MISSING AND ENDANGERED OCOEE WOMAN TRACY OCASIO- DO OCOEE POLICE HAVE A POI IN GREG C TOOLE?
Ocoee, FL– Missing since between 1 and 2 am Wednesday morning, Tracy Ocasio, 27, was last seen leaving The Florida Taproom Bar with an as yet unidentified male.
Yesterday, in an interview with the My Fox Orlando, a friend of Ocasio’s, Greg Toole, spoke out about his friend Tracy and his personal acquaintance with the man Police have questioned.
Tracy’s friend Greg Toole says he once worked with that man she was seen leaving with, he says he even taught him to be a personal trainer. He remembers the last time he heard from her during one of the basketball games, “Go Magic. She would text me back “Hell yeah,” laugh. That’s about it.”
“I know he’s an all right guy.” “It’s a little disturbing to hear he’s involved in some way or another,” “I was cool with him so I’m gonna remain positive and think that was just the last person she was seen with. That is not the person who was involved. That’s what I’m hoping,” Toole said.
An alright guy he says? Well, let’s hope Ocoee PD has a higher barometer than Mr. Toole and are checking both men thoroughly. Mr. Toole is a registered Sex Offender and convicted drug dealer, currently out on a bond awaiting trial on a new felony charge.

 Mr. Toole, his actual name, not a euphemism, was convicted of lewd and lascivious acts in 1994 at the age of 22. He was arrested for intent to deliver/manufacture cocaine in 2003 and sentenced to two years in prison, for which he served about 1. 
 That’s not all.
Mr. Toole provides 2 addresses, one where his father with the same name resides, and the other, very close in proximity. Both addresses are within 1.3 miles of where Tracy Ocasio’s car was found abandoned on Franklin Street.Â
Toole was also recently arrested for not registering as a sex offender, with the DMU. He is currently free on a $2500 bond, awaiting trial on that felony charge. His last court date was on 5/18/09.
Not making any accusations here, Mr. Toole has not been named a suspect.

I feel like this is a personal episode of CSI or something I am watching unfold in front of my eyes. Why are you the only one to catch this guys name and check him out?? If he is involved he should be off the street, why wouldn’t cops do what you did? Are they focused on the other guy? OMG.
Where would you look for her? Please we need your help. Nobody is taking this seriously.
I am very sorry to hear that. I am clueless as to why the press has already stopped covering this girls case.
I always encourage people to work closely with the detectives on the case. Let them do their job. However, if the family feels not enough is being done, or there are no organized search efforts to find her, they need to escalate.
Personally, If I were advising them, I would seek k9′s at the scene where her car was found. (Homeland security certified only) and I would have side scan sonar on Starke lake days ago. I hope Ocoee spoke with Toole. If they have not, I would advise the family to call the detective promptly.

I was going to say to look for someone who was either bald or balding, too… I don’t want to jump the gun, but if this person was at the bar the night Tracy went missing, I’d follow up on him.

If I read his physical stats correctly, he’s 5’5″ (Toole). He certainly had plenty to say and they gave him a lot of ink in the article. I felt like he was speaking from the perspective of a family spokesperson. I wonder. I have a feeling both Toole and the unidentified man seen on camera may be sharing a horrible secret. I wonder where Toole was that nite and if there is any footage of him leaving the bar and the time frame. It’s very unfortunate that a woman has to keep her guard up even with men she considers friends….but I’m afraid many men have other ideas than just friends. What a shame.

That’s what I saw, too: LE stats show this guy to be 5’5″. He is a very short man. 6’5″ is a very tall man . . . HUGE difference. Not even close. LOVED the ceiling joke, Red! Hear you are a big guy . . . LOL.
On that note . . . I am a very tall female – 6’3″ – and in my experience – often little short guys like this are very aggressive with women & act as if they have a lot to prove. Just speaking to behavior patterns -no idea if that is true here. Regardless of his stature, it could have made him angry if such a pretty lady only wanted to be friends . . .
He certainly is not an ‘upstanding’ citizen, anyway . . . (kind of a tall joke, but not so good.)

Works drywall? 5’5??? Where was he in Jan 2006????? Could this be a connection the Jenn Kesse case? Think about it- Jenn’s 28th birthday was 5/20… Tracy goes missing 5/27.. at the age of 27… interesting at least.
UCF- I knew I would find you here on this one. A mutual colleague of ours and I spent half the morning thinking the same thing. However, Toole was incarcerated when Jenn disappeared on 1/24/06. I have confirmed that he was at Liberty CI, NOT eligible for work release, almost 4 hours away. Regardless, I’ll be honest, I would like to know more about unidentified guy, and I have a very hopeful feeling that Tracy’s case may lead to bringing Jenn home. As you know she worked in Ocoee, and unidentified was a trainer, as in, works at a gym.. Catch where I am going with this?

Can you tell us what the connection between Jennifer Kesse’s disappearance and a gym and/or personal trainer are? I’ve done some research and I cannot seem to link the two together. I can see some general similarities between these two missing women cases, but I get the feeling that Tracy was abducted or harmed by someone she was familiar with while Jennifer Kesse was the victim of a total stranger. I guess there’s information I am not aware of.

I agree with you, this case is going to need more media attention and someone to keep it in the news. I don’t know why LE and the media aren’t doing more to help and why there’s so much secrecy when it comes to this unidentified trainer. I hope Tracy’s family will get the assistance they need to do that.

Hey Blink, I know most states have rape shield laws that limit public information available about the victim. This is a good thing but… Is there any way to find out if Toole’s victim, although below 16 y.o., was about 5’6, 125 lbs. I’m curious about the possibility of similarity of victims. I also find it not believable that he raped, then was a good boy for 17 years.
Hey Everybody, The man who left with Tracey. What could he possibly have said or done to clear his name so quickly with LE? It almost sounded like the one LEO wanted to buy him a beer and introduce him to his sister. Could he have passed a polygraph? Could the cell pings show that he and Tracey traveled at a high rate of speed in opposite directions? Why were they sure so quick that he was a cherub?

I am wondering if Toole’s conviction in 1994 was a rape or a statutory rape? I know he was 22 yrs old and far too old to be “dating” a 16yr. old, but it happens. Any idea of the specifics?
Ok…lots of new developments in the case.A person has been arrested!!! The unidentified man is now identified–he is James Hataway. Mr.Hataway lives 1 block away from where Tracy’s car was found.

I dated Jimmy many years ago. We broke up for several reasons but mainly he was getting into drugs and I couldn’t stand his friends…Mr. Toole included. Jimmy is 5’9″ and Mr. Toole is shorter maybe 5’5″, 5’6″. Jimmy has a huge heart and is a loving father, I can believe the drug charge, and that someone had to give him a ride home from a bar but I cannot believe he would physically hurt a woman. Ever.

Yes, Derrick, there are several other charges, I think what they were asking was what YOU were referring to specifically. He has a really poor DUI/violation of probation record in Seminole County, but I can tell you as a fact there are no charges on file for this woman’s assault currently. That does not mean it did not occur, Im just saying there is nothing pending to corroberate her story. I have to be responsible about what I put out there.

I see a lot of her friends posting and they seem pretty dedicated to her.

this is crazy… i grew up with jimmy “james” hataway,,,, the guy is a real piece of crap, growing up he was always causing problems and always in trouble. i once saw him punch his mother in the mouth when we were teenagers (his parents are both deaf)….. i last saw him about a month ago when the magic were playing the 76′ers, he was at gators dockside in pine hills, he was sitting in the corner by himself pounding drinks down eyeballing every woman in the place with a strange jeffery dahmer type look…. i just thought to my self “this guy is still a ascumbag” and low and behold he still is….. bury him under the jail.
Wow. Somebody has got to tell me how feedback on this guy is split down the middle? Is it a timing thing? Some knew him long ago, most know him now? Anyone?

Just my opinion, totally a guess just throwing it out there, maybe he has changed severely due to change in drug of choice, one gf mentioned it was only pot and someone else mentioned maybe a lil more recently meth…maybe climbing the ladder in into more hard core drugs. i am just saying maybe with the more hard core drugs he is changing and maybe has burnt alot of bridges? i have seen many ppl i knew go from just pot to meth and never left mom and dads and no jobs that type of thing, ppl i would have hung out with an said were good ppl then but have made poor choices and changed alot from the harder drugs that i would not even claim to know now. does that make sense? i dont know if it is just something they are doing locally in my state or not but they have a rather rapidly growing issue with meth and are showing pics and skits of the faces of meth and how it changes you….

Tracy Ocasio could make new friends anywhere.
When she visited South Florida beaches as a child with her mother, she often would point out a family with children and tell her mother that they were friends and she wanted to sit next to them.
After Elizabeth Ocasio sat near the other family, she would discover that her elementary-school-age daughter didn’t know anyone in the family at all.
“She saw a kid her age over there and just knew that kid would be her friend,” said Elizabeth Ocasio.
Ocasio, 27, has been missing since May 26, when she disappeared after watching an Orlando Magic playoff game with friends at Taproom, a bar in Orlando’s MetroWest neighborhood.
On Monday, Ocoee police named James Virgil Hataway, 28, as a person of interest in the case. He is currently in the Orange County Jail on drug-related charges. On Tuesday, Judge Heather Higbee, who also questioned Hataway’s juvenile conviction on kidnapping and bodily injury charges, ruled that he had to remain in jail because he was out on bond in a different case.
A Seminole County woman also came forward Tuesday to tell Ocoee investigators that Hataway had attacked her nearly a year ago when she gave him a ride from a Casselberry bar.
Hataway, who told investigators that he had met Ocasio at Taproom about two weeks before her disappearance, said he had given her a ride home, but cell phone records indicate that she was in the area of West Franklin Street in Ocoee, near where he lives, as late as 8:30 that morning. Ocasio’s car was found at a vacant lot on West Franklin near Hataway’s home.
Her parents doubt she would’ve left her car there voluntarily — especially at night.
“She was afraid of the dark,” said her father, Joe Ocasio. “There’s no way she would’ve been there by herself, with no lights, no streetlights.”
The Ocasios have distributed hundreds of fliers and are desperately searching for the daughter they describe as “outgoing” and “the spark of the party.”
She attended high school in Fredericksburg, Va., and moved with her family to Central Florida in 1998. During the past 10 years, she worked a series of restaurant and retail jobs, including positions as a Denny’s waitress and sales jobs at arts-and-crafts store Michaels, a pet store and Ross Dress for Less.
In recent months, inspired by the example of her brother, Valencia Community College student Joey, 18, Ocasio had spoken of going to school, possibly to study radiology — not an unusual choice for the gregarious young woman with eclectic tastes, said her parents.
She kept two lizards, two scorpions and a cat named Cookie as pets, and for Christmas, she’d asked for books about World War II aircraft and ancient Rome’s caesars.
Her interest in radiology was sparked after her father spent time in the hospital.
With a trembling voice, Elizabeth Ocasio said she last had spoken with her daughter just before the Magic game started, when she called to find out whether Ocasio would come home that night or spend the night with friends.
Ocasio said she would return that night to the home she shared with her parents.

Comment to #40. I’d think this guy would have to be off the harder drugs to know how much they have to do with his behavior.
But guessing it goes like this, HE CONTROLS what others perception of him IS, and he “gets off” so to speak on this. Operative word is CONTROL. HE IS CAPABLE of acting (Academy award style)in the manor of a nice stand up guy, and again does it well, if that’s what HE WANTS someone to think of him. He decides. These are the folks who say it just ain’t possible.
Normal human attachments aren’t formed, on his side, but they ARE on the other persons side. That IS the bottom line if he behaves with this contradiction with or without the drugs. Does not attach, reducing all human relations to a “game” of control. He decides period.

It’s the biggest clue, the contradictions. They don’t all kill people, but in shades or degrees it plays out the same. Every damn time, like watching a bad rerun. No attachment, try to imagine it.
Ever read Hare or Stoudt’s books? If not look into it, if so read it again. Hard for a “normal” to wrap your head around.

thnx B – i just got wind of all of this tonight – late timing on my families part – but there are alot of us – as far as DERREK goes – you really know what your talking about when it comes to ocasios – we all have the life in us. i’m stuck in pa, and very frustrated. i want to come down and help but i’m stuck here. anything you all can do down there will be very much appreciated by all of us – ocasio – diaz – reyes – rodriguez – we have a big family – but we need all of us, EVERYONE. help us find her PLEASE.
