Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Padilla Interviews Released Today

Orlando, FL– In the latest blow to the defense team dealt this week, The interview recordings of Leonard Padilla, Tracy Mclaughlin, Rob Dick  and bail bondsman Tony Padilla are set to be released today.

Padilla and his team met with Agent Nick Savage of the FBI and a member of the Orange County Sheriffs Office in their home town of Sacramento, California last Fall.

Lead Investigator Corporal Detective Yuri Melich was slated to make the trip to interview the bondsquad personally, but was injured the morning of his flight in a motorcycle accident.

Jose Baez and the defense team for Casey Anthony argued to keep the Padillas et al out of the witness box alleging their was an “agency” established between he and the group, which would render their testimony work product and privileged. Not only did Judge Stan Strickland say in open court that he had never seen such a motion; he denied it entirely.

Tony Padilla, through Prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick, alleges that the agreement contained in the defense motion was not even the agreement signed by him in the first place. Ms. Burdick requested the originals of the agreement in question; it is unknown at this time if they have been turned over.

The recordings will be added to blinkoncrime.com as soon as they are available, please check back for updates.

her attitude about the decomp in the car! her comment to tracy just makes her guilt more ovious!!

  2. Kleat says:

Blink, question– every time something comes out that the Anthony’s don’t control, it seems they cause some drama, a ‘scene’, an act of rudeness in front of cameras to sensationalize themselves in the cause to distract from what they don’t like being said or done (ie: Rude George and the scene/interruption of Mark NeJame and Tim Miller).

Rumour has it, that at the Anthony home last evening, there were several cars ‘visiting’, including Maurey’s car, Lee’s G/F. Possibly the Milsteads? Maybe Dominic Casey’s car was one of them according to an uncomfirmed source.

Do you know anything about this, any speculation on the next ‘media/information’ control/distraction to what Cindy and George, Lee and/or Baez want?

    Who was visiting the Anthony’s?

I’m awaiting their next move– something’s coming down the pipe if past behaviour serves to predict.

  3. Kleat says:

Dominic Casey at the area of ‘the crime scene’ is released– much more new footage of Suburban site, and the abandoned home.

Why would he poke the ground, without a plot and plan?????? It makes no sense, either idiocy and irresonsibility, or a plan to say a search was done, and ‘SEE’– nothing there! Proof!!

  4. Kleat says:

(and why no high boots– to show there was no need because it was dry– but what about the real concern of steping on or past a snake that will be ready to strike?

  5. Kleat says:

Look at the pavers DC pokes under at 10:30 on that video– http://www.wesh.com/video/20728364/index.html

If DC knew they were not the right size for the Anthony pavers, as Cindy argued, then why didn’t DC know this would be the wrong type of paver? Didn’t Cindy tell him or couldn’t DC see what the Anthony pavers were like as wall blocks, or under the playhouse? (duh)

  6. Kleat says:

And July 3rd– Rob Dick and his interview tape– ‘July 3′. Something happened on or by July 3rd… Rob thinks it may have been in a call to Cindy from Casey, and something Casey may have said. Blink thinks something was found in the backyard… on July 3rd. (thus yard revamping, next day IIRC)

so sad for little caylee that she would have to live in such a sick inviroment. she didnt have a chance. listening to tracy puts more clarity to the real casey and family. even the anthonys didnt seem to discuss or show feelings for caylee. this girl has deep issues and is very narcissistic!!
it appears to me that each family member has big issues!! it seems that george in the begining tried to find out what happened but than cindy intercepted. HLN is showing pictures of casey in court in her blue jail issued outfit! she has this big grin in on her face. not a care in the world.
and baez lied so much much that is why he didnt want those recording released. he knows shes toast I just want to see this trial over and casey either go to death row or life in prison but somehow I think thats not good enough because if she gets life she will adapt and go on with her scheming self!!! SHE IS PATHETIC~~~~~

  8. chica says:

SO CASEY ACCORDING TO TRACY IS GOING TO FACEBOK AND MYSPACE TO DO HER OWN INVESTIGATION!! DOESNT BAEZ REALIZE HOW DAMAGING THAT IS TO HER CASE.

Re: George not being able to hear things in the house, dude’s getting kind of old, could he be hard of hearing? (Not the best feature for a security guard, but possible.)

  10. BEES KNEES says:

That’s true, Kleat — Blink’s journalism is very well written and far more credible than what we’re hearing from any msm (with the exception of Kathi Belich for reporting and my BF Bill Sheaffer for analysing). I wonder how Baez’s tummy is holding up today? Hee!

  11. Lisa says:

So, can we assume that it is ABC that is paying for Casey’s defense?

  12. Norm says:

I read earlier that we had to wait until these interviews where realesed whether it was serious or not i’m not nothing bad i am getting at but am i to think and understand that ABC! has paid for this womans defense? becouse of the media coverage as casey said to sell or get anything out there to finance her defense am i wrong is there someone esle behind this? becouse the defense casey has IMPO is better than what OJ HAD? HOW THAT’S POSSIBLE IS BEYOND ME! becouse Casey was and is a nobody where OJ had money…judge Strickland didn’t think it was bad shall we never know? i think the honorable citizians of florida deserve and answer. i hope to get at least 1 response.

    Justice for Caylee Marie♥

  14. Kleat says:

LIsa, IIRC, ABC paid 1/4 million for rights to photos (someone will correct me if I’m wrong in the details, like someone who has read the Blink ‘crab puffs’ and Ritz all crackers story lately).

TP:Tracy convinced Casey to talk to Leonard. Leonard went into the house and went on a tirade about how she better not lie to him and did she know who the f*** he was and he didnt travel 3000 miles to listen to her bs and she had better tell the truth because he could see through it and on and on all about himself. Casey got really mad and told him to get the f*** out of the house and not to talk to her like that. He got the Zenaida stuff from Cindy. How do I know this, because I was there!!!!!!! One more thing “I am not writing a book

Q:Who do you think is more behind the idea of the Anthonys not getting to visit with their daughter – Baez or KC herself?

Have you heard anything about any friction between JB and AL or any of the rest of the defense team?

TP: I have no idea. I will share this with you though. Leonard talks regularly with Baez. Almost daily. Supposedly one of the attorneys and an investigator flew to Sacramento over the weekend and met with Leonard.

Q:Hi Tony, thanks for showing up – don’t really want to get off-topic on this thread, but do you know if Jose provided the state attorney with the original copy of your agreement, and what the determination was?

TP:The last I heard was that he has not provided those original documents.

  21. suz says:

    LOL, Kleat!

Hey, can someone explain this statement to me? (Why did he think Geo was saying “Where’s the body?” based on the quote below?) From the WFTV article Kari linked to above.

    snip

McLaughlin says George made a chilling comment about Caylee.

“He said, if she couldn’t trust her own family to raise her kid, I don’t. That’s just his words,” McLaughlin told investigators. “I think he was saying, ‘Where’s her body?’”

  22. Lisa says:

Did Tracy suffer a version of Stockholm Syndrome while watching Casey? Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad she told all but why give a child-killer money and send her letters?
Lordy- this is SO going there, I can feel it
    B

  23. Gypsy DD says:

Well, well, well..everything about Casey and her self absubtion has been proven true in each of the three interviews.

Neither LP, Rob nor Tracy interviews showed any signs of a loving compassionate mother wanting to find her child..nor the grandparents trying to find the child.

Cindy is evidently placating Casey the whole time, while George has had enough of the lies and wants Caylee found, and Lee sounds like an accomplice if I ever heard one.

Lee knows what happened to Caylee ..he knew where she was..and tried his best to advert all attention away from finding her. My bet is Lee is the person on the phone with Dom Casey while he is searching the woods.

Cindy is denial..and George has taken a powder. All confirmation of what everyone suspected from the start…Casey loved the attention. Casey involved in looking for Caylee or speaking about her..not so much.

Eric Baker doesn’t sound Italian to me..just another name in the notches on Casey’s bedpost.

  24. Lisa says:

    Gypsy,

Right on about Lee! I think he has an un-natural attachment to Casey and would do anything for her! Even covering for murder.

  25. artgal16 says:

I think Tracy’s interview would have had more impact if she answered questions without all the laughing (what was there to laugh about?)
and with a little more professionalism. Rob Dicks interview was certainly much better as far as his composure and straightforward answers.

  26. Gypsy DD says:

Blink..From Tracy’s interview I thought she felt this whole family was absurd..especially Casey and her narcissism?

I really don’t think that Tracy sent her money or anything else..she was at the point of going crazy living with her. She even says in the interview Casey had no friends to call or talk to because (Tracy’s assumption) no one could really take the “chatty Cathy” mode all the time. If it wasn’t about Casey it appears it wasn’t important.

I thought if they had not gotten Tracy out of there when they did she would have spent the rest of the time sleeping on a cot in the backyard and smoking like a chimney.

  27. Gypsy DD says:

Blink..Tell me I am wrong..it’s okay..you will still be my BFF.

  29. ChicagoJudy says:

How frustrating! Lisening to Rob Dick’s interview and it cuts off right before he tells Lee’s big lie! Ugh. Are there more audiotapes coming?

  30. Gypsy DD says:

Lol Blink..I meant..Tracey seemed like she wanted out, but sending money to Casey later? I think not. What do you think?

To be honest, I am a bit uncomfortable with her laughing through the entire interview. My first reaction was that she sounded like a female Lee to me.

  31. Joan (Canada) says:

#51, I heard that the A’s were going to be on the Today show tomorrow.
Do not confirmation of that, but it could be what you are looking for.

Robert Dick seems to have some strong feelings towards Lee, which surprises me in that he received immunity and all.

  32. lily says:

I can see Tracy trying to keep up a dialog with by sending Casey a little money and correspondence in jail at the beginning – before lil Caylee’s body was found. I mean, we’ve all been trying to get inside Casey’s psyche for over a year now. So if Casey was responding I can see it.

  33. todd in tulsa says:

I think George and Cindy have only supported the daughter-of-the-year for the sole purpose of keeping the gravy train running. They new that if they had been straight forward and revealed the truth about the murder queen, then the train would have been derailed. Tell the truth, give what you know, and its no more crabpuffs, no more blood money for photos, no more Ritz Carlton, no more tv airtime, and whatsmore, public pity

  34. truthiness says:

Blink, I am in awe of your knowledge of the inner workings of this case.

I believe what they heard and saw first hand and what they attest to, but, the defense is going to pick it apart or try to discard this testimony as heresay. NO?

I see an evil, lying, completely self-centered, seasoned manipulator, veteran actress.
She is not insane. She knows the difference between right and wrong – - as indicated by her lies upon lies to hide her criminal actions.
She feels superior to everyone and that she can outsmart anyone, particularly those in authority. i.e. “scumbag cops” as she puts it.
During house arrest in particular, she didn’t exhibit feelings of sorrow, fear or compassion over her “missing daughter”, or hardly any other emotions for that matter.
Why? Because IMO the little actress had to focus on not showing that her “upbeat attitude” was actually due to the fact that she knew (since the middle of June) her daughter was no longer in her life or in any of the lives of those connected to her. She was now gleefully back at home and back to being the center of attention in her narcissistic world.
She felt in control of the bail-out crew, and played her games with them all.
IMO, she knowingly and continuously took advantage of Tracy’s good character and cruelly played her, planting small seeds here and there – - i.e. the “advance” mentioning of chloroform. As a result, cruel, distress-filled recognitions awaited Tracy down the road as LE uncovered and released findings only known prior to the guilty party.
I believe Miss A. relished in her own handing-outs of “punishment” to others – - remembering “with great power comes great consequence”.
Her intentional “casual” dropping of words and statements like “chloroform” or “the use of a shovel in moving the pool ladder” (interestingly, per Tracy, said in the presence of her mother which opens up a whole other avenue of discussion) which would later be found to be “bombshells” is further example of her need for “one-up-man-ship”.

What a perverse game she made the loss of her child into, IMO.

Sorry for the long rant, typos, grammar. Thoughts are running overtime after listening to only Tracy’s audio – - not even going to listen to the others.

  38. ChicagoJudy says:

#87. I don’t think Tracy’s testimony would be considered hearsay. Wouldn’t that be the case if someone told Tracy what Casey said? Tracy was there, had one-on-one conversations with C. It’s more like her word against the pathological liar’s, isn’t it? I know who I’d believe! Tracy’s whole purpose for being there was to help her team find Caylee. That means a lot more to me (and hopefully the jurors) than a lying narcissistic party girl who decided not to report her daughter missing for over a month. And only reported her missing because her mother found her car and her.

    EXCERPT:

How close did the Anthony family’s private investigator get to where Caylee’s remains were later found?
Looking back at video of the private eye’s search, Bolden estimated that Dominic Casey was nearly 345 feet from the path to Caylee’s remains on one day last November. The next day, the private eye was about 60 feet from the remains, Bolden said.

So that it doesn’t get lost, I am re-posting an earlier question that I had. Did anyone find any answers on the photo? Was it Casey’s photo, or an evidence photo? Excuse me for my lack of knowledge. It was in the new slide show of 40 some odd photos.

Who or what is Graham, Builder, Jones, Pratt & Marks, LLP to this case? Why is there a photo of this?

  43. todd in tulsa says:

So, Cynical Cindy and Curious George have knowledge of Casey’s involvement and responsibility, since they can’t (or won’t) relay this to LE, they poorly attempt to stage a dramatization to make it appear that Casey had no involvement. Hence, hiring private investigators Dominic Casey and Jim Hoover to go directly to the spot where the Anthony’s told them Casey left Caylee, and armed with a video camera as “in their minds” proof that someone else must have done it since Casey was in jail. If this is the case, George, Cindy, Lee, and Dominic Casey all need to be charged with conspiracy and obstruction and thrown in jail

I hope that it is okay to pull a post from the OS. People on your blog have speculated that ‘orlandoeast’ may be a member of the Anthony family. Of course, we can not know. But it definitely is someone that is defending Casey Anthony. I find the psychology and minimization of actions fascinating, particularly… “their vendetta using a petty theft case (really just a misunderstanding between friends) where every penny of the paltry sum was paid back.”

Interesting, huh? How do we ever arrive at” a misunderstanding between friends”? Is team Casey going to assert that Amy told Casey to use up all of her funds from her bank account. it’s so absurd? Any thoughts?

    POST:

This has become a sick joke. There was never any EVIDENCE in this case – so they are tainting the jury pool with irrevelant photos. Without EVIDENCE, they carry out their vendetta using a petty theft case (really just a misunderstanding between friends) where every penny of the paltry sum was paid back. I call that a form of DOUBLE JEOPARDY. What they DON’T have: No Witnesses. No Video Tape. No Confession. No Motive. No Weapon. No Fingerprints. No Soil match. No Drugs. No prior criminal record. What they think they have: An “air test?” The testimony of a Police dog? A dead snake? Irrelevant photos taken BEFORE Caylee was missing. A body mysteriously “appearing” in an area that had been searched. An unaccounted for Father. A jealous boyfriend? Judgment of a Frightened and Traumatized Young Mother’s actions. The testimony of a witness implicating someone other than Casey. The opinions of a media crazed, red neck bounty hunter? Reams of Junk Science. Reasonable doubt? When will this nonsense end? WAKE UP SHEEPLE! God Bless
