Tracy Ocasio Case: Sewer By Hataway Home To Be Searched Today
Ocoee, FL– Additional search plans for Tracy Ocasio, 27, last seen at the Florida Tap Room leaving with Jimmy Hataway on May 27, are focused on the sewer by Hataways home today.
Last week, the septic tank was drained in the home that Hataway shared with his father Vrigil, following the seizure of two computers.
Ocasios yellow Chevy Cobalt was found a few blocks from Hataways home the day after she was last seen but Police have not called him a suspect in her disappearance.
The Ocasio family recently launched a site, www.tracyocasio.com to help generate leads in her case.

Sunday/Nonameplz, Internet communications can be tricky sometimes, because reading and comprehension are subjective to the reader, not the writer. You know what you mean when you write it, but it may be comprehended differently from you intent.
You stop short of calling Rachel a liar, but you strongly implied that she exaggerated or misconstrued the incident with Jimmy. I pointed out there were photos reported of her injuries at the time of the attack. What say you to that?
Rachel says she did follow up and cooperate with the authorities to see that Jimmy was prosecuted and was very upset when she learned charges had not been filed against him. Something is wrong with the excuse LE is using to defend its failure to file charges 9 months ago. The LE version of events doesn’t jive with Rachel’s. Someone is not telling the truth. So let me ask this, why is there enough evidence NOW to prosecute James Hataway, but not back when it happened? I think they dropped the ball. They had witnesses and photos, plus a victim.
As for your supposition that Tracy must’ve liked bad boys if she had a date with a Hutto brother or (according to Hataway) smoked pot, I submit there’s insufficient proof for that opinion. This girl did NOT do anything wrong by giving Jimmy Hataway a ride home.
None of us really knows what happened to Tracy. All we have is a video tape showing her leaving the Tap Room with Hataway, her car found the next morning near his home, her cell phone pinging in that area and Hataway’s story. Nothing else has been made public.
One of the brothers had an arrest in 1998 for sexual battery. After all was said and done, he got credit for time served and did 1 month and 22 days. A Kidnapping w/intent charge went poof. There was also a burglary charge where him and a crowd burglarized a dwelling and beat the inhabitants in 1999. This was compounded by a co-crime of wearing a mask to conceal a crime. Poof, gone. There have also been drug charges, domestic abuse, batteries, civil suits for not paying bills etc. Nothing is ever done to this clan. Maybe some good legal mind on here can tell me why. Who is protecting them and why? Why do the members of LE arrest them, only to have them come right back out o fthe turnstile and not be charged? They must have something good on someone important to make these serious charges go poof every time.
I don’t remember all the details now but it is like getting arrested for hacking someone’s arm of during an armed robbery and pleading to failure to provide a band aid. Who is covering these boys tracks, and why?

Hey Turbothink, Good to see you posting here. Are you saying that, in your opinion some psychics are not honest? And some dogs couldn’t find a hamburger if it was stapled to his tail? I reckon I would have to agree.
Also, I have not seen anyone speak ill of Tracy. If she was smoking crack, stomping puppies on the weekend, and painting swastikas on daycares, she still does not deserve to be wherever she is now.
I do not smoke but do not consider pot smoking a real crime. If it was, then about 85% of all adults should be locked up for their past transgressions.

Fairwitness – I never alluded to Rachel lying. I said that when someone is scared to death, sometimes their recollection of events can be askew. That in no way implies that she’s lying.
The pot issue – I don’t care. It has no bearing on what we’re trying to achieve here. It has no bearing on the fact that Tracy is missing.
Red – this is the subject that I think needs to be explored. The Hutto’s are not just bad guys, they’re BAD guys. The fact that they haven’t spent any real jail time concerns me also. Do they have friends in high places? Goes back to the cryptic message left….tall tree. Could this be someone in a top position in LE?
I’d also like to know if LE has questioned the girls that were with the Hutto’s at the Tap Room when the altercation with Tracy occur. If one or both of them felt the least bit “dissed”, I can see a big revenge motive there.
Could Jimmy be protecting his father from retaliation if he were to spill the beans?
So many questions. I thought reporters were supposed to dig for the facts. Maybe we should get a well known crime writer like Ann Rule to get involved. Bet she could get to the facts.
Sunday- If you meant to offend me you did. The only reason the “facts” are even out is because of my work. The only reason anyone even knows about Toole, or the Huttos involvement is from this site. There is a great deal I cannot write on because this is an active case, but hands down, in this case, the breaks and “facts” came from here. For instance, you mention “girls at the Tap Room”.. And where prey tell did you read that little tidbit? Anne is a crime novelist, whom I deeply respect. She would be the first to tell you she is a writer, but not actively involved in contributing and reporting on a current case. Big diff.

Blink – I in no way meant to offend you. I don’t know you’re background or your experience. I apologize. I know that you brought up Toole and Hutto in the very beginning before anyone else and several other things that I’ve seen no where else. I was thinking more along the lines of what ties LE has with the Hutto’s. The girls at the Tap room that I was referring to, I saw in the media one and then I saw two, were with the Hutto’s when the altercation with Tracy occurred. It was reported that she had words with one of them.
Ok, apology accepted. There has been bickering on here today over nonsense from people that have been sharp contributors here in the past and I hope in the future. Perhaps we all take a second to agree this is a highly emotional case, with some very serious “players” and the best way for us all to wrap around it is to hold hands. If I have not been clear enough for some, let my spell it out- This case has W A Y more going on than meets the eye and I promise Mr. and Mrs. Ocasio, and hopefully Mr. and Mrs. Kesse, that this does not end up like Satsuma; Not if I can help it, my best advice to anyone who might be protecting anyone is to be the first to cut a deal -or assume the position.

Maybe a dumb question but I haven’t seen it asked anywhere.What are the chances that some dirty LE is involved in this?
After the articles I have read about certain local LE officers and their consequences (if you can call them that) for what they did I truly wonder.
Possible scenario: she leaves Hataway’s, on way home down Franklin, pulled over or waved over by LE? Oh please tell me I’m not even writing this!

Hey Rebel, I want to be clear that it is just my opinion but I am fairly proficient at adding two and two. It almost seems like it has to be a snitch, partner, or blackmail situation. This started at least 11 years ago. We don’t know about juvenile records. Whoever is involved must carry a big stick to keep these walking crime tornadoes from doing a lot of time.
On a side note, I don’t think Rachel is lying. I am, however, unsure she is telling the whole truth. I do remember seeing early on that she did everything that was asked of her by LE. My opinion is that LE could not find Hat so they passed it on to the SA. Since Hat was not in custody, the SA blew it off to concentrate on a bird in the hand. When it all came to a head after Tracy disappeared, the SA tried to cover their collective asses by blaming the victim. The way that they blamed her was predictable and transparent. A lot more face could have been saved had they just fessed up from the start.

Is there any way to find out if a satellite view was available for the area of the Tap Room the night Tracy disappeared? This may seem a little far fetched.
I totaly agree with red’s post #152. Red, I have learned that the police department has one of the Hutto brothers as an informant. That is why their messes get clean real quick. I am sure that they told Hataway, that he would be set free in no time. There is also reports of unethical treatment towards an Ocoee police woman, who sued and settled winning monetary compensation. All this is posted in the local Ocoee tv stations sites, as well as some of the local tv websites. Justice will most definitely will be God’s in this tragedy.

There are some very interesting calls on the night of her disappearance. That is one major find there. There is a LOT of good information in those calls to the area over the time period.

Posted this earlier today over at Scared Monkeys, trying to get some round table dialogue going over there as well . . . looks like many similar conclusions are being drawn here, too . . . The LE crime log pdf certainly backs our concerns up, doesn’t it? Great job whoever found that & posted it.
I keep re-reading the Danse Macabre riddle/clue posted 07/03 & mulling it over in my mind as I go through the day. As we continue to attempt to decipher the meaning of the message, I keep asking myself who it was addressed to . . . and why. The poster is clearly speaking to whomever is searching for Tracy, alluding to ‘someone’ is waiting for her to be found; almost like a taunt. Who else could they be speaking to besides LE, whom they know reads Blink’s forum – or that Blink is at least in contact with LE regarding information? Could that also speak to “…we had a code asshole”? Referring to the code between LE & informants? It has been intimated that one amongst this ‘gang’ is a ‘snitch’ – I believe it was Paul Hutto. Certainly just looking at the records of these criminals reveals that some continually escape prosecution (as pointed out by so many above – including Red Ranger) . . . which does in turn scream INFORMANT, no? . . . OR, unfortunately perhaps, a member of LE that has been doing some under the table dealings with said informants on the side . . . . . (someone above also suggested the ‘dirty cop’ scenario).
Is it possible that this could be a message from an informant (Paul Hutto?) to such a person in LE? Someone in LE who might know more about what happened to Tracy, but is keeping ‘SILENT’ to cover their own behind?
Isn’t it just enough to make you want to scream your head off??

I think AG McCollum may, but I can tell you for a fact that Gov. Christs’ office has been notified by some of the contributor’s here- I was just sent a copy of a letter anonymously.

Re: Danse Macabre – it must be for LE – they certainly wouldn’t be sending messages to each other within this “Gang” if these messages are even remotely traceable and highly noticeable on this site – must feel confident enough to post them here. I think it’s more like a threat than a dangling clue – a warning. There’s one thing I can’t figure out – maybe I’m behind on this – but I can see a motive in the Ocasio case – the connection with this group and the altercation the weekend before – but if the Kesse case is also associated – what was the motive and/or connection there – I didn’t get the impression Jennifer would have been hanging around this group. Are they just two separate random acts by the same crew? It’s also strange that there isn’t ever any blood or physical evidence – but then that could go back to Hataway attempting to strangle and break Rachel’s neck that night – perhaps that is how he attacks? No blood? I don’t think one person can pull this off?
I think that little poem was meaningless, written by a vouyer for kicks, and it provides no useful information. These half-literate drugggies–Hutto, Hataway, Toole–can barely hold down a job, let alone construct a complicated riddle.
Even if Hutto is golden with law enforcement, that doesn’t mean he’d have any motive to kill Tracy or that LE would go so far as to cover this up. His serious offences being dropped is, sadly, quite common b/c LE mistakes, over-charging at the front end, reluctant witnesses, mediocre state’s attorneys, etc. Prosecutors are generally wet behind the ears and not the best law students; they make shitloads of mistakes all the time. It’s also consistent with him being a confidential informant, but that will not give you a ticket to murder people.
Once again: last person seen with Tracy was a violent ex-con who committed a similar crime last year under similar circumstances. Why is the car where it is? Probably because the keys were lost in killing, scuffling with, or burying Tracy. Who are these other people? The naturally suspicious ex-cons that all ex-cons hang out with. If we look at all his friends, a great many are theoretically capable of having killed Tracy, but LE has likely already looked at Toole’s, the Huttos, and a great many other peoples alibis, cell phone records, DNA, etc. And if not, they should, if only to clear them and move on with the case against Hataway.
What do they always say? Follow the money.
Beyond the police dept. – is the govt in ocoee notoriously corrupt? Do they have a mayor? Who’s “The Tallest Tree”?
This is really sad, and here I preach to my 2 son’s that the police are good people. Twisted world, so Tracy tried to stop a fight at the bar, she called the cops on an informant. They want revenge, and she goes missing and there’s still no answers. What still keeps comming back to me is Jimmy stating that he was innocent, I mean it was said is a very firm type tone. Like he was getting taken down for something he didn’t do alone or at all. He get’s questioned and searches ways to commit suicide, he is sitting in jail and no one want’s Tracy to be found. The Hutto’s seem like the worst possible canadents for informant’s. They spell nothing but trouble.

You know, it could be that Ocoee PD detectives, assigned to Tracy’s case, have uncovered evidence that strongly implicates Hataway, but that evidence hasn’t been divulged publicly.
Don’t you think that under such public scrutiny surrounding Tracy’s case that the Ocoee elected city officials would be leaning on their LE personnel to get this case solved? Surely they’re monitoring your blog, too. If a woman in rural WV (me) is, surely Ocoee’s movers and shakers are.
You would think, but I disagree they have any strong evidence that implicates Hataway. I dont believe that’s the case and I think there was alot of knee jerking going on initially.

Perhaps whatever involvement there may be regarding an informant doesn’t go higher than Ocoee P.D. However—
While I don’t have access to FL criminal records, I recall Red Ranger mentioned Hutto’s (et al) have records cleaned up beyond just Ocoee, more than one county. If that is correct- my first thoughts — DEA perhaps? Let’s face it, from some of what we’ve read, it doesn’t seem too far out of the realm.
Any research on C.I.’s will not brighten anyone’s spirits on this case I’m afraid.
IIRC State Attorney General would be the ‘go to’ for contacting Dept of Justice on problems involving informants (if that is the case). This one is scary to me folks.

If you’re right that there is no real evidence against Hataway, Blink; what justification do they have for holding him without bond?
Hataway was booked into the Seminole County Jail on charges of burglary with battery, robbery and aggravated battery. I am assuming these would be bondable offenses, unless Hataway was on probation or parole at the time. Do you know if he was on probation or parole?

Where were those gunshots heard? If someone was actually shot, they must have left them there? Buried?
Your article on June 6th stated he was incarcerated in the Orange County Jail on a bond revocation for a criminal mischief offense in April. He was extradited to the Seminole County jurisdiction subsequent to that. If he bonded out in Orange County, where the bond was revoked, would that follow him to Seminole County? I am ignorant of those laws.

Here’s the evidence Blink, and it’s strong: violent record, last seen together, car near Hataway’s house, prior MO confirmed, no alibi, cell phone pinging near his house. That’s enough for a conviction.
It’s the other shady people for whom there is no known evidence. Some may have motive, Toole in particular, but beyond that the evidence is weak, nonexistent, or nondisclosed.
No need to make a simple case like this more complicated than it needs to be.

Yes, bond would follow. He’s considered a “hold” for the other jurisdiction, and if gets out in Seminole, he’s taken straight to Orange. Sometimes mistakes happen in these cases and folks are accidentally released, but he should have a hold for Orange County in Seminole County for his VOP/Bond Revocation.
Blink and RR- Do you think all these boys are involved in the KKK of central FL. Its real big down there. Maybe someone higher up in LE is also a member and is helping these boys out. I would love to know if their crimes involved any minorities.

I need to clarify something please. Did Tracy go missing on 5/27/09 or 5/28/09? Was she at the bar on the 27th and because of the time, disappear on the 28th?
She was out the eve of 5/26, left the Tap Room after 1:30am 5/27, I have seen it reported incorrectly many places.

BTW, post #183 LuckyLou, Blink reported here that Jennifer Kesse’s parents informed authorities, after Tracy Ocasio disappeared and Hataway was a suspect, that their daughter had frequented the Florida Tap Room bar. She was also a previous member of the Cardio Club gym next door to the Tap Room.

I disagree with Roach’s comment #176. Paul Hutto did have a motive to kill Tracy. His egotistical self center ego could not let go the fact that a girl hit him, and then called the cops on him. These group of arrogant low lives live to bully and scare people. Tracy was retaliating when she hit him, because he knocked her down. It is so tragic, that a mere punch, which could not be so severe coming from a female, made this Hutto want to hurt Tracy, to the point of killing her. Hataway was the stooge that handed her over. This groupd of low-lives druggy-drinking group have no respect for life at all. They can’t excape God.
I wonder if the 911 hang up was Tracy trying to call for help.
Is the exact address of that 911 hang up call from Wyoming Court listed anywhere? Has the Hutto home been searched?

Well the 911 system in Seminole County has the exact address, Blink. It’s an absolute outrage that this hang up call has not been followed up on. That the Hutto brothers home hasn’t been searched. With everything you’ve uncovered and publicized here, LE has probable cause or the avenues to get it. My God….
