This afternoon, the first victim from the Westin Copley Hotel, spoke on the condition of anonymity to Blinkoncrime.com. She stated that Markoff was definately the one who robbed her at gunpoint and DUCT TAPED her mouth shut on his way out. She called him a .”Scum and wishes he would spend the rest of his life in jail where he belongs..” She said she knew immediately the subject of the videotape surveillance was the man who robbed her and feels very possibly if she had resisted she might have ended up like Julissa Brisman.
A source inside the investigation has confirmed that Julissa Brisman was found with duct tape over her mouth as well.
Authorities have confirmed a semi automatic weapon, ammunition and accessories matching the exact one used in the commission of his crimes was found in his residence.
Markoff was initially found by investigators by following a computer trail by a system set up to document appointments of the women advertising their masseuse services. The trail led directly to Markoff.
Philip Markoff did not speak during his arraignment.

Great work! Blink, did the young lady happen to mention if he wore gloves when he put the duct tape on? I am a fan of fingerpints on duct tape. The trail to his computer, prints on tape, testimony from survivors, matching ballistics, Cell records and pings, cameras catching him entering and leaving the scene. That is also known as a prosecuting attorneys wish list. I don’t know for sure that they have all of that. They are probably matching ballistics as we speak.
Megan will see the light fairly quick. I bet her parents are about to read to her from the book of painful truths.

wow, we were just talking at lunch about how we felt sorry for his fiancee. Unbelievable. It’s one thing to show up in court as a parent to basically see your child for possibly the last time until a trial, but to be his fiancee and show up???? I’d be too busy burning everything I had of his.
Let me get this straight…Gambling debts + stress = robbing, kidnapping (with duct tape of course – sheesh!), and murder of a woman who advertised on Craigslist?!!! Here’s the thing, I could buy alot of that schoolboy overachieving, under parents shadow, blah blah stuff ( Im talking motive her, not accountability, hes a murderer pure and simple in my book) But that does not account for the flex cuffs (which are lot and mfg compliant) and a semi auto gun. Normal effed up kids do not have access to that. They just don’t. Er go, I think he has a seedier side, and victims that have not come forward. There is no sexual motive according the the 1st victim. When he was caught he was on the way to the Casino in CT.

Hey Greg, His fiance’ wrote an email expounding upon his innocence to CBS news. She was being left alone and decided to grab a glove and get in the game. She is in denial but has interjected her opinions. This makes he rfair game for the press. I gave my word to not speak ill of her for the first 48 hours. I think she will have a come to Jesus meeting with her parents and back away from being his public defender in the media. For now I am still feeling sorry for her.

Hey Greg, If LE had pictures of me going and coming from the crime scene, Emails from me to the victim, records of phone calls between me and the victim, the probable murder weapon, probable matching DNA evidence, duct tape on the victim that probably has my fingerprints, and zip ties from my home that match those used in the crimes, I would hope my wife would remain silent instead of looking foolish by standing by her man no matter what the evidence.
I said a lot of probablies. I am sure the lab work is still being done. I bet there are other things found that we have not heard of yet. I bet they found other things in his home that were stolen from the victims. They may have recovered cash in his possession that has the victims fingerprints on it. We do not know if he raped any of them, pre or post mortem. (understanding that at least two victims are still alive.) Most upper echelon hotels also have security cameras in the halls. This means they probably have pictures of him entering the rooms that have yet to be released.
So I would hope my wife would refuse comment until she had learned anthing at all. The blind love thing is cute, but a 24 year old girl that is intelligent enough to be in med school must realize that they do not arrest people for murder for no reason. She is obviously a fan of education so she should educate herself on evidence, investigations, and forensics. May the next few days provide her with understanding and peace. Also, may her older family and acquaintences sit her down and ‘splain it to her and help guide her through. And I feel she will be best served in the long run to remain silent now.
I have a feeling that will be the case. I have done some checking. I have mutual acquaintances of this family (small world, smaller state). Her Family appears to be well thought of in their community and they are in complete shock. Not of the narcissim or gambling, but the packing heat and murder stuff. IVOIRE, a wise man once told me that a couple’s children are ALWAYS on the outside what their parents are on the inside…no exceptions (maybe only one of the parents, but still a fact).
This is why outward appearances are so difficult for some folks to overlook. Personally, I wait for the person to show me I could even CONSIDER trusting them a long time before I make a decision on them one way or another.

There need not be any outward indication that this crime had an underlying psychosexual element involved.
Many times someone may be a victim of such without the crime showing any clearly definable sexual elements.
And to the untrained eye, even when it is an investigator, who lacks sufficient training in this area, may miss this completely.
The victim is not privy to what lies deep within this man’s mind, only to the outward expression.
The use of any form of restraint may simply be a part of his modus operandi, to facilitate or complete his crimes with little resistance, or it may also be part of a signature need/requirement to subjugate women (power and control issues)
I’d be very interested in knowing just how he restrained each victim, and what location (bed, chair, etc..)
And learning what may be found upon computer forensic analysis of his computer.
I would be willing to suggest that investigators will learn he has an interest in bondage scenes.

Chris- you may be correct in total, but the witness was adamant it was very quick, he paid zero attention to her, and she is a stunning woman I hear (arent they all). He tied her up, rifled through her stuff, got what he wanted, duct taped her mouth and buh bye. Phil Markoff probably assumed this was the perfect robbery sceme. These woman would never report a robbery because of their occupation. And if they did they would expose them selves to the public and the police. Wonder how many times he has really robbed women in this occupation. No sex just money. The murder is what brought focus to this crime other wise he could have gotten away with for a long time.

Chris is apparently right. All the cable news channels are now saying that CLK had the victims panties in his apartment. He kept momentos that were not valuable. I would not be surprised to find out that he also had kept some jewelry from them. I also hope that LE is checking pawn records.

Alternatively, if he removed Julissa’s to take as a trophy just before leaving, it might be exactly the reason she fought back. I could much easier see her doing that than fighting over her money with a gun in her face.

1. Panties are possibly property of perplexed partner. One news report I saw said she lived there also.
2. Probably not her panties because LE released to media that they belonged to victims. (allegedly no named source)
3. LE could only know this if fiance’ had said they were not hers.
4. If she said they are not hers then she is cooperating.
5. If she is cooperating, the truth has hit her.

I agree this guy was on his way to being a seriel murder. Especially because he struck 2 days after the news stories. This is common with sociopaths. They get further thrill from being close to an investigation, or by the feeling they are thwarting it or getting away with it under LE’s noses.
A case I know of when I was in LE dispatching was for a case of a girl who disappeared after a day’s work at our Radford, VA Taco Bell. Her dinner and purse were found in the passenger seat of her unlocked car, but she was missing over a week before her body was found a few miles away by traintracks. Amazingly, a retired police officer found the body while walking down the tracks! Turns out the mother of the victim had a man living with her…current BF…and when all was said and done, turns out HE killed the girl himself after an unsuccessful rape attempt. This tells me he’d have killed her had he been successful with the rape.
Also, this monster was out there on the news asking for tips and nailing up missing signs. Just how they are…really. That’s not the only story like it I can tell you either!
Hey Chris, I agree with you about the psychosexual element. I see it more as a sideline though. I think this was mostly about the money and possibility of taking objects with monetary value. His deep seated issues that led to his choice of how to obtain money are another element as well.
In the meantime I am going to go out on a limb and guess that the panties he took were clean. Taking someone’s dirty ginch is especially nasty if he was not involved in the soiling of. The med. side of him would not want the possible germs/diseases of others. I would also guess that his upbringing had a good hygiene chapter in it.
I also think we will see some jewelry surface that does not belong to his Sweet Baboo. It also may not belong to his three victims that we know of. LE immediately started asking for more victims to come forward. I will guess that he seemed practiced on these victims and that would indicate experience. We do know that there is a lot more to surface, hopefully soon.

I tend to believe the panties are a trophy. I don’t think this had to do with sex so much as putting the “bad girls” (his opinion not mine) in their place. He felt they were easy targets for robbery because they would not report a robbery. He obviously has some problems with ladies of this caliber though..the panties were the ultimate kiss off..trophys and a feeling of I got these without having to engage in the act with you. Check with this guy’s finance..I think he had some very pointed clensing issues with regard to sexual contact.

Hey Greg, I kind of agree with you on all points. Prosecuting attorneys dream of getting a case with huge publicity that is a slam dunk. This could not possibly be more of a slam dunk and we do not know all of the evidence yet. Megan may not be in denial. I do agree that she was when she sent the email defending him. A valid ID could get a lot of credit cards, etc. Especially if you show up to apply for one in person at a dept. store, electronics store etc. Only PM does not look like the photo ID he took. Although it may turn out to be the case, Markoff’s keeping victim’s Identification/Drivers Licences for identity-theft purposes..
I don’t belive this was his purpose.
I believe he kept the victim’s ID(s) as a souvineer, just as he had their panties.
(I suppose we will have to wait and see if this is the case

I am no longer sure that an ID was recovered. It was reported last night on CNN-HLN by a guy from the Boston Globe. In today’s articles it says they recovered an ATM card and some Amex checks. They have not wavered on the undergarments….yet. His acquaintences from his whole life are climbing out of the woodworks now to say what a dark creep he has always been. 15 minutes of notoriety.
Interesting to note that grandpa is a lawyer in VA. He said it is not within the realm of possibility that this boy did it. I am beginning to think that is lawyer speak for guilty as sin. Megan has stopped pontificating and remains silent for now. I predict that some other med student has had his eye on her for a while now. He will swoop in for the save upon her return to school. Time will tell.

Iam an Albany, New York taxi driver. I used to drive this SUNY student regulary in my cab. He had quite a visious side, temper, I used to get on. One night he ripped the side mirror off my taxi. When the Smallbany Police responded they said they wouldn’t do anything because he was a medicle student an didn’t want to ruin his medicle carreer with an arrest. If they did their job right maybe he could have received help he needed and people would still be alive. Thank you Smallbany Police for protecting him in responce to a meaningless taxi driver.
