Casey/Caylee Anthony Case: Anthonys Begin The “Alibi” Tour Oprah Says : Hell To The NO
New York, NY- George and Cindy Anthony made the first stop of their not so affectionally dubbed “Alibi Tour” on the CBS Early Show. Together, with their Attorney, Brad Conway, the Anthony’s were interviewed by Maggie Rodriguez.
In the First Part of their appearance, George and Cindy fielded questions about whether or not they believe Casey murdered Caylee. True to form, they deflected several responses to wait for trial. Cindy Anthony, however, was emphatic that Casey will not take a plea deal “for something she did not do. Ms. Rodriguez did not ask them any questions about the recent deposition in the Zenaida Gonzalez civil suit. (Part 2 of Video on next page)
If I were her, I would have also asked Cindy Anthony why she flubbed Zenaida’s name in her FBI Interview and called her “Zenaida Gonzalez Rodriguez” ; as I might have some relatives that would have been offended. But that’s just me.
In this brief second half video of their appearance, George reflects on his recent suicide attempt, and the stresses all the “outside” influences he has had to endure while trying to keep his family together.
The Anthony’s will be appearing tomorrow on CBS The Early Show as well.
Oprah Cancells Anthony’s
Late yesterday afternoon, Producers of the Oprah Winfrey Show announced they have cancelled the scheduled appearance of George and Cindy Anthony on April 29th. It was also learned that the Anthony’s only agreed to do the interview with Lady O provided there would NOT be a studio audience present. There has been no official announcement as to the reason why the A’s got the axe , but there have been hundreds of emails, letters, phone calls, and comments posted on the show’s site in an organized effort by the members of scaredmonkeys.com and the readers of blinkoncrime.com.

I only heard the end of George “NOT” talking about his so called suicide attempt. BORING as it was i turned it off. They have NOTHING to offer. The have drank so much of the CASEY kool-aid its sad. As a parent I can understand defending your daughter but…..with all the evidence they have, even they have to sit back and really think about it…..They can’t even keep their stories straight. They both have apparently lied time and time again. I had hoipe George would maybe see the light but……The whole family area bunch of liars who are just like Csaey…telling a lie to cover up the other lie until you have no clue what the heck lie you told. you would think their own lawyer would advise them to SHUT THE HELL UP….Seems he enjoys the free trips and meals too. The Anthony family has done more harm to Casey then good……Their”ALIBI TOUR” isn’t gonna work. Cindy and George Anthony say they want the truth. The truth is their grand-daughter’s hair, decomposition fluids & chloroform were found in the trunk of Casey’s car. A car Casey herself left in the parking lot where her parents found it.
Both George & Cindy smelled the odor of death in that car. Caylee’s remains were found just 15 houses from their home, wrapped in her own Winnie the Pooh blanket, inside a laundry bag from their home, inside a plastic garbage bag from their home, with duct tape across her mouth from their home and a heart sticker from their home. Who do they think did this to Caylee?
They never reported a break-in to their house, they never reported anything stolen from their house. The car was not reported stolen to the police, except by Cindy Anthony, the thief being her own daughter, not a car thief or carjacker.
This was a tactic Cindy deployed to get Casey to tell her the truth about Caylee’s whereabouts. Cindy had no idea Caylee was dead, she thought Casey was withholding Caylee to spite her. Cindy thought Casey was using Caylee’s absence as a manipulative weapon.
A lot of manipulation present in that family dynamic. When Cindy Anthony made those 2 calls to police in July, she wasn’t rational, she was panicked, as any decent human being would be. And one is in that emotional state, they speak the truth. Cindy said they found their daughter’s car today, it smelled like a damn dead body in the car. My grand-daughter is missing, I need to find her.
She mentioned the smell of death BEFORE she mentioned Caylee was missing. Cindy knew right then and there, Caylee was dead and Casey was responsible. She and George need to just accept the truth and stand up for that innocent little girl and see to it that her killer is brought to justice, even though it’s their own daughter.
They will never get on with their lives if they don’t face this. It’s the only way they’ll get through it. Sad as it is, they need to accept the fact that their daughter killed her child.
God, help them, I feel so sorry for that family. Casey has inflicted such horrendous damage upon them all. What an evil bitch she is.

I was reading on another blog that the Early Show is aired on a radio station in Orlando. I bet Casey was smiling from ear to ear listening to Cindy defend her.
‘Bottom Line Is’… nothing new at all, but soft, so soft voices from the interviewer and interviewee’s. Softening the image perhaps, that was accomplished in that no raised voices or conflict.
What was new was George saying something completely different from anything he’s said in the past to LE, to FBI or even to the media, that there was no confrontation between him and his daughter while she was ‘away’. Oh, that is NOT NEW afterall… yeah… another story version switcher-oo
with this version which means no challenging his daugher about stolen/borrowed gas cans, no conflict there, no playing the old cop and trying to see in the trunk to get his wheel chock.
Nothing new afterall… go figure!
It is amazing to me that they really think they can sway public opinion at this point. As mentioned above, why on earth would their attorney be going along with this – instead of keeping them quiet? At this point, they are ridiculous.
I, too, especially felt for George there for awhile. He seemed a man in so much pain. But given that we have all heard his LE interviews, etc., this is just over the top; he seems to be Cindy’s puppet. Bet they don’t stay together after Casey’s trial.
Somebody must have coached Cindy to tone it down & try not to come accross as such a rabid you-know-what; she went overboard with trying to play the sticky-sweet, calm, loving mommie. Her sinister arched eyebrows give her away though – LOL.

Blink, do you have anyone you know attending the Melanie Rieger Conference? The attendees encouraged are from law enforcement, legal professionals, as well as victims. I can’t help but think that ‘someone’ from the FBI or LE will be there and keep an ear to the ground since what the Anthony’s will be there for, is victimization of Casey as well as themselves. There will be discussions, questions raised and answered and a good chance of the question of Caylee as a victim of homicide, but what of advocacy for a child with no one except those in conflict of support of the killer of the child– what then? The real victim, the only real victim (the grandparents should have mitigated the risk, intervened, not be blowing off their responsibility on the mother as they did on CBS this morning), is the child at risk. They did nothing yet knew the sociopath word, knew there were risk signs. They, nor Casey accept any level of responsibility for Caylee and never will, it seems.

Thank you Blink. I think the Anthony’s are poster children for the dysfunctional family. Having said that though, George and Cindy are both (or at least “were” before Caylee was murdered by Casey) productive, taxpaying, contributing members of society.
They just aren’t very bright and they lack sophistication. Therefore their sociopath daughter continually preyed on them. I think the entire family was under constant siege by Casey. Her avarice for more, “gimmee, gimmee, gimme”, just wore them out, wore them down.
Quite frankly their entire world has unraveled and they can’t cope. I do feel sorry for them, because they don’t know how to react. I think they’re completely overwhelmed and in so much pain they can barely stand it. They have become bitter and angry that their family has been destroyed.
They lash out at the media, at the psycho-protesters outside their home, at the attorneys; these people have been through hell since Caylee’s horrid kiling. With all this craziness going on, they can’t even grieve for their grand-daughter.
And all of this is Casey’s fault. Did they make mistakes as parents? Yes, of course they did. But did they cause their daughter to kill their grand-daughter? No, they did not.
They deserve our pity and our prayers. I hope they survive this tragedy. Whatever their mistakes as parents, they do not deserve the punishment they’re enduring.
Their attempts at damage-control are pathetic & pitiful. I can’t explain why they are trying to help their daughter escape justice for this heinous crime. I suppose they just can’t bring themselves to accept the truth, yet. They’ll have to sooner or later, because Casey is going to be convicted and probably put on death row. All I can say is I am glad I am not in their position.
Blink, could you post the interview from the Early Show next to the Deposition Cindy gave under oath in a legal setting.
When all was said and done there was no strong support shown for the poor innocent victim of everyone involved who gave up her gift of Sunshine and remembrance as the innocent; Caylee will not be remembered or supported. There will not be a cry for justice or retribution as the people involved feel they have every right to make justification and are important victimized through any questioning their methods of clarification.

HOW CAN THEY ANSWER QUESTIONS ON TV, WHEN IN IMO THEY ARENT FINISHED ANSWERING QUESTIONS TO LE,
“Breaking their silence” In my opinion, the silence was nice while it lasted. Once the shut down the circus and the circle of lies, investigators have been able to focus on facts and the truth. This entire family has done nothing but waste the tax payer’s dollars with false leads, lies and “half truths”. They have spent 100% of their time trying to throw off the investigation and trying buy time for the defense, they have spent very little time actually looking for their granddaughter or the truth. They gripe about protesters yet they hand out the invitation for it every time they would change their story. This family changed their story almost on a daily basis to cover lies with more lies. Yes, their daughter is just following her parent’s footsteps.
Cindy is selfish just like Casey. Cindy has always only been concerned with protecting her own name, not Casey’s name. She does not want the world to know how much of a monster that her daughter is because Cindy would feel responsible because she raised and helped to create this monster.
The playing dumb card doesn’t work. Facts are facts. The same type of forensic testing which proved that the “remains” truly were that of Caylee’s, are the same type of forensic tests that will prove that Caylee was at the very LEAST, involved in Caylee’s death.
How could Casey drive around with Caylee’s dead body in her trunk without knowing about it? Casey just happens to abandon the car afterwards too right? Answer that Cindy.
I don’t think the Anthony parent’s are in innocent denial AT ALL nor have they EVER been in innocent denial. I truly feel that they have just been trying to protect their daughter. They could care less that their daughter had any involvement with their grandaughter’s death no matter how much forensic science is thrown in their face. They will claim that testing is not accurate etc…
Cindy Anthony is a joke! She claims that she only wants justice for Caylee yet she does everything in her power to prevent it. Cindy Anthony’s only motive is to protect her not so precious daughter.
The public already sees the Anthony’s for what they really are, no amount of Xanax before an interview can never undo what they have already done. Misleading and lying to law enforcement is a crime and they should be punished for it accordingly. Make no mistake……I am sure that once the criminal investigation and trial is over for Casey, law enforcement intends to bring criminal charges against all of those who intentionally mislead and lied to investigators during this investigation and trial process.
If they file charges against the Anthony family at this point in Casey’s case, the Anthony’s may gain some legal grounds for not having to testify against their daughter regarding certain things at Casey’s trial, which I am sure they would love for this to happen. AT this point, the Anthony’s ABSOLUTELY HAVE to answer all questions to avoid criminal charges BUT what they do not know is that investigators probably already have enough evidence already to pursue criminal charges.
And as far as Zaneida Gozales defamation suit goes…. I feel that Zanieda may have reason to go after George and Cindy for defamation because, Casey cleared Zaneida to Cindy personally on a jail house visit. Casey said something like…. that woman in Kissamee was not the same Zanieda, yet Cindy went through the media later on saying that Casey had not cleared the woman in Kissamee that law enforcement was talking to. This Zanieda was the only Zanieda in KIssamee that law enforcement was talking to at the time.
Cindy does not know how to be silent, she only knows how to lie and how to be rude, aside from making money on her dead grandaughter, she could possibly write the books on the topics such as rudeness and lying.
The cover of the book should have a picture of Cindy wearing her “deer in the headlights” facial expression that she often wears whenever someone asks her a legitimate question that she doesn’t want to answer.

OMG…yeah, i watch NG (laughter starts now), but anyway, i am ssooo tired hearing about this plea-deal casey won’t take. i may be mistaken but i thought the only plea the state put out was in the very beginning with limited immunity. so whats up with this deal the state hasn’t presented that casey will NOT take? it’s almost as though bozo is waving the ‘red’ flag and saying PLEASE offer us a deal, so then we know the dp’s not gonna’ happen. ’cause i’m thinking if the death penalty is still happening and the state doesn’t put out a plea-deal then its open and shut and casey is gonna’ fry, or take a very long nap ’cause FL is cool that way…you get to choose.

If you read the agenda, the quality of the presenters, the cross-section of professionals who are encouraged and do attend, it’s clear these people are doing this for victims, not for fame or to collect money, and they do not have the agenda of an Oprah or a national network, where public opinion is important for ratings. The feedback to Oprah, for example, was appropriate and welcomed by the show and there was the forum for that. But this is a bit different and won’t need ‘numbers’ to ‘protest’. Only information and they can put this in perpective.
It will be a shame if they have to spend volunteer hours or pay someone to manage a ton of email incoming just to sort through it for their own messages.
Karen Lee, the true victim’s advocates are disgusted with the Anthony’s circus and feel that their actions have damaged legitimate victim’s advocacy organizations.
Great little piece, Kathi Belich! (Hope that is ok, Blink– she nailed that one nicely and it’s not just a bunch of public protestors who the Anthony’s can say are causing problems for them, it’s people who are LEGITIMATELY speaking on behalf of Victim’s rights, victim’s support– not like George deciding, as the report states “George deciding to reinvent himself”.

(btw, would someone want to consider suicide if there were a possibility of a baby out there somewhere, taken away by a stranger? No chance– that would be the driving force to live– maybe suicidal after a body was found, but not for the Anthony’s, in July/August as Cindy claimed this morning. It’s again, ‘me me me’ just like her FBI interview– something about Casey– turned to ‘me me me’ in Cindy’s words– she was needing the attention when most family members wouldn’t think of themselves, it would only be about the missing child, not about the family member’s likes and dislikes or whatever was being asked of Cindy about Casey)
I’ll admit, I did feel a lot of compassion for these “grand”parents-but no more. Now, they just make me sick. If they ever cared 1 iota for that baby, this circus would have ended months ago. But instead, they choose to let that BIT?? run their lives & jump through hoops for her. WTH? The only question I have left, is who fathered Caleigh. Because as much as that BIT?? loves money & the extremes she went to get it {besides getting a J O B, that is}, you can’t tell me that she wouldn’t have demanded child support or gov. benefits.

The ‘Early Show’ was lucky enough to be the first stop on the Anthony’s Alibi Tour or sympathy for the Devil. I’m so sick of their lies & ever changing personalities. After the spectacle they made of themselves at ZG’s depo, which IMO is the real C & G, they must have had some sort of image coach come in & take the gum out the mouth of cud chewing foul mouth pathological liar Cindy & teach George to have facial expressions more like a man instead of a petulant little boy, a brat that diverts from the tough questions with nasty little temper tantrums.
Oh & that was the lamest, fluffiest piece of unprofessional non journalist piece of crap interview I’ve ever seen in my life. Why bother when that boring Maggie Rodriguez who’s afraid to talk above a whisper with the A’s didn’t dare upset them with any relevant or touph questions? Good Lord she demanded nothing of the A’s & that’s what they gave to her, nothing but more of the same contradictions, & lies, Lies, Lies. Maggie R. has the personality of a doorknob, it’s the first & last time I watch the Early show groveling & pandering to the A’s again, forget tomorrow’s part 2 I wish the a’s would drop dead.
